hmmm... i think i've decided what i'm going to do with my tiny "clusters wip". i think i'm going to do another large charcoal and pastel drawing and place "clusters" within it.
any thoughts?

did anyone used to watch "secret city" with commander mark on PBS back in the eighties? i found some episodes on youtube and i'm in heaven (just wish the quality was better). i remember drawing along with him when i was a kid

wow, i'm actually excited about making art for a change.

i held this job for one week and had to quit. this job was advertised as a job for those who love pics and working with kids, etc. yeah, that's a load. it's all about sales, making quotas (must sell $100+ per customer even if they have a coupon for $7.99), being pushy toward customers and abusive superiors. it only took one week for me to see just how f*ed up this company really is. the manager hasn't been with the company for even a year and already it's driven him to drink. he gets either threatened or verbally abused daily. i'm now so against the company who owns the studio [CPI (they also own walmart's portrait studio)] that if i'm ever in the market for portraits i will never go to them. i want to spread the word. don't support this company.

all summer long i applied for jobs like crazy with no luck. i even went to two employment agencies and still no luck. well, my child's back in school and i decided to hold off on the job hunt for a month or two so that i could be there for him and help with homework. wouldn't you know, after the first week of not looking for a job, i get called for an interview. he said he was really impressed with my application and sounds pretty sincere. the interview is on friday so i guess i'll see how it goes...

yep. just as i feared, i'm officially in an artistic slump.
