I absolutely hate this photo. I thought it was awesome when I took it but I have come so far with my photography that I look back and realize that it's really not a very impressive photo.

Here's the kicker. I hate it, but it just so happens to be my most popular photo!

Anyway.

Well I've got some pretty superb news to share with you all.

A modeling agency called CIMA (Canadian International Modeling Agency) located here in Ottawa, has just hired me as a photographer. My first shoot with them is this Saturday at 3pm. My photos will be featured in Substance Magazine, various websites, and CIMA will build me a pretty awesome portfolio.

There's not much money involved, if any. But meh, I'm happy regardless.

I'm pretty pumped to start shooting with them. And I will share whatever I can with the public. They said I'm allowed to use photos I take with them for my own personal use, as long as they have the CIMA watermark on it. Which is cool, so keep an eye out for bigger and better things coming from me.

I've also decided to buy another DSLR. I'm gonna go with a Canon RebelXT. I'm getting a pretty sick deal on it I'll be rocking a Nikon AND a Canon. Suck it bitches, lol.

That's about it.

Oh yeah, I moved again, I now live right in downtown Ottawa, woop woop!

NEVER TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO FUTURE SHOP TO GET FIXED.

Now that all that junk is out of the way, here goes.


I've been without my computer for well over two months. My DA activity has been literally ZERO. I've got 96 faves and comments to sift through, and over 3,500 deviations to check out.

I've got roughly 8 shows worth of photos I need to catch up on, and a bunch of other random stuff. Expect a shitload of new photos from me flooding this page, as soon as I can get photoshop up and running.

Now here's the big news... I MOVED OUT!

That's right I moved out of the crappy Smiths Falls and am now living in Ottawa. I'm working full time and having a blast. If you live in Ottawa keep an eye out for me at shows or lemme know and we'll get a couple of pints.

Anyways, yes, my D70 is at Nikon getting fixed. They're repairing it for free even though my warranty is non-existant because there was a defect in the early release, which is what I have.

I've also got alot of faves from some awesome people, I'll try and get a personal thanks to everyone, I haven't been on DA in a while and I probably won't be visiting regularly for a little while either, my computer is also in getting fixed, lol.


Anywho, when I get my camera back, I'll probably shit my pants 'cuase I'll be too busy taking pictures to care. So you can expect to see a shitload of new photos soon, I hope.

I've also got like 200 untouched photos from the last show I shot, but am too lazy to put them up.

My favorite band just broke up.


A Dozen Furies will be playing one last show at Ridglea, and then they're calling it quits. They were supposed to have an album coming up early next year, and I was looking forward to them touring back to Canada.

2 years, one full length Album Ozzfest, tour with GWAR...And they're done. Sad sad day for me. I loved these guys You can see some pictures of their show I took in October in my gallery.

Obviously, I'm more than Kinda-Back as per my last journal entry. I got a new laptop, and wireless highspeed, and I got my camera working again and I've been submitting pictures a lot recently. Carrying on...

On wednesday I got myself a week-early birthday present. And not just a "Aww it's a nice birthday present" is a "Holy shit what did I do so right to deserve this?" birthday present. That's right.

My mom bought me a Nikon D70 with an 18-70mm lense, a spare battery and a UV filter. That's not all.
I've got a bounce flash on the way from my brother in Timmins, and perhaps a memory card from my future sister-in-law. Not to mention cash from my grandma in town, and my other grandparents in Kingston(Florida during the winter.) HOT DAMN this is better then christmas...Perhaps another lens is in order... woot

Not only that, but I made it good with the local Brockville metal scene. At the last show I went to, two bands Raging Blood and Dread the Third Season hooked me up with free CDs for taking pictures, and Raging Blood has invited me to pretty much any of their shows free of cost. I'll probably be taking pictures at every single one, especially now that I have a friggin' D70.

Not only this, but I now also own 5 classic cameras dated between 1951 and 1975. My favorite of which being an old Minolta from '71. These belonged to my grandfather who passed away about 10 years ago, and were given to me just after christmas by my grandmother.

Enough bragging...Now the bad shit.

I got effin' kicked out of my high school for being a slacker. Doesn't make shit all sense but I don't care anymore. I was starting to hate the place anyway. The only downside is that I miss my friends but I suppose I could go visit periodically, it's only a 15 minute drive away.

That's pretty much it. I'll have frickin' TONNES of new photos up soon. Watch out for those.

I am, at the moment. Lacking an important piece. Camera. My brother came home for a weekend, and took the camera back home with him when he left. I'd go get it, if it's not a 12 hour drive of course...

Only submissions I'll be doing are photoshop bits with either stocks, or my old work if I'm really desperate.

Aswell, I have 6 gmail invites if anyone wants one. These thigns always pile up 'cause I never send 'em out.

I am, however, getting a nice camera for christmas. Minolta DiMage G5. I wanted the G6 model, but meh. My mother bought it for me, with a bunch of memory cards, and let me play with it that night, then took it...And hid it until Xmas. Grrr.

I was trimming my hair by myself like an idiot. (I suck at cuting hair, let alone my OWN hair) when I chopped a bit too much off. It sucked badly, many bald spots were found. Just got back from the Casualties show in Ottawa. FUCKING AMAZING SHOW!!!!

Sucked at first 'cause we had to bribe the bouncer to let us in 'cause the show was sold out. We dropped 85 bucks for 5 people to get into a 10 dollar show.

