Hey!
After 2 months I think it's time for an update here
I've been very busy with school lately and don't have so much time to take photos, but some of my recent shots I made in the little spare time I have between my tests and exams made it here and I can say I am fairly happy with what I got in the last time. I also submitted my first shot from film, wich is a great success, because I promised to do so almost one year ago Well as of the reactions you kinda liked it.
I will try to submit more in the future.
In the holidays (last week) I spent a day out with Martin shooting some landscape and nature stuff wich I didn't do for a long time, but I am really pleased with it. I also tried out my new lens that day. It's a macro tele, so you'll probably see some macros here and there. I have also been doing lots of sports in the last time and I hope everyone likes it.
After nearly 3 months some of you participated in my poll and it turned out that you like my portraits and architecture best. As I am fairly active with Architecture I am going to do some in the future, if I find willing models and some nice ideas, because I have a fable for emotional and spontaneus shots it is going to take it's time until I am happy with one or the other.
I also want to thank everyone who supports me- it's great to know that you enjoy my work!
Please check out my friends that are listed below - most of them are photographers, too.
Keep the good work up!
Cheers, Jan!

Hey Guys!
Yes! I'm still alive and everything's fine!
Wondered why I didn't comment as much in the last week? Well school started again here in Germany and I'm havin' kind of a hard time getting all the work done - already in the first week!
Well the next two years of school will be farily important to me because all the marks will go together in one big report that will be my qualification for university and my last school report ever, so I'll struggle a little harder.
I also want to thank everyone who commented, faved and watched me as I won't always have the time to answer everyone individually, but there is someone whom I want to give a big thank you for everything - it's my friend - I got his 20,000 pv and was awarded a feature and a subscription - he also featured me before, wich was kind of a big support! Thanks for that Martin!
Furthermore I have a new "Tool of the Trade" to mention in my ID - It's my father beautiful Olympus XA - a tiny rangefinder camera - great for street and silent shooting!

Well I think that's it for the moment - I'll constantly submit new stuff and hope you'll enjoy it!
Thanks for your support!
Yours Jan

Bonjour à tous!
So I'm back from France and had an awesome time round there.
During the first week we rented a log-cabin in the northern part of France where I enjoyed a nice time with my girlfriend and my parents. Afterwards, in the second week, we went for a boat trip in the middle of France, where I took an awful lot of pictures and had much fun cruising 'round the rivers.
All the stuff is shot on film with my Minolta that I learned to love on that trip. I shot 5 full rolls of 35mm film. Three rolls of crossed Kodak EPP wich was more of an experiment, but it turned out perfectly well (blue/yellowish hue) and two rolls of my trusted black and white Agfa APX 100 wich was perfect as expected.
So the first day I was back in town I had them developed and printed to pick out some favorites and have an overall impression.
Although I didn't buy my scanner yet I am thinking about scanning a few with my crappy office scanner and upload them into my scrapy, so maybe check them if you are interested. I am really happy with all of them and the Minolta equipment was so much fun to shoot. It just works!
I am also taking a few new skate shots tomorrow. I'll show'em if they turn out as I want them to.
Thanks everyone for supporting!
I am gonna check my messages these days. Didn't manage to answer them yet...
Keep the good work up!

Hey guys!
Sorry to write another journal. It's just supposed to be an update, but I figured it'l be too long.
So... the trip to Frankfurt with was awesome! We had a lot of fun taking pictures and walking round town. The results are also very good and I'll post them as soon as possible.
I received my annual school report today and I'm very happy with my grades. All A's and B's so I'll be fine.
I'll be in France for 2 weeks from tomorrow on, so I wont be able to post, comment or do anything here on DA 'caus we are in the middle of nowhere and I'll enjoy some time off of Internet, TV, mobile phone etc. ...
I hope everyone will have a good time and I promise to come back with a whole bunch of photos to submit and for you to enjoy.
I wish you all just the best!
Yours Jan

It's always a joy to see the work of others and how skills, styles or people develop!
Anyways... I'm really looking forward to it and am hoping to get some shots to upload. I also ordered a Lightmeter for my analog cameras and will hopefully finally buy my Scanner (Canon 8800F) around August or Septmeber, so you'll probably find lots of analog stuff here around that time. I gotta apologize fpr always announcing, but not getting it started...
So thank you again for your support!
Keep it up!

