I have made it a point to watch all of the series I own at least once in both English and Japanese. I'm probably not going to be able to pull any of the ones I wanted off. With any luck, I might be able to find something while digging around Halloween Express... if I ever manage to get there. They do have an online store, but it's easier (and more fun) to work with what I can actually touch and examine before buying.

I'm not discouraged. The Domon Kasshu costume took nearly three years to complete.
It seems a bit early to even start on a costume for my favorite holiday, but to be honest, I usually start nearly six months in advance. This year I have several ideas that I'd like to do, but I haven't really been able to do them for various reasons.

At the top of my list is the Werewolf from Hyper Police, Batanen. His outfit is easy for the most part, except for the leather jacket. More specifically a bomber jacket. I was hoping to find one during a large yearly yard sale on highway 60, but the only one I found was way too small. I have big shoulders.

Next was Regal Bryant from Tales of Symphonia. First difficult hurdle, finding greaves. Maybe I'll get lucky when I go to Halloween Express in a couple of weeks. Second, my natural hair has the right curl, but isn't long enough or blue. I can solve that with a wig. Third... I'm not really in good enough shape for that one. Six months and a personal trainer would be required.

I'm thinking about dusting my Nabeshin costume off again, but I'd feel a little guilty recycling that one with no improvements.

I'd also like to try for Gai from Gaogaigar. ... I'll need a long red wig and aluminum foil... lots of aluminum foil.

Any thoughts?

Anyone with the required bomber jacket, please contact me.

In the mean time, trades and requests are still, as always, open.

One last thing. The only pageview count I actually care about is coming up... eventually. I'm at just over 6K now. Who knows how long it will take to hit all 7777.

The only functioning electronic device in the entire house right now is my notebook computer... you know, the thing I plan to replace.

The storm has been going most of the day and I've been kicking back, watching Guyver in Japanese (because I can). Between discs 3 and 4 I decided to have some mac 'n cheese. While boiling the water, the lights flicker and boom. Darkness. The heavy rains had already ended, and it seems that this was just an after effect.

Oh well, I decided to burn a little battery power (and hope the main is restored shortly) by hopping on the net.
For those who don't know, Windows 7 is coming out on the 22nd of October. If I time it right, I can pull the whole "Frankenstein" act as I build the new computer I've been planning, putting off, replanning, putting on hold, waiting for a new OS (Vista does not make me happy), and finally planning again.

Normally I'm pretty patient about things like this, but my notebook (the computer I use for EVERYTHING [photoshop work included]) has just about reached the end of it's life cycle. It's served me well over the past five years (give or take a couple months), but it's just about time to retire it and get a replacement. Most would have already done so by now, but when I bought this one, it was one of the more powerful models and though no longer on par with many new machines today, it hung in there for a long time. I still laugh at some of the 'Wal-Mart' specials. This old clunker still has 'em out classed.

Got some of the fanart that was practically demanded in my previous poll in the works. Naturally I'll start with the fan service, but I'll get the comedy done soon. Got a joke lined up that ~Lord-Monkeyhawk helped me with in the planning. Just gotta get it drawn.

Still no recent word about Oddlots. If I don't hear anything by next week, I'm gonna bring the exclusive drawing over to this gallery. I got a message from Raven saying that the cause is being investigated.

In the mean time, I guess I'll repost the AnimeNEXT post here since I can't refer anyone there.

*as posted on Oddlots*

I apologize for not posting the con report sooner. I've been handling a bout of the 'Con Crud' and fixing the pictures. The red eye was really bad in a bunch of them. Over the three days, I took over 100 photos, but I've trimmed it down to a few of the best.

As for the trip, I guess I'll start with the day before. On Thurs. I got up at about 3:30 AM and watched some MythBusters while I waited a bit before waking my traveling companions. We were out of the house by 5 and well on our way on the 661 mile journey... which became more like 681 because we got lost. My MP3 player and iTrip (universal because I don't own an iPod) made the journey somewhat pleasant. About 14 hours later, we pulled into the hotel, unloaded our luggage, and got lost in Somerset, NJ while on the hunt for food. Eventually we found a SubWay and took our sandwiches back to the hotel. My Sub tasted pretty good with some of my tea after the long day of driving.

