I did three shoots this last weekend for Murder Lily [link] . Some of which is currently shown on the DeviantArt (the Ghetto Goth set) the other sets was a Bondage set with a Valentine's Day theme and a Industrial styled set shot in a metal-cutting warehouse.

This weekend we are looking into doing a new American Mcgee's Alice set for a new website venture that I'll be doing in the next couple of months.

Oh and January 7th, 2009 I will have another shoot shown on Murder Lily [link] staring the wonderful Alice Malice involving a Kimono and Hime bangs with a bit of a pinup styled flair to it. So go sign up and check it out. I already have 2 other sets of my work on there already one involving Alice Malice, the other involving the awesome alt model Jessica Nova.

For those keeping abreast of my personal life, I am still job hunting as unfortunately photography is still more my side hobby than my career. By trade I'm a Data Analyst and Buyer/Planner. Unfortunately given the current economic times as well as the current holiday times it's rather hard to get a real job that pays well enough for me to consider taking it.

That's okay though, gives me plenty of time to work on my photosets while I'm waiting for that one magical interview.

For the 2 - 5 people who actually care... don't worry, with a lot of pictures you'll just be seeing new and updated versions of them, sort of like a George Lucas style version (but without the stupid "Greedo shoots First" garbage.)

Basically the housecleaning will proceed as follows. I'll be going through my old work and determining if I like it or not, if it's favorited in DeviantART that gives it s a bit of safety meaning I won't delete it outright, I'll just modify it until I like it myself and then post the modified version. When I get rid of the ones I don't care for anymore I'll then go through what I have on my computer that I've never shared on deviantART and then start adding it to the gallery.

Basically, I want this site to be my best of my best work, and right now I don't feel like it's living up to that statement. So it's time to change that.

Also sold another set to Bella Vendetta but I saved about four pictures from it that I didn't sell in order to keep control of them as they turned out good but not as good as the rest of the set. [link]

The first of three Cosplay Deviant shoots I did has shown up on the site. It's the Dimensional Witch Yuuko from the XXXHolic manga and anime. A Spider Woman set and a White Queen/Black Queen set will also show up eventually. [link]

Next few weeks will hopefully be pretty busy for me and I'll have more to share on here sometime soon I'm sure. For Chistmas I'm getting a new flash kit and Portrait Profession 8 MAX so more tools for the trade equals more work out of me.

Unfortunately Florida insists on having a cold winter this year so I don't have as many options for outside shoots this year. Dammit!

Also in coming weeks I'm going to be going through my gallery here and doing a lot of organizing and updating. Some pictures I'll be getting rid of (and a few are already gone, don't worry nothing that no one had added favorites too). Basically I've improved worlds as a photographer and in post production since I started this gallery and I really want this place to represent my best works more than anything else.

Just makes me laugh.

I got my first light meter this last week (I've used them before but always borrowed them rather than owned them) and it's a Sekonic L-308s. So far looks like a good buy. Can't wait to use it.

I'll be working with Alice Malice and Jessica Nova this weekend and those two girls get FREAKY when they are working together so this is probably going to be a lot of fun.

Did a few new shoots with :idAliceMalice01: including the Raggedy Anne one that I posted today. Doing some more photoshoots this weekend (and probably the weekend after that). Also going to be doing some photography for :idAliceMalice01: for the Murder Lily website so that's exciting.

On the other fronts finally got my roleplaying group back together and played Mage the Awakening.

Cosplay shoot of Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill vol 1.
"Classy" shoot with a mild smoking fetish theme
Elf Nobility lost in the Woods

Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have all the new material up because I know I've seriously had a lack of updates coming.

All of them were with Model: Alice Malice. They were done in a red and black leather corset and nothing but rope.

So now I've decided I have to learn to do more with photoshop than the merger skill set I've been using. I've started to fool around mess with contrasts and layers and all the fun stuff that photoshop eats up memory for.

You'll be seeing alot of it show up in my pictures over the next few weeks.

This Thursday I did a shoot for Spooky Girls and a side shoot for my own personal portfolio. Unfortunately, I had been drinking sake the day previous and woke up with a hangover.

Waited all day for the thing to go away and I was feeling alright by the time the shoot started. However my hands did not.

Over half the shots had great composition but were so blurry that there were totally useless for anything other than holding my head in shame. So out of the 200 shots I took I have about 80 good ones.

I feel great shame over this as I feel I was very unprofessional to do the shoot with such shaky hands. But one thing for sure is that I did learn a good lesson from the whole thing and won't be repeating said mistake