There will be more stuff in the future as school starts to be less stressful. I am planning on various things and hopefully everything will turn out well.
I am still struggling to buy a scanner as there are other things that I badly need. I found a good model now, but I don't know when I am going to buy it.
I hope everyone's enjoying my work.
Keep submitting, commenting and faving!
Greetings Jan
P.S.: I uploaded some paintings that I did for school.
I switched!
To film.
I fell in love with it by using my mom's Minolta that is mine now. I bought a used Hasselblad last week and am already patiently waiting for my first roll of Ilford-film . I am so sorry for not uploading anything, but lately I didn't have much time and if I had some I invested it in shooting skateboarders and I don't want these photos to take over my gallery as it is not really my style. It's more of a dedication to the sport that I always wanted to learn but I am not really talented so I gave it up, but through photographing friends doing it I can keep in touch with what I want(ed). So in the future there will be less uploads in general and less digital uploads... I hope my watchers wont kill me and I didn't give up digital at all. It's only the creative advantages of film that made me switch... I only wanted to tell that to you and yes... get a bit of attention
Keep uploading.
Overwhelmed

Hey everyone!
I am stoked. Absolutely stoked. This day was (besides the day I got my first camera) the most important day for my photography in my whole life! I took part in 's contest for Portrait photography and I got 2nd! That is so unbelievable for me! I can't really believe that I really am one of the four winners of this contest... it has such a huge meaning for me! It gives me much much confidence! And on top of that I even got a new camera and will probably get one or two new lenses soon! My new D90 already does a good job, as you may have seen in my most recent deviation. I hope everyone's enjoying my work. Keep commenting please. It helps me a lot!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks to all my supporters, that comment on my work and give me the confidence, critique and encouragement to keep on shooting!

Hey friends!
How's it going? I am doing quite fine in the last weeks and I finally took pictures again and uploaded some as you saw. In the future there are going to be more sport and portrait shots, because I am planning a few sessions with friends and local skaters and stuff, so be aware. I am still trying to get some ideas for cenceptual shots and am still waiting for some possibillities for taking a few landscapes or architecture photos, but the weather isn't on my side. I hope everyone's enjoying theyrselves and hopefully enjoying my work
'til later!

P.S.: Thanks to my friends that comment on every shot I upload! Your criticism and support is very helpful and highly appreciated!

Hey Guys!
As you all may have noticed I am taking a little break from DA. School has started again and I am quite occupied by many things anyways, so I haven't got so much time. I'm still taking many pictures and eventually one or another will make it into my gallery, but not at the moment - I'm being lazy and well. I somehow find myself a bit uncreative. There will be some, but not now. So I hope everyone's enjoying hisself as much as I do and everything's fine.
Keep it up!

Hey Guys!
Just wanted to tell y'all tht I'm back from the States. I had an outstanding trip and met many fascinaing people. In the end I've been staying with three different families and had lots of fun. And üictures didn't come short as well. At the side of shopping, sightseeing and just enjoying my trip I also was able to take the one or other shot that will make it to the DA gallery, so be aware.
Talk to you later...

Hey! There's some news again.
Two days ago I was on a small trip, shootig with in the hills around Wiesbaden. As I am going to Detroit on Friday you got to wait for the results, as they aren't ready yet. There are also some other pics coming up. Mostly Architecture and a bit of other stuff that I shot around town. I hope everyone's fine. I'll be back in about two weeks with thousands of new shots from Michigan and so on, so be aware of many Deviations. Best wishes 'til then...

Hey guys!
I just deviated a whole bunch of images and the response was really good for my standards: about ten favs and many many comments by and some other friends... I really appreciate all that support and i'm glad that my uncreative period seems to be over... I'll have time to take some new pictures in the next days, so you'll probably see a deviation once in a while... Thank you for your support again..
'til later and have a good time...

UPDATE: I even got featured in 's journal... I got holidays now, but I'm quite busy with meeting friends, daytrips and other stuff... I am going to Detroit in I think 3 weeks and I plan to take quite many photos there, too. You will also see some new style in here soon, caus I started to take photos of my friends I go biking with and some of these are quite cool, so I think 'bout showing them... well that's all for now... have a great time

Hey there. I just returned from my classtrip to Berlin. I'll be uploading the photos over the next time. I want to take my time for each one because I took quite many good ones that are worth own titles and probably a small poem or somesuch, so it'll take a while until all of them are here... The trip itself was fine, but I enjoy it to be back home. I hope everyone's doing well...
'til later Jan

Hey.
I've been deviating a bit more in the last time and also recieved a few, but to me very important, favs and comments. Somehow my new deviations are of a kinda bad quality. I', sorry for that and I don't know why the quality changed from the original on my PC. I'll try to change that. Thanks for your support
EDIT: The problem's fixed so my deviations will be nice and clear again, but that doesn't compensate the lag of creativity I am suffering of... some advice?
