I got 2 things to rant about.

#1: I had a phone, a rather old HTC Desire. I bought it used of course, and since I bought it for real cheap, it was without any papers. Turned out the phone had a defect, it went into a boot-loop when it overheated (which was easy to do, just start any video/game/CPU intensive app and wait 10 seconds). Well, that was ok with me, I just didn't do anything on it. So, I'm back in Latvia. Yes, I was in Netherlands, but not for a long while. Things there turned out......not too great. I got there with a job and a place to stay, but I got into an accident that left me injured quite bad. Bad enough that I couldn't work, so I got fired. I just wanted to update you guys on what's going on.

Firstly, as expected, I did not win the Fine Art America contest. While I did get to the final phase, none of my 3 photographies were chosen. The competition was tough and I think the 5 winners deserved it. They were beautiful and I don't think I can yet match up to their skill. But I thank you all who kept hoping and wished me luck : ) . At least I made it to finals thanks to everyone, and that makes me happy!

It was slightly changed, made worse. Then, I noticed that a lot of other deviants got their work stolen, like :iconvenomxbaby:, :iconvewolff: and :iconabsolutpe:.

Now I'm pretty sure that all of those photos in it are stolen. Yet the owner of the blog is claiming them as his or her own (when you right click on the page, it says: "Take your own pictures, and don't steal mine!"). I can't really tell if the owner is a really boyish girl or very girly guy. Dem hipsters, you know?

I see him as one of the most grossly underrated artists in DeviantART and I wish it wasn't so. Every artist should get some recognition for their work. Especially such aspiring artists as him.

Granted, I'm only a photographer and I don't know much about Traditional or Digital art, but that doesn't mean I don't know a good art when I see one.

Phew. Haven't had a journal entry in a quite a while now.

I'm still alive and breathing, still livin'. And still trying to get used to the Canon Rebel XS kit (1000D) that Gerry gifted to me. I don't think I can ever thank him enough.

Went to Netherlands for a week long visit to my sis. Was a rrreeeeaaaalllly nice trip there. Netherlands is so different from Latvia. Mostly the attitude is much different, more pleasant than here. I must say, the movie itself was surprisingly good. Before I watched it, I thought "oh, well, this is gonna be another boring docudrama about computers" but, oh boy, was I wrong. It's actually the most interesting docudrama I've ever seen.
The story too is something you wouldn't expect to have much excitement and drama to come from. I finally grew from a boy to a real man xD. It's really a good start in a new year.

Looking back in 2008. I must say, that many good and bad things happened. I had some fun times, but not so much as other years. I mean, I think I was more passive in 2008. than ever, in my life. Atleast, I stopped to be so lazy, and hopefully, this year will be more productive for me.

Recent happenings doesn’t show up to anything good. I have also met many kind of artists. Artists of diffrent kind and styles. And some time ago, I’ve found the artist in myself. When I was younger, art was something really blurry for me. I saw only one corner of what you would call, a multangular figure.

Now, I have met and am currently sketching on two of those sides. Music and Photography. I feel some kind of a beat in those things. A drum beat of a heartbeat. I really don’t know, but I can really say, that my life has changed since then.

A long time ago, in a galaxy club, far far away…..more like 1 month ago. So, about ~1 month ago my sisters jacket was stolen in a club called “Swamp”. It was kinda expensive jacket, so she decided to play dectective and look up on the thief. And what do you know, she found him O.O . He putted an Ad in biggest internet community here. Excatly 1 month passed between the stealing and the Ad. The thief didn’t know, whom he stole the jacket from, so my sister decided to pretend to be the buyer.
