So I've been sick (again) over the past few days. It's something like chicken pox, and I just have to wait it out. I saw a few doctors yesterday, and the dermatologist was able narrow it down to two possible viruses, and gave me stuff to help me be comfy. The pain was the worst yesterday evening (sooo painful) and, mercifully seems to have passed. It was the worst on my palms, and the bottoms of my feet, so I couldn't do much. I slept *a lot* last night, since the constant pain stopped. Feeling loads better now. My face looks a bit better... the past few days, I've looked like a meth addict, or a "before" pic on an acne med commercial That seems to be fading. Just need to wait for the polka dots and soreness to go away.

Pics are up of the longboard I have painted, which some of you out there have already seen in person

Wow... okay so I looked at this piece on my computer at work (just now cause it's slooow and I'm bored and by myself > &gt and it looks totally different here than it does on my mac at home 0_o I now see what anotherartgeek was saying about lightining it up a bit more. I did a bit the other day, but I see I need to some more. It acctually has a lot of detail that is *compleatly* lost on this screen. That sucks. The challenges of digital art. I shall fix it and repost.
Oh yeah... happy belated Kitties Day! Yesterday we got a pair of orange kitten brothers (Sam and George). They are super cute =^..^=

Did a new quick digital painting of Gmork from The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Inspired from reading Beowulf, particularly Grendel & the descriptions of him. You can all read the blah-blah about it on the description of the piece. Gmork is an interesting character because he is really an anti-hero, going through all that the hero goes through, but mirrored, and destructive. I won't get into it, for those who haven't read it, but the description of Gmork entering the world in this book is so interesting and vivid... love it!
Also... I need to scan my prints. Opened up my print portfolio for a sec last night after a more thorough cleaning of my room...forgot about the lovely smell of prints... forgot how nice some of them came out... only looked at one or two. Gotta go through them and scan them and put them up here. None of them are too huge, so I don't think it will be to hard...

So I put up a few (mostly) random photos yesterday,to those of you who didn't already notice. New silly hats, toes of pinkness, and the only real art piece (of mine) is my newly finished bag. I really like it, and am glad I figured out what to put on it and finished it. I really like the image... based on part of a woodblock print I did a few years ago... just changed it a bit, added some Christian symbolism. Anotherartgeek says it's very me, and I totally agree ^_^. I'm going to Alaska at the end of this week, and I wanted to finish the bag before then, so yay for meeting goals! The original print is about 11x13ish... need to either scan it or just take a pic (all my other good prints too) and put them all up here. Another thing to put on my "things to do when I get back form the cruise" list. Things have been quite busy for me the last several weeks (all month actually). Too much stuff : / not all good. The cruise demarcates then end of almost all of that, and I will have more time for my own life after that ^_^.

I've been way to busy with stuff lately and have not been doing much art at all... and not nearly as much as I want. I anticipate having more time after the first week of July (after my friends wedding and cruise to Alaska (yay)), but fir now, I have just decided to make time for it. Well, tonight seems like less sleep is the way to go about accomplishing that. : P I haven't been up this late in a while, and it's because I have been engrossed in working on a drawing for my next painting XD Hooray! I've been thinking about and sketching this one for a while, and it has changed a lot since my first thoughts on it. It is always interesting to me to see where my pieces go... how they become what they are really meant to become... the meaning reveals itself and changes as I go along... often giving me insight on where I was when I started, and where I am now. This one seems mostly solidified... but not completely,so I look forward to seeing where it will go. It's finally coming together though, and I am caught up in it and excited about it, and that feels so good. I need to focus on that more and make it more of a priority that it has been these past months.

I think I have also decided what to put on my bag that I bought (it's a nice blank canvas).

I also will be posting some of my old prints from a few (4ish) years ago. Intaglio, wood block and mono prints. There are some good ones.

Guuuuuh... I go sleepies now. Post pics later.

Huzzah! I've got my main body of work all up. These are all the fabulous professional photographs of my work, and I'll add some non-pro pics of my more recent works, as I go along. I may even put in some pics of things in progress (i.e. sketches of upcoming paintings, pic of paintings as they are being painted, etc.).

I've put all these up with minimal descriptions (size and medium), with my plan being to let people decide for themselves about it and take what they will from it (which I love). Please let me know any thoughts you have and would like to share about any of my pieces. I'll be going back in periodically and giving in depth descriptions about what each painting is all about. My art work is not about video games, but rather uses video game imagery as it's language, to speak of other, deeper things. (Mental note... post artists statement > > ) My artists statement will be up here soon. ^_^;

Questions and comments are always welcome! I guess that is all for now!
