                <description><![CDATA[ <div class="icon"><img src="http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n404/da-scholarsproject/icon1.png" height="50" width="50" alt="" /></div><br /><br /><div class="h1_light">So what is the Scholars Project?</div><br />The dA Scholars Project(dASP) is a petition for a small (or large) Scholarship to be awarded from dA to a worthy applicant who plans on pursuing a degree in the Arts. This includes majors such as Creative writing, Art, Culinary Arts, Graphic Design, etc.<br /><br />It wouldn't be a random deviant picking, or a "who's the best artist/ who draws the best yaoi" type of thing, but rather a scholarship for someone who really wants and needs it. There aren't a lot of Art Major scholarships out there, and I'd really like to see this take off, and hopefully get backed by the dA administration, but in order for that to happen, I need the backing of the dA members.<br /><br />There's a lot you can do to help get this thing up and going.<br /><ul><br /><li>Spread the word</li><br /><li>Post a Link in your signature</li><br /><li>Write a Journal</li><br /><li>Plan to Donate</li><br /></ul><br /><br /><div class="h1_love">How do I show my support?</div><br /><img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/pointr.gif" width="11" height="10" alt=":pointr:" title="Point Right" />It's really simple, just watch this club and spread the word. One journal is all it takes! Try to get as many of your friends to support this as possible. We need all the help we can get. If you plan on donating, you can send a pledge in, that is, a note saying how much you'd donate if this ever gets off the ground. But notice: We are not asking for, or accepting any monetary donations at this time Unless you plan on buying a subscription for this account, no donations for the scholarship are being taken.<br /><br /><img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/pointr.gif" width="11" height="10" alt=":pointr:" title="Point Right" />We are currently also looking for staff, that is, permanent PR people.                 <title>Academic Artist's Contest- November Applications</title>

                <description><![CDATA[ <div class="icon"><img src="http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n404/da-scholarsproject/icon1.png" height="50" width="50" alt="" /></div><br /><br />The dA Scholars Project(dASP) is hosting a new feature for young artists who are going to or are planning to enter college for an art degree. Once a month we will showcase a talented young artist, complete with thumbs and an interview.<br /><br />If you know an artist or would like to be featured, simply fill out the application below and send it in a note to *<a class="u" href="http://da-scholarsproject.deviantart.com/">dA-ScholarsProject</a>. We will only feature one artist a month, and the deadline to apply is the last Saturday of every month, at <b>11:59 EST</b>. The winner will be posted in one week.<br /><br /><b>This month's deadline is: November 28th</b><br /><br />If you don't make it, feel free to re-apply until you do! Though, once you win, you cannot re-apply.
