I got an art work request for a co-worker. She want s a wolf picture done for her boyfriend to put in his room.
Right now I know it's to be 16" by 20" and a wolf but I'm still thinking of wither to do it in watercolors or colored pencil. I'm going to do some thumb-nails to show her friday and by that time be able to give her a price.

My mother, my sweet mother, gave me some money to help buy a new tablet and with this money I think I'm going to get this: [link]

The pen feels a little funny but I guess I'll get use to that. It also comes with three art programs, one I know can go on my mac,

updating: I've got drawing to scan but as of right now, no scanner. So I'll keep working, post a drawing 'dump' page next week and hopeful get some stuff up the following weekend. If I do go get this tablet, I'll do some computer only art and post that.
Things that will be part of the 'dump': Jim and Rick profiles, BF group pic, army fox, a map of BF's part world and a drawing of the BF base of operations.

That said about BF, are there any rebels or armies that need some hired guns? For chapter 4

I'm still getting use to markers but I can color something much faster.(pro) But once I put the color down, thats it(con).

I was going to try to do some small watercolors but I can't find my tubes of paint, found everything else, :rolls eyes:

If I did small commissions, like watercolor, marker, ink or colored pencil, would you guys buy one? These would be ones I would send to you not just post here at dA.

It's final happen.
My tablet has gone to the big tablet place in the sky.
The wire has been bent so many times at it's base that it no longer connects.

I've been looking up ways to replace the wire but it looks like it will cost just as much to replace as to buy a new one.

I've been so worried about looking for a job 700 miles from where I live, I haven't been doing much art or writing.
(I also need a new scanner....)

Right now I'm just drawing random furries, inking and saving for when my scanner has a good day. That said, I need some subjects, for practice. If you want to 'volunteer' , just say 'I' and I'l draw you character doing something, not big but the first thing that pops into my head* when I see them. If you don't have a personal character just tell me who you want to see done. (and tell your friends, the more the merrier.)

My step-mom seem to think it's her job to force me to have a 'social' life. She's 'worried' her youngest son will never have one and uses me as an example. I don't care about that, but they were just having it out and she claimed I wasn't happy. I (yellling) told her, she shouldn't assume wether I was happy or not,
I'm happy, I love life the way it is (minus the money problems) and am not looking for a guy right now. I WORK forty hours a week with 6 kids plus extra hours outside of work to get stuff together. SO yes, I use the weekends to relax, not to spend money doing stuff I know I won't enjoy.
I'm also shy, very very shy. It takes me a month to get used to new parents, so suggesting I go to church and meet with a group of strangers, not a good idea. (Plus I'm not a big church person, and meetings with such people don't always go well.)
Also, I have friends. We don't go partying every weekend, but we do talk and plan to do stuff every once in a while. Everyone I know works hard and are too tried to do much afterwards. Plus many of us can live an hour or so from each other, so meeting each other can really only happen after work(and we get off at different times, yahdah yahdah)

Sorry to talk your guys ears off, but I just needed to get that off my chest.

The problem I had with the group picture is fix. Happy. very very happy.
Going to color it this weekend, so I can use tomorrow and Friday to write. Maybe I'll get both 2nd chapters done, maybe.
All my Christmas shopping is done and I've got two more to make, another angel picture for my friend at work and a scarf for someone else.

finally got a good night sleep.

Got some not so happy news at work. We're doing class move-up and I'm get two(twins), three-year olds who are nowhere near potty trained and don't like to litusen. At least I won't get more than 6 kids till they are both trained. I heard their parent can be a$$e$ too. lovely (sarcasm).

My mom agreed to rewrite my two first chapters while I start on the next ones plus two short stories(making sure to do on my computer). I love my mommy!

While working on a OC meme at work, a number of co-workers saw my characters, two dragons, two humans and a number of arthros. Instead of giving a weird look and looking away, they commented that they like my drawings. For where I live, thats a little weird, but I'm not complaining,

better news, my window is fixed after a month of waiting. Now they have to come back and fit a new frame but at least I won't be waking up with a running nose anymore.

I'm also trying to get both my mom and dad to post their work here. My dad takes really good photos. My mom is handy with paintshop(?).

Had a great party on sunday, had dinner with my family on Monday and went home only to find that some kids (most likely teens) had thrown large rocks through five of the front windows.
Two went to my room, which only had one window and now it's boarded up till they can fix it. Needless to say, I'm not at my house right now but staying with my dad, (so no new work).
The other rooms were her son's bedroom(one landing on the bed) and the computer room where my housemate was sitting. Thankfully she has thick curtens that slowed down the rocks, but lots and lots of glass.


I am happy because my step-mom got me a nice set of inking pens and a small drawing book. She made me a ice cream cake with a stenced dragon on top.

So I went to Memfur Con this weekend. that was fun.
Couldn't go Friday because of work, but spent all day Saturday, mostly walking around and bought a few things. Got to hear a guy sing "Still Alive" alternative version called "Still Offline", got to see people and furs smash a laser printer (think Office Space) and got Ice cream. Met a lot of people, not going to remember their names this time around, think I saw the names of a few people I know online but didn't see anyone.
On Sunday, I sat in Artist Alley, nervous as anything and I think the girl who invited me was getting anode with me or not. Learned about Con Badges and though this did my first EVER commission. Got a number of comments on the art I brought. Took a number of pictures, so I'll most likely make a collage out of them.

I plan on going next year and I plan on trying to go to others around the south US.

Also did a number of drawings while I was in the alley so I'll be working on those.
Got the first Black Fox chapter done, will put up as is, so if anyone wants to edit it...

Bic markers are cool and cheap.

I am a rare person, I'm not in debt. I shouldn't have any money worries, but when I get a sudden increase on one of my bill, I still freak and worried if I can cover it. *sigh* I talk aobut this kind of stuff at work and some people are like 'good for you, you're doing better than me'. I guess I should think myself lucky, even though I'm working lower class, I can afford to go to the doctor if I had to, I can buy food and gas and I have a place to live. It blows my mind when I go to baby sit some of my kids and they live in mansions. o.0 If I had that kind of money, I would be living on my own, in a small house, enjoying life as my own art teacher. Yeah, when I win the lottery with a ticket I never buy.

Ok, down to some art related stuff. (I've got artist block)

One: I've got too many ideas roaming my head for me to get any work done. I would like to get some feedback of some of these idea, so would people be willing to read though A written deviation with a summery of each story idea? yea, no, maybe?

other thing: Contest, maybe my first. It would be asking artist to draw one or all(4) my human character for one of my stories. winnings are: 3 month sub, a color drawing of choice and a line art of choice.

I told her that I like doing art and working with computers in art. This was the right answer but I'm sure she was shaking her head later. The thing that pissed me off about all those classed in that degee was that they wanted you to have 'fun' doing the work but not funfun. If I had stayed on that track, I probley would have come out hating art all together. Some of my teacher told me I had great ideas but my craftmenship 'suckass' is so many words.
Untill I join dA, I didn't really care about the end, I just liked working on the art itself. Now I have other artist to compair my work to and though I may never make something that looks like a poster and sell for $500, I'm happy.


I was looking at the other contestans for 's contest and I thought, those are cool, great ideas. I didn't, unlike a few years ago(total noob), think 'oh may, mine is soooo much better' or 'mine suck, why am I doing this'.

I happy with my work, which is why I'm entering contests, to do something diffrent with what I can do.

I just made myself feel really good.
