I start my first authentic art class on the 15th, centered around computer art. That means that I have to "purchase" Adobe creative suite 2, although I already have the first one. Oh well, being up to date is not a bad thing.

Anyway, about my lack of updates.. my dad's computer is the one that can use the scanner (an older model of scanner; won't work with mine) and currenlty its' A drive is broken.. therefore, I cannot copy my scanned pictures to this computer.. and thus my pictures can not be seen by the masses.. This is truly sad indeed because I have a few done that I need to show the world!

In other news, my pen and ink Ninja/cityscape picture is almost fnished.. just need to detail more buildings and just fill up some more space. I love pen, and I'm starting to regain some of my lost skill through this piece. I hope to do more colored pencil/pen collaborations in the future. Yes, media can have a collaboration.

Nothing much else to report, however, except that I seem to fail at taking pictures of my Viking picture whenever I attempt. Speaking of the Viking picture, I tried to take pictures of it yesterday but the pics weren't turning out! Also, the batteries to the camera died so now I have to buy some more. Sadfaces. Oh well, I guess I'll get the picture back next week... I matted it and everything! Yay. Learning how to create a mat from a regular piece of paperboardthing is a good thing to do. Do it if you are an artist. It makes it look pretty.

All they had to do was remove the scraps of roofing thing (looked like carpet) wrapped around the wires, which took an hour or so (just as I anticipated). They could've gotten to it days ago, but I guess they had other work to do (I saw many just lined up on the side of the road one time doing nothing ). I'm happy though.. power is good. Air Conditioning is good.

With my availability of computer now, I will make sure I submit some of my newer pieces (that were just given to me by my previous art teacher). Apparently they are good? People think so.

I'm glad that for a while it was breezy .. but now its been extremely gross and hot, so I'm glad to be in A/C. I could not survive in the wilderness. That's okay however, because I am good at getting sympathy. That doesn't mean I take advantage of it however, because I am very thankful... but whatever, blabla.

I tried an MRE (the military rations that are better than most) yesterday since army guys were giving them out along with ice and water... it was actually pretty good. Mmm, the heating power of hydrogen and skittles.

Otherwise, there has not been school for a week (which is good) but I'd like to have my own power on plz.

The good thing about this decision is that it won't really affect my decisions in the future because otherwise, if I did have the class, I would be so stressed out that I would forget to do all these applications and such for schools. And then I'd die. I just would, trust me.

Anyway, this means that I can actually draw what I want when I want, so this is causing me great joy and a sense of renewal (hence the title of this post).

My girlfriend is visiting for a week and a half, so this will be really fun.. I will still be online, and I might even be forced to draw! Imagine that!

Speaking of drawings, I am almost finished with 's "Kiriban" or whatever it's called. It's coming out just as I wanted, and I just need to shade it.