Friday, the first day of the con... we got lost again. It took an hour and a half for us to give up and go back to the hotel to get directions. Really it was probably a blessing because even when we found the convention center, most of the activities were still closed. The Dealer's Den didn't even open until after noon. During the day I got to meet up with a friend of mine from the old NSider forums.

Throughout the convention, I wanted to try the karaoke, but I wasn't going to make an ass of myself if I couldn't bring a friend with me... unfortunately I was the only one who could sing any of the songs available from memory. There weren't any crutches like a screen showing the words.

Seeing most of the Disgaea cast was pretty cool. As was the dark Link and a Redshirt.

I missed the concert on Friday evening because I had no idea how long it would take my best friend to eat at the IHOP. By the time everyone was finished, the con was closing for the evening so we went back to the room to rest up for another day.

The day's con swag included 3 poster size prints, a pair of cat ears, a G Gundam model kit, two seasons of Gao Gai Gar, an Urd figure, and two training swords... I can't remember the names for them. I think the solid wood one is a Bokken or a Bokuto and the bamboo one is a Shinai. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Saturday was more of the con goodness, and even more costumed freaks than the day before. I'll admit to being among them, but so few recognized my costume that I'm not sure if I should have bothered.

The Wii panel was informative, but if you already saw Nintendo's presentation at E3, you didn't miss anything. There were a few other panels that I wanted to see, but I have a lousy sense of time and somehow missed them. If you were there, I was the loudmouth in the big red cape, jungle shirt and headband.

The most fun part about Saturday was the sheer amount of pokémon costumes. It was like playing Pokémon Snap in real life. Sadly I wasn't quick enough on the draw to catch most of them, but I did manage a shot of a girl dressed as a Scyther. That evening was also when all the FF fans came out of the woodwork and started fighting over a Cloud in a collar.

The rest of the day became more wandering around, taking snapshots of the interesting costumes. There was a SSBB (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) tournament, but I opted to sit it out, instead pictochatting with my gen1 DS. There were surprisingly few phalli drawn in that session.

Of course, the day ended with one more funny note. I saw a Lloyd Irving shopping at the 'Wall of Smut.' as the dealer would shout so the whole con could hear him. They had funny T-shirts too.

Dinner was easier to find that evening, we had learned where the restaurants were from my local friend.

Con swag of the day, it was light. I just picked up Saber Marionette R.

Sunday, the last day of the con. I actually sat back and sketched for a while amidst the chaos of people in the main convention center. It was actually kind of stimulating. Normally I am very private when I draw, but I wasn't bothered in the least. That drawing will be on both DeviantART and the Art section soon... ish.

I hit the dealer's den one last time for a figure that I had been eyeballing for two days, and surprisingly no one had bought it. Yep, you guessed it, another Felicia. I also picked up a copy of FFIX. It's been on my to play list for too long and I'm enjoying it so far.

Had pizza for dinner that night, and it was then that I felt the first s...

Original entry below

It seems that PayPal had some type of limiter where my account was both brand new and not linked to a normal bank account. After an additional day of waiting, it let me make the transfer I wanted. I guess my PayPal account is officially open. It's still not verified with another account, but it is mine and ready to go.

... I don't plan to ever take commissions, but at least now I have somewhere for someone to send the money.

I don't think anyone noticed a long time ago, but I am open for requests, trades and collabs. It might be easier for me to get something done if someone lets me know what they want.

Also, with the convention coming up I have pulled an old costume out of mothballs and have finished the last detail that was bugging me. If you're at AnimeNEXT, look for a big guy wearing a big red cape.

I am soooo tempted to bring my lightsaber.

******************************

Nowadays, it seems that if you want to pay for anything online, the preferred method is PayPal. It's quick, mostly painless, and secure enough for the average person. The advantages stop there for me.

I signed up for an account this morning and was able to make my first transaction via my debit card. That was all fine and dandy. The payment went through and was confirmed in my online statement within a few minutes.

Now for the icky part. I wanted to send some money to a friend in need. It wants me to link a checking or savings account so that I can proceed. ... huh?

Is my debit card not enough? Do I really have to get another bank account just to send a few bucks to a friend?

In short, PayPal, though you're loved by the rest of the planet... to me you're becoming more trouble than your worth.

... if anyone has any suggestions, my ears are open.

