Apologies for the lack of updates; I've not been feeling so great lately and have discovered a rediculously addictive facebook app.

My brother's been sick with swine flu, and I was feeling a little iffy yesterday but this morning I could barely breathe when I woke up. So I spent the day at home wrapped in several blankets, shivering and so on. Not very nice.

On the plus side, it gave me some time to FINALLY get around to designing characters for my extended project. Might upload them, might not...depends on whether I can be bothered dragging the scanner all the way downstairs and setting it up xD I'd cobbled one together over the course of the past few days, but I managed to draw up three today whilst quarrentined (spelling?!). Oh yeah, and I watched through Marriland's entire pokemon platinum coverage on YouTube. Fun fun.

Mum just made me a cup of this weird lemony lemsip thing, bless. I normally love really sour things, which the drink is, but it's not a nice concept when your throat continuously feels like it's on fire. So I dragged myself to the kitchen to put a bit of sugar in it to sweeten it up. Somehow, I managed to spill the entire bag of sugar all over the floor - and the drink all over myself. Screw it, I'm going to bed *facepalm*

So we bought another with the money and I scratched it. This time, we got a tenner

In other news, the laptop has been ressurected!! Well, half so. The new charger cable is almost as dodgy as the old one, so it was a combination of a faulty charger AND a faulty laptop itself that killed it. Oh well xD

I painted both Leonel and Charon's faces, and repainted Coralee's in the gap in DA activity - AND I made some jumpers and jewellry for little Leon. I'll upload pictures in a bit xD Oh yeah, and I wrote a poem that I absolutely LOVE for english lit. That's going up here, too.

Well, not /technically/ dead. The power pack thing that connects it to the mains won't work, so it has to run of battery power. And the battery isn't too wonderful. So right now I'm typing to you from the ancient computer in the attic, and cramming as much browsing I possibly can into the little slice of time I have access to the internet while my dad's at work xD

Oh yeah, and I somehow managed to slice three fingers open with a lino cutter on friday. Not too happy about that, either xD


But on the plus note - I got my pastels!! Just have to wait for it to stop raining so I can MSC to do faceups ALSO I found some long(ish) fur to do wigs. Both attempts thus far have failed, so I'll try again tomorrow



Hopefully the new power pack for the laptop will arrive on Monday. Why isn't there post on Sundays?! o.o

I miss the Internet.

Sketch request done at last - big thanks to for being so patient. Also, the 3333 hits pic will be more like a 'number of hits and watchers' combined thing, seeing as my page has been viewed over a hundred times more and the pencil's nowhere near the sketch pad.

And on another another note, for college we have to do an extended project - but we get to choose what about. We can pick anything we want, as long as it's an investigation/in the form of a question. It's a 5000 word essay, or 1000 words and some kind of artefact (like a video or a sculpture or something). So here's my question-
'How has the Final Fantasy series developed over time, and what is its impact on the gaming world?'

How freakin' awesome is that?!?!?

And my tutor said, for the artefact, I can produce a picture (on photoshop, of course ) of a NEW Final Fantasy game that I design from scratch!!!


It's a dream come true!!!!!

Yes, they have credited me in the comments - but they DID NOT ask permission prior to doing this - they didn't even let me know!! From glancing through their gallery, it seems that the majority of their art is the edited work of others. So I'm wondering; did they ask the permission of those artists, too? And if not - does anyone else think there is something wrong with this?!

I can understand why people would want to recolour great art with or without profit to themselves, but it kind of irritates the artists they don't ask permission from. I was really upset when I found out this morning - and now I have to go to college and study with this on my mind. To be honest, there are plenty of other things I'd rather have floating around in my head.

On another note, I watched the Goofy Movie last night for the first time in like...years. Epic. It brought back so many childhood memories. They just don't make movies like they used to xD

Grrr still 8 days til I can play dissidia...hahaha now that I've watched vids of the USA/UK gameplay I can't wait more than ever xD Rosebud only Tidus would think up a nickname like that... and oh yeah. Bartz? It's Zid-DAIN D: It has an E on the end for a reason xo I actually rewound the vid to play the line again, just to make sure I heard right. Zid-darn. Ha! (Nothing against Bartz though - he's a legend)

Though I gotta say, I'm quite pleased with the majority of the VAs. I thought Squall and Zidane's voices were a bit deep at first, and Onion Kight sounded a bit TOO childish, but they just sort of worked for me after a few battle vids. Easily pleased xD


And for once, Square Enix has decided to release a game NOT on the day I start school/some sort of unavoidable event is happening. So in the 3 days between Dissidia's release and I start college, guess what I'll be doing?

So I tried to make a pikachu hat for Coralee out of felt after finding a tutorial in a moment of boredom (tutorial found here [link] ) and I think it turned out pretty well - considering I had to sew it by hand (I SUCK at that btw) because I have a fear of sewing machines O.o I asked mum to help me with the machine, and the second hat turned out MUCH better.

Since mum's machine is donkeys years old, she went looking for a new one when we were downtown today - and returned with the smallest machine in the world. It's so tiny, I might upload a pic of it just for laughs.

So anyways, I had a lot of black and a bit of yellow and red felt left. What kind of pokemon has those colours....? Umbreon, of course! (Eeveelutions ftw!!)

After the umbreon hat, also Coralee-sized, and another trip to the crafts store, Glaceon and Espeon hats are now keeping some of old toys' ears warm. I think this is turning into a hobby...

I read that story mode takes 70 hours to complete, but if you go after all the items then it'll take 100+ @.@ Heh, there's the rest of my free time gone I also read that they're supposed to be announcing the exact US release date at the end of feb - and it's the last day tomorrow
I know I'm slow, but I think I hit a new level - I only found out this afternoon that there's a 3rd installment to the Parasite Eve series coming out for the PSP this year!! I watched all the trailers, and I must say I am impressed. 'The 3rd Birthday' was originally meant for mobile phones, and I was really disappointed to hear that - but now I know it's for PSP I'll be keeping a keen eye on Square
And all of this build-up for FFXIII - whoa. I'm not overly-excited about it, to be honest... but I wouldn't mind having a go at the PSP version. I think it's cool they're bringing out multiple games under the XIII title for different platforms, but I heard they're still finalising the storyline. Talk about a busy year for Square Enix

After the film we went back to Helen's - after walking down to the arcade and having a car of lads pull up next to us. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I think I can guess. Why else would lads stop in the road next to a group of girls in party clothes? Honestly...
I couldn't sleep over, but when it was time to leave the door was stuck It wouldn't open for ages; we had to post the key to my dad through the letterbox so he could open it from the outside.
On a more general note, we finished for Christmas on friday. Yesss holiday! 4 days till christmas...
This year's gone really fast, it seems like last christmas was only a couple of weeks ago. I remember it really well, which makes a change haha.

I'm really loving it, it makes the days go much slower [that's good, it makes the break last longer ]
I read through the whole Fruits Basket series 1 - 14, it brought back memories @.@ really good though, I recommend it for those who haven't read it.
I promised my friend that I'm going to watch Death Note over the holidays - not sure when though... but I will.
I've discovered the pen tool in photoshop!! haha yeah i know, how slow am I sorry...I'm kinda learning it all by myself, it never came with a manual or anything so I've been figuring things out as I go along.
I'm working on a new picture! I'm really taking my time with this one, so that it's not some crappy thing that was finished in about an hour...like the rest of my stuff. I'm starting over, so to speak: I'm working in a new style and stuff so it should hopefully look different to all my other stuffs.

Dust-caused sneezing fits. Ugh. And inhalation of stain remover fumes XD How on earth it can get so dirty under a computer, I'll never know.
