They call them dog days, those days when the weather is between raining and soggy warm. Only...right now it seems like we're living cold dog days in june.
I'm about 14 days back from the baltic states of Estonia and Latvania. Even more cold there.
Not much to do over there, except looking for rundown old wooden houses and going from one teahouse to another. Having long boring afternoon sleeps in inpersonal hotelrooms.
Going through tourist-vouchers to check out if there isn't any cool gig somewhere. Getting anoyed by the lack of food quality. Getting partially racist because of the Russian drunks and bums in the streets. Anyhow, my wife and me survived but it wasn't the trip to do.
Next time better.
One advice: modern art museum KUMU in Tallinn. That rocked...

Almost two days busy taking pictures of the pages of my travel dairies, the ones I made in India, Jordan, Thailand, Cambodja and Cuba. What a mess! All this fuzz about cleaning up the colours, getting enough light and making them sharp.
I'm not into photoshop, so it's someting I do with some freeware called Ken ward's makeup. Only thing: it's not ready to clean up 36 photos in line.
I don't know if there'll be anyone who want to take a look at it.
After all, travel diaries are short stops in time, frozen travel memories. Some of them can be interesting for someone else, most of them sad souvenirs of my own-too big- ego.
Let's see...

Bwah, Belgium's cold and wet. Snow everywhere and people seem grey after Cuba. At eleven PM the streets are empty while in Cuba everyone leaves his house then...
Grey mentality here, everyone seems to be on Facebook now, which seems a bit sad.
I wanna scream: get outside, have a life, get outside to play, to annoy, to dó something!Búuuut the only thing that happened to me last week was a gigantic quarrel about a posted message on Facebook in which I critisized the mentality and beauty of
my art school collegues. Though thing anyhow: who burns his ass must sit on the blisters, they say here.So I'm totally at ease now, no Facebook chitchat around me anymore!

Back from Cuba, where every tourist turnes out to be a revolutionary's milking cow...
Where the food sucks because you think of all the dirty things you've seen in the kitchen while they were preparing it...
Too hot to be comfortable, too windy to be at home too wet to feel at ease.
A journey that brings you to the brim of your finnacial capacities, and further.
God (or whoever), it feels good to be back in Belgium!
