1. Typically what type of genre do you draw?

I draw anything, really. I don't like to limit myself to one genre or style.
Right now I'm leaning towards anything cartoony (and gay). A few years ago I drew anime-style, but not the 'huge eyes, little mouth' thank god. I like shounen (boy) manga style a lot more (like Slam Dunk).

2. What is your favorite fandom to draw characters from?

That is a tough question. I have a ton of fandoms I love and every character is unique in it's own way.
I have to say that I love drawing 'happy' characters, Mikey from TMNT, Wally from JLA, etc. They are the easiest to draw, too.

3. What do you have the most trouble drawing? (Anything from humans, to hands, to animals-- whatever!)

Girls? No.. I draw them rarely, but I can't say I have trouble drawing them.
Animals and furries are something I need more practice on. Backgrounds are a close second. Things like furniture, vehicles etc.
Drawing faces and different expressions is the most time consuming thing for me.

4. Do you try to improve on the things you have trouble drawing?

I guess. I don't actively practice any particular thing, but if I need it for a picture, I will put all my effort into making it look good.

5. Do you find yourself wanting to improve but you're more comfortable drawing within your comfort zone? If so how come?

Because it's easier? Of course the comfort zone would be my preferred choice, but I do love to improve, like any other artist. I try something new with every picture I draw. It's fun and engaging.

6. How do you take criticism? (Do you try to build off it or shrug it off?)

Built off it, if it's really a good critique. When someone says "That and that looks weird" and doesn't specify why, it will just irk me. And I can usually tell my own mistakes and things I need to improve. But if I'm lazy or tired, I will just leave it be.
There are a lot of pics in my art folder that are just lying there for months (or years, in some case), because they are marked as "needing improvement". I can't post a pic unless I'm satisfied with it.

7. What made you sign up for an account here on ?

I love sharing my art and collecting other people's brilliant works. It gives me inspiration. I know I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't come here.

8. Do you like cookies?

I'm taking all offers and my prices start as low as $5 for a digital ink + $1.50 for any additional character + $1.50 for simple cell-shading on top (one color only: grey, sepia, any color of your choice).
Full color commissions are welcome and the price is always negotiable. It just depends on the amount of work needed. I might do a full color for $10 if I find the subject simple for me to draw.
I'm open to any pairing/fandom/original characters in a wide range of styles (cartoon, anime, chibi, even a bit of realism if you will).

Yes, the dreaded art slump has come. And it's not like I stopped drawing, on the contrary, I have a ton of unfinished pics lying around.. But that's the problem... I can't seem to finish any one thing I start! I mean what's wrong with me? I sketch and sketch, but I have no desire to finish anything.. *sad face*
And as if I needed another distraction, I have the hots for this new sexy fandom.. *wiggles eyebrows* And I can't even understand why I like it. I feel like it's corrupting me. XD

If the Turtles were human, what would they look like?

How do you imagine Leo, Don, Raph and Mikey in human form? Short or long hair? Eye/hair color? Height and build? What clothes they'd wear?

I'm asking this because I want to draw them as humans and I wanted to know your opinions before I do it. If I like your version better, then I might choose to draw it!

ABOUT ME

My name is JJ, but you can call me Wally, or datingwally or whatever you want to.. I'm Russian, but live in Europe, so English is not my first language.

I've always been a little shy to talk about myself, so you won't be seeing journals about my life unless something fundamental happens. I'm much more ready to talk about fandom stuff anyway.. ^^

What kind of person am I? Usually very laid back and open minded, sensitive, with a romantic streak and a craving for adventure. I'd also like to think of myself as creative. I'm very immature, playful and passionate most of the time, though I can act overly serious and somewhat cold at times.

I just needed a place for stacking my drawings, so here I am.



I think I should introduce myself to those who don't know me.

My name is JJ. I'm 21 and I started drawing about 8 years ago.

I've reached a point where I can say I'm happy with my drawings.. That means you can expect pretty decent art from me.

I've been a long time fan of Japanese anime, but recently I've discovered a love for American superhero cartoons and comics.

My art's main focus is on DCU toonverse with a spicing of comicverse. (+ Smallville canon)

My favorite pairings are Bruce Wayne/Wally West and Clark Kent/Lex Luthor..

Yes, that means I like Batman/Flash and Superman/Lex.
