just a short update here...

i moved into a nice little flat in london close to my school.. had a great time furnishing my crib.. but the cleaning is just a big pain... but it was all well done.. im content and satisfied..

then i went on traveling with a friend.. first paris followed by madrid then asturias and finally barcelona...had such fun with my friends and just bit blue it all ended... good times ends fast no?

its london fashion week now and had some tickets to some of the show. it was impressive how designers can manage in such chaotic environment.. got backstage to one of the shows and i almost cant believe my eyes... clothing everywhere and naked models running around while changing.. quite a scene... but the finale is all that matters... all end well...

next week will be the beginning of my term at college... im very excited since after preparing my portfolio for soooo long im up for new challenges.. but mind you there will be over 600 students just in my course alone.. the competition will be stiff... hopefully i'll manage... we'll see...

anyways i've been always wanting to post my new deviation... its a pair of show shoes similar to moonlight.. will do soon because i can never get a good pic out of it... hopefully with my improved skills in photography i can do something about it...

I cannot thank enough for this suggestion... i would also thank all who watched, faved and complimented on my deviations... im really honored and flattered.....im so sorry i couldnt answer all the questions and comments of you guys cos i have little time but really i have read them all.. so a big THANK YOU to all of you...

sadly i went for an exam trip and did not open my dA on the day i got my daily deviation.... but omg i am really speechless right now!! you guys have no idea how grateful i am right now! THANK YOU!

here's my story again.. i've been designing shoes since i was about 15... my dad is a shoe designer and i've been interning in and out during my holidays in making and designing shoes.... i learn to make shoe samples and prototypes with the help of the craftmen and women in his company... i papercut each shoe design and sew them up then last them.. lasting are the toughest so usually i sort help with it especially court shoes.... i bead them at the end of the process...

my shoes are pretty much embellished as you all can see... they are of simple designs but i embellished them with crystals beads and pearls to be more outstanding.. i love creating crystal show shoes (that are fragile) like moonlight couture...

I am still interning in my dad's so some of the simpler designs in his website : [link] ... some shoes are made to fit though and it changes every season... if you are lucky u may find them in your country...

However i've grew up looking shoes and kinda got bored... yea i koe.... i love jewelry making more than shoe design and making.. as u all can see that those shoes i've made are very decorative... but i will make a show shoe once in a while for a collection... one-of-a-kind size 37 shoes (my size)...lol... its better of as my hobby no?

hence i've decided to study at Central Saint Martins in jewelry design... will be after i complete the foundation....sigh...long more to go...

now since is my holiday im making another crazy pair... but this time even crazier... you'll see....soon...

first i've been traveling a lot round europe for business and personal reasons and im actually going to italy tomorrow (i came back from prague 2 days ago)... i'll be going back to malaysia on the 30th. so buzy with the packing and all...

then school's been killing me!! so many assignments and blah... but now its my holiday and i can just breathe for a while...

fyi my decaying beauty collection are hanging half way thru... the casting went wrong and i need to cast it in brass instead! arggg! so frustrated and mad bout it... i will try my best to finish it asap... its just i have soooooooooo many things to do before school reopens..blah!!!!!

anyway my current project is a pair of shoe... been planning to make it for a month.. it will be quite similar to moonlight couture tho.. but the differences are the colour and the height of it.. and different materials too.. that i will post by beginning of june... i promise i will or u guys can ban me from dA! LOL...

so thats my life right now..in a state of mess.... but be patient.. good things make them wait.

and oh yea, its my 19th bday today. my wish is just to get everything done right.

ok i admit i have been lazy for the past 2 months for not submitting and updating.. the thing is there something wrong on my laptop and couldnt log onto dA... something about the cookies and only recently my friend manage to adjust it.. and yea hooray! (i've been using my workplace's computer to log in to just fave stuff..shhhhhh!)

submitting also is a problem for me as i have begun school and boy am i buzy!! its so tiring and really need time to get used to it after a year's break.. well at least i got to make friends in school... and oh yea... i got in to Central Saint Martins!! weeeeeeeee....

anyways my Decaying Beauty collection are almost done... sorry for the delay... give me a month or so to finish it... student life in london is quite tough.. assignments everyday!! how i miss making shoes and my country...

speaking of shoes.. i am (or will) making a pair similiar but more elaborate than Moonlight...hint hint... but that needs even more time...so stay tune...

i came back from london for a holiday a few days ago and realized how hot is my country...gosh i nearly melted... anyways sorry i've have not posted any of my works lately cos my stuff is everywhere... some beads and tools in london and others here.. cant really do much!

but anyways im doing a jewelry course so hopefully i'll be able to post some of my first metal jewelry.. its so fun to make and i cant wait when school starts again! its so cool to make them cos its really different to normal handmade jewelry as you manipulate metal...cant wait...

well i am in london now and forgotten to bring my memory card reader and so i cant really load all my images from my camera.. as for jewelry making...most of my tools are back in malaysia and couldnt really do much...... and that makes shoe making is even unthinkable... so yeah my latest deviation was taken a while ago and i need to transfer that file to another com cos my laptop has no internet connection...argg!

