Duo to recent difficulties of submissions and high rate of expired requests, Today I have demoted all senior members who have been inactive for more than one month. Nobody was kicked, but inactive senior members are now regular members. If any previous senior member feels that it is unfair, please send me a PM with inactivity explanation and why you should be promoted again.

I would like to let you know that Ivo (the original founder) has decided to promote me to founder as he has been very busy with his work and isn't getting the chance to be as active on the group he built. As of right now, I fully manage and operate the group along with senior members and Ivo on my side.

I have some plans to change a few settings and improve the senior members as half of them aren't active. I will be recruiting professionals in the field to help with the submissions and voting process.

I am pleased to announce new changes going around with DesignSpot. our group has been growing and reaching new levels. Thus, We have decided to expand the group and give every member a chance to get more involved.

As you know, the contest for our group's new avatar ended a while back and we are proud to announce the winner!

A jury of active group contributes have nominated the top 5 logos, it was not an easy decision but fortunately we managed to choose the top logos which best represent our group.

We were happy to see a lot of great submissions and wished all would win, However, only one design is eventually picked and it was the public's choice.

I would like to state that the decisions were purely fair and hopefully there would be a better luck for the rest in future contests!

As you may already noticed, our group avatar looks a bit boring and strange now (it was a 2 minute project just to not show the default avatar). Because we want to present our group in a nice way to the rest of deviantart, we need a new, better group avatar.

Here we go with the rules for the contest:
The competition will run from now (the 5th March 2010) for two weeks. The absolute deadline for last entries will be the 19th March 2010 at 18:00 CET.
The winner will receive a DeviantArt premium membership for 3 months.

that's an awesome day for this group because :iconAzizNatour: upgraded this group to a Super Group! We have more control about the Widgets on the Groups page, some more features like Journal Skins and additional Widgets for the Groups page and something really useful: the possibility to use custom groups . Some weeks ago I announced that I want to change some different things into the group. Today is that day.

Overview of changes:
1. Contributors can vote who can join the Contributors group. (This is an experimental feature, if the quality of Contributor skills will decrease heavy I will turn it off)
2. Every Contributor is allowed to vote for or against other Contributors Submission entries. Actually a submission needs 7 positive votes to become accepted.
3. Every Member of the group is now allowed to submit Group:+fav:'s. Every :+fav:submission needs 7 votes by Contributors to become accepted.

1 month ago I founded this group and now we are already a small community of really talented designers. I'm writing this Blog entry because I want to change some different things in the future.

The first point:
At the moment I`m the only one in this group who can decide who is allowed to join as Contributor and also wich submissions get accepted. In the future I want to build a little bit more democracy in the group. The possibilities would be:
-every Contributor is allowed to vote wich submission gets accepted

We are now a bit over 50 Members. Thats great but we could be much more now. It would be great if some of the Contributors would submit their art to the groups gallery to increase the popularity of the group.

How to:
-Go to the Gallery Tab here on the grouppage
-Click on the Button "Submit to this Gallery"
-Click "Contribute an Existing Deviation"
-Choose your Deviation and click ok
