I'm sorry I haven't updated in such a long time. It's actually been due to the fact that I have been super busy and also because I hate to write journals when I haven't submitted any artwork in a while. Makes me feel all...Facebookie...

DARTHBISCUIT EXPLAINS THE NEWS:

I implore people who are living in the good old U.S. of A to PLEASE ignore TV news. It is no better than supermarket tabloids now and you can't trust it. It's all accusations, wild opinions (Which, BTW, any journalism teacher will tell you, opinions have no place in the press. Only fact.) and "pundits". (Pundit more or less means self proclaimed expert, by the way.) If you are concerned with the news then check the associated press or the National News service. (The former of which is available on the News Channel on your Nintendo Wii, BTW) These are truly unbiased reports simply becasue their survival doesn't depend on ratings. It's a known marketing fact that negativity and outrage will always get better ratings than level headed-ness and good news. Sadly enough.
In an effort to show what I mean, I will now explain three major news stories in good old plain biscuity english. Minus the fear mongering and yelling! Then we'll get to some reviews! Yay.

1) Health Care Reform.

What you see on TV: Old, beady eyed men with loose jowels and big mouths screaming about socialism and death panels while at a town hall meeting. Commercials talking about congress' fast sell and the new $300 billion in heathcare taxes.

The realness.
As someone who works in the healthcare business, I can tell you that it is screwed up. In the late 80's and the 90's the gov., in an effort to steamline healthcare, passed a law saying that medical facilities had to contract with one equipment/drug provider. This means that once the contract is inked, the provider can charge whatever they want. Hence the hospital charges you $40 for a bedpan and $29 for a Tylenol. One of the goals is to reopen medical facilitys ability to shop around. Meaning no more having to pay one company $50 for an insulin syringe when this other company might sell it for $7. Meaning competition drives prices down. The other goal is to make a government run insurance company that, while lacking the freedom of private providers, will be MUCH cheaper, or even free if youre eligible! This will drive down insurance costs, (Which are HEAVILY padded) and let the 78% of us under 30's (Most of us on DA) who are uninsured be able to afford it. If your'e happy with your provider, you can keep it. And your insurance premiums will go down! The 300 billion dollars in taxes is technically accurate, but that's over a ten year period, and we pay private insurers 18 times more than that! Oh, and the old men who you see at the "grassroots" rallys and town hall meetings?, Flamers employed by Insurace companies. (Most of the time, sometimes it's just a random crazy) It's not even a secret! They sponsor the rallies! Oh, and for the people who say the Gov. can't handle health care: Medicare and Medicaid have a frikkin 96% satisfation rate! Thats actually quite staggering.

The Swine Flu.

What you hear: It is an epidemic! thousands are dieing! Gaaaaaaahhhh!

The realness:

The swine flu has broken out before. It is just a slightly LESS volatile version of the flu. Thats right. Less. The "Swine flu epidemic" has killed around 300 people in North America so far. The regular flu kills 10,000 annually. Every year the media feels it needs to scare it's viewers with a new pandemic. Last year it was MRSA. (You already have it. It's so common it's in everybodys system already. If you are already sick, and stay that way for a prolonged period of time, then it can cause trouble. It's such a weak disease that a healthy body can fight it off without ill effect pretty much indefinately.) The year before that, SARS. (A bad chest cold, us Americans call it.) Before that, the Bird flu. It started with the incredible ratings Mad Cow Disease coverage earned on CNN (BTW, you can really only get THAT if you eat your cow brains raw...) now they have to have something new every year. Next year it'll probably be Chinese Whooping cough or something... Wash your hands, Cook your food and you'll be fine. (Gabe from Penny Arcade survived, didn't he!)

Stimulus Plan.

What you hear: Barack's ruined us! Our children will be paying for this forever! It's a waste of money to be spent on greedy polititians personal projects! Why don't they just close down the crooked banks?

The realness:

You actually don't hear much about the stimulus plan anymore. Why? Because it's working. And good news, as I have stated, is boring. It was supposed to create 13 million new jobs. Experts say it will probably create 30 million. It was supposed to start paying for itself in four years. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

I admit that I thought this movie would be BAD. I really did. I usually only pay attenntion to the critics if they ALL hate something. I mean if 300 or so people hate something it's probably not good, right? Well, I went to see it annnnnd it was frikkin GOOD! Better than the first one anyway! I mean the story was good but what made the movie was the (koff, kof) GIANT FRIKKIN ROBOT FIGHTS!!!! WOOT! While it did have some problems, (Plot holes, Ball jokes) It was a really entertaining film!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

If all movie series had the track record of the HP series then wouldn't going to the movies be a lot more fun? I mean you can pretty much count on them being good. Unlike Shrek 3 or X-men 3 which both turned out to be big, steamy piles of crap. It's a fantastic movie! It somehow manages to be both lighter and darker than previous entries in the series and is easily the best one since The Prisoner of Azakaban. Can't wait for The Deathly Hallows! (part 1 and 2!)

10) Lupin the Third. A simple red (or green!) sport coat and black slacks, along with his lanky build and awesome side-burns come together to make him one of the most iconic characters in anime history!

9) Vash the stampede. Red leather duster? Check. Little round sunglasses? Check. Lots and lots of buckles? check. Big Fugging Gun? Oh, hell yes check. in an anime full of awesome looking characters, he was the awesome lookingest.

8) Straw Hat Luffy. Once again, in a world of absolute insanity, Simplicity stands out. Luffy's rubbery movements and simple red vest with cut off shorts represent Luffy's carefree attitude perfectly. And leave ample room for flowing bad-assery at fight time!

7) Edward Elric. Ah, the white gloves. The white gloves that serve the duel purpose of hiding Ed's shame and complimenting his powerful red coat. On the back of which is the a modfied caduceus, the symbol of medicine, science and alchemy.

6) Soul Reapers. I can't choose a single soul reaper because they all essentially wear the same thing. But I have to include them for three reasons: One: The way Kubo makes every one unique depite being uniform is nothing short of brilliant. Two: Their all black design and flowing quality makes it a perfect medium for showing movement in action scenes. and Three: If I failed to include it this guy, would kill me. In my sleep. With spider poison.

My favorite show.
The last episode of Scrubs featuring the original cast (So the last episode period as far as I'm concerned) aired wednesday night. It was both silly and sad as most episodes of Scrubs were. But what made it one of the greatest farewell episodes in TV history had to be J.D.'s final walk down the hall and the subsequent prolouge to the show, featuring scenes from the cast future. This rough and tumble ol' country boy may have cried a little bit. In honor of Scrubs, I shall name all my paragraphs as if they were Scrubs episodes.

My Monitor.
People who watch me may have noticed that I have not downloaded as many Deviations as usual in the last week or two. This is because my lovely little cat (25 pound walking hairball) Fuzzy Britches knocked a can of Dr. Pepper into my monitor. Ack. I can still see everything all right, but the colors are screwy and the image is slightly skewed so Digital paint is pretty much out 'til I can get a new monitor. Please be patient with me!

My Face.

The other day I asked my brother to hand me the broom and he did. Like a Javelin. I ended up with a 2" gash on my face and a broken cheekbone. Yikes. Anyway, It's healing well and on the brightside I'll have a pirate scar! Yay. I guess.

My Inner Tubes.

You may not know it by looking at me but I'm an avid Bicylist. Fries VA is home to one of the best trails in the country after all. But, unfortunately when I got my Bike out of storage to go riding for the first time this spring, I had a flat. well, I went to Wal- FuggingUseless-Mart to get a replacment but even though they still sell the bike I have there, the Mongoose paver, they don't sell the required 28"x1.75" tubes. Argh. So i called the nearest Bike shop and they said to look online. It turns out 28"x1.75" tubes are standard in the U.K. but not sold over here. WTF? I had to order my tubes from a bike shop in Britain. Tubes: $4.00 each. With shipping: $33.00. Gah. Oh well. worth it to get out on that trail again I suppose.

