16^th July 2007:- Um.. wow... it's the summer holidays for most of us! The rest of us will have to wait a week or so! But either way, it's summer! Also, sorry about taking a while to update things, again, but I've been busy with lots of different things, but don't worry, I'm on the case, as usual!

Now, it seems as though things are going ok for dAGamersTrivia, we are getting more questions, and we should be able to open up very soon! But we do need more questions, and if your willing to help or you have questions you think would be good to add, send a note to ~dAGamers applying for a position as a moderator so you can help out, or if you only have a question you think is a tricky one, just send it in a note to me, =photofroggy, and I'll add it to the bot as soon as possible!

Apart from that, I'm sure you guys will be interested in what's going on with the account, although you might not, but yeah, COMPETITION COMING SOON! I think... if I can funds, prizes and the like, and judges, I'll get the competition going as soon as possible! So, just comment on this journal if you're up for an art competition! Yes, it involves art! AND it will be gaming related! Oh yes! Sign up below... oxymoron much?

30^th May 2007:- Guess what? No, guess.... ok fine I'll tell you. #dAGamersTrivia will be up and running again soon! We have a new and much better bot than previously to run trivia, and a fine script, script by myself This really should help make things easier in #dAGamersTrivia!

Despite the developments, we do still need you help! We need moderators for #dAGamersTrivia! We need people who can act as moderators of the chatroom, keep order and make sure that no one is breaking rules, and we also need mods to be adding questions! Currently ~CJ-Boy has been working on adding questions to #dAGamersTrivia's database and we currently have 27 questions.

As you might have guessed, it would be ideal to have much more than 27 questions on the trivia database, in fact, I would like to aim for more than 100! But even 100 doesn't seem to be that much to me, it just seems that would be a reasonable point at which to actually open the chatroom properly again, and I would intend on adding questions continually. Say, more than 1000 questions would be brilliant

If you would like to help work on #dAGamersTrivia send an application to this account (~dAGamers). Use the application form below.
Do you know how to use deviantART's chatrooms properly? Do you have any experience with using bot commands? Do you have a broad knowledge of video games? Why do you want to work with #dAGamersTrivia?

26^th April 2007:- Hey there! Looks like there might be a competition coming up for you guys soon enough, envolving prizes, quite possibly subscriptions! Maybe some other stuff as well. But we will be working on this behind the scenes to make sure things happen good! So keep an eye out!

04^th December 2006:- Hello people! It's almost christmas, which means some of you will be getting the console or video game that you have been waiting for for such a long time! Maybe you are getting a Nintendo Wii, or an Xbox 360 at a reduced price, or still waiting for that long awaited PS3. Whatever the weather, we at ~dAGamers wish you all a happy holiday (when it actually comes ).

Unfortunately things haven't been going too well down here at ~dAGamers, seeing as we haven't updated since August this year, and 2007 is in plain sight. It is time for ~dAGamers to make a new start!

Just like last year, ~dAGamers will not be open for business during the holidays, which means new submissions and join requests won't be accepted after this journal entry until another entry is published early in 2007. Yes, I know that there haven't things haven't been up to date recently and there are still people waiting to be added etc., but I assure you, all those who joined using the old method (+watch) will be added as soon as possible, however, a new method of joining may be required when the club opens up again in 2007.

There are going to be alot of changes to come for ~dAGamers, hopefully for the better, and should get you guys more involved!

Despite the policy of not accepting submissions and such over the holidays, if you have a christmas themed piece of fanart you would like to submit to the club, send a note to my main dA account (~photofroggy) with the subject line as "CHRISTMAS SUBMISSION" and provide a link to your deviation in the note. As always, you must be a member to submit a picture.

02^nd August 2006:- It's August everyone! A new month, and time for a new way for you to get involved with ~dAGamers! ~dAGamers wants you to write articles themed around the gaming industry and then send them in to us. That means reviews on games, any insider information you manage to get hold of, and your own news articles based on the gaming industry!