I finally got around to brawling a bit online. (About time, huh?) I only had time for a few matches, but it was kinda fun. For the option of playing against anyone... I wish that the matches were longer. It takes me 2 minutes just to get warmed up. Between the short matches and the constant use of the Final Destination stage... I find that option to be lacking.

Currently I don't have anyone registered in my friend roster, so I can't do the brawl with friends... which I think gives better options. I generally prefer brawling with buddies in my living room. It's a lot more fun when you can smack the jerk that just KOed you.

Honestly, I prefer stages that have as much danger as the players I'm fighting. Places like Lylat cruise and any of the Metroid stages are a blast. The more stage hazards, the better. Keeps you on your toes.

I doubt that I'll have much more time to brawl (as I'll be leaving Symka5) but I may as well drop my Brawl code so I might have a chance of playing a match.

Brawl with me:
3222-5574-6468

What does your deviantart name mean and why did you join this site?
Domon, as in Domon Kasshu. Watch G Gundam. The 9884 tag is one my mom made up for my first username online a long time ago... I forget why I even bother to use it. I DA because I wanted to comment on 's art back when we were on Nsider.

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
Gundam. Now, I like anything with pretty girls. It makes me sound like a bit of a perv, but it's true. I still love the Gundam series though.

3. How many watchers do you have now?
33. More than enough to make me feel uncomfortable.

4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA

5. Do you comment, fav, or both?
Usually I comment, and if I really like it, I fav too.

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?
No.

7. What is your most popular deviation?
Well, the one with the most favs is my Gundam Trek one. One of my Krystal drawings has the most views though.

8. What are your favorite non-anime TV shows?
Mythbusters. I also like to watch shows about paranormal investigations. Then there's Star Trek.

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Animals and character interaction.

10. Summer or winter?
Winter. Snowball fights and no allergies... not to mention keeping warm with someone you're fond of.

11. Rain or Sun?
Rain. I like sleeping.

12. What's your favorite type of music?
Rock.

13. PC or Mac?
PC

14. Anime or Manga?
Manga, it sits still for closer examination.

15. Coke or Pepsi?
... It's going to sound like a cop out, but I don't like either. Give me Dr Pepper.

16. Read or TV?
Read... usually. Lately I haven't felt like doing much more than playing Disgaea.

17. How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
Long enough to read all my messages and maybe submit something.

18. It took a whole five minutes to straighten out, and it made a huge difference in... everything. Smoother ride, easier steering, more power for each pedal movement, and the balance wasn't messed up. I wonder why I never noticed it before. Oh well, the test ride was totally awesome. Didn't even have to try hard to go up relatively steep grades.

I have to say, I am loving the Hyper Police manga. Just looking at the covers I grinned a little more than I should because of vol. 7. I also like that Sakura makes a Star Trek joke.
Well, actually I've got two things tickin' me off. First up, the people whining about the difficulty of Mega Man 9. I just got it today and it's not as ridiculous as the whiners online would have you believe. My view may be skewed by my early years of actually playing the older games, but honestly, I'm not finding it that tough. Really it's like playing MM2 again. Damn that was fun.

Second... I'm not even sure how to talk about it. It just seems that people don't have any respect anymore... I was out for a bike ride the other day, and I came across a cat that had been hit by a car. It was long dead before I got there, but that's not the point. I know that several cars (especially the one that hit it) had passed by and done nothing. It makes me sick that no one bothered to so much as move the unfortunate creature off the road before I got there.

I can't stay negative, so here's a little good news. I passed the midterm for my tax class with flying colors. With any luck, I will do the same with the final. Not bad for a guy who never studies, huh?

Also, I have Pokemon Diamond, and I'm looking to trade for a Vulpix/Ninetails. Note me if you have either and maybe we can arrange a trade. I don't have Ruby/Sapp./Emerald/FRed/LGreen. so I'm stuck trading for ... everything.

Those with my cell number can feel free to call and not worry about me driving through a dead zone.

Second, I purchased a new bicycle a few days ago and I have been riding about 10 miles a day. My only complaint is that the seat is uncomfortable. I think the person who designed it probably doesn't ride bikes. I didn't realize just how out of shape I was, but it's getting easier every day. *loads up his mp3 player with "Eye of the Tiger"*

In other news, I will hopefully have a new job soon... Post these rules.
2. Each tagged person must post 8 facts about themselves on their journal.
3. At the end, you have to tag 8 people and post their icons in the same journal.
4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
5. No tag-backs!