My Console.

Anybody who has a Wii should take a look at the upcoming line up. OMG. Silent Hill. Klonoa. Dead Space, Extraction, Resident Evil: Darkside Cronicles, The Conduit, Muramasa, Arc Rise: Fantasia, Fragile. Punch Out, Etc. Etc. And it's not even E3 yet! I am a happy Wiimote wagglin' Biscuit!

Star Trek:

Go see Star Trek. Now. I'll wait...

Good wasn't it? It's an awesome movie with lots of goodies for the Old School Trekkie (Me, admittedly) and lots of action and humor for the Star Wars crowd! Plus it's already made like a bazilion dollars, So it's pretty much saved the trekkie's future! One tiny complaint: Sulu's switch-katana was kinda dumb. The other 206 minutes and 30 seconds of the movie? Joygasm.

I downloaded this with a great amount of anticipation. I need to learn not to get my hopes up.

What am I talking about? Heres a synopsis: [SPOILERS! who cares?]

Konoha is attacked by flying ninja's. Even though they are destroying pretty much everything, nobody does much about it but stare at 'em, (And honestly, Chouji coulda took these dorks out.)
During the crisis, Naruto, who is at least wanting to fight the enemy meets an old man who is treating victim's. (In all fairness, the old man does explain why it's not a good idea to attack the sky-nins. If your a cat.) He helps a victim to the hospital where he meets the prerequisite annoying naruto movie extra. This little shemale is sinnoh's (the old guy Naruto met) pupil and her village is under attack. Naruto, Sakura and Hinata go to help while Shikamaru, Sai, Kakashi and Shino pursue the enemy. When they find the enemy, Shikamaru's plan apparently goes like this. "Sai. Go kill them. Kakashi stand around looking bored."

The 'Biscuit is distressed...

If you've ever read all the Info and fluff on my page then you know my favorite band is the Barenaked Ladies. Well, recently Bnl defacto frontman and lead song writer Steven Page left the group. This of course makes me worry about the future of the band. I mean, yes I know his voice is pretty much interchangable with Co-lead Ed Robertson's and I know that Ed is just as talented a song writer, but Steven was the "fat, nerdy guy"! I just liked knowing that the platinum selling band I was listening too was fronted by a guy who was just as fat and just as nerdy as I am. Oh well. Here's Hoping that the Next BNL record (due out later this year) is still just as awesome as always,(The drummer is still fat and nerdy, after all!) and Best of luck to Steven Page. (With any luck, He'll be successful and I'll have more to listen too!)

Now for my other favorite band, The "Gorillaz".

I understand that this "4 member" Cartoon band is actually a conglomeration of several dozen musicians, But the band mainly hinges on the efforts of creators Jamie Hewlitt and Damon Albarn. It's been 4 years since "Demon Days" and still No new Album.
"But Biscuit," you say, "Each member has their own lives to deal with!" Not so, actually, Hewlitt and Albarn are actually mucking about broadway and the documentary scene with vaguely Gorillaz-ish projects and showing off an amazing talent for Pretentiousness.
As a fan, I, Darthbiscuit80, implore you, Quit screwing with us and give us something awesome to listen too! I mean, Come on! Your "groundbreaking" Website hasn't even been updated in two years! Yes, your success has allowed you to try the things you've always wanted to do, but try to remember the fans who gave you that success!

FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood!
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
FMAB, (as it shall henceforth be called due to my inherent laziness) Is a new take on the franchise based more closely on the Manga, Which is more upbeat than the first anime series but still just as awesome! The tone, the animation, the music, and the design are all awesome and if this initial impression is worth anything then FMAB is gonna be an awesome ride! (I said awesome three times right there. Awesome!)

The legend of Zelda: Spirit tracks:
A sequel to the very cool Phantom Hourglass. Only very early info has been released, but Toon Link + Trains = Coolio Beans. I mean Hyrule and rail travel just seem to fit together like hand and glove or Peanut butter and chocolate. (Unlike DC vs Mortal Kombat which fit together like Tongue and Butt, meaning just because two things will fit together, doesn't mean they should fit together...)

Naruto vs Pain:

Wasn't this whole fight just a joy to read? It seemed like every chapter had something to Squee over. Naruto's wiping out of the first five Pain's, Hinata's confession, the gruesome 8 tails Kyuubi, Yondaime's suprise appearance, and finally Naruto's final assault on tendou Pain! I can't wait for the next chapter! (Literally, I've already checked Mangahelper's for spoilers like ten times today!)

Bleach:

Hollow Ichigo. Is anyone else a little put off by Ichigo becoming a monster AGAIN? I know he'll gain control of it and master it in time to fight the next enemy, but you just KNOW this'll lead to more brooding... Still, It does look pretty cool...

Also, I can't wait for this Arc to end just because I wanna see the answer to the mystery of Ichigo's father (I think he was the former Kenpachi, personally) and also I wanna see the Visoreds some more. Plus I want Ichigo to reconcile with Tatsuke and his other friends.
Plus, I wanna see what excuse Kubo will use to make Grimmjow a good guy. (Shonen Law #34: Really Cool bad guys like Hiei, Vegeta,Sesshomaru and Gaara ALWAYS become good guys!)

One Piece:

Mr. 2 Bon Clay, newest member of the strawhat pirates? We can only hope! Plus, this book is crawling with trannies right now. and Only Oda can make them seem BAD ASS. Go Luffy! Save Ace! Whoooo!

Last night I went to see Watchmen with a fairly high measure of anxiousness that I'm sure many other WM fans felt. Was it good? well to find out lets check the:

Biscuit Movie Review!!! Watchmen:

Wows. It was good. and I am so thankful for that. Now don't get me wrong. Watchmen was designed by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons as a showcase for the comic medium, and as such, Watchmen will never be as good a Movie than a comic. But let me tell ya, Did ol' Zack Snyder ever give it the old college try! There are scenes in this movie that are literal live action translations of the comic pages. All the characters are perfectly acted, especially Jackie Earle Haley as Rorshach, and the ending to the movie is arguably better than the original! (I know I'll get guff for that but the Giant space squid always seemed out of place to me...)

In fact, my main problem with the film was actually the audience. A large group of disgruntled rednecks left right after the Ozymondias reveal loudly complaining that, "That was F**king stupid! The Bad guys won!" Really? Geez.

You see, I was worried that the film might not be so great because the critics have been so mixed about it. Even though I understand that some of them are completely out of touch with the source material. Like Richard Knight of the Windy city times who said, " The movie's not so subtle homoerotic content will draw in gay viewers as it did Snyder's 300 but 163 minutes is an awfully long time to expect a lone blue cock to remain entertaining -- especially one that never gets hard." or hilariously, " Incoherent, overblown, and grimy with misogyny, Watchmen marks the final demolition of the comic strip, and it leaves you wondering: where did the comedy go?
" Anthony Lane: the New Yorker. Really? Comedy? Go watch Garfield or something.

But when you read the reviews by the Nerd community you hear things like: Better than the Godfather, and The dark Knight already has lost it's crown.
I personally fall into the latter group.

Show me One Watchmen fan who didn't get the shivers when Roshach, whilst in prison Screams, "...I'm not locked in here with all of you! You're all locked in here with me!" and I'll show you somebody who hasn't really read the book.

Back to W.O.G. This is a Wiiware game that is basically a very stylistic physics sim. But the graphics and the music are just mesmorizing. I'll take style over gray and brown FPS realism. And I So want to buy the soundtrack to listen to after work. It would chill out Bill O'reilly on crack, it would. Makes me wonder what other Downloadable games could hold me over until the next Zelda game comes out...

