ok, almost end of May, still need to finish painting the house outside & the bathrooms (inside ;P), pool turned green overnight, i have to work Memorial Day (holiday here) and the next 5 days after, my wife wants to go swimming (notice green pool), and i haven't had any time to get online let alone create any art.... and there's over a thousand deviations in my devwatch?!?! :faint:

Every where i turn I find people who hate their jobs, feel stifled in their jobs, or losing their jobs. :(

There's something wrong with this picture: industry heads worth billions saying they need more billions or they will have to put hundreds of thousands of people out of work. :confused:

Financiers with millions of their own gambling with other people's money, betting wrong and putting millions of people out of work & out of their homes, and creating a world-wide recession ... & expecting those same people to pay for their mistakes. :no:

Me? :? .... meh.... (mini-rant coming on)
I have over 20 years of support experience in various industries, helped build one company from a 3 man operation (father, son, & me) to a point where an upset customer could mean losing a 1/2 million dollar contract. I was on a team that built a national data network for a major financial institution where I had the access to delete the entire network, leaving no trace... even during the 45 days after I was told my job no longer existed.
I currently work in a group where following the process is gospel; process the customers within a given timeframe, say the magic words for Quality, and all is well. Oh, and provide Sales with enough qualified leads that they manage to close on 3 per month. (You are held resposible & they average closing about 1/3... & most customers are trying to reduce their expenses.) Efficiency is the rule, forget about giving the customer a reason to keep giving us money every month.

What ever happened to respecting and valuing each other as people? :(

I downloaded and installed the version upgrade of DAZ Studio.... :no:

after several hours i got it to the point where it would actually load a scene I'd created with an earlier version but after rendering TWICE as long as it took before it was only 64% done and had an error message in the render progress window (3Delight message #3 (Severity 2) T2040 'C:\Progra) which, of course means nothing to me except that something's wrong.
so i thought 'OK, i'll just re-install the older version.'
HA! :thumbsdown:
