I think the Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2012 correctly, because the fourth Twilight movie should come out around then, in which case the massive hype will create such an epidemic of bad taste that it triggers a worldwide mass suicide, leaving only Twilight fans to crown Stephanie Meyer as queen of the world and swallow all of humanity's achievements in an inferno of bad-fanfic quality writing.

By the way, Edward's sperm shouldn't be living to get Bella knocked up. Try talking your way out of that one, Stephanie.

I fucking hate myself. Why?
I heard a certain asshole, a kid who everyone avoids because he interrupts their class or conversation to inject his own bigoted opinion, going on about gay marriage and how if we allow that, "what's stopping us from allowing pedophilic or interspecies marriage". I've been thinking of all the ways I could bring him suffering, because death would be far too nice for him, and yet I pussy out of even telling him off, because I know I'll only make a fool of myself. But why the hell should that matter? People like him, who make up about half this cesspit of a school, are the reason why I'd definitely love to blow my brains out if I didn't have a future to love and live for, who are the reason I'm treated like less than a person, and yet I can't even stand up to that? I don't know what anyone could admire about me, because I fucking failed myself like always.

I'm up to episode 15 on Death Note (haven't watched any in a few days, should probably start again), and I've finished Gravitation (warning: it's shounen-ai). Let me just say this: GRAVITATION'S ENDING HAS THE LEAST AMOUNT OF CLOSURE I'VE EVER SEEN IN ANY ENDING.

EVER.

All the episodes except the last one were great, and really pulled you into the story. In particular, it does a really good job of making cliffhangers really suspenseful. Pretty much every episode ends with a character saying something that causes a huge twist and leaves you thinking OH SHIT. If I had to watch this on its original TV airing of one episode a week, I would probably go insane, so it's a good thing I could blow through it in two days thanks to the Internet.

Another appealing thing about Gravitation is its level of humor probably not seen in most other shounen-ai/yaoi series. Do you love it when Edward of FMA goes insane when someone comments on his height, or when Al makes a particulary exaggerated yet lovable expression? You'll see a lot of that in Gravitation, especially from the first band manager (and later producer) of the main character's band, who quickly became my favorite character. The show is almost worth it just for him.

But the last episode... god. Not only does it make no sense whatsoever, but does not tie up any loose ends in the ongoing story, nor does it leave you feeling like the series is actually complete. Does Yuki finally stop trying to disappear and escape his past, and accept a relationship with Shuichi?

You fucking tell me. It's like the last episode isn't even there.

As for Death Note, YES. I love how thought-provoking this series is. If one thing is clear to me so far, it's that L and Light are REALLY FUCKING SMART. And whenever Light finds a hole in L's offensive that he can exploit and gives that evil grin, you can't help but grin too.

I thought the introduction of Misa might have a bad effect on the series when I learned about her character, but she only manages to add more depth and suspense to the story. I can't wait to keep watching this.

Also, for those of you looking for a way to easily read whatever manga you want without having to have all the money to read them, Manga Fox is your answer. [link]
This site has almost 5000 series, including full scanlations of Japan-only manga, all easily readable without any registration. Two particularly great aspects of this site that place it over any other manga site (like OneManga):

1) Manga Fox lacks the hypocritic "family-friendly" mantra of OneManga, which is actually total bullshit, because the only thing OneManga outlaws is shounen-ai/yaoi. AND YET OneManga allows Mai-HiME, which basically has straight sex every other page (source: Cory), without any question, but not Gravitation, which doesn't have anything more explicit than kissing? That's not family-friendly, that's just homophobic. With MangaFox, pretty much anything is allowed.

2) The sheer selection of MangaFox is amazing, definitely beating OneManga. In addition to all the popular titles, you'll find tons of manga on MangaFox you've never heard of, which can turn out to be great. (like G-Senjou no Neko >:3 )

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED

THURSDAY:
We all met at Cory's house and

's sister gave us BROWNIES shaped like cupcakes. omg...
then when we got there we waited 2 HOURS in line for Cory and his dad to pre-register since they bought their pass on line. fun! then we spent the rest of the night either in the pool (not without being thoroughly molested by Sora for taking his Super Soaker!) and exploring the hotel. We then invade the karaoke room for cookies and soda before getting the fuck out of there. You would too if you were faced with hearing two Narutards sing DO YOU BELIEEEEEEEEEEVE IN LOVE LOTS OF LOVE

FRIDAY:
HOLY FUCK the con actually starts now. This time, at OUR registration line, the con spirit is in full effect. Cosplayers abound, including:

-Gangsta Naruto behind us, who brought a boom box to the registration line and talked about Step Up 1 and 2 while dancing to hip-hop
-Sims, whose only costume was a green diamond above their heads
-FOX AND WOLF, they even did the right poses when Cory took a picture! <3
-REBORN AND LAMBO
as well as hundreds of others.
There was also a gang of about 20 fursuiters, including Ratchet, which was amusing.
Then the dealer's room opened, holy shit. We were lucky and had gotten a sneak peek the day before, so we knew what to run to when it opened: the Pokemon plushies. Namely Darkrai, but Cory claimed it. <__<;; The room was ridiculously huge, at LEAST 25 dealers with tons of stuff you probably wouldn't find anywhere near here. When my shopping was done, I got:

- A SHAYMIN PLUSHIE <3 (oh my god is it soft)
- Figures of DIALGA and PALKIA which are now on top of my computer
- REBORN! #1 manga. It is soooooo good, I recommend watching the anime or reading the manga RIGHT NOW.
-Two REBORN! posters and a Sonic Rush Adventure poster.

