Winter Break has been a huge breath of fresh air.

Yesterday, was my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend. :]

I went to Mountain High yesterday and went tubing. Then we went to Dave and Busters. It was awesome!

I went to Disneyland twice. I went a couple weeks ago for tradition and again later that weekend for my best friend's birthday. It was nice on the Thursday but Saturday was the busiest I had ever seen the park. Now my pass has expired and I wont be going again for a year or so.

I also went to see the Room again. Not as fun as the first time but still a lot of laughs. We had a Japanese dinner before the movie (Ramen at one restaurant then to another place for Sushi and Mochi).

Christmas went by fast. I spent Christmas Eve at my Uncle's. Heard a lot of hilarious family stories. Christmas was incredibly lazy. No gifts. My boyfriend and a couple other friends pitched in and got me a mini fridge for school though.

I got my grades and I was very disappointed with myself. I'll leave it at that.

Dad fell and broke a couple ribs. He hasn't been feeling too well on top of that. Guess its that time of year again.

Break will be slowing down now since I won't have much to do. Unfortunately, I'm still without internet so updates will be few and far between. At the moment, I'm mooching off of my boyfriend's internet and it will be the last time for the rest of break since he'll be going on vacation out of town for several weeks.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and that you're all doing well. I hope to hear from you all once I get internet again! Oh and Happy New Year!!

I just got through a few finals and I finally understand what it stands for:
F - Fuck

N - Never
A - Actually
L - Learned
S - Shit!

Thats not entirely true though. Although this semester sucked really bad, I feel like I've become a better artist. Maybe it will be evident in my work once I start posting again.

Unfortunately a lot of things went wrong over Thanksgiving Break (not to say it wasn't an awesome week). I don't have internet, tv, and phone. I can live without tv and I still can use my cell, but the internet is something I need in order to survive college… especially with group projects that required e-mail for communication and transferring of documents.

On top of internet being a bust, my scanner is out of commission. I updated my operating system only to find out that the drivers are not compatible. So I have to resort to photos. At least, I'll be using Photoshop more.

Thanksgiving was nice. I had dinner with the family and never got out of my PJs. Oh and I made pumpkin pie from scratch for the very first time! It was amazing. :]

The highlights of the week were Friday and Saturday. Friday was my boyfriend's 21st birthday. There is no way he is becoming a alcoholic after that night (thankfully!).

Saturday I saw an amazing movie that everyone must experience at least once before they die. Its called "The Room" and it involves audience participation similar to "Rocky Horror Picture Show." Here in LA, it is only shown on the last Saturday of every month at the Sunset 5 in Hollywood and it always sells out. I had the privilege to go with a close friend (and her close friends) and I loved every second of it. I left with the urge to throw plastic spoons. Please look up where it is showing near you. If there isn't a midnight showing at any nearby theaters, rent it (buy it! $6 on Amazon!), invite some friends, and use this [link] to know what to do (it'd be a good idea to see the movie once before doing audience participation at home, just to let the crappiness set in and get you in the mood to yell obscene things or commentate like science-fiction theater.)

I'll be on Winter Break soon and will be glad to have school behind me. I'm registered for Spring session and now all I need is a job. I've tried Universal but it was painfully clear that they aren't interested in employing me as they sent a rejection e-mail the day after I sent them my application. Guess I should've majored in greeting skills (i.e. "Hi! Welcome to Universal Studios Hollywood. How many people in your group? Row 1 please." etc… seriously)

I will be gone for a while again due to vacation and the possibility of work. I'll be gone the 27th-29th for vacation. I don't plan on being on the 21st, 24th, and 25th as well. If anything else comes up, I'll update.

I'm starting to respond again but not as frequently as I'd like. Despite school almost being over, I find that I'm still very busy. Feel free to leave a comment though or send a note if you'd like.

I decided to make the account so that this gallery wasn't "biased" to one fandom. I like to keep things diverse on this gallery.

