Going back to work on the 3rd of Dec. Permanently. Will be cruising through restricted areas along Namibia's coast for a week or so before that to check out shipwrecks and some scenery...

Haven't been on in a while so just wanted to pop in and see that everything's still running. I'm almost up to my first 1000 pageviews... whoo-peee

Got myself a new pc yesterday. Dual-core 4600+ AMD Socket AM2 with a NX7600 GT Geforce. Still need to get the Ram though. Supplier didn't have any DDRII 800 yet. O well, guess i'll have to wait a few days extra.

Well, hope your all doing well... classes are done for the day so i'm off to Clifton now.

I've been back for a week now, and the three week holiday was pretty damn cool! We drove up through Namibia, made a three day stop in Botswana, spent about a week and a half in Zambia, and then the last bit in Zimbabwe. Speaking of Zim - man that place is falling apart... it's really bad. Imagine walking into a fast food place and seeing a burger and fries for $600,000! It's pretty damn weird.

Anyway, I just posted a few pics and will most likely not post anymore soon (not at work anymore, and dial-up just sucks!)... it does however look like i'm going back to Stellenbosch at the end of the year - and this time for good.

Hope everyone is doing great, and good luck with the second half of 2006.

Rooiberg Winery, to whom we deliver grapes, kindly offered to donate three old unusable CRT monitors to our cause.

We'll probably take the three old bastards down to the river and riddle them with shotgun lead. You know - some good clean fun. We'll obviously be capturing the event with a series of clips and photos. I have one or two pics of the previous massacre in my gallery somewhere...

On a completely different note... it's "Wacky Wine Weekend" in my hometown (Robertson). One of the great events planned for this year is a swimming pool full of red wine with a diamond at the bottom. Guess you can enter to try and "dive" for the diamond. They will probably put other foreign objects in the pool aswell to confuse those attempting the treasure hunt. From what I understand the worth of the diamond is about R2000 or R3000... in other words, it's somewhere between the size of the zero and the fullstop on my keyboard... whoa...

I figure i'm gonna be an ass and stand next to the pool - chucking in pieces of broken shatterproof glass at random intervals... nah, just kidding... but that'd be pretty funny...

O well, back to work.

Well, at last I submitted a few new devs. Nothing special. Been having a hard time getting out there and taking shots. Either I just don't have the time, or the weather sucks...

It also doesn't help that winter is approaching, and the sun is setting sooner and sooner. I don't mind the cold, and I love rain... but it's no good taking photos in pitch blackness...

O well... I'll take some sweeeeet shots in June! Going to Botswana and Zambia on the 23rd of June for a few weeks!

I've successfully removed all my deviations from my old account and uploaded them and a few more into my new one. I also framed them all with basic black framing in photoshop. From now on this is my base of deviant operations...

Anyway, I should be getting my camera back in the next week or two, and it has been almost three months since I actually took a worth-while picture. Damn African time!

I also joined the boland-sa [link] and CapeTown [link] groups and my deviation Elephant Sunset [link] is featured in the UA part of CapeTown!