Now for the Biscuit movie review:

"Hulk VS"
My word, where did this come from?!? I saw a mention of it in Wizard and a teaser on the Iron Man DVD, but I didn't pay much attention to it. (All of marvels animated movies up until this have kinda.... sucked. Especially when compared to DC's efforts) Still, I saw it on the shelf at Wally-World and it was $13.00, so I thought, "Hmmmmm, looks violent!" and bought it. IT. IS. AWESOME. First, it's not one movie, it's two approximately 40 min. films dealing with the force of nature that is the Hulk. The first one is Hulk VS Wolverine. A couple of points: 1) This should have been called, "WOLVERINE! (featuring the Hulk as a really cool plot device). 2) That's fine. This is, Bar-None, the best animated Wolverine story ever. 3) The animation could give some high end animes a run for their money. 4) Deadpool. "I shot yooouuuu! " Perfect. 5) My brother, the esteemed Pajama Ninja, pointed out that the animators must have been frustrated with the limits of violence they had placed on them for "Wolverine and the X-men" (Also Biscuit approved BTW) Because there is a LOT of violence. At one point Hulk squishes Wolverine into the ground. Crushing his chest cavity and skull in the process. In another scene Wolverine slices Deadpool's arm off. OFF. (Don't worry, he gets better). 6) Best point of all. Wolverines voice? Steven Blum. Yep. The voice of Zabuza, Spike Speigel, Solid Snake, And Master Chief doing the voice he was made for. The film opens with Wolverine in a crater. He sits up. Pops a dislocated shoulder into place, and say's, "What the Hell happened?" Perfect.

The we have the Testosterone fueled blugeonfest that is Hulk vs Thor:
While not as memorable as HVW it is every bit as good. The animation, the voice work, and the story are all excellent. Plus it serves as an excellent jumping on point for those unfamilier with Thor and the other denizens of Asgard. Plus to be honest, the story is better in this one than in HVW. Still, if I had to pick favorites, well, just look at the size of my descriptions!

Biscuit review: Buy it. Now.

Movies I'm looking forward too:
Coraline: It's a movie with designs by Tim Burton, Directed by Henry Selick (Who directed "The Nightmare before Christmas") based on a novel by Neil-freakin-Gaiman! If it's not good, I'll die of shock.

Watchmen: WHo watches the Watchmen? Me! I hope this movie is half as good as it's source material. They did actually use comic pages as storyboards soooooo, here's hoping...

9: Another Tim Burton production. This looks like a cross between Little Big Planet, Pinnochio, and a Meth addicts nightmare... Watch the trailer. Seriously. Here it is: [link]

1) Freecreditreport.com: The one where he sings that he'd "...be a happy bachalor with a dog and a yard" if he'd known his fiance had bad credit. That's a real good message there. "It doesn't matter how much you're in love, if she's ever missed a JCPenny payment, dump the bitch.

2) The Adidas commercial. The one where everybody is at a party. Everybody is dressed the same. And everybody is doing the same thing. Slogan at the end? "Celebrate originality". I hate the whole "Douchebag/ individuality through conformity thing" The toyota Scion ad is also guilty of this, but it's not quite as bad, so this one wins.

3) Special K: Let me see, a woman has just finished icing a giant cake and wants to lick the bowl. Time stops. Announcer guy says "[don't lick that bowl idiot! Biscuit News: New Years resolution: Only two pieces of Naruto fanart a month. I love Naruto, but it's giving me artist block.

Street Fighter 4! I can't wait for this game! A new SF is the only thing I anticipate as much as a new Zelda, and it looks A.w.e.s.o.m.e. It's reflected in this weeks art submitions.

Art block. I've been working on a portrait of my friends daughter and I just can't get it right. This has, in turn, leeched my confidence so I couldn't draw anything. I'm starting to get to a place I like. so this has helped me quite a bit. Still, I've got a bad case of Everything I draw sucks-itis".

And last, but certainly least, I work in a nursing home. To keep census up so they don't have to lay anyone off they're not screening residents. Meaning we are getting all sorts of uncontrollable (actual) lunatics. Keeping this knowledge in mind, I have decided to name my eventual autobiography: "How to remain cheerful while being murdered by the elderly."

I am very happy that Obama won! I am! I know I'll get called a "Sheeple" by some, but I think he may be the answer to a lot of the problems America faces right now. Know why?

Spark of Genius.

What that term means is, like, when somebody comes up with an elegant solution to a common problem, like a cure or an invention, and it is so simple and foolproof in it's execution that you think to yourself after a good slap in the forehead, "Why didn't I think of that?"
ALL of Obama's Idea's have that Spark. Just clear and simple in execution, yet still. absolutely. brilliant.

Also, I like him because of his motivation's.

Healthcare? his mother died of cancer while he was trying to get the senate vote. She could have easily been saved if not for the insurance companies blind refusal to pay for treatment for what they considered a Pre-exsisting condition.
Obama knows that he could have paid for the treatment, but his Mom, not wanting to get in the way of his career, did not tell him she was sick. Obama has said that his greatest regret is not being there to hold his mother's hand when she died.

Economy? (Spreading the wealth, as it were.)

when he was a child, Obama's mother was trying to get a degree in anthropology. She took Obama with her to Indionesia to study. For 4 years Obama lived in a hut with a dirt floor and a ditch for a bathroom. When he wasn't studying, he worked to help buy food. He has seen the absolute worst conditions the world has to offer and wants to do something about it. So, being a self-made rich man, he wants to give back. And speaking of which:

Education?
Obama did not grow up wealthy. He went to Harvard by working for it. He has worked since he was a child. Almost relentlessly. It was nightmarish what he had to go through, soooooooooo....
Obama wants to institute a free college education for anybody who wants one. Seriously, how great would it be if somebody like me could get an education to better my life with out having to spend all the money I need to... um... live.. on it. The Biscuit will get college! And not just me, but, education equals jobs, Jobs equal economic strength, Economic Strength equals no Poverty.

But all that aside, what really made me choose Obama was his campaign. Sure he had his fair share of Negative ads, but they NEVER disparaged McCain's family or his character. Only his policy. For example, McCain has called Obama a "Terrorist sympathizer", (Bill Ayers, founder of the weather underground. Blew stuff up. Made a concerted effort NOT to hurt anybody in the process. Nominated for 2 Nobel peace prizes. Only knows Obama because Reagan put them on the same education board once, and then Ten years later Ayers Emceed (his JOB now, BTW) Obama's meet the candidate function.) #1 HATE: McCain ads. Yes, I know Obama has them too, but McCain's are down right nasty. The clutching at straws of a desperate man, I guess...

#2 LOVE: New One Piece dub. Thank you Funimation for saving this terrific series. I will pay whatever you charge.

#3 HATE: Cable News. Negative content has been proven to get higher ratings. When CNN was the only news channel there was as much good as bad news stories broadcast. Now there are several, so we have to hear about everything negative. From the economy, (Which is important) to Paris Hilton's latest venereal disease (Which ISN"T). Plus it caused an influx of excessively negative people.

#4 HATE: Excessively Negative People. I hate hearing about how much worse things are than they used to be. Seriously. Did you know that violent crime is down 300% since '93? THREE HUNDRED PERCENT! Cable news doesn't want you too know that. When my Grandparents were young, back in those perfect, "ideal" 50's, a lynching was a social event! I have an old picture of a couple in North Carolina, 1948, slow dancing in front of a black FAMILY hanging from a tree.(A man, a woman, and three CHILDREN) They're crime? Trespassing. The air is cleaner now than it was in 1978. Did you know that? How about during the 70's fuel crisis, if you account for inflation, gas costed $6.00+ a gallon? Alzheimers is within 2 years of a cure, as is parkinson's, MS, Gravis, Meningitis, and a myriad of other diseases! (Well, as soon as we have a president who doesn't think Stem cells are baby killin' devil worship and therefore HAS to be VETOED) I am considered to be in the lowest earning percentage of Americans, yet here I am in my Air Cond. house, talking to you over my Broadband connection, while my realatively new car serves as a hiding place for the Playstation 3 I got my bro for Christmas, and digital cable with 600 frikkin channels plays in the background. Don't get me wrong, I think the country is really screwed up right now and things need to CHANGE, (ahem) But I think we'll be alright.