1. Most people think I am far younger than I am... I'm 23 and people mistake me for a high school student.
2. I'm the quiet type. Usually I don't speak unless I have a reason. It kind of annoys relatives when I don't call in over a year, but I simply don't have anything to say.
3. I'm a severe night owl. The average person is more alert during the daytime, but I only start to really wake up once the sun goes down.
4. I don't do well with blood. Just a few drops from a small scratch is usually enough to make me feel ill.
5. I'm a lucid dreamer. When I do sleep, I have full control over my dreams. I learned it when I was really little because my nightmares wouldn't go away.
6. I'm double jointed so most grappling holds and pressure points do not affect me. Well, they do, but you have to reach for other spots to find them.
7. At last check, my IQ was at 174, which puts me in the range of having difficulty adapting to normal society. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience.
8. I'm a good cook. It still tends to freak people out when I tell them that I made something they just said was delicious.

As for who to tag... Do I even have eight people who actually read these?

Lets see:

Just finished FF4... on the DS this time. I'm almost doing a happy dance now because the one Adamant armor I managed to get transferred to the new game. I think I'll load up the older save file and keep farming for four more and beat the game again, that way I won't have to ever again. Kinda sucks that Dark Knight Cecil can't wear it though. It would save me loads of headaches. I'm still a little ticked that the voice actors weren't listed in the credits. (I went through them twice to be sure.)

Still not started on the computer I want to build... It's kinda difficult to find a 64 bit version of Windows that ISN'T Vista (yes, one exists. XP pro 64 bit edition). I'm not going to start construction until I know I can get all the parts. Don't want to be stuck half way through just to find that I cant get what I need.

Besides the project I mentioned last time, my family has been pelting me with... higher priority works. I've learned to enhance (and repair) photos in just a few minutes due to the rate they have been coming in.

Why am I doing that?... My great uncle died just recently. It seems that 2008 is just a great year for the Grim Reaper, huh? Well, I'm the only one in the family that seems to be equipped to do the task, so I'm the one who got it. I liked him, so I feel it was the least I could do. The guy beat cancer, numerous injuries, and even managed to survive the rediculous climate here only to be beaten by a stroke. I'll always remember him because he went out of his way to tell me that he was proud of me for not ever smoking.

First off, the worst news... Mario was hit by a car on the 15th... He was only just a little puppy. It left me feeling like crap, and I still do now that I think about it. I could only watch as he died because his injuries were simply too severe. At least it was quick. *holds onto his cat tightly*

Next on my list, I've going to have to get busy finding parts to replace this computer. The hinge is near it's breaking point and if I were to close the monitor I might not be able to get it open again, or it could break while I try to close it. I'm going to build a desktop machine with a three HD array. Minimum of 1 TB space (thinking 2). About 3 GB of RAM should do nicely. As for the rest of the specs... I'll browse and see if I find anything I like. I would consider buying a new machine, but I don't want a proprietary mess so I'll just build it myself.

Finally, and probably the best bit I have to report, I have another project in the works and so far just the idea has gotten laughs from everyone I've told about it. Got the pose layout ready, I just have to get the rest of it refined and details added. A quick scan, stitch, and Photoshop paint job will have it ready in no time.

I think it's awesome because I found it cheaper than another one that was only 11"x18".

Now if I could find a scanner at that size... Largest I've found is still only 11"x17". It would work, but I tend to draw all the way to the edge... and imply well beyond. Then there's the price... I'm not going there. The bird kicks and claws and thrashes. Then it suddenly gets VERY quiet.
At first the guy just waits, but then he starts to think that the bird may be hurt. After a couple of minutes of silence, he's so worried that he opens up the freezer door.
The bird calmly climbs onto the man's out-stretched arm and says, "Awfully sorry about the trouble I gave you. I'll do my best to improve my vocabulary from now on." The man is astounded. He can't understand the transformation that has come over the parrot.

Then the parrot says, "By the way, what did the chicken do?"