To get involved, you will first have to write an article! Make sure it's a good one, and check your spelling! Also make sure it has something to do with gaming. Then put your article on deviantART somewhere! Put it in your own journal or upload it as a deviation.

Next you will have to send the club a note containing a link to your tasty article! But you must be a member of ~dAGamers to send in your articles.

At the end of each month, the best articles will be featured in a journal on ~dAGamers and uploaded to the club gallery permanently!

All submissions are greatly appreciated, but not all articles are gauranteed to make it onto a journal here at ~dAGamers.

02^nd July 2006:- The members list has been updated, and people who have been waiting to be added to the list since April have finally been added to the list. I would like to thank you all for your patience.

I cannot apologise enough for this massive delay, but I haven't had the time to update the members list previously, and ~CzeroX doesn't have very stable access to the internet.

I would also like to apologise for letting this club slip down to a certain level of inactiveness. I would like to ask for your patience again until I can get things sorted out and more active again. I would also like to ask you to show some interest and contribution towards this club.

If there is any way in which you can help out, please let us know! If you have an idea for a competition, let us know! If you have ideas to make the chatroom more active, let us know! If you are prepared to do whatever work we throw at you, let us know!

If you're paying attention, let us know! It is really encouraging to see people respond to the journals put up here, and the deviations (even though you're not meant to ). We have approximately 200 members here, but with the amount of comments recieved, you wouldn't really guess it.

If you see one of our journals, just pop in and say hello, or give us some feedback!

Come on guys, you're the people that make this club! I'm just trying to keep it up to date. Competitions, activities and community projects should spice things up a bit! Any suggestions are appreciated, and should be sent to ~dAGamers in a note.

In other news, ~dAGamersLive has been closed down due to lack of time and staffing. It has a chance of opening again in the future if enough people are interested in joining staff for that account. Details can be found at ~dAGamersLive

The ~dAGamers Magazine project didn't exactly go to plan, so it's being re-drafted, and I will kick things off again with that as soon as possible! Also, if anyone would like to be the group leader for the Xbox writers group, please send a note to this account with your application. You will have to be prepared to do work, and not just say you will. Any help is greatly appreciated.

29^th May 2006:- OH NOES!!!! Sorry guys... things went a bit crap for a while, meaning that dAGamers Magazine didn't happen, and the club hasn't been updated in ages, so I've got a few members to add... really sorry, I will try a bit harder to keep this place going, but you never know...

dAGamers Magazine will probably get a proper start and actually get released, and things may get interesting around here. But please remember that all work done here is done by people who work voluntarily for the club. This means that no one gets paid or anything, so people are at liberty not to do any work, but when they do try, it is appreciated!

Please show some love to the people who stick by dAGamers! And show your interest in this club! Send us a note saying hello! Comment on a journal! Comment on the userpage! Drop by the staffer's pages and say hello!

We need you, the members, to be a part of this as well. It isn't a club if the members aren't active! It is my fault that nothing has been happening, but something will soon, just give us feedback! Let us know you're still out there!

dAGamers Magazine is going to be re-drafted, and attempted again, and it looks as though ~korsokov dropped out on us, meaning that the Xbox writers group kinda didn't know what was going on...

23^rd February 2006:- Ok, =MLGn00beater has stepped down from the position of group leader for the xbox writers group. This means that you, again, have the chance to become a group leader.

21^st February 2006:- Sorry for not updating the club in a while, I just haven't had the time to do it. I will update the members list ASAP! I am now in half term so I should have more time to do these things. I personally apologise to all of those people who have not yet been added to the members list, but please, bare with me!

I would also like to remind everyone about the ~dAGamers magazine project! It hasn't been going well, as the group leaders haven't been sending notes in giving us details on the group members. This is a warning to all group leaders. Send notes soon, preferably before the end of this week, or you may find yourself being replaced!!!! I also urge the group leaders to make sure that you only hire people who are serious about working on this, we don't want anybody dropping out half way through an issue and have no one actually know about it! The dAGamers Magazine project CAN NOT WORK WITHOUT EVERYONE'S FULL INVOLVEMENT! I am quite dissapointed at the current progress of aquiring group members. We should be working on our first issue by now!