Besides, I'd been meaning to post a comic and a bunch of sketchdumps and felt that it was necessary to have a gallery strictly dedicated to such work.

I know I said before that I didn't want to make this other account due to having it sit in the dust. I'm fairly confident that it will have sufficient work filling into it since I have a lot of 9 fanart to share.

PLEASE NOTE! That gallery contains OC fanart ONLY! I will no longer post 9 OC pieces here (with the exception of art trades that I owe). WARNING: This is a long journal. If you do not feel like reading my overview and review of Halloween Horror Nights, feel free to skip it.

I went to Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, October 23 for the Halloween Horror Nights… and I loved every second of it!

To sum up the whole event and night: it was amazing, beautiful, terrifying, and hilarious all at the same time.

I went two years ago when the theme was the "Carnival of Carnage." The mascot was a deranged clown named Jack who brought the worlds of Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), and Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) to life. I went through the Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze (a movie I never saw until after the event) and was absolutely terrified! We also did the Terror Tram (awesome!), Jurassic Park In the Dark (terrible disappointment; the last room had jack-o-lanterns everywhere… definitely not scary), and the Bill and Ted Halloween show (hilarious!!).

This year was a whole new ball game. The theme was "You'll Wish It Were Just A Movie" with the mascot of the Saw franchise, Jigsaw, leading the event. The minor mascots included Michael Myers of Halloween, Harry Warden of My Bloody Valentine, and Chucky of Child's Play.

Once again, I had never seen any of these films and had no idea what to expect. In my previous experiences I was absolutely terrified when confronted with mazes based on films I'd never seen. Would this year be the same? Let me tell you about it.

Let the Games Begin...

We stepped through the gates to a whole new world filled with thick fog and spinning saw blades projected on the ground. We started off the night by being greeted with a trio of pig-faced chainsaw-wielding minions. One member of our little group, Abby, didn't take too well to them. We then proceeded to the "Terror Tram: Live or Die" Studio Tour. This has always been my favorite thing to do. You board the tram, head towards the backlot, watch a message from Jigsaw's puppet, Billy, and get off of the tram and walk through a series of "haunted" movie sets. You start off at Whoville, walk through and around the Bates Motel, go up a long trail in the hills, come back down and through a mini maze with Michael Myers, move next to the Bates House, and finally make your way through the massive twisting wreckage of the War of the Worlds plane crash set before boarding back on the tram for a final message from Billy and determining your fate. This was the longest terror tram set they've ever had and its a huge improvement. The scariest part was going up the hill on a pitch black trail with speakers lined up all the way playing animal sounds that really sounded like a mountain lion would pounce out at any second. My favorite part was of course walking throughout the plane wreckage littered with zombies and dead bodies. It is the perfect use of the War of the Worlds set.

HOLY FREAKING HORSE HOOPERS BATMAN!!

Check out this collection of creepy, amazing, awesome, intense video footage of ghost sightings in Disneyland! Just in time for Halloween!

From least strange to the most bizarre!

Space Mountain "ghost partner": this ghost comes in from the left of the video and sits next to a single rider at the top of the video (the rider is wearing a brown shirt and is sitting in the front row of the car). It is a faint blue light that disappears as the train passes below the camera.

Tower of Terror "ghost rider": this ghost shows up in two different seats during the duration of the ride. One theory is that its a reflection of the maintenance worker because the ghost is holding a clipboard (a. the ghost isn't holding a clipboard, b. the maintenance worker is wearing a hat whereas the ghost isn't, and c. what can possibly be reflecting "holograms" of riders?) The ghost is seen at 0:27 (right behind the maintenance worker in a flash of light), again at 1:23 through 1:27 in the second seat in row 5 (left of the video), and finally in the same seat (second seat row 5) at 1:52.

Tower of Terror "sitting ghost": this ghost appears to be sitting outside of the doors that open for a picture. Then he vanishes!

