Today (or yesterday) marks a milestone. I now have surpassed 20,000 pages views. Quite an accomplishment seeing that I have not posted a photo in a few months. I need inspiration. It hasn't come.

I discovered today that my subscription expired. But I have resubscribed for another year and my * is back. I find it a little odd that the only way I learned of the expiration was because ads started appearing with subscription pleas below them. You'd think DA management would send me a note or an email warning me that my sub was about to expire. Or did they want me to see some of those ads and maybe click on them? I don't suppose I'll ever hear from management as to the reason. I'm just sayin'....

A Little About Me

I've been working in computers for years but made a drastic career move a couple of years ago. I have been attending law school and studying intellectual property law. I quit my full-time job in May and am finishing up in anticipation of taking the Bar Exam in February. I also teach law and ethics at a local nationally recognized university when I have the time. And I do some consulting for a variety of companies. Anything to pay the bills.

Why am I telling you this? Because next week I have off! It's time to get ready for finals. I have outlines to build for family law, employment law and administrative law. I do have to teach a class on Tuesday night but other than that, no work and no classes. I'll be sleeping in and relaxing a bit.

Here in the United States, Thanksgiving is this Thursday and on Friday I observe the official first day of the Christmas music season. Anything earlier is idiocy!

Canon Photography Class

Stopped by Cal's Camera about a month ago to buy a couple ND lenses for my Canon Digital Rebel XTi and saw a sign for a class for Rebel users. So I signed up. I've been looking forward to this class for weeks.

I knew there would be users from all skill levels and even some who didn't even own the camera. I suspected that we might get bogged down by "How do I turn the camera on?" questions. After a couple of those flew, the speaker kicked into gear and blew away the nubees and concentrated on those of us who might classify ourselves as intermediate users.

Wow! I took copious notes and can't wait to try out all the features on the camera that weren't explained well in the manual. I've also been shopping for lenses and flash attachments and that's bad!

My next goal is to find a photography club so I can learn more and travel to local wonders to capture the beauty to share with my friends and watchers on da.

Snowman Survey

1. Do you usually have snow where you live?
2. Have you ever gone skiing? Or sledding?
3. Have you ever made a snowman?

1. Never at my home but most years, there is snow an hour away in the mountains.
2. Yes and yes, but not for years. I have a sled in my garage!
3. Yes. When visiting the mountains. Maybe I should plan a January visit? But we're in the middle of a drought. There may be no snow except for the snow-makers at the ski resorts.

P.S. And I once made a snowman in Hawaii on top of Mt. Haleakala!
