so today i bought a remote for my camera... i also bought new tyres for my mountain bike... and this afternoon i thought to myself "why not combine the two?" so i thought about going for a ride and taking depressing pictures of a town 3km away from my house.

then i realised it's snowing and it's blowing at 100kmph outside, so i flagged it. so while i was hanging out at home... i heard what sounded like gunshots, i had heard a lot of police sirens and ambulances racing around earlier, but that's normal around here so i thought maybe my neighbours finally had enough of each other... "hang on, that's FIREWORKS right?" on a dark and VERY WINDY night?

but there's no celebration today?

...wtf?

so i pulled the tripod out and attached the newly acquired remote so i could take some half ass'd shots, just to prove that i really did see random fireworks... i mean who would have thought there would be fireworks, RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW???



and it went on for 10mins so i missed an amazing opportunity... if i had been up on the hill i was going to climb, on this mad night with snow and sleet freezing my nose, fingers dropping off and camera dripping in dew... waiting for depressive views of sleepy towns... i would have been PERFECTLY PLACED for my very own personal fireworks display... not to mention it was in high winds... just look how the fire spreads in the wind!

but at least i got to try out the remote