Cory just bought the convention's entire stock of One Piece merchandise.

Then we found the game room which had a bunch of awesome stuff, like BEATMANIA IIDX, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Mario Kart Wii, an NES with the Nintendo World Championships cart, and DreamMix TV World Fighters.

We went to the WORLD'S LARGEST MCDONALD'S which was 1 block away from the hotel. You know how there are combos you can order which have numbers? This McDonald's doesn't fuck around. It goes all the way up to #33, because it has stuff like Turkey Wraps and Mushroom Swiss Burgers. Oh man. Me, Cory, and Sora went to the pool at 3AM, and it was 11 FEET DEEP at the deep end. This pool doesn't fuck around either.

SATURDAY:
OH MY GOD THE RAVE IS TODAY. That seemed to be the general feeling throughout the con on Saturday. SO we lived in the game room again, then went to hurry for dinner before Gin-Tama come on. It was then that we just realized there's a PANDA EXPRESS within walking distance. (In case you are unaware of Panda Express, it's the best Chinese restaurant, and by extension, the best restaraunt ever made.) Guess what? It's about the same prize to eat there as it is to eat at the World's Largest McDonald's. And Orange Chicken is better than anything McDonalds can throw at you, but at least we ate there once.

Though we missed Gin-Tama, we were still in time for the main event: the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Tournament. SO MANY PEOPLE entered, and Cory had prepared his team of six shiny blatantly-hacked Arceus, despite my repeated warnings that he must have brain damage if he thinks they'd let him use ANY ubers in a tournament.
Cory and I both got our asses kicked in the first round of the tournament. My team was Luxray, Lucario, and Blaziken, and I didn't even KO ONE of the other guy's three Pokemon. :<

The tournament lasted 5 HOURS.
5 HOURS.
And guess what the winner won for all this hard work?
A shirt that says " No, you did NOT win The Game", 2 posters, a Mudkip hat, and something else I don't remember. It's like they looted some dead weeaboo's body and offered what they found as the prize.

Oh and the rave sucked. Yeah it was huge and all, but it basically looked like weeaboo hell, with Narutards forming chains and running around the room in darkness and flashing lights, surpassing unreachable levels of annoyingness. We got out of there within 60 seconds.

AFO was really fun, and I'll definitely go next year if someone takes me. I never wanted it to end. :>

-I fell off the back of a golf cart onto the street. IT HURT
-Both Sora and Cory threw up. Sora did it for lulz, and Cory... just threw up. Twice.
-Tetsu, one of Cory's 33 cats, jumped into a trash can
-MATT

showed up despite being allergic to said 33 cats. Surprisingly he wasn't affected at all. Wild MATT used BENADRYL! It's super effective!

We finally got there, almost an hour early, because we expected a huge line where they sell the admission badges. There were probably about 50 people there total. NOT the 1500 they were expecting on the website! (Though I did go on Friday, but still...)

So, after meeting up with my friend Steven and his friends (which made up like a third of the attendants) we immediately ran to the dealer's room.

...SO MUCH AWESOME STUFF. There were Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, FMA, and FF7 Advent Children goodies, plushies, posters, wall scrolls, BADASS WALLETS, keychains, figures, Pocky, rings, necklaces, the coolest lighters ever made (I felt like getting one, they were so shiny, even though I'll never smoke). I ended up getting a huge FF7 Advent Children calendar, 2 Bleach posters, and an L keychain. :3
It wasn't too expensive, I spent $16 on all that.

After going to the auditorium (they were showing AMVs) the rave opened. There were only like 12 people in it, and they all seemed to be godly with waving glowsticks. It was fun. AND they played Eyes On Me (Almighty Mix) from Final Fantasy VIII! :F I never beat that game, but ohhhhh man that song is awesome. I then proceeded to disgrace it by cranking dat Soulja Boy to it. (the only dance I can do, due to its hilariousness)

We went back to the auditorium to watch a Slayer OVA (never heard of Slayer before, but it was good), then went to the game room, where they had Guitar Hero III, 2 TVs with Brawl, and King of Fighters something. I saw Adrian from school there, greeting him with a B. EVANS

The rest of the convention was basically me and my friends hanging out outside, or in the dealer's room. I took pics of some guy in a raccoon suit, and a lake with a lot of green stuff in it. Overall, the con was smaller than I thought, but I had a LOT of fun, and I met lots of people. Now I just need to go to Megacon next year. : >