Fireworks "watcher ghost": this ghost appears to be standing next to a tier above Sleeping Beauty Castle during the fireworks show. He appears at approximately 0:13 and again at 0:30 where he disappears at 0:37.

And finally, my personal favorite, the "wandering ghost" of the Haunted Mansion: perhaps the creepiest video with a full bodied apparition. Please, if you have a serious explanation for this one, I'd love to hear it! You absolutely can't miss seeing the walking light emerge out of the mansion, through the gate, along New Orleans Square, and running across the Rivers of America. There are even instances where the ghost is seen in two screens from different angles.

Now, I'm a huge believer of ghosts. You may think I'm crazy. I think that there are instances where the phenomenon is misconstrued due to media and hokey stories... but I believe that there really are spirits among us. I happen to live and go to school at a college that was once a mental hospital (the running joke here being CSUCI doesn't stand for Cal State University Channel Islands. It really stands for Cal State University Crazy Institute). Our campus is crawling with paranormal activity! My roommate has been possessed in the middle of the night, I've seen faint lights in the fog as it rolls across our quad, and I have visited the abandoned buildings that are being left undeveloped. After seeing these videos, I have become a pretty firm believer.

I feel better. Not completely. But definitely better.

I have ~Odjit-Banafrit and =Lily-pily to thank for giving me support here on dA. My boyfriend Stephen definitely helped me calm down at school. Playing KH 358/2 together after a heavy load of homework definitely helped me blow off a lot of steam.

~Odjit-Banafrit requested =TechnoRaverCall to make us each an icon with our respective stitchpunk ocs, 26 and 19. Now I've finally changed my icon. I loooooooove it!


=Lily-pily made a wonderful gift art for ~shadowcat9279 and myself of our stitchpunk ocs. she did a lovely job. I just love 19 in her style! You can find her gift-art by looking at her gallery or scrolling down to my features.

It seems like all of us here on dA are facing a bunch of hardship, feeling down, depressed, stressed, and flat out frustrated.

In regards to all the workload I have, I've managed to find the time this weekend to just sit down and do what needs to be done without feeling like I'm being rushed. I'll be going to see the Toy Story 3D double feature tomorrow night. I might put up my opinion of it if I feel up to it.

I started sculpting a soap dispenser for our bathroom. My dad asked me to since our old halloween themed soap dispenser broke. I'll post pictures once its painted.

I came home today to find out that our indoor halloween decorations have been put up during the week. WARNING: Extreme ranting to ensue...

Why can't professors just leave me aloooone?!?!

I'm so mixed up right now. I don't know whether to scream in anger or cry from sheer pressure.

I thought I was going to be able to have a nice weekend. But no. My life drawing professor threw a MIDTERM PROJECT on me thats due next Wednesday! WTF?! I know exactly whats going to happen too. I'm going to be up til 7:30 in the morning all over again, get only about 3 hours of sleep and not get any of my other work done. FML!!

This weekend I wanted to just do the drawings that I'm missing for that class, rp with ~Odjit-Banafrit and maybe =Lily-pily too, draw some personal stuff, maybe do a little halloween decorating, get some parts for my halloween costume with my mom, and go see toy story 3D... well, i'm still going to see toy story but everything else can be tossed out the window.

Honestly, its no wonder everyone here is getting sick. We're all too friggin stressed! D:<

On top of everything, my fellow classmates are kind of moronic with the exception of a select few. I honestly don't know how much more I can take. This place is killing me slowly in all directions. I'm being piled on with way too much work. I'm neck high in tuition debt. I can't find a job to pay off that debt. I don't have time to do the things I'd like to do while I'm here at school such as exercise and scan my art. Its just so frustrating.

Now excuse me... I'm going to go work on my powerpoint presentation, 5 page lab paper, 10 pages worth of detailed sketches... and then I'm going to lay on the floor and cry.

I just pulled an all nighter for a school project. I'll post pictures because it turned out so well. But…. I'm exhausted. To make matters worse, I only slept 3 hours before going to my tap dance class this morning. I'm going to collapse pretty soon but I felt like updating.

