I've been sketching a lot lately. I decided that I'm going to hold off on coloring these until I get a graphics tablet. Coloring using the mouse is just too annoying & time-consuming for as many sketches as I'm pumping out. It's going to be a little while depending on which tablet I get because I'll have to save a bit to pay for it & some of them are quite pricey. Any advice on what kind I should get? I hear the Wacom Intuos is great. I like the idea of the Wacom Cintiq because you can sketch directly on the monitor, but it's very expensive & I hear the color is not great. Someone also suggested a tablet PC. What are your thoughts?

Damn, I hate inking! It is the most stressful stage for me. At least with pencil sketching & can erase & modify, & the same goes for when I'm digitally coloring, but during the inking, every thing I do is practically permanent. I mean I can fix mistakes, but it's a pain. I'm almost tempted just to leave it at sketches sometimes, and I really love the way pencil sketches look, but when drawing something like intertwined limbs, it's so much clearer when everything is colored, especially in this case where each character is basically color-coded.

Ok first things first: You may have noticed that I'm now drawing characters other than Ms Pac-Man. Hopefully this is a good thing. To those who are wondering why it took me so long to do this, let me explain: I was having fun. Also I had tried drawing other favorite characters of mine like (female) Link, Samus, & Princess Peach, but I was unhappy with the result, so you never got to see those drawings because they never made it past the sketchpad. That is, until now. I'm feeling better about drawing some of these characters so it is a nice change. It doesn't mean I will no longer draw Ms Pac-Man so for those who still want more of her don't worry, I'm sure I'll get back to her eventually.

Second thing: I recently posted a picture called King Koopa. The original is too mature ( LOL I can hardly say that with a straight face, it's a picture of Bowser & Peach & I'm calling it MATURE ) for dA so I had to crop most of the image out. Facts

1) I'm actually very gentle & pleasant in real life, despite my childish & violent fantasies. The first time i engaged

in a violent IM-RP, I had to get drunk to get over my inhibitions.
2) I have been drawing Ms Pac-Man being chased / eaten since I was like four.
3) I have been a nude model for figure drawing classes about ten times.
4) I do actually know how to spell "descending", but everyone makes mistakes they have to live with sometimes.

The username is just a combination of two words that together implies death, because I wanted my username to

reflect what I'm interested in.
5) The ending of Nausicaa (Kaze noTani no) makes me cry, as does the ending to Chrono Trigger.
6) I like it cold & snowy. I hate heat and humidity, unless I'm in a sauna or at the beach.
7) Almost one year ago today I had to make the hardest & most painful choice of my life thus far. At night I still

dream about the woman I left & I wake up angry at my subconscious for betraying me in my sleep. My heart &

my mind don't agree that I made the right decision. Apparently my mind holds more sway these days. It used to

be the other way around.
8) My favorite physical activity is snowboarding. If I could do it every day, I would.

I swear the sketch takes me like minutes, & the coloring takes all night. But the Pac-Man world is so color-dependent, I don't really have a choice. To save time I'm going with flat (no shading/highlights) color, at least for now. If I feel up to it after all of them are submitted, I will go back & finish the job. I'd rather get them all colored & out there then stop halfway because I'm just so sick of staring at them. Know what I mean?

That being said, I would like to make two things clear:

1) I know that my pictures are repetitive. I'm sorry if you get bored with this, but I'm not going to change what I do to please you. Basically I do this because it pleases me, & if there is some collateral enjoyment on the part of others, so much the better. It does bring me tremendous joy actually when people share in my enjoyment of something, but I will never change my ways to pander to others. I may expand into other themes or characters, but when & if that happens it will be solely because I felt like it. OK I'm not gonna go on & on & think I made that point. Basically I'm saying take it or leave it. Pretty simple.

2) The nature of my drawings is generally deemed as "Pornography" by the devART staff. I could get into a semantic argument on the definition of pornography, but then again I'm not even sure who's side I'd be on & I don't frankly really care. The only pictures of mine that are not removed from DA are mostly the tamest by far & the drawings with little or no sexual depictions. So basically I'm not supposed to have any fun. Well I might water down my art from time to time - restraint & subtlety can be fun, but that's probably only gonna be like 10% of the stuff I draw. I'm not even gonna bother uploading the risque stuff here anymore, because it just gets removed so fast, so if you want to see future demented risque stuff from me, you're gonna have to come over to my yahoo group [link] if you haven't already. Sometimes I feel like I fit in here, right up until I try to submit something of my own & apparently I cross a line like almost every time. I think my stuff is pretty darn tame as it is. Be there sex or violence, I mean there's nothing even remotely realistic about the way I depict it. Whatever I'm rambling. You get the point.

So thanks again for watching & faving & commenting & for the few people who actually seem to want to offer moral support. Will you be seeing new artwork from me on DA? I would say the answer is rarely. My art & DA apparently just doing jive.