I'm sorry for giving all of you guys a rant to read, but I this is the way I feel, and people who really are serious about this project, should be feeling the same way around about now.

29^th January 2006:- Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, gamers of all ages! Let me introduce unto you, the chance of a lifetime to make this club blossom into what it can truly be! That's right, the dAGamers Magazine is officially in the works! But we can't celebrate just yet, there are a few things to go over first.

Staff:
Yes, we need more staff, the magazine cannot be done unless we get more staff. But it isn't as simple as you sending a note into the club account asking to be a staff member, oh no, it's much more complicated, but we do already have staff ready to work in the magazine!

Structure:
How are we going to get the magazine organised? Well, here's the deal: We are going to have four groups of writers, one for each gaming platform. So that's a group dedicated to writing articles for Nintendo, another one for Sony playstation consoles, and so on! There will be a group leader for each group, someone who manages the group, the person in charge of everything going on in that platform report! People who want to write for a group should send a note to the respective group leader.

23^rd December 2005:- Don't worry, we are only going to be closed for christmas! We are going to be closed from the 23^rd of December (today) until Friday the 30^th of December.

This means that people who join during that time will not be added to the members list until after the 30^th December. There won't be any fanart uploaded either, unless christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate related.

In other news, ~KickWars is developing well, and ~HPU has found some bugs and fixed them. If you are a player of ~KickWars then know that if the bot is locked down for debugging then we are only trying to make it better for you. Just wait for a few minutes and it should be back to normal

~dAGamersLive hasn't recieved many gamercards or friend codes and we do hope to host some tournemants in the near future! Keep an eye out for that but remember that ~dAGamersLive will also be closed during the christmas season, unless someone else can be bothered to do anything with it.

12^nd December 2005:- I personnally apologise to the seven new members who have been waiting since November 30^th to be added to the members list.I must say that I have been very busy and haven't had the time, so please bear with me. I really do do my best to keep the club up to date, and the best chance I have of updating the club is on a saturday. I also apologise to the people whom have sent in fanart but have not had them added to the gallery as of yet.

On a brighter note, ~KickWars is doing really well. ~infinity0 has completed version 2.4 of the game, which now includes team events, and duals! I am planning on making a training arena, so new people can get a good feel as to how everything works .

If you haven't already, please check out ~dAGamersLive, we are not doing as well as hoped right now, but we are hoping to get up to speed pretty soon after christmas! Remember, it isn't just for Xbox live, we will have tournemants for PC games, Nintendo DS online, and torunemants for the other consoles when they come out .

26^th November 2005:- Mario Kart DS was released yesterday across the UK. This is the game to launch wireless play across the world on the Nintendo DS! It has new tracks aswell as circuits from the classic games, and new karts but the same drivers. The game promises to allow people to play at home aswell as at hotspots around the country. Many more games are to follow Mario Kart which will also allow people to play with each other from around the other side of the world. I went out and bought Mario Kart DS today, I just need to configure my Wi-Fi router, and away we go