We got in about half way into the second opening band, but that's alright 'cause they fucking ruled, and we got straight up to the front of the crowd anywho.

I was in arm's reach of the guys the whole time and I loved it. Jorge stuck the mic in my face on NUMEROUS occasions. Everytime I was sifted farther back I would get kicked in the face by a crowd surfer before making my way back to the front. 4 kicks to the face. 3 of which were by my best friend, Jimmy Rotton. Thanks Rotton.

Show fuckin' ruled. I want to go again. We all had to get out of the venue quick to make room for the fucking hippity-hop show right afterwards.

My AFI skull and crossbones T-shirt that I wore is soaked in sweat, water, and Casualties saliva. It's great.

Met the drummer as I was walking back to the front of the venue from taking a piss in the alley way, I made sure to beeat the crowd to him right after zipping up. Good thing I didn't piss on my hands, wooo-boy.

I should probably get to bed soon. Sooo tired.

I had a fucking blast, anyone who likes punk rock NEEDS to see the casualties live. It should be a goal in life for you fuckin' punx.

The new uniforms are ghey...But that's alright I suppose. I'm wearing a kilt tommorow, or today, which.

Classes are great for first semester...Co-op, Comm Tech(Gr10) and American History(Gr11 Univeristy prep). I got the same teacher I had for gr10 Candian History last year, which rules, becuase he's the best fucking teacher anyone could EVER ask for.

Ten after One...I should be awake in a few hours to get my ass ready for school. I missed the bus today...Which sucked... But that's alright becuase my mom let me drive to school.

I wonder how hard it'll be on a bus with a kilt, the way I usually sit...Legs against back of seat in front of me.

Meh. Time will tell...

I've got welts all over me from those damn BBs, aswell as cuts and scratches from those damned trees. I'm sore, my feet hurt, I went off of one bowl of rice between now and early Friday.

Took a few hits to the face, The welts look like uber-acne.

The events of tonight leaves me a bloody, stitched, mess.

I was walking through the park near my house. I was with some friends. Two girls, Two guys, and Me. In the distance we see a couple walking their dog. One guy I'm with picks up a rock and throws it at the couple. Just barely missing them. The guy, who was Hugely built, comes running over to me, and lays ONE MASSIVE punch from his bigger-than-Terminator sized arm and levels me, because I was the biggest guy in the group.

I see the guy coming at me, next thing I know I'm on the ground covered in blood. My hands, were totally red. Looked like my skin had been ripped off. That bad. The guy came back when I stumbled to my feet and started yelling at me. I told him it wasn't me until he got tired of it and wlaked away.

I started walking home...Cussing, cursing, swearing. I know they all mean the same thing, that's how much of it there was. Walking down a busy street gushing from the face and soaked hands, you get a lotta stares. I got home, dad came out, brother pulled in, my friends showed up, we went straight to the hospital.

My lip was gushing, my clothes are blood soaked. My hands JUST got cleaned up. Thank god I didn't find a mirror before I got cleaned up. My face would have been wretched.

Went to the hospital. Got one stitch on my outter lip, which really wasn't damaged. The inside of my lip has a huge gash which they can't stich. Luckily I have all my teeth. The guy will be charged when caught. I JUST found out his name, nad notified the cop that came to see me in the hospital.

After tonight I have very little respect for people now...I'm just...scarred.

I'll describe more a little later. I'm still very shooken up about all this...

Every chair we've had for this computer breaks. And I'm alwasy the last one to sit in the chair. The last chair broke after a few years of use. I sat down in it, and I heard a loud snap, then I slowly started tilting backward.

This one just broke. It's a nice chair too...It's not even a computer chair, it's a living room chair. I noticed it getting a little loose. But I didn't think much of it. So I got up to get a drink, came back and plopped down on the thing when all of a sudden, SNAP, I FLEW backward and hit my head off the back of the chair behind me from the kitchen table.

My mind has been playing tricks on me. I've been changing and none of them are intentional. Well, maybe one.

Number 1) I broke up with Jess. I've never had the balls to break up with anyone before. I never thought I could do it. I did it, and pain ensued.

Number 2) I'm eating less and less. I don't know why. I'm just not hungry very much.

Number 3) I'm quitting airsoft. Those pictures with me and guns, that's airsoft. A game, the only game I'm good at.

Number 4) I'm starting to give a shit. I'm starting to care for people. I've never given a shit about anyone before

Number 5) In english class Thursday, I was cutting my arm with a sharp pair of scissors. I've never been stupid enough to purposely slice myself. Thank god my brain kicked in and said "You're and idiot" and I stopped before the cuts got deep.

Number 6) I'm getting thoughts of doing real stupid things. Ever see Jackass? Yeah, that's the kind of stupid things I feel like doing. Getting hurt sounds fun now.

Number 7) After 2 years of being straight edge, I'm drinking again. I told myself I would never drink again. That was two years ago. The past two weekends have been alcohol-based.

Yeah. my brain's acting funny. I think I'm growing up. Or maybe not.

Jess and I have ended our relationship. More specifically, I ended it. And I regret it. But it had to be done. Both of us needed a break. But the way things went sunday night, I don't think it's just a break, I think it's done and over with. I won't bother her anymore by going out with her again. I may consider it over time, but it's not likely. I'm sure she feels the same way. I just want to be alone now. DA is getting boring, so don't expect anything from me for a while. I'll browse now and then, but nothing special.