& I am totally in love with it, so I figured it warranted a journal. Also this marks the first time I've ever hired someone to draw something for me. Probably won't be the last.

I had to hire someone because i'm pretty bad at drawing actual humans with a mouse. I'm not bad with a pencil & paper though, & I just got a scanner today so I may scan in some female Link sketches I made & color them in Photoshop & then post them here.

Good news for people who can't get enough Ms Pac-Man pictures too, because I'm pretty sure I'm just better at drawing everything with a pencil & paper than I am with a mouse. Soon enough I'll get back to sketching pics of her.

I just submitted four quick sketches. You may wonder why I blast through four different pictures rather than spending the same amount of time getting just one right. Well for one thing I'm busy these days, & I don't like to commit to a picture when I have time constraints because the stress will make the picture suffer. Yes, believe it or not, the pictures could be EVEN WORSE. I like to do the quick ones because the best stuff comes out when there's no pressure, & then once I decide that I like this idea, don't like that idea, etc, I feel better about setting aside the time to really go all out on one of the pictures. I know everyone does this, but not everyone submits their sketches. Well I feel bad for not having submitted anything in quite a while, so this is my offering to tide you over. And don't worry I'm not going to make the same mistake of submitting things that are bound to get removed by the DA staff. I know how to make suggestive pieces that don't break the DA policy. FYI I'm still making the more risque stuff but it'll only be getting posted at my yahoo group [link]

It's quite mean, but then again I can't defend against much of the accusations. It's also quite funny. I expect to be seen as a sick bastard. I don't expect everyone to understand. Clearly, if EVERYONE understood, the world would be quite a different place to be sure. It is admittedly a very small group of interest that I represent, so harsh judgment is to be expected from narrow-minded people who mistakenly tread on my territory. To cast such judgment without himself feeling like a hypocrite, the author of the article must be a pure & perfect being. An angel perhaps.

(To the author):

Wanting to spearhead the attack on someone or something you do not understand simply because you find it personally distasteful, but unwilling to reveal anything whatsoever about yourself - Do you know what that makes you? Here's a hint: If it were 1920, YOU would be at the head of the line, wearing a white mask, leading a black man to a noose amidst burning crosses.

At the same time, I'm kind of glad my work inspired you to write such a detailed article. I'm glad it's gotten such a profound reaction & that it's so polarizing, because in my opinion, that's the only kind of thing worth making. On the Encyclopedia Dramatica Discussion thread for the Decendingskulls page [link] , a user there admitted to reporting some of my pictures here on deviantART, thus getting them removed "just to see what happens" (curious to see if I'll get banned). As I've said before I really don't care about this sort of thing. The presence of these pictures on the internet is mostly an experiment of mine, & the author of the aforementioned article is creating quite a stir in my petri dish.

I just finished writing a Ms Pac-Man story. It's basically the verbal reflection of the pictures I've been posting here, so it has sexual & violent action throughout. *AHEM*

I have gone in & given nearly all of my pictures borders (mostly black). The borders make these pictures look so much better. I'm going to give all my future pictures borders. If you downloaded any of my pictures in the past, I'm strongly recommending that you replace them with the new ones that have the borders. Additionally there is improved shading on 'Kicking & Screaming' (specifically her heels & eyes).

Did I mention that there are now TWO animated GIF cartoons at my Yahoo! group [link] ? They weren't made by me so sadly I won't be posting them here on DA. If you like this stuff & haven't joined up yet (did I mention that Yahoo! groups are FREE?), um do it.

I never imagined that I would get the kind of positive response I've been getting & it's been amazing.

I'm curious to know what you all think of this concept. I'm feeling a surge of new creativity lately & I'm going to be making some new pictures. Is there anything in particular that any of you would like to see that hasn't been done already? If so please speak up.

I was thinking of something today. In the near future I'm going to try to create this. I'm thinking of drawing a pic of Ms Pac-Man chomping a ghost (for a change). Then drawing one of her reclining with a satisfied look & a swolen belly as the ghost's eyes fly away. In the background I'm going to draw another ghosts lurking in the shadows. Finally I'll draw a pic of her being chomped by the second ghost. The cool thing is I'll get to show her doing the chomping, which we never see & will add another dimension to her character & perils, & we'll also get to see her being chomped with her swolen belly, which I think will be fun, especially for inflation enthusiasts. I'm also thinking of doing a few more of those short comics.

If anybody has any ideas they'd like to see, I'd love to hear them.
I may just be able to bring it to life. I also started brainstorming
for a story that I'll write somewhere down the line.

Also I want to say that while my pictures are violent & predatory towards a female character, it's not to be taken as hateful or misogynistic in any way. It's purely sexual & fantasy fun. I'm probably "preaching to the choir" but I like to say this anyway, in case anyone does happen to take it the wrong way. I love women, love my mother, & I don't harbor any ill will towards any particular group of people.