5# LOVE: All you people who listen to me rant and don't call National Security.

Naruto: Of course. The anime and Manga are really good right now, it really makes a 'biscuit feel warm and fuzzy inside. Plus they really nailed Hidan and Kakuzu! I'm so proud of them!

Metallica: Death Magnetic proves that they are still the gods of metal. Whoot.

One Piece: Like Naruto, both the anime and manga are on a roll right now, although Oda has sent us on kind of a worrisome route( I hope the crew finds each other soon!) Also, the Amazon woman trying to pull Luffy's wang-dang-doodle off, (She thought it was a mushroom) and proclaiming, "...It stretches!"? Priceless. Can't wait 'til gets hold of that...


Bleach: One more episode of (Japanese)filler left! Yay! Who, like me would rather just have a 6 month hiatus from the anime than have to endure filler? Seriously, it would double the animation budget for the canon stuff and save the series from the severe loss of interest they suffer while in fillers! Who's with me on this?


Morbito: Where the hell did this come from? It's awesome!


John McCain ads: Gawd, they're dirty pool, inaccurate, EVERYWHERE (Nickelodeon? C'mon!), and always end with a picture of J.M. looking to the heavens while bathed in an etheral light... Reason #134 I'm voting Obama...


T. Boone. Pickins: I love this crazy old man! It's nice to see a rich guy who cares! I'm actually checking into converting tha 'Biscuit-mobile to run on natural gas! (It's cheap, abundant, burns up almost completely, and is found almost exclusively in the U.S.! Neat!) Also, to convert a Kia Spectra? $700! Thats actually not bad! (Natural gas cost the equivalent of $0.50 to $1.50 a gallon! It would pay for itself in months!)


Harry Potter 6 moved to next july: This is crap. WB thinks that if they move HP6 to July 09, then they'll make more money due to lack of competition! And they don't think the backlash will hurt them? Morons. The movie is completely finished by the way, and insiders say, really frikkin good. Arrgh. I've been signing every petition I can find on the matter, (And there are quite a few) but I don't know if it'll help...

Kittens: I love kittens. I'm confident enough in my masculinity to say so. But, right now, I have 6 kittens and, though they are all just adorable, I can't keep 'em. I think I've found good homes for 'em but I'm still gonna miss my fuzzy little posse...

I like to visit colorful fantasy worlds where jumping on small, woodland creatures illicits free money. I don't need to turn on my tv and see the bland browns and grays of realism. (And next gen developers LOOOOVE their brown and gray post-apocalyptic FPS's, I tells ya'...) I want some color in my fantasy worlds! This is where the Wii shines. Check out Super Mario Galaxy! It's just as pretty as anything on the X-Broken 360! And you are immersed in this world of wild color and skewed gravity that makes you forget all about your mundane existance!
A lot of you are thinking, "But most of the first gen Wii fare is total, shovelware, CRAP! and you're probably right... In fact, most of the early stuff is European PS2 ports! But there is a reason! The industry thought the Wii Would FAIL! It takes about three years to make a fantastic game. The developers seen Nintendo's underpowered, oddly controlled little system and thought, "Thats gonna suck. Lets make X-Bawks/PS3 games." Then debut time came and POW, Nintendo Wii is the hottest thing since Elmo! The developer's all got busy making games for the Wii, (And some of the stuff coming out looks absolutely incredible) And Nintendo was left to try and fill that temporary void. There has been plenty of great Nintendo developed Games out there, Like Smash Bros., Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, etc, but it wasn't enough so the big N said, "Lets gain third party support with open standards to allow indie developers to show us some real innovation and get things moving!" Unfortunately, this also opened the door for ca$h hungry hacks to port every crappie Ps2 game and flash game they could to try and make a buck. But, guess what. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEM! Also, there is just as much licensed/shovelware crap on the PS3. Trust me, if you're a Dora the Explorer fan with a Sony, you're all set. And speaking of the PS3..
Why my Wii is mad at me:
I'm gonna get a PS3. Why? Because of a few killer apps in the pipeline. Namely MGS4, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Soul Caliber 4, and Street Fighter 4. (Which is eventually coming for the Wii, but I'm impatient...) Also, Blue-Ray, even though I'm sure BR players will be cheaper than a meal at Applebee's soon enough. The reason I know it's mad at me? I was on IGN.Com looking at footage for "The Conduit" for the Wii, (Frikkin' awesome, btw..) When I glanced over at my Wii, (To make sure it wasn't looking, LOL) and seen it's friendly little blue light. Then I clicked on the PS3 section of IGN and watched some amazing Naruto footage. When I looked at my Wii again, THE LIGHT WAS RED. Normally this means that power to the system was lost, but I never had an outage so I know it's mad at me now. And I am afraid of waking up to find a Nunchuck wire wrapped around my neck...

Never has they're been a more popular Manga. Or a more disputed one. Lately I've been reading a lot of comments on how It's gotten to weird, unrecognizable, and "Batshit awful".
I DO NOT agree with these comments in the least! and I'll tell you why:
I have been reading Manga for longer than a lot of Deviants have been ALIVE. It is consistantly entertaining and never, ever mundane. You can't say that for YuYu Hakusho, Slam Dunk, or even DragonBall Z! (Toriyama, Kishimoto's hero, has admitted to getting writers block and just releasing chapters full of posing!)
It always tries new things! In the latest chapter Karin was revealed to be a healer, which one person's journal I read immediately dismissed as, "How Original, A Kunoichi thats a healer...". Did you not notice how, in order to get healed by Karin, You have to BITE HER AND SUCK THE FRIKKIN CHAKRA OUT!?!?! I've never seen THAT before... Then, the same journal goes on to complain about how she...um...obviously enjoyed it... I wanna know HOW exactly that is out of character for Karin, the voraciously horny fan-girl? Hmmmmmm?
Also, enough with the "stereotype" accusations with Eight Tails. He's not Rapping, He's a POET (Not a very good one, but a poet none the less). In fact, assuming he's "rapping" because he's black (I think...) kind of makes the accusers the racist ones, dontcha know...

A lot of the Naruto Negativity began when Deidara fought Sasuke. Deidara, who is almost as popular as Jesus on the internet, lost to a main character. People seemed to be suprised by this because, according to most doujinshi and fan fiction, Deidara was supposed to kill 'Sasgay' and then resurect Sasori, marry him, and turn Naruto into a Yaoi. Naruto is a SHONEN! The good guys win and the bad guys die! Or turn good if they're popular enough!(right Gaara?) Deidara would not have been a sensible good guy! Don't get me wrong, I liked Dei. But he had no real backstory other than a short flashback to when Itachi kicked his ass. Otherwise he was just an effeminate, explosion addicted psycho with to many mouths on his body! (Which, by the way, is a lot weirder than Karin the "reverse Vampire".) People got angry when Deidara died and started complaining. But here is the Kicker: Kishimoto listens. And that may be the mans biggest weakness.
Part two started and the fans said, "We want to see how Naruto and company have grown!" And Kishi said, "okay" and wrote the first arc, Where Naruto is (gasp!) capable and Sakura is (double gasp!!) useful! The the readers said, "Wait, Naruto isn't as interesting when he's in control!" So came the second arc, where Naruto loses control and BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF OROCHIMARU. Then the fans whined, "Enough of Naruto, we want secondary characters!!" And Kishi sighed, "Okay." and released the Shikamaru/ Zombie Twins arc. Then, Again the fanboys/girls called out to Kishi, "It's called Naruto! Why isn't he in it?" So Naruto came in and Rasenganed Kakuzu to death. With this the ever un-impressable fans said, "Hurumph! So Naruto comes in and Rasengans the bad guy to death! How unoriginal!" (Which is a real comment I read and UNFAIR since he hardly ever uses Rasengan in the manga, just every five minutes in the anime filler. Not Kishimoto's fault!)So then Kishi said," Okay, Here is Sasuke closeure! Does that make you happy?" Fans: "No! We hate him now" Kishi: "Gaaah!" and so on and so forth.