So this project was for my Physics of Art class. For those of you who haven't been to Disneyland, there is a flying Dumbo puppet that floats over the Sleeping Beauty Castle during the fireworks show. In order to make Dumbo pop out in the night sky, he has a pink head and a green body that becomes a grayish blue when a particular colored spotlight shines upon him.

(And I'm totally not afraid to admit it... That segment of the show makes me cry! )

My challenge was figuring out what color spotlight causes everyone's favorite flying baby pachyderm to change from green and pink to bue. Now, I actually came up with this idea on my own. The assignment specifically was that we had to find some kind of outlet, anything ranging from a museum to a gallery to a theme park, and choose one artistic element that exhibits scientific material related to what we learned so far in the class.

As soon as my professor said "theme park" I knew what I wanted to do. In fact, I had too many ideas on what I wanted to do. Luckily I narrowed it down because last night was nuts.

My dad and I stayed up till 7:30am. We made four LED spotlights in red, green, blue, and white. Then we crafted a dumbo model out of sculpey and mesh wire. He turned out adorable and perfect... until we put him into the oven to bake.

His head fell off, his ears snapped off, his trunk broke. Fortunately we were able to salvage him by inserting thick wires through his head, ears, and trunk. Then we sculpted over the cracks, holes, and other damages. He doesn't look as nice as when we first sculpted him, but I'm satisfied.

Considering this was my first time sculpting EVER, I was quite proud of myself. I'm actually considering doing commissions of sculptures (and drawings too of course!) But I had better get paypal first.

So now that I've told you about my little creation, I'm going to go lay on the floor. Good night...ish.

Turns out, I found a leak some time ago on our faucet in the kitchen sink but my mom thought nothing of it. It ended up becoming a big problem. The wood cabinets under our sink became warped due to a major leak that flooded water into the cabinets whenever the faucet was turned on. My parents found the bigger leak thanks to the mildewy smell.

As I walked in the house, my handicapped father was on the floor in the kitchen trying to fix the leak. He ripped out all of the wood and replaced it himself. At least we got a shiny, expensive, new faucet out of all of this.

BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!!

He tried fixing the rest of our water pipe system and as he tried fixing the pipes outside, they disintegrated right in his hands! So guess what that means boys and girls?! NO WATER AT ALL!

No shower, no sink, no toilet, no laundry!!!

I swear my house is trying to tell us something! Its falling apart! Theres no water, our backyard is all torn up... oh and my fan broke!! What else could go wrong?!

To top it all off, my boyfriend is staying the night here... for the first time. Which theres nothing wrong with that but I feel bad that the first time he stays here, theres no water. He's here though and he doesn't mind. I love that boy.

At least yesterday wasn't a total bust. We went to Santa Barbara for the day, ate at Marie Calendar's for lunch, window shopped, had ice cream at Coldstone's, checked out a Halloween Store (which by the way, I totally know what I'm going to be for Halloween! ), and ate at Acapulco's for Dinner. So I'm not too bitter.

On a better note, it's Talk Like a Pirate Day! Yay! Argh!

I saw 9 on the 11th and I'm sure its obvious that I loved it. I've been dying to see this movie since Christmas last year! And I wasn't disappointed. My only complaint... it was too short! D:<

I feel like we needed to SEE what happened before 9 was brought to life. So I'm considering making a webcomic based on all of the information found at this site -> [link]

I'm also considering doing a small fancomic with my oc in it. Of course, this means that I am being an incredibly over ambitious person considering I plan on doing this on top of all my school stuff.

I've recently started rping with =Lily-pily and ~Odjit-Banafrit and its so much fun, not to mention inspiring... its really getting my imagination going and makes me want to do a fancomic all the more!

