Selected haiku will become part of a permanent stone Haiku Memorial at Burrard SkyTrain Station downtown under the cherry tree planted last year to commemorate the inaugural 2006 festival. Tired, yet not tired... sleepy, yet not asleep.  So I tried to watch a dvd to pass out to. The dvd starts to choke 1/4 way in and didn't finish watching...

So bored, so I started to read up on a few things on dpreview (mainly flipping thru camera reviews), yes that bored. Then I started to think about shooting again (soon... early feb at the latest I'm planning!) ..... for now I'll just hold my camera to sleep, really it's right next to me; who needs a stuffed animal?

I went to Leo's Camera  today, a local photography shop here in Vancouver,BC. Lo and behold, they just got in, their first Canon 20D and it was sitting in the display case, so I just had to check this beast out!

First impressions: I've handled the 10D a few times so I can judge how it compares between the two and the 20D offhand felt a bit more comfortable to hold, weight and balance wise. It wasn't too light but just right I thought, very erganomic pretty much like the 10D with slight improvements. I sold my 50mm 1.8 AND 70-200mm 4 L. I'm now just shooting primarily with my 17-40mm 4 L till I can find a new little 50mm 1.4. Why you ask? ... I was kinda getting poor after all those recent purchases... see that's the good thing about camera stuff, they don't depreciate much, if at all, if you sell at the right time!

Anyways... I'll be reunited with the 70-200 4 L some time down the line, it was definitely fun to use!

oh, I also sold the S410 too, =P that sale will pay for the 50mm itself.

Yes, ... if you haven't already guessed, my last submission (FLOW) was infact a joke.  I *did* take the picture, but there were a couple of clues as to why it was fake.  1. being the "date it was actually taken on, Feb 22nd*.

Though I wished my friend did work at Canon, he may as well be an employee or some kind of field tester... he's had or has all their best gear and lenses.

The shot was originally taken with my (D60) camera, and I did use a 20-35mm L lens... that's about the only truth in that description

Finally!! the new lens has arrived!!! I won an auction off of ebay for this thing and have been waiting for about a week and a bit for it. Today, this morning, it has arrived!

It seriously looks like they rubbed vaseline on the lens.... :shutter:  chills run down my back whenever I see a picture in softness overkill. like an overly used cheap photoshop filter used to death. Its the cheesiest look and effect ever!!!!

I was just going thru some of the forums on dpreview about ir + canon d60. supposedly, canon made the d60 especially hard to capture IR ... which basically means my IR filter is useless! .. no wonder it was so hard to take IR shots the other day. .....

so I ran out of Halls last night... so I decide to make a quick run to the 7-11 literally 1minute away. I walk up and down the aisles and find the halls. My head hurts due to all the straineous coughing in the past 24hrs. You see, I came down with something on friday (I think the lady @ IHOP coughed on my pancakes) and so far have fought it off pretty well with just drinking about 10 cups of hot water with spoons full of honey and about 16 halls cough candies. I dunno if it's from all the water + honey and the halls, but I've been having some weird dreams as of late.