I'm almost done with my rant, but I want to back myself up somewhat. So here is a list of the cool things that have happen just SINCE Deidara's death that should have made the fanboys/girls happy but didn't 'cause they only want ninja sex:

1) Tsunade names Kakashi as the next Hokage as well as admitting Naruto is up for the job!
2) Tobi is revealed to be the real Akatsuki leader and a total bad-ass!
3) Jiraiya VS Pein: Not my favorite part in the manga, (I loved pervy sage!) But an awesome fight with Earth shattering reprucusions for the Leaf. Plus Naruto has to live with the fact that while he was out playing "find the Sasuke" His master got killed.
4) Konan: A paper manipulator who think she's god's angel. Yeah. THATS been done before.
5) Sasuke vs Itachi: What? You thought Sasuke would lose? One of the best fights in manga. Plus, Kusanagi met up with Susuano. In Japanese lore you can't have one without the other!
6) "Sorry Sasuke, There won't be a next time..." One of the most tear-jerking moments in Naruto occurs when Sasuke finds out that, as strong as he's gotten, it was for all of the wrong reasons.
7) Sasuke finds out from "Madara" that Itachi, though ill, still LET SASUKE WIN.
8) Sasuke: "I will destroy the leaf." Our little Emo-Beaver's head is so twisted by this point that you don't know what he'll do. Which brings me to Kishi's greatest acheivment:

First: The Dark Knight. Good Lord. Get that man a cough drop! Still, this is easily the best comic movie evar. Hell, it might be one of the best movies ever.
second: Avatar finale! OMG. The people who made this could give actual anime makers lessons! It was great! Coherent storyline? check! Tied up loose ends? Check! Action? OH heck yes, Check!

Third: Naruto. It has been quite awesome lately! How many people had that full body shiver when Sasuke showed up in AN AKATSUKI ROBE!!!!! Got to give it to Tobi, he certainly knows how F**K with a ninjah's head!

fourth: One Piece. This has been the most awesome thing ever lately! It's now got a Kung Fu fighting pirate bear named Bepo. You can't beat that with a hammer.

fifth: Top ten movies of the last ten years. They were recently compiled by rotten Tomatos and 7 of them were Pixar. Hell yes. Go animation!

Sixth: Speaking of movies. Hasn't it been the most kickass movie season ever? I mean, Ironman, Wall-E, Hellboy 2, Bleach, Wanted, Speed Racer, Indiana Jones, hulk, and of course, THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!! I is a happy biscuit!

Seventh: My birthday. I'm 28 now. I is an old biscuit...

Eight: Work, I hate my job. Now my work load has been doubled. But not my pay. I is an overworked biscuit.

ninth: E3, I am still a Nintendo fanboy, but I was NOT impressed with that E3 presentation. I understand that they have a lot of cool games in production that were not ready to show, but I wanted ZELDAAAAAAAAA!

First; My Dad has been in the I.C.U. for a week and a half with severe heart problems. I've been taking care of the house and things while he's gone as well as All the stuff I usually do. He's home now and already back at work, (!) but the aftermath is we have went full health food crazy here now. A welcome change!
Second; TERMITES!!! AAAAARRRRGH! I came into my house about a week ago only to find my floor covered with literally Millions of dead insects! I thought I was being cursed with some kind of biblical plague! But it seems an old dividing wall in my very old house wasn't properly flashed (Lined with thin metal) when the house was built. The termites ate it. I killed them. But still, damn creepy...
Third; Broken Rib. I was hauling an old cook stove to sell for scrap steel when it fell of the hand truck and onto me! Ouch. I've broken all of my ribs at one point or the other, but you don't exactly get used to it....
fourth; Turmoil at the workplace. The people I work for are doubling the size of the hall I work and cutting the help in half! Gahh! Soooo, I'm taking a new job as a mental health technician at the local psych ward. That's not a joke.

Anyway, thats what I've been wrapped up doing. I'll try to upload something before Wednesday and I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch!

Now for THE BISCUIT MOVIE REVIEW!

1) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:
100% pure awesome! Just the right amount of camp and Kickassedness! People who complain about it's lack of realism have gotten out of touch with the Whole Indy vibe. If you like Indiana Jones, you will like this movie!

2) IronMan: Even Awesomer than Indy! It was freaking incredible! The best marvel movie since Spidey 2! This film is a pure Fanboy Joygasm.

3) Speed Racer: Didn't get to see it... It went out of theaters to darn fast. But after reading what critics had to say, I think I'd like it rather a lot. You see, All the things the critics didn't like, I.E. The Colors, Fights, Comedy, Action, Formulaic nature, are things that make anime ANIME.

Listy Time!

Top Five Superhero Movies!

1) Spider-Man 2. This is just the perfect comic movie. It captures the spirit of Spidey and Comics as a whole perfectly. Plus, the Doc Ock/Spidey fight? Untoppable.

2)Iron Man. Admittedly, I didn't have high hopes for this. But Robert Downey Jr. Nailed Tony Stark and the action was just great! Oscar worthy.

3) X2. Yeah, Poor old Cyclops got the shaft again, but this is the thinking mans comic movie. And Wolverines Berserker rage in the mansion was just awesome. Plus, Naked Rebecca Romain Stamos! Woot!

4) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. The best Batman movie. Sure some argue that 'Begins' is better, But, "Buzz Bronsky. Your angel of death awaits!" Clenches the victory!

5) Hellboy: Blood and Iron. The Live action movie was great, but this nailed it. Hellz yes.

Top five UNDER-RATED superhero movies:

1) Daredevil. A critical success, actually, but the fanboy's had a fit because Ol' Hornhead let the rapist in the opening sequence die. Oddly enough, the perfect explanation for this came from a movie the fanboys hailed as a masterpiece: "Batman Begins": "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you!" Plus The performances were all spot on. It's a shame that the follow-up "Electra" sucked and killed any chance for a sequel...

2) X-3: The Last Stand: It's Not perfect, but it was still a great movie. The biggest problem being Ratner's unfamiliarity with the X-Men Lore. If he knew who Calisto and Psylocke were, he wouldn't have made them into forgettable canon fodder. Plus, the Spiny Guys attempts to be useful were hilarious. Still, Good action, good message, and a lot of neat mutanty stuff made for a very good movie! (Sucks what happened to Cyclops though...)

3) Spider-Man 3: A lot of soul, a lot of drama, A lot of the campy, stuck in 1966 goodness Raimi's known for, so why did it not become as beloved as SM? TOO MANY VILLIANS! The classic threequel killer. It happened with Batman, Superman, and the X-men! Fans Demand All these villians and the producers listen to them! Top Tip: Never Listen to Fanboys. We don't know What we want.

4) The Phantom: I love this Movie. Don't ask me why, I just DO.

5) Hulk: Gamma Poodle. 'Nuff Said.

One Piece.... Wow, look at all these new guys just perfect for throwing down with Luffy. Plus I like their design's! (And as we know, Oda saves his cool design's for important characters!) Plus, I like Jewlrey Bonnies pose. I'm quite male after all...

Hikaru No Go... As some of you know, it's no longer published in the US version of Shonen Jump. Um.. sSo out of spite I kinda read the rest on line... Not to give anything away, but that had to be the most anti-climactic ending ever. Oh well, maybe when I find the "Summer Special it'll wrap things up a bit.

The most redneck thing I have ever seen:
The other night I was at the local convience store to buy an Ice cream cone and a little cream soda when I noticed some commotion at the garage next door. A bunch of derelects in lawn chairs were watching a trapped bat slowly get fried by an ancient bug-zapper. Yes, A bat in a bug zapper. As I looked for the plug, I heard a scientifically knowledgable, yet still ignorant redneck say, "You see, the trick is that it's enough voltage to keep the bat trapped, but not enough to outright kill it, so we have to wait for it to have a heart attack, or die of exaustion! Ah-Heeee!" About then I located the afformentioned plug and pulled it. They all took a minute to register what had happened, then looked at me. I am a pretty big guy, but I'm no match for a bushel of angry retards so I thought I was gonna get my arse kicked, if you will. But then the bat got OUT of the bug zapper... They noticed this and one of them yelled, (I kid you not) "Look out!!! Them Thangs carry AIDS!!!!" And they all ran for it back to their respective pick-up trucks and four-wheelers (Ideal for people who wanna ride a motorcycle, but can't maintain balance! Whee!) And left me standing there. It involved cruelty, ignorance, lawn-chairs, and a bug-zapper. It was the quintessential redneck moment. I'm moving to Seattle...

1) Bleach Ep. 166. Holy loose cat fur batman! This was the most awesome thing I've seen since Naruto: Shippuuden 26! (That was the Sasori/Sakura beatdown if you don't know) This is like twelve chapters worth of Manga transformed into 22 mins of Kick Butt! Even if this leads to Don Kanoji filler at some point it was totally worth it!

2) Mike Weiringo died?!? When the heck did this happen? For those who don't know, 'ringo' was an incredible Manga style artist who drew for marvel and DC. One of my personal heroes, I was wondering what happened to him when I seen a memorial article in this months Wizard magazine! Gah! You will be greatly missed Ringo.

3) Top Gear. This is the funniest show on TV. Plus it's just plain amazing! It's like what if the Monty Python crew tested cars? Plus they do all these challenges on the show that will blow your mind, like driving to the south pole in a toyota Hylux (Thats a tundra to us westerners) Plus they are just hilarious. Like this statement, "These Honda outboards add nearly 500 pounds to the craft! Thats almost a WHOLE American!"

4) Justice League: the New Frontier. The most awesome DC animated movie yet. And thats saying something! I can't wait for the upcoming Batman Anime! (Yes, you read that correctly, proceed the pants wetting.)

5) Naruto Manga. Last page of last weeks chapter Tobi takes his mask off. No Naruto manga for two weeks. This must be what torture feels like.

6) Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I've done everything but beat Boss Battles on intense. It's driving me crazy!!! I'll get almost to Tabuu and "Boom" a boss one hit kills me with a pre-animation less move. Usually Duon. Arrrgh. It's so frustrating I could die!!!Anybody got any tricks I can use?

7) IronMan trailers. I can't wait for this freaking movie! And the Incredible Hulk. And the Dark Knight. And Wall-E. It's gonna be a great movie tear, I can FEEL it!

8) Mario Kart Wii. It's the game I'm pining for now. Buuuuuut it comes out on my nieces birthday so I'm gonna buy her something instead. Wait for me mario kart! Wait for Meeeeeeeeeee!

9)Shippuden Filler. I'm actually looking forward to this filler arc! I mean, I've READ the manga so it'll be something new! Just, please don't screw it up, anime people!

10) Bleach: Memories of Nobody. Coming to theaters this Summer! Wha-Hoo!

Ten fave Disney movies: (Excluding Pixar, 'cuz they ALL rock.)

10) The Great Mouse Detective. Why? Because it is a kick ass anthro-reinterpretation of the Sherlock Holmes Stories. With Great visuals and Mind dropping animation. (don't believe me? Go Watch it, I'll wait) Plus, it features a dumb, over affectionate dog named...TOBI! HA!

9) Hercules. Sure this stylistic take on the Greek Gods plays 'WTF' with the story of Herc, but it is just plain awesome! The fights! The monster! The coolest cartoon Satan ever! (Hades, gotta love him?) Plus the design is just. freakin. awesome.

8) Tarzan. Action packed, violent, touching, and funny, this is the closest to anime in design that Disney ever got in my opinion. Plus the scene where Tarzan's adopted mother finds his slaughtered human parents is just gut wrenching. Plus, Clayton= The most Brutal Disney death scene EVER. A good watch even if you hate Phil Collins.

7) The Emporer's New Groove. David Spade's funniest Movie. Period. Plus gave millions of pervert's the phrase, "Bad Llama!"

6) Sleeping Beauty. If you are an Anime historian, you know why. This movie is single handedly responsible for Anime and Manga's style! Many japanese creators, including Osama Tezuka seen this movie, with it character's large eyes, slender builds, and blade like noses and drew inspiration from it, changing the face of cartooning in Japan forever! (Comics were much more realistic, pre-sleeping beauty) Plus, it's a great film!

5) Lilo and Stitch. This movie features the most unlikely hero's of any Disney film and it is Great. Just. Freakin. Great. Plus it's infinitely rewatchable. Just great.

4) The Little Mermaid. This movie has, Perhaps the best villain of any disney film. Ursula Makes deals with young Ariel to exchange her voice for legs in order to win her true love. Then she procedes to USE said voice to try and Steal Ariel's true love! Whatta Beotch. Well, at least she gets impaled for her trouble.

3) Mulan. Highly underated. Amazing visuals, amazing story, strong message, violence, penis humor, this film has it all! A lot of American critics criticized it for messing with the old chinese legend. But what they don't tell you is the chinese loved the darn thing! (Plus, if you have the DVD, listen to the chinese voice track. Who is that playing Mulan's Captain? None other than Jackie Chan himself! Neato!)

2) Beauty and the Beast. This is the Movie that made it Okay for adults to like Disney. It's just an awesome movie that doesn't pander to anyone. there is a reason it was the first (and last) animated movie to ever be nominated for a best picture Oscar!) Now for my personal fave...

1) Aladdin! Action! Drama! Amazing Music! Robin Williams even more hyper than usual! Princess Jasmines casual wear! Smart-ass monkeys! Jafar! Background visuals that are only exceeded by Spirited away! (Miyazaki acknowledges this) UNLIMITED COSMIC POWER! itty bitty living space... Plus it holds the distinction of the fact that EVERY VISUAL ELEMENT IN THIS MOVIE IS JUST ABOUT PERFECT!!! Example: When Aladdin slumps after the sissy prince tells him he has fleas the animators had each individual finger move on his hand in a little depressed motion. Each tassle on carpet is individually animated! The movement of Rah-Jah the tiger's muscles under his skin affect the shape of his stripes! This is a movie you can tell was a labor of love fro the people who made it. And it is the reason I watch animation now.

Honorable Mentions:
The Lion King: and excellent movie, but a unrepentant knock off of Kimba: the white lion (Which was created by Osama Tezuka! What goes around, comes around.)