25^th November 2005:- As many of you may well know, the Xbox 360 was released this tuesday in America! The premium package console sold out instantly, and there was an armed robbery where two Xbox 360's were stolen. It is my belief that the launch could have been organised much better, as people qued for hours only to discover that they couldn't get the console that they pre-ordered. But apart from that, plenty of people went home happy, with a brand new Xbox 360! But the troubles didn't end there...
Some of the people who actually managed to get their Xbox's, discovered technical faults on their Xbox. It is reported that consoles have been over-heating, games crashing/freezing and consoles not acting as a console, just a DVD player.
Although there are quite a few faults, the amount of reports are very small compared to the amount of consoles actually sold. Microsoft have also stated that they had predicted there would be problems, and that they recieved very close to, if not the same number of reports they predicted to recieve. This was reported here on a BBC news website.
Apart from those very few troubles, everything seems to be fine! The Xbox 360 is released in Europe on the 2^nd of November. I, unfortunately, will not get an Xbox 360 until after christmas because I didn't pre-order it early enough. 20^th November 2005:- It is with great pleasure that I welcome ~HPU onto the stafflist of ~dAGamers. He has been interviewed over a space of two minutes and then hired. His main job will be hosting the ~KickWars bot when ~infinity0 can't do it. But when they both can't do it, who knows, maybe I'll have to do it.
~infinity0 still continues to improve KickWars and is doing a great job with it! Go give him some love! Also, he has appointed ~Israeli-Cat and *gfx-sheep to administrate #KickWars, so watch out, we have people to keep an eye on you!

If you wish, you can send in your artwork for us to add to our gallery. This may help your deviation gain more publicity and help you gain more publicity. To submit artwork, upload it to devianART.com and then send us a deviantNOTE with a link to your piece. But as with all things, there are a few rules.

As we are a gaming club, the picture has to be something to do with gaming. It can be fanart or your own character and game ideas. It just has to be something to do with gaming!

This is a simple guide explaining what you have to do to join ~dAGamers club on deviantART. Please note that if you are not a member of deviantART.com and you are reading this, you should be a member. The first step to joining ~dAGamers is adding the group to your deviantWATCH. If you do not know how to do this, we suggest you learn, otherwise you can't join.

Q: Why do I have to add ~dAGamers to my deviantWATCH?
A: The answer can be simple or complicated depending on which way you look at your possision in the club. If you just want to be a member then you will have to do this so that you get updates on what is happening in our group, chats, new projects and competitions coming up! If you are a member, and hope some day to become a staff member then you will have to look out for job oppertunities on the journal. Also, we allow members to submit artwork so you can view it. Adding us to your deviantWATCH will mean that you will get notified when we upload something new, so you get artwork from people who submit their art, and then they can get critique.

The second step is to send us a note, requesting to become a member of ~dAGamers. Just send us a note through deviantART to the ~dAGamers account requestion to join, and put "join" somewhere in the subject.

Q: Why do I have to send a note to ~dAGamers?
A: You need to send a note so that we know you actually want to join, and so we can monitor who is a member and whatnot. If you do not send a note, you will not be added to the members list!

[Promotion]
The third step us to let people know in some way that you are a member of ~dAGamers. All you have to do is mention us in your journal, and maybe put something in your signature.

Q: Why should I help promote ~dAGamers?
A: This is to help us gain more members. You may think "That isn't my job!", but if we didn't have any members advertising us, would you know about us? Also, if you get more people to join, that means more artwork uploaded, so it will be easier to find something you like! Your artwork may get noticed more aswell if there are more members, so it doesn't just help us, it helps you too!

That is all you have to do! But be warned, you must do both! We require these things to add you too our members list. Please do not send us a note, it is not required and is considered a waste of time!

Never remove ~dAGamers from your deviantWATCH. We do not get notified if this happens so you will not be removed from the members list and can end up being listed twice if you remove us then add us again. It takes too long to go through all of the members to check if they are still members.

1^st November 2005:- Hello, we're back! Again! I'm sorry it's just that I haven't had time to update the club, I'm very busy, so yeah... on with the show!

If you joined over the past week, don't worry, you have been added to the members list, which can be found here. We now have a good amount of members, btu not alot of contribution from members. I would really like to see more fanart being sent in! Send us your work! I'm not trying to steal your art, just promoting it, and we need some stuff guys!

