Apparently I'm an expert at falling down the stairs.
No seriously, you should have seen the grace.

And in addition to sporting a goose egg on my forearm (from said experience), while I was at the beach this weekend I got upended in huge waves, smacked around in the surf, stung by random silicon-implant-like jellyfish, and tried learning to skim board (only to fall on my ass at least six times and bang my arm around some more).

I can't wait for my training session tomorrow. I am so sore, I feel content to just sit here and brawlllargghhehag;haweinvslhjghw.

I've had many people ask me how I learned to draw, or how I've developed such a crazy perspective. Well, I think if you buy these scribbles, you'll really come to understand where I get some of that. I've drawn with my sister for over 10 years, and together we've critiqued each other and sought out new and exciting ways to depict our ideas on paper.

In addition to paying attention to balance, my sister has studied animal anatomy across the kingdoms, and can build/piece together creatures that make sense anatomically (if not cognitively. I've never seen an anemone monster, but that is just AWESOME).

So go for it! I really think this is a good book to pick up tips and tricks from, even if its just studying the way the lines are drawn, the forms that are built, and the amount of detail and work put into the pictures.

And again, I want to thank everyone who has supported my sister in buying these books. It really is a blessing to have great friends and fans, and I hope all of you stick around because there's much more coming!

My interviews didn't do shit for me, because I found out that all of them pay at LEAST a dollar less than my last job. I'm a mother fucking college JUNIOR for christ's sake - I need (and I'm worth) more than fuckin' eight bucks an hour.

I love having my parents out, but there are some things that a parent and their child will never see eye to eye on. Recently, I finally devoted myself to allowing my hair to grow long, as I've had short hair for five years. In the process, I was letting it return to its natural color - so, a dishwater blonde with darker roots made for a "cheap blonde" effect (thanks mom). So I wasn't against getting dyed to my natural color, and then maybe having some lighter highlights - so we went to the salon. Three hours later, my hair is fucking twice as dark as its normal color (there's no fucking way this is my normal color) and I've almost got zebra stripes because the bleach was left in too long.
I hate it. I hate it with such a passion, I think I'm going to dye it for a third time once I get my hands on some hair color. I AM NOT A BRUNETTE. I was born a blonde, I've lived 20 years as a blonde, and in addittion to many other personal issues and relations, I feel confident as a blonde. My hair may have darkened in highschool, but that's why I've always lightened/highlighted.
The ONLY way I would get away with being brunette would be to have LONG hair like my sister, and curls. I have neither.

I have worked out ONCE all spring break. My gym membership was suspended because my grandparents didn't want to pay the montly membership while I was out of town for college (understandable). Weather has destroyed my running plans, as well as four pairs of socks because my blisters from new shoes keep ripping open.

I'm not attending my good friend's spring bash because of personal and family time issues. The only party during the break gets postponed. Classic.
SUCK.

Lo and behold, what drawings I have done are feeble. Weak. Poor quality. Most of them aren't even completed images. My computer is not available to me, as it is not a laptop and cannot traverse the many houses I've been living in during the break.

In addittion to the reduction of personal confidence in my image, I managed to fail my third..fucking...college algebra class.
FUCKER.
Seriously, is this not ridiculous. Three differen't universities, and the one time I do pass this class, the credit doesn't transfer. WONDERFUL.
I will be wasting another four hours of my life every week for eleven weeks studying the quantitative characteristics of functions and equations I ALREADY FUCKING KNOW AND DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT AND WILL NEVER USE.
This means a schedule change. This means, whatever classes are left at this point in time (seeing as how new classes start monday), I need to find ones that fit into a schedule.
Oh, and I also need to do another round of resume spamming in the town area to find a parttime job.

Consequentially, yesterday was the biggest breakdown I've had in over ten months. I don't know why it decided to hit me then, but it did. It's caring through and slowly fading, but I'm very unhappy and finding it hard to be positive about this new "look" that I've acquired.

And of course, everyone seems to think its fine, but it's not. It's a personal, internal battle, and I've stepped out of a comfort zone that I was finally beginning to be happy in.

Go me!
Because obviously these consequences are all related to poor decision choices.

Way to fucking suck.

1) If I were only ever to wear two categories of clothing for the rest of my life, they would be boots and jeans.
2) I (apparently) have an extremely dynamic personality - ups and downs and all over the place. But I categorize myself as an optimist, as I feel the need to surround myself with positive things and people (because who wants to be a sourpuss?)
3) I'm slow with my hobbies. I love art, but inspiration comes slowly, and production even slower. Only in those random spurts of subconscious purging does anything ever really pump itself out in a decent amount of time.
4) I love dried mangoes, but they are the devil's fruit. One bag of Phillipine's Natural Dried Mangoes has 800 carbs.
I can eat a bag a day.
5) I like guy hobbies. I love motorcycles, football (though I'm still not terribly keen on all the rules, I still love to watch), paintball/airsoft, I like cologne, I love working out like I'm on steriods (haha at least when I'm near a gym, otherwise good luck I'll probably be sleeping), I still can't do beer very well, but I don't mind it now and then.
6) For some reason I'm becoming more and more obsessed with designer labeled merchandise (woe to my nonexistant financial status).
7) I will live on the beach when I have my own appartment/condo. I will also be very rich, or be in the process of becoming very rich.
8) I am a powerwhore.

I'm currently working on somewhat of a title page for my Ichigo x Rukia comic/doujinshi freehand hybrid, seeing as how you're all a bunch of lucky bastards because I decided to post it and not sell it.