Atlantis and Treasure Planet: Neither was very well recieved, but I think they were ahead of there time is all. Go back and watch them now in this great age of anime and you'll be pleasently suprised at their quality! 1) People who are obsessed with money. (Like my boss for example...)
2) Comment haters. If you can't say something nice, Don't say nuthin at all. (At least make it Constructive Criticism, for Pete's sake...)
3)TV News. Why do I hate TV News? Hmmmmm, think about this, Things are improving greatly in Iraq. What? You didn't know? Well, that's because the Media believes "Good News = Bad ratings" I hate how they glamourize negativity.
4)Gossip Magazines. Britney Spear's crotch is not news. These stupid things thrive on misery, addiction, and divorce, so naturally they fuel it to stay in business. Would retarded little hollywood starlets (Whom I sympathize with, because if you're raised by Hollywood sleaze, then your gonna become Hollywood sleaze. They really can't help it.) act like they do WITHOUT the attention and publicity it provides them with?
5) My High School Mascot. A Blue Devil. I've got nothing against my alma Mater, That guy just creeps me out...( Come on people, Think about what your Mascot was, I bet it wasn't no Rasberry colored Emissary from Hell! Unless you went to Duke, that is. But their's is less creepy than ours. He was sleazy lookin' )
6)People who say, "Things were Sooo much better and safer in the [insert bygone decade here]: I'm actually proud of our generation! We have finally evolved to the point that we think the enviroment is important, Education isn't a privilage, and Skin color doesn't really matter so much. My Dad is always saying, "Gas wasn't so expensive in the seventies!" Well, there was a fuel crisis then too and if you adjust for inflation, gas costed $6 a gallon! Think about it, Gas was $2 dollars a gallon when wages were only $4 an hour! Thats 8 gallons of gas for 4 hours of work! In a standard 70's gas hog, That ain't much!
7)People who hate on One Piece only after seeing the 4-kids entertainment edit/dub. Watch the japanese version! One of the best anime's Ever! (The new funimation dub ain't bad, either!)
8)The fact that I have to pay more for clothes because I'm 6'3". I know there is more material involved, but it still sucks.
9) People who call Bush stupid. He's not stupid, he is Evil! When his term ends he will cash in his oil stocks (Which, legally he cannot do while in office) At this point he stands to get $30 Billion!!! Think about it. Why does the situation in the middle east effect oil prices so much? Because we depend on their oil? NO! We get 95% of our oil from Alaska, Texas, and California! It effects them so bad because He allows it to! It's pure and simple un-punished price gouging! And it will go un-punished until Nov. 2008! That doesn't sound like the actions of a stupid man to me...
10) Excessively Negative people with nothing better to do but make lists about all the stuff they hate.

6)Video Games. But only the ones that make me feel like I've entered a new and Fantastic world, Like Zelda, Or Mario Galaxy.
7)Smart People. I like to have conversations that DON'T involve the phrase, "Git 'er Done" once in a while.
8) Pixar Movies. The only people who can currently hold a candle to Miyazaki! (F*** Shrek!)

Most shocking Anime/Manga deaths

1. Mayes Hughes. Did anybody not cry when Mayes was murdered by Envy? Gawd, I bout choked to death on the shock. The most painful thing about it is the fact that it took so long for Ed and Al to find out.

2. Kamina. I just...just didn't see this coming at all. Yikes.

3. Spike Speigel. The last episode of Cowboy Bebop. Yep, the end of an era. (It's disputed whether he is actually dead or not. I hope he ain't, though he looked pretty dang dead to me.)

4, Riku. From blood plus. Earlier in the episode he is talking about getting stronger then all of a sudden, Diva RAPES and KILLS him! One of the biggest WTF moments in anime.

5. Sarutobi Asuma. Hidan Killed him and Shikamaru became badass, vengeful. Still his final words are some of the saddest in manga.

6. The Merry Go. Yes, not technically a death, but Merry was every bit a Straw Hat pirate. RIP.

7. Miss Deep (Nancy) in R.O.D. She chooses to die with her lover. Very sad. I felt the need to boo hoo.

8. Nicolas D Wolfwood. He was the coolest character in trigun (Barring Vash himself) His death at the hand of his old trainer and Vashes Subsequent discovery of it are some of the saddest moments in anime.

9. Charles and Ray. Eureka 7. Not so much for there characters but for the profound effect that there death has on Renton and through him the rest of the Gekkostate.

10. L. arguably the coolest character in Death note, I was truly sad when Light won and L died, the last thing he ever saw being Lights smirking face mouthing the words, "I win" Light is a sleaze.

Note: I did not include Deidara because his death was neither unexpected nor regreted. Yes, I know you fangirls loved him cause he was "smexy", but he lacked any kind of depth whatsoever. He was just a psycho who hated the sharingan an blew stuff up. The only thing interesting about him was his relationship with Tobi, whom he was more than willing to sacrifice.

Bad guys who went good.

In Anime/Manga, especially shonen, there is a tradition that if a bad guy is cool enough he will become good. These are my top ten:

1. Hiei/Kurama. Two of Yusuke's first adversaries turned out not to be that bad after all. And then took over the Manga popularity polls with No. 1 and 2 spots every time!

2. Gaara. What can I say. People love a tortured soul and his design was just so spot on to go with it that he took off! Plus there is just something wrong with a murdering psycho with the word "love" tatooed on his forehead!

3. Vegeta. There are OVER 9,000!!! reasons why he rules.

4. Viral. Simon's mortal enemy in the first half of the series turns out not to be so bad after he learns the truth about mankind. Plus the public loves pointy teeth.

5. Seishomaru. Yeah he never really proclaimed him self to be a good guy, but you know Rin's presence softened him up quite a bit!

6. Ren Tao. Shaman king's persistant little prick of a bad guy was judged cool enough to become one of the good guys, and rightly so.

7. Um...Soul society? They were the baddies in the first arc of Bleach, but quickly realized who the real villians are. Kenpachi's just to evil to be bad.

8. Solomon. Diva's Chavalier falls in love with Saya and deserts. Kinda feminine but still frikkin cool.

9. Dominic and Anenome. I waited from the time they first appeared on Eureka 7 for them to get together and defect. I just wasn't expecting the entire military to defect with them...

10. Prince Zuko. It ain't happened yet, but it's coming.

The girl in front of me was about 300 lbs with cut of jeans, a tube top, and a tinkerbell tramp stamp. The man behind me was wearing a sleeveless work shirt proclaiming his name a "fred" which was strange considering his name turned out to be Larry! They were two of the most well dressed people there!

Then the cell phones started ringing...

A cell would ring and the baliff would take it, (Usually by force from the ear of the apparently illiterate user) and the judge would get pissed cause he had to wait. One woman had to be charged with contempt and sent to holding! ("Nunh-uh! You ain't taking MY blackberry! I gotta take dis call! It ain't a cell phone! It a blackberry, stooopid!) Finally the judge called a recess for everyone to put there phones in thier cars. 10 had rang.
After the recess we got seated and, almost instantly, a cell phone rang. Gawd, people are stupid.

Then the hearings started. People were so rude to the judge that I felt embarrassed! Talking back and Making stupid excuses like, "I couldn't give my license to the officer cuz it was suspended!" and " I had to drive drunk, Otherwise Ida had to leave my car in the handicap space!" I wish I was joking.
Finally, my turn came. I went to the front, stated my case, refered to the judge as "your Honour" and not "Baldy" or "Nigga", and waited for my result. The judge sentence me to driving school because the law required him to, but waived all fees and fines because of the fact that I acted like I had "some Gawdamn sense!" Take that rednecks!!!

1) DC animated. This one encompasses all from Batman the animated series too Justice League Unlimited. Amazing, Stylized art. Real drama, The best writing on TV. Period. If you haven't kept up with these shows you owe it to yourself to get the DVDs!
2) Avatar: The last Airbender. My god this show is beautiful! Lush art, Real martial arts, Great Character Design's and a great story! Yes it's on Nickelodeon, but, you don't get a fan following rivaling Naruto's by being crappy!
3)Oban: Star Racers. Who missed this little Gem? Sure it only came on toon Disney, but this French attempt at anime was Just, Freakin amazing! Great story, emotion, and animation all put together with a OS by Yoko Kanno no-less! I want DVDS!!!
4)The Iron Giant. Amazing. All that can be said is Amazing.
5) The Incredibles. I had a tough time picking One Pixar movie but Violets hair sold it. Plus the way my chest jumps involuntarily every time I see Helen (Elastigirl) POP open into a parachute.
6)The Hunchback of Notre Dame`. A disney cartoon with Violence, Murder, Religious Corruption, and Lust? Hell yes. If you can find it, get it.