and college... they did not accept me after what i have did... well they did offer me a place but its for next year sept (which i need to wait for another year)... the main reason maybe my portfolio wasnt good enough and because i am a foreign student (the syllabus its different) i need to do a pre-foundation before i can start foundation next sept... oh well at least i got accepted (after all its Central Saint Martins)...i'll just wait and do some short course before my pre-f starts next jan..... yeap...

well its pretty cold here in london (i came from a very hot country) and not to mention EXPENSIVE!! i am nearly broke from buying basic stationary like files and folders...gosh!! and i cant sell my jewelry online because i dont know how to ship it out or mail it... can anyone in the uk help me??

the only thing i enjoy here is the museums here...its big and its free...which is the best part... and portobello market is wayyyy cool... like yesterday i found this vintage earrings from Swarovki in a stall where they sell random old jewelry for £2... and yes its genuine swaroski earrings from Swarovski (there's a stamp behind it).. weeeeeee!

anyway after all that solder controversy my mom brought me some sterling silver wire from hong kong and im sooooooooooooooo happy for it! finally i can wire wrap using something suitable! thanks mom!!

now im buzy making jewelry for absolutechic.net where they r going to sell my jewelry for me...dont forget to check it out next month..

i'll be doing 2 lines for them... the first will be the Innocent Brides bridal/prom collection and the Vintage Elegance colletion..... this is the first time i'll be selling my jewelry so wish me luck!

u see i discovered solder wire a week ago and im so impressed with its meallability and thickness... immediately my mind was filled with countless ideas to creat beautiful wire-wrapping jewelry like the ones created by so many telented dA jewelry artists... jewelry making wires were hard to find here so i was determined to use them...

so i brought back that almost finish coil of solder wire from the place i worked and started making those jewelry i loved so much that u see now in my dA page...some deviants complimented and some even featured my work... i was so proud of what i did....

however, i never knew the disadvantage of using solder wire until 1 deviant commented on the lead contained in solder wire...and other started commenting about it too... i was bewildered and thinking "omg i have influence people too use and wear some sort of poison!"....

then i started googling bout lead poisoning and just found out the solder wire i used was lead-free wires... i was relieved! but now after the scare i will not risk using any type of solder wire to creat jewelry ever again.. i'll start making wire jewelry when i find to suitable wire...

i am so sorry to cause such a stir and take back those advice i gave to people to use solder wire to creat jewelry... Purple Rose ring shall be my last piece of jewelry made using solder wire....tq...

well i went to 2 country for the past 8 days and my it was so hot there....

the first was hong kong... the temperature was okay since i was indoor most of the time... i went there for a jewelry fair and i almost couldnt got in cos i realised i've lost my id there....arggg!!! so i have to take the mtr back where i stay to get my passport.... well at least they let me in.... and wow im impressed by the jewels and bead supplies... they have all sort of things... beads, gemstone, findings.. u name it they have it.....

and i met some friends from dA!! crysalliscreations's debbie and starrydesigns's cindy were there too and i did a trade with debbie for some stuff.... thanks so much for the aquas! they r such nice people and passionate with what they are doing...go check them out!

and i've developed an obsession with labradorites after i saw a booth in the fair with those stones... well labradorites usually are look dirty with quite a lot of impurities but the ones i saw was so beautiful it glows like opals... the guys said it was the best possible labradorites and one string cost 350 us dollars................. and so because of the price i did not buy it and the feeling of regret just make me wanna scream!!!! arggggggggggggg!!!

so the fair lasted bout 4 days and then i traveled to china to source for other stuff.... well i can say that it was way different from hk.... as in culture, level of pollution not to mention the people's attitude.... i can just gave out a sigh....

the most funny experience in china for me was when im in a place in guangzhou..... me and my mum went to a pharmacy to buy some stuff and suddenly i need to go to the ladies...so i went looking for the loo myself when suddenly there's a guy was giving out brochures of a cosmetic product along the street.... i mean its pretty normal thing to do giving out brochures so i took one... and immediatedy that guy said oh i have a free facial ( sort of like testing the product)... of cos i said no nicely and told him im in serious need of use the toilet but he cant seem to understand the word "toilet" ( or maybe he thinks im trying to avoid him ) .... he said it will take bout 1 minute so i gave in.... and so he direct me to a seat and this lady beside him (without asking or anything) put some sort of scrub on my face and started scrubbing.... i was like wth!!????... and she started complimenting me and blah blah to convince me to buy their stuff... and i was begging them to let me go to the loo for god's sake!!! and then they said they would accompany me to the toilet after the testing....i was like .... and when they released me i immediately run to the pharmacy and left with my mum (fast)... and end up not using the toilet....... so never take anything in china for granted......i've learned my lesson...

well.... at least china have everything i wanted and thats about it....

just wanna inform u all that i will post my own photography here instead in my photography page because im saving the trouble of logging in twice on dA... hope u all dont mind and i promise i will post my shoes and jewelry works as usual....