It feels weird. My uncle died yesterday... but I don't feel the same way as the rest of my family. I know what emotional response I'm supposed to have... but it's absent. I guess it's where I didn't really get to know him like I did the rest of my relatives. Never could find the time for both of us to get together.

Of course all of my artistic drive seems to be gone too. I still have ideas (which are listed on a sheet of paper or a .txt file), but I just don't want to do anything with them. I barely managed to force myself to do the latest OAC entry at OLI. It would probably pass faster if I just force myself back to it and doodle at the very least, but I don't even feel like that. Didn't even feel the spark that I usually do when I was watching a new anime (finally got Dragon Half and I love it).

Of course my sleep has been really messed up. Trying to shift to a daylight schedule so I can shut certain family members up. Apparently it's not acceptable to be nocturnal if you aren't required to work those hours. I'm half ready to say screw it and go to bed.

Now that I think about it, my sleep and artistic drive problems are probably linked. Still doesn't explain the lack of emotional response though... Maybe I'm thinking about it too much.

It seems that Square has finally decided to bring FFIV DS Stateside.
[link]

I was about to break down and import it, but this is the best news I've seen all week. So far the US site is a bit lacking on information, but it's a good sign. I wonder who they will get to do the voice of Kain. *crosses fingers hoping for J. Brownlee*

I might still go ahead and pick up a JP copy too.

Now on to the not so sweet part. A female co worker of mine was recently assaulted by her boyfriend. I won't go into the details, but that kind of thing makes me angry beyond belief.

I was asleep at home at the time of the event. If I had witnessed this happening, there would have been two things take place. First, a call to the police, and second, the guy would have lost a few teeth.

Just the thought of a guy physically striking a girl makes me unsettled. I can understand certain situations like martial arts practice, or a required shock to the system. I mean strikes made in anger. I just don't understand why anyone would stoop so low as to take out their anger on someone who can't fight back.

My Allenby figure arrived today. Expect fanart of her sometime ... eventually. Honestly, I've been meaning to draw her anyway. This seems like a good enough excuse. ...Still wish I could have found a Bloodberry. *edit* Allenby pic up.* *edit* added skin shadows and highlights to Allenby pic. Really should have finished it all before posting, but I rushed. I will probably update it once more with suit highlights and shadows when I've got the time to do them.*

Many thanks to ~Twilightof87 for lending me his copy of Cowboy Bebop. Finished it last night. Gotta love the pimped out shuttle in "Wild Horses". "Jamming with Edward" will probably remain my favorite episode though. Had to fight with my DVD drive when it came to watching the 5th disc, but in the end, I won... barely.

Got a drawing of Izumi Maki in the works as well. I just love her bizarre humor in Nadesico. I like Ryoko Subaru more, but Izumi will be first in line there. Now I just need to pick out a good pose. Basic standing poses are starting to get really boring. I've got three CDs worth of art from *HoiHoiSan so I might look there for inspiration.

It feels really weird over at Oddlots recently. It seems that most of the new admins are as busy as the Oddlots prime (for lack of better descriptive term for the originating admins), and thusly not posting much (if at all). Which reminds me... need to get around to doing something for the latest OAC... Should have already done something, but I've just been having trouble thinking of something for it. I'll think of something.

By the way, any of the Oddlots crew reading this, feel free to post in the art section. I've been having fun with it, but I'd like to see some of the others in there.

Ack!! It's bedtime already. Until next time.

*update* Domon has joined the brawl.

Brawl code: 3222-5574-6468

Don't have much time, so send me the codes ASAP and lets have some fun.

*update... again* This is somewhat more important news. My little bro has joined the army. He leaves for basic on the 16th of April.

I have no interest in a military career (I like my long hair and civies), but if he wants to, I'll back him all the way.

I'm now standing at the edge of the cliff that comes every year in the tax office. The last few days of March and all of April tends to be the heaviest days/nights imaginable. The slow period right now feels like the agonizing ride up the first hill of a roller coaster. I can practically hear the chain drive clinking as the car gets closer to the top. I know that it's going to be one wild ride, but I am most definitely not looking forward to it. To be honest... I'm terrified. ...maybe I should just stop thinking about it.