1) I just saw naruto shippuuden 31 and I have to say I liked it! It was well animated and paced! Some people didn't like it cause there was no action, or they are impatient for Tobi (Koff, Koff) But I thought it was beautifully done. Plus I like the new intro and out.

2) I just saw the latest two Bleach eps and, What the Crap? The animation has dropped to Naruto filler episode level on these! I hope it gets better soon... Plus the new outro sucks.

3) Just saw Episode 8 of Tengen Toppen Gurren Lagann... (spoiler) Kamina!! Nooooooo! Now that was a shocker! I haven't been so shocked since Mays Hughes died in FMA...

4) The new One Peice dub... Still awesome. Even if they did have to edit zolo and Luffy's beat down at the hands of Bellamy. Still, I was worried that they would cut the part where Bellamy's first mate tries to BUY Nami, but they didn't. And her new voice actress sooo nailed the scene. The Biscuit is pleased.

5) I've had little time for drawing lately. If I owe you something, please be patient... And forgive me for my forced ineptitude.

I bet an extremely small percentage of you are wondering why I've been so slow to post lately. Well, the truth is I have virtually no free time to draw this time of year! I'm always runnin' somewhere! For example: Last week I put 700 miles on my car! Gaaah! I've only got 2 hours of free time a day at best, (And not all at once, either.) But I'm working on a lot of stuff right now such as:

Other DB news:
I watched the One Piece Movies 7&8 this week. One piece 7 was Ok, kinda boring tho. The villains were no match for the straw hats at all.
One piece 8, A retelling of the Alabasta arc, Was complete crap though. This upsets the hell outta me cause it is the first OP movie thats gonna come out over here Uncut with the new voice cast. I've seen Amateurs do a better job cutting arcs down into amvs than this. Plus it cuts out some of the best parts! If you love One Piece, Your best bets still One piece the Movie 4! It's not only the best One Piece movie, but it's one of the best Anime movies ever made!

I'm a big fan of the animated DC universe and was therefore thrilled when Superman Doomsday showed up on my Wal-mart shelf. It is AWESOME... but not perfect. Why oh why couldn't they just keep The voices for the main characters that we know and love? Trust me Dana Delaney is a much better Lois Lane than Anne Frikkin' Heche will ever be. Plus, give us Tim Daly, Or even George Newbern as Superman! Adam Baldwin can't act, much less voice act! Still, The animation was awesome, the script was awesome, and the violence was... Satisfying, to say the least. So far the only bad DC comics animated movie is "Brainac Attacks"! WB, Lets keep it that way! Can't wait for The new Darwyn Cooke style JLA movie! Looks neat!

7:30 am- Make my da some coffe and pack his lunch. go back to bed for two hours.
9:30 Get up. Feed dogs. Clean shack.
12:30- Go pick up my mother (who is currently living with my grandmother because she is sick.) And take her to work. 70 mile round trip.
3:00 Run errands. Pay bills.
4:30 Pick bro up from band practice. Go home.
5:00 Take nap.
7:00 Fix dinner for my family. Do laundry. Try to get Pajama ninja (My bro) to wash the dishes, his one and only chore.
9:00 wash the dishes.
10:30 Leave to pick mother up from work and take her home.
2:00 arrive home. Get on internet. This is Darthbiscuit time!
3:30 Dad gets home. Fix him sme dinner and wash his uniform. (He's pretty wiped by this time because he's being forced to work overtime like crazy! )
4:30 Go to bed

This continues on until the weekend when I have to work. So they all go stay at grandma's house.

For anyone wondering why a 27 year old man is still living at home, this is why! To help out till things get better! (Plus, I can't afford rent. My job sucks...)

Item one: I've got double pneumonia (Thats pneumonia in both lungs). It progressed to that after I painted my kitchen while suffering from bronchitis and breathed in too much paint. This gave me Chemical pneumonia which compounded into full blown pneumonia because I worked instead of rested. I can barely sit up. I just came to the Com. to check my DA messages, (There weren't any ) and post a journal, (So you guys would know why I hadn't posted anything) and to see if the new chapter of Naruto was up. (It isn't...) My doc. says if I've not shown improvment by Mon. she's putting me in the hospital. So Da community, pray for me to your many various gods...

Item two: I got a new cat! Well, it got me actually. You see, I came home and there was this little black cat on my porch. It looks like GiGi from KiKi's delivery service except it has orange eyes! Anyway, it immediately decided that it liked me and climbed on my shoulder and just sat there. It's super affectionate, kinda dumb, and black with reddish eyes, so I named it Tobi...

Good. The simpsons movie: OMG. That was the funniest thing ever! When Bart was Skating [nude] and all of a sudden it showed his [wing-dang-doodle] the ladie next to me slapped her hand over her kids eyes so fast that she hurt him! (He was waaaay to young to see it anyways, like 5!) Plus I swear, when Ralph said, "I like men now!" popcorn came out my nose! This movie gets Darthbiscuits GOLD STAMP!!! (I was thinking of starting to do Illustrated movie reviews. Tell me if you all would like that!)

Bad: I was sparring with my bro (Ok, hitting him with a stick), when he turned the tables on me and took my stick and then SMACKED me in the wrist with it! I'm pretty sure it's fractured, and I can't hold a pencil right now so I can't draw. Yeah, I know he's a ninja and I was asking for it, but it still sucks. I can't even remember what the fight was about. Like, I was either was trying to get him to waash the dishes again, or it was just another spirted anime' disccusion. First: I bought the new Harry Potter on Sat. and finished it Sun. Morning. It's that f***ing good. I've since read it again. Plus, I've read the Awesome ending like 40 times! I am sad that JKR killed, like, ALL of my favorite side characters. (SPOILER ALERT!!!) Hedwig. Fred. Lupin. Tonks. And finally, MadEye, Rest in peace. *SNIFF* (Colin Creevey died too but he can burn in hell.) Plus, my other fave thing about the book, Neville Longbottom- BadAss. Nuff said.

Second: The revelation that the real leader of Akatsuki is... A Good Boy!!! How I predict things will work out...
1) Tobi will reveal himself as Obito. Kakashi will piss himself.
2) Pain will fight Naruto. And win.
3) Akatsuki will try to extract Kyyubi. While this is happening, Naruto will be in that place in his head that looks like my basement. He will save Kyyubi by fully integrating chakra with it so there two chakra's become one. This way the kyyubi will still be sucked out of naruto but it's power and influence will still be with him. He will break free of the "Machine" and battle Pein again. He will win.
4)blue will be revealed as the Smurf queen.
5) It will be revealed that the true purpose of the akatsuki is to help Tobi fully aquire the power of the sharingan.

Third: I'm gonna go see the Simpsons movie! Whoot!

3)Naruto: Shippuden opening. It keeps me sane while the folks at Dattebayo get over their assyness...
4)Happy for the rest of your life, by Jimmy Soul. I love this song ever since I heard it on an alenald flash!
5)Valiente by BoA, Despite it's name, it's J-pop. Frickin awesome J-pop...

I started Cpr. (Yes, Cpr) After a very, very long two minutes she started gasping for air and I started massaging her chest. For two minutes my cat was very, very dead. But now she is sitting on my lap like a lump, purring. I couldn't be happier. Pets. You never know how important those little, furry creeps are until you almost lose one. She is still pretty weak and not out of the red zone yet, so please pray for her all you deviants.