I'm taking:
UNIV 110 (Critical Thinking) - The first 2 classes were very engaging but now I find myself singing Beatles tunes in my head while everyone else discusses business ethics and so on...
ART 107 (Life Drawing) - First day of actual instruction = nude woman model... second official day of instruction = nude man model... my brain could not compute until the naked man got up on the table. i honestly wasn't fazed by the woman but the guy... was hairy.
ART 105 (Drawing & Composition) - I got Reinman (*cough* ex-imagineer *cough*) for the third time (and it was completely unintentional). I actually like this class. I feel relaxed and can just let loose and draw which is nice. Plus I get to listen to music. Bonus points.
POLS 150 (Political Science) - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
PHYS 280 (Physics of Art) - Kind of a disappointment. But not entirely. Its not a bad class but I was expecting to do something more exciting than staring into lights to see rainbows. I really was hoping to throw paint at walls.

I also have new roomies. Definitely a new change in pace. They're all nice but I'm still getting used to the increase in volume.

In relation to art, updates will be few and far between. Requests after ~Guilrel's is completed will be officially closed through the fall. Please do not ask me for any requests. My plate is just way too full.

I'm going back to school in 3 weeks so that means that updates will more than likely be few and far between. The majority of my updates will mostly be from my art classes. I'm taking 3 art classes! Whoot! So exciting!

I might also be getting my wisdom teeth pulled within the next 3 weeks... hopefully. I'm really not looking forward to the pain. But at least it'll be over and done with and I won't have to deal with the pains that I get on and off right now.

Soooo, its been a while hasn't it?

I kind of went on a little hiatus due to college. I've been swamped with work, particularly in my illustration class. The drawings for that class aren't even done so the requestees left above are going to have to wait quite some time.

If you want to cancel your request, please note me but I am not taking anymore requests in one's place that has been dropped. I promise to complete requests as long as my requestees have the patience to wait.

On a lighter note, since I am back to updating, I will be working on these requests ASAP. I will be updating with completed illustrations from my class as well as some pieces on the side that I have been inspired to do.

Unfortunately, I have no way of posting footage of animation due to my lack of knowledge in how dA works with animation (especially animation that includes sound). Plus it is a personal piece. I don't mind sharing sketches and such for it. :]

Well, I'd love to hear what you all think about my upcoming projects. Hopefully, I'll be done with my priorities before the new semester and all my time will be devoted to illustration pieces for my class.

To those with requests, I know I've said it a dozen and one times already but I promise, the requests are top priority. They will come as soon as I can get them to a point I'm proud of.

But I had a very rough morning...

I came downstairs at around noon to get something to eat before I went out with a friend for the day. My dad was sitting on the couch as he has been for the last couple of months (he is severely disabled). Only difference in him this time was the look on his face.

My dad is a very strong person who hardly ever lets anyone see his pain. But today, he looked horribly upset.

I asked if he was hungry.

"hunuuh" was his response (sort of...)

I asked again, only I got closer to understand him.

"nu uuuuuhh" he mumbled a little more intelligibly.

I asked if he wanted something to drink.

"uuuuuuh" a minute goes by. "uuh huuh"

I got him water and made myself some pasta and sat beside him as I usually do.

Then things got scary...

He began to dry heave and instantly, I put my bowl down without taking a bite and ran to get him a bucket. If you think I'm going to get graphic, no worries, nothing came up. He just sounded in pain.

Through the panting, I rubbed his back and told him to slow his breathing down. He would try but went right back to practically hyperventilating. I got really worried then and considered calling 911. Instead I ran upstairs and told my little brother to call our mom who was at work.

My brother and I sat next to our dad and wiped away the sweat on his head with a moist towel.

He started shaking uncontrollably. His breathing was abnormally quick and uneven.

I got him to sit back and somehow that slowed down his breathing enough that he stopped shaking. I decided to go take a quick shower and had my brother watch him. When I got out he was gone. My mom had come home and taken him to the hospital.

My brother told me that dad kept saying not to call mom cause he didn't want her to know because he didn't want to go to the hospital.

