Well, here I am, back again. My last entry was 3 years, 4 days ago. That's a lot of time to go by.
I've hopped around the country like a gypsy for about two and a half years now, and I finally settled in Louisiana, a place I never ever imagined myself being. I always guessed I'd never find myself this far south, i never thought id ever step foot in texas.
But I also never thought Id stop drawing.
It took a long time, and i think all I needed was to settle down somewhere long enough to stop seeing everything in blurs.
So Im back, and drawing, and painting...
Im really excited about that.

Let's see what I can do.

Im getting a chinsey portfolio together to give to this small cafe in the downtown area of my town. Right now they just have a bunch of old show posters stapeled across the walls so i figured this would be a perfect time to submit a portfolio. I've been shelling out some amazing work on cheap materials like scraps of plywood and cardboard. Each peice is amazing though. I owe the cheap material bases as an idea from meglef! Im in love with meglef. He doesnt know it but he makes my heart throb because his work is so amazing.

I'll keep you posted if my work ends up on those walls...

I almost had to drop my Basic Drawing class because of my lack of money for supplies. An old art instructor that taught at my high school somehow heard my sob story and got in contact with me today, "You didnt drop you class already, did you?" I hadnt, i planned to do so today. It was a close call. She ended up picking up everything for me out of her, and her collegues classrooms, and gave me $20 for anything else i might have needed. I was all sorts of happy.

Im taking a basic drawing class at the college to fine tune my foundation, and help me with my transition from the evil evil "grid".
It also helps to keep me active in my art because right now i have an average of about 10 hours each weekday full of classes.
It's pretty obvious which peices in my gallery are from the class, black and white drawings, simple...BASIC [wink]
My favourite one is Blind Contour Drawing: Sax.

~ill be posting my past assignments (shoes), the rest of my current assignment (blind contour and negative space drawings), and any future assignments throughout the quarter.