Ok, I finally have my credit card, so now, I have to put money in my bank account, then setup paypal, again... It shouldn't be too hard, so the winner... should get a subscription very soon for 6 months! Also, I will have to arrange for ~pnub-x's prize to be done and dusted. It will be done!
Website
We have =artoxicated who is going to make a website for us, hopefully, but with a new website, comes responsibility. So, we need staff, and not just for the website. The wesite is a long time off yet, so I wouldn't be telling you we need staff at this time unless we did need staff, which we do. We will be holding interviews in the staffroom on saturday, a time is yet to be confirmed. You have the chance to be part of the staff here at ~dAGamers. We will need chatroom operators who will not let the power go to their heads. We also need people to help out with dAGamersTrivia and ~KickWars. Pop in on saturday to see if you have a chance. I will tell you what time to be there later in the week!
KickWars
~KickWars is doing great! ~infinity0 is doing a great job with the coding, and it is great fun when other people are there. ~infinity0 has managed to code a system where you can create teams, so, we may have battles between teams when we get the chance to organise it properly, but go and check it out, it is great so far!

16^th October 2005:- Ok, first off, sorry I wasn't in the chatroom last night, I went to the cinema with my family without warning, we saw Arsene Lupin, good film, but anyway. Back on topic.
I have counted the votes for the competition entries, and we have a definite winner, and someone in second place, well done to them both!
Drum roll please....

20^th September 2005:- Ok, recently notes were sent out to staff members of ~dAGamers and only recieved about two replies to the notes. The judges have also failed to vote on the competition entries as of yet. This means that we will be losing staff members that we feel are not needed, which will mean there will be spaces open for employment. After the competition results have been recieved there you will probably have the oppertunity to take part in an interview to become part of the ~dAGamers staff. One job you may have will involve being in the chatroom as often as possible, the other would involve our website, still under developement, made by =artoxicated. So thanks for reading, we will get the results ASAP

18^th September 2005:- As of today we officially have over 100 members!! Records show that ~KazeKageSakura was the 100^th member! Go give some love! And thanks to all of our current members, without you this wouldn't even be imaginable! So thanks guys, we have reached the second milestone, and this is just the begining, hopefully.

14^th September 2005:- *photofroggy has noticed that when adding new members we have had a few people who are already members remove us from their deviantWATCH and then add us again. This could end up with you being recorded as a member twice, which may cause confusion and will cause inconvenience. If you are going to remove us from your deviantWATCH and/or removed us accidently please send a note to the club informing us of this, as it will prevent you from being recorded as a member twice. 5^th September 2005:- Trivia is back again as we have a new bot! We have all the same features and questions as before but we do not yet have the hints available. The scores have been left blank so you will start with no score again! This a fresh start for our bot and our trivia channel. If you would like to add questions to trivia send a note to ~TwistedFish and they will be added ASAP!

3^rd September 2005:- Ok, you may have noticed that the club hasn't been updated as of late. This is because the staff have been on holiday. So, we are back online, members will be updated ASAP, but those of you who joined before september will not be put in this journal, but do not worry, you are most definitly a member! Everything else shall run as it once did before, hopefully.
The competition is now closed, so any entries recieved after this date will not be accepted! This also means that the judges will have to start judging right away. As the competition requires alot of writing for your entry, the judging will require alot of reading, so the judging will take a while. If you are a judge, please read the pieces in the gallery that are marked as competition entries and put a score out of ten as a comment at the entry. To check if you are a judge please check the staff list, if you know you are a member of staff, it is likely that you will recieve a not anyway.
The bot will probably be off for a while, so trivia will be off until further notice by journal, so make sure you keep checking back.

19^th August 2005: *photofroggy is going on holiday for two weeks so the bot will not be on, which means trivia will be off for two weeks. The bot cannot run without his computer switched on, and who would leave their computer running for two weeks? You know it makes sense. Task:-

You will have to write a story line for a game and also give a brief description of the main characters. You should include the following:

-What's happening?
-Where is it happening?
-Who are you?
-Why are you involved?
-What other characters are involved?
-Why are they involved?
-How are you going to get through the game?

Try your best to include all of these! You can draw pictures of characters if you like. Please do not steal other people's ideas.