He had also passed out and stopped breathing. He didn't respond to my brother calling his name.

He snapped awake after about half a minute though and asked if he'd fallen asleep.

By then, my mom had come home and told him she was taking him to the hospital.

"No." he said.

"You're going to the hospital." she said.

"Okay." he said.

He would never go to the hospital just from my mom's prompts. He was obviously in enough pain to know that he had to go to the hospital.

My mom called me after I was picked up by a friend to just get out of the house. She told me that my dad was diagnosed with acute acidosis (high acid pH in his body). His blood sugar was dangerously high (being a diabetic without medications) and his blood oxygen was dangerously low (hence the quick breathing). His organs were shutting down and if he stayed home for one more week, he would've died. The episode I witnessed of him was a diabetic seizure.

Now he's in CCU (critical care unit), behind locked doors and with no visitors so I won't be able to see him for a few days.

I wrote this because my prayers are with him even though I'm not a terribly religious person.

I don't generally write detailed journals about my personal life but I wanted to vent a little due to my fear for him and his health.

I wrote this in hopes that anyone who took the time to read this has a better appreciation for the family and health that they have.

Clearly I'm not popular enough with enough fans to do any works for money. Not only that but I don't have paypal. : P

I recently read a journal by the wonderful where she was talking about how she feels about "art theft". I agree with her 200%. Its a wonderful thing that she's doing for our dA community. I wished I had as high an honor as her to have people learn from my works. I am a huge fan of her and her works. Read her journal to see what I'm talking about in terms of the "art theft" issue. (It'd be too much to write)

But back on the subject of fans, I'm not worried. I love that I have anyone watching me at all and I'm sure that with time that devwatch list will grow. Gives me time to grow.

In relation to my last journal post, I've decided to do requests rather than commissions. Unless my fanbase explodes with people, I don't think I'll be doing commissions for a while. Requests. Free. Sounds nice doesn't it?

Just please don't take advantage of me!! :'(
I've heard too many horror stories of people getting swamped by people wanting requests and I have no time for being swamped or random people.

Quick tip: get to know the person you're requesting from before asking. It makes it more personal, friendly, and less awkward...

I am so happy!!

Thank you soooooo very much to my bf Stephen (and his family too!); my friends: Jose, Sami, Alex, Andy, Eddy, and Adam; and my loving family: mom, dad, and Mark.

Can you believe all these people made it possible to get me a tablet? Well they did and I am so thankful to them. My bf decided to get the tablet for me as a graduation present because he knew how much I loved art and wanted a tablet. As a result, he asked around for money to go towards getting me this wonderful gift.

I've already put it to good use.

I haven't drawn anything AT ALL this whole easter break with the exception of one drawing no longer in my possession

ok... so i drew a pic for my boyfriend cuz he was playing SSBB with his bro and they were playing as sonic and cap falcon on the last boss, tabuu. Since I couldn't play along with them, he requested that I drew them battling tabuu as sonic and cap falcon... and so I did.

I wanted to color it and put it on dA but unfortunately I forgot it at his house... haha

I'm getting rid of one character and making one more character's appearance shorter. These characters haven't been uploaded yet so you don't know who those characters are. So no biggy!

I am also changing the original storyline all together. The original story was too similar to SSB Melee. After actually playing SSB Brawl, I went with the Subspace Emissary Spoof instead as opposed to a classic mode adventure.

I've drawn up some new sketchy designs but I won't upload them until they're all finalized.

Okay so first off I'd like to say thanks to those who favorited, commented, and watched me. Means a lot to a dA newbie like me!

On a bad note, I'm not going to be on for about a week cuz my dad "suspended" me from the computer for a week. So unfortunately, I won't be updating this anytime soon.

But hey, on the upside, gives me more time to draw!

And on that note I'd like to add that I'm starting a SSBB comic. I'll be working on it during my "suspension" and will hopefully have at least 3 pages up for you all to see!