im currently making my most elaborate shoe and after 2 weeks im still doing the beading... it is tough but hopefully i wont give up.... wish me luck!

p.s. i am go to hong kong for a short trip (a jewelry fair!) and hopefully i can meet my friend ~CrysallisCreations in person....... but no dA for a week...

u see...my flight began on Monday night about 7pm in Egypt and to fly to Malaysia its via Dubai then via Singapore again....so the flight to Dubai took 3 hours and the transfer to Singapore took 9 BLOODY HOURS!!!!!!! And did I mention it was bout 12 midnight??? sigh...so 9 hours in Dubai airport in the middle of the night doing nothing.....thank god there's 24 hours shopping there....but we r just solo tired we just dun bother bout the shopping anymore.... and so my flight to Singapore starts bout 9am and took 6 hours to reach....and its bout 8.30pm when I reach cos of the time difference... and tat transfer to kl took an hour before departing......sigh again! So its bout 1am on wednesday morning when I reach home......darn long flights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok....sorry bout the complain....now bout my trip...

I went to Dubai for bout 3 days and its really hot and dusty.....so hot until I just dun care how hot it is ...it’s just HOT! But Dubai it’s a cosmo city and the shopping malls are huge!!!!!! and there's a skiing centre with snow inside the mall....so its ironic coos its so hot outside but so cold inside... and the city is booming fast....and I mean really fast....its like the whole city is coming up simultaneously…. Everywhere is under construction….
Shopping is like heaven there as all big brands are there…..

After that we went to Egypt for the rest of the trip…. Well it’s not what I expect the greatest ancient civilization to be… the custom detain us for bringing shoe samples for our customer and we have the permission….and apparently we dun have permission from Egypt…..and so they check our luggage and took out everything and blah blah blah…..for 2 HOURS!!!!! Arggg!!!

Sigh….but them again Egypt is such a great place rich in history….the population is big there and its so congested…….but the people there were really friendly there…and the architecture were amazing!!! We went to see the pyramids and it was sooooooooo big!! The size of one block is twice the size of me and weigh 2 tons each! !! I really wonder how they do it 5000 years ago……it’s a sight to behold!! The nile cruise is great and the bazaar was just amazing..its so inspiring there….there’s so many nice thinks around like belly dancing costumes and Egyptian alabasters and lamps….so many in good price!!

So in conclusion:
Dubai :
the good – friendly people
- good shopping
- good desert tours
- open minded community
the bad - harsh weather

Egypt :
the good - sighseeing in ancient structures and building
- great collections of historical relics in museums
- friendliness in people
- good food
- nile cruise is amazing
- bazaar like Khan al-Khalili have nice shopping for
souvenirs for a good price
- clear sunset ( as there are no clouds )
- tight security

the bad - harsh weather ( it hot in the day and cold in the evening )
- dirty streets
- dirty toilets in public places
- streets not well maintained

so that’s all for my trip….I bought some corals and hopefully I can make something nice….

My weird habits/facts/dislikes :

1. i prefer hot than cold in weather...20 celsius day is consider cold for me and a 37 celsius hot day will be perfect for me...i dunnu why..

2. i have a 4 inches scar on my right thigh as a result of an hot iron...i happened 2 years when i was ironing my clothes and when i was turning off switch in front of me...it fell on my lap...it fell like just bout 2 seconds and the skin just open and i can see my flesh turning white...i have never use the iron since.....

3. i have never fallen in love or have crush with anybody in my life (i swear!!)....

4. i hate to buy clothes...and i dun have much either...i wear the same thing every 2-3 days for work and its not fancy...my jeans are at least 3 years (cos it still fits)....and the only time i buy clothes is when i really need to like new year or formal occasions....normal times i will go shopping for craft stuffs and beads....well now u koe i am a unfashionable fashion designer...hehe...

5. sometimes when im talking...my accent will change from normal to indian accent....maybe i was influenced by my friends...

6. my teeth was really bad before i had braces...it was all straight except my front tooth which was sticking out bout 40 degree...people used to call me a rabbit and it was so bad that once i was drinking out of a very thin glass cup...i broke it and the glass was stuck in my mouth....

btw, the singapore fashion festival was just awesome! i just went to the Vivienne Tam fashion show and my god the models were like coconut trees...arggg! they r like 2 heads taller than me and they need to wear 5 inches platform....darn those tallies!!!!!!!! and did i mention they r size negative 1 as well?? im like a fat pig compared to them!! so jealous of them!!! anyway i met Vivienne Tam in person and we had dinner together with my dad and shoe designer, Jimmy Choo...they were so kind as i expect them to be arrogant and all...wow...im so impress with their design in fashion as well as in person...i think becos of that they really succeed...

then the next day we went to Clarke Quay to have dinner beside the river...so heavenly! the whole place was like a city of a food court and there were so much to see and eat...good food and good ambience make me wanna just stay in singapore!!!!!!

those r just a quarter of the fun i had singapore....dont i sound like a promoter for singapore? hehe....
