2weeks ago i went to Live@MTV in Bari,Italy surprisingly - on friday i went to work & they told me 2morrow u're going to Italy as Press. Boom i went i came & 2 weeks passed hehe. So a couple of pics there, not so good ones of the stage but Ok! I had by birthday just a couple of days before.

Then Last weekend i went to Gozo(a small island near Malta) & took some photos there with my new lens! next week for Gozo again!

Got some news, the book i designed the cover for is almost ready, re-branding of a student org is also ready, posting fairly soon, did a DVD cover for "Meta Jintefa d-Dawl"(more in my Gallery) . Busy Busy at work, designed my first billboard, did a logo for a TV prog every thurs night advert advert adverts, school diaries.... My Cable35 band friends are back from a couple of weeks touring abroad, now its album time, this weekend i have a wee ones photoshoot for new clothes collection...

Back at home, i have major logo work, i'll post them when they're finalised, next sat i'm meeting with cable35(www.myspace.com/cable35band) for another photoshoot for the CD Cover, i've posted a submission for a design tender aswell, maybe i'll get a reply soon and be realllyyy busyier!!!

& whilst i'm pumpin my brakes on expenditure(infaddal lol) to buy a MAC i'm trying to speed up as much as possible my bicca HP, i've installed Suitcase to manage my fonts and it's true it came about 30sec faster for sure, cleaned up my HD & did some backup. I'm thinking of buying a sigma lens aswell

Also i'm thinking to change my site cause i dont really like the way it is... what do you think? [link]

Like today they gave me a list of about 40 adverts that have to either be designed from scratch, given ready from an agency, modified in some way and all of which set to be ready for print for a local weekly magazine and the deadline is thursday night. And till about 2hours ago i had about just 10 ready! apart from other advert i had to do for the Tune IN magazine! and apart from freelance work i have!

i was going to freak out mac's are a bit different than pc. don't take me wrong ta, until you get a hold of the short cuts and everything it's ok but when you have to work fast it slows you down. and all the phone calls and running after ppl to give you material.

Apart from all this i'm happy that all the staff was very welcoming, helpful, young & easy to get along with. They got used to my name instantly singing Bob Marley's song along with the screaming

as i go along i think i'll catch up with them. and my god i have great artists working with me and i didn't know that this company has such high profile clients.

All in all... it's great! Thanks to: Mark, Alan, Martin, Danica, Lisa, Ilwana, Vanessa, Dolores, Matthew, Frank, Mike! these i know till now there are others obviously!

well, i start my new job next monday! i heard it's going to be very busy as it's gonna be tune in week(balla hassle to finish the mag), issa naraw! this week i was also approached to start web designing as well, as some of you know i suck at html, flash hopeless so i tried dreamweaver for html as i heard it simple... in a couple of words; simple my ass!

i only managed to do gif's with freehand import them in dreamweaver copy and paste a piece of code that does the background colour and centres the image in the middle. as a result i did my website in approx 4hours of swearing! its no biggie just images and linking!

the text is what i had in mind at that moment so it might change. jista jkolli xi zball fl-ingliz ukoll... hehe.

Next up, i had an interview for a designer job with a big local company, it went GREAT the feedback for my portfolio was great aswell... i hv my shoe in probably as a full time but not 100% sure, i'll let you know dear deviant friends...

These last 2 weeks were crazy for me, i hove to finish my A levels and no Malta University as there's no course for me so i decided to find a job(see above) and save up to go to study Graphic Design in London, if i manage to save up A LOT OF MONEY for the 3/4 years i'll definitely go!

a a a yes i did some other minor works aswell, i'll post everything soon...

Bad News: Unfortunately the newspaper thing got cancelled due to lack of resources so that off

Good news: Last friday i had a photosession with Cable35 the fast-growing-ever-so-becoming-popular-young-punk-rock band which lasted just for 30min because in the middle of the shoot they recieved a call for a gig in bugibba and we had to cut the shoot short, but still i managed to take some good/great shots (will be posting soon). they are currently recording their debut single on radios and i did their cd cover as well(will be posting aswell).

Others: currently doing designs for a logo for a big new company in malta that will be doing parties, cultural events, exhibitions, importing stuff & music agency! so it's pretty big! we'll see about that..

+ve comments on the design by local printers.

I'm very happy with that but i'm afraid that i'm not going to manage all alone, maybe i'll find someone who knows how to use freehand and help me out (*wink... hint hint!)...