Which much anticipation (and overly suppressed fangirlism) I will begin posting in the next few days. The format is a two-page spread, read from left to right trendy english style -- only because I forgot to do it the other way around. It takes a few hours to complete each spread depending on the amount of detail needed in each panel (I ink and tone for those who seizure over my wiggily and wormy sketchy style). I hope to post at least two spreads per week, if not more given my work schedule. I've not been taking college classes this last quarter due to my accident/surgery, so I should be able to get a good portion of the comic done and posted before I haul my ass down to campus and start new/winter classes.
And there are alot of pages for a fan comic in this one.

That being said, I am also open for commissions. I am always prospective to the chance of art whoring for money. I realize that i have completed more fanart for friends on DA than comissions (just way too much fun). I love drawing other characters unrelated to my own because its a fresh approach to something completely new. And everyone loves a little treat every now and then.

I've been eating like a monster truck ravaging the gas pump. Cookies, graham crackers, ice cream, smoothies, fudge, halloween candy, cupcakes, diet sodas, meat and potatoes, cheese, YOU NAME IT.

And I've eaten it.

I'm swimming, but my body is so adjusted to positioning in the water that working out requires heavy training - that I won't get by myself and won't really find in a Masters group (though I swim anyways because I need to do SOMETHING and I don't want to hurt my stupid foot AGAIN).

I only tell you this, because the more I realize it, the better chance I may have on curbing my grazing nature towards more appropriate snacks - and the better it is for me to accept that for the moment, even though I can walk, I can't push the limits like I normally do.

God I can barely wait to start running again. -__-

So I found out why it's so hard to get on the internet. I finally cornered my uncle after snooping on the home computer and realizing that they don't have a wireless router.
WTF.
So I'm busting my ass trying to crack into the network when I wouldn't be able to get on it to begin with. EPIC FAIL!!! D8<
They already have comcast, so I think I talked them into getting the necessary wireless so that everyone doesn't have to feed off wireless scraps in the area (aka the neighbors - though if I knew that password it would be pretty sweet).

THAT'S why I can barely keep connection. Yeayeayea. No wonder.

I no longer have any cast of any kind for support - there is an ankle brace, but I really hardly use it. The scar is looking swell and movement is still somewhat hindered, so I've been managing my own physical therapy to get it back to its normal flexibility. It still aches, but that's a part of the healing.

Locale:
I am currently residing at my cousins' house on Bainbridge Island in Washington - I will be here to help my Aunt out with her shop for probably the next four to five weeks (as well as domestic relations - aka nanny, babysit, transport, cleaning/cooking). I have most of my art work, but I'm not too sure how much time I'll actually have to work on any of it. But I'll do something now and then! Maybe take pictures of my sketchbook and post those, since I don't have access to a scanner.

Surgery was a success ~ I am now bedridden for the next 48-72 hours, icing and elevating my ankle with a gamepro mechanism. I don't think I'll ever complain about not being able to sleep in late anymore.

The lower end of my fibula, as dictated in my previous journal, has a portion that is now separate from the base of the bone (lateral malleolus). The fracture is abnormal for typical ankle breaks because it was crushed from a perpendicular degree (in comparison to a lengthwise-break typically induced by the body's natural weight). My theory was correct in that the break was a result of being momentarily crunched by the bike as it bounced off the road (yay! 8D Awesome point for me).
Went to the WestSide Podiatry and got more x-rays, revealing that not only did I break it nicely, but there are one or two bone chunks floating around in there that if not removed, will undoubtedly cause me problems later on. Simply put, I'll be having surgery at some point or another in the next two weeks or so. Putting that aside as an unavoidable course of action, concern has also arisen about the connective tissue between my fibula and my tibia - if it's torn, it'll need to be connected.
So I went and got a cat scan (CT scan) of my ankle and such, and my next appointment with the foot doc is next Tuesday afternoon to go over new x-rays and surgery dates. And I may also need an MRI, cause different scans show different things.

I feel so awake. It's insane.

And I'd never thought I'd say it, but doing nothing is HARD. >_< I can't stop moving for very long unless I'm sleeping.

It's going to be a long 4-6 weeks.

Couldn't stay at my internship today, so I had grandma drive me there so I could at least show up with a good excuse not to (aka my splint and crutches). Somewhat of a sucker, considering I have a presentation next week for my internship class, and if I'm knocked out cold on drugs, I'm pretty much screwed. -__-***

I think. I can feel my toes a little more, and the color has faded a little - it's still quite bloated from the blood pooling, it just doesn't throb like it has the last few days. I hope it stays this way, discomfort-wise.
Heard from the doc today too ~ surgery next Wednesday around noon. I'll be hooked up to a small contraption post surgery that will run ice water and some other fluid (forgot the name) through my ankle so it doesn't explode from the swelling.
I just hope it's not a huge chunky thing, otherwise that would promote a number of difficulties to my already somewhat-restrained moving order.
Still, I can't say I'm really phazed by all of this. It's almost surreal.
And no, I'm not still going through shock. That lasted all of maybe a minute during the actual crash.

It is now 2:46 in the AM, and I am in severe skeletal pain. Apart from taking Vicodin at 10:30 last night, and two Ibuprofins about ten minutes ago, my heel is ON FREAKING FIRE.
Why my heel?
I have no idea.
All I know, is that it really, really, REALLY HURTS AND IT WON'T STOP.
Try dipping your heel in boiling wax, then sticking it with needles. Add a little numb tingling around the ankle area with a fresh coating of tender soreness. Strip away the swelling so that pain receptors can now fully realize the excruciating actuality that is YOUR BROKEN FOOT ARGHH.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think my bones were MOVING DOWN THERE.
WITHOUT MOTOR PERMISSION.

I have church in like, six hours. I'll be up in about four. Is it worth going back to sleep for another two?