*FYI I am actually a thrill ride junkie. The faster it is, and the more G's you can pull, the better.*

--Anime section ahead--

Finished all of Saber Marionette J, J again, and J to X. As inconsistent as the dub was... it still left me misty eyed at the end of J to X. *shuts up* Keepin' some surprises for the anime fest with a couple of my buddies. At least one of them has a DA account.

Got to check out the Tales of Phantasia OVA last night. Damn good, but it will only make sense to those who have played through the game. They covered the biggest highlights of the game in only 4 episodes, so if you don't know what you're watching... you're out of luck. Don't know why so many sites list it as Vol. 1... There will only be 1 volume. They reached the end with only a single disc. Really want to see the ToS OVA now.... Wish it would come stateside.

Elfen Lied has been recommended to me by so many people that I went ahead and got it. Gonna check it out after finishing Amazing Nurse Nanako.... meaning that I will probably start on it tonight or tomorrow. ANN is only 6 eps and I've already watched 2.

*update* Finished Nanako. Damn funny. Elfen Lied... I'm surprised that I haven't tossed my cookies yet. My low tolerance for blood seems to be negated by something... Something is remaining unreal enough (barely) to keep me from fainting.

Work never ending, work is never done, building up, tearing down, it goes on and on. Work never ending, work is never done, building up, tearing down, it goes on and on... ad infinitum.

The point? The other graveyard shift worker has been fired. Instead of training someone else to do it so late in tax season, I'm on 7 nights a week. Got caffeine?

If I seem irritable for the next month or so, that's why. At least I'm gonna get one hell of a paycheck every two weeks for a while. 24 hours of overtime every week is going to add up quick... especially because I'm paid more than anyone else who does the job. I may be lazy and watch anime/movies on the clock, but I also do my job damn well... strange, huh?

I know, I talk about work too much. I also tend to complain and not post much art. Trust me, I'd rather be posting art than complaining. I'll try to get something up soon.

Only gotten to watch the first 9 eps of Saber Marionette J. Bloodberry... *edit* Finished it. Kick ass. Gonna pick up J Again and J to X soon.

Got my first figure on the way too. Couldn't find Bloodberry, so I browsed around. Ran into Allenby (G-Gundam) and placed the order immediately. I would have preferred Rain, but I'll smile just the same.

Check this out!
*3-9-2008*
I won a request from and she drew this.

[link] Go show her some love.

I should be asleep right now, but I'm posting this. The only series I have that has less violence is Hand Maid May. Think of it as chugging a bottle of syrup, and as you try to take a breath, someone starts squeezing the bottle.

As much as Sumomo irritated me, I felt sorry for her getting fried (almost) on several occasions.

I could relate WAY too well with Hideki... Being a nice guy is starting to suck.

Moving on to Saber Marionette J tonight if I have the time. I'm fearing the last couple weeks of tax season... I know how bad it was last year, and if the first half this year was any indication... it's going to be nearly three times as much. I'm not going to quit though, that would make things worse on everyone else at the office. Just gotta make it until April 16th.

*Domon's log 3-5-2008 9:47*
Back and have my messages checked. You guys were surprisingly unbusy.

Not sure if anyone cared about the mentions of the other drawings. Why did bring it up? Don't know... I just wanted to mention it... for some weird reason. I guess I feel guilty about keeping certain secrets about myself. I can keep secrets perfectly fine for other people, but I have difficulty keeping them for myself. Weird, huh?

Since I can't keep that secret for myself, I'll just say it. I have another gallery on another site. The two share no common works, and only one character (of mine) appears in both.

I've been noticing a number of artists who are taking commissions lately... Nothing too new, but I'm starting to wonder if I am the odd man out. I've got nothing against commissions, but I don't ever intend to take them. The things in my gallery(ies) exists more as stress relief than anything else. If I were to start the commission process, it would become a job and would then only stress me out. I guess the point to this is me wondering why someone would take commissions in the first place... What is the motivation? (besides money of course. )

I simply don't understand, thus I am compelled to ask.

*Domon's log Supplemental*
It seems that only the first 8 episodes of Cyborg 009 made it to DVD... I've been searching for the rest, but it seems that they never got to make the jump... which seems kinda stupid. I remember watching the series broadcast in English (Way more than 8 eps.), so I know they got it dubbed. Why slack on the DVD release? *checks label* Columbia/Tristar has failed. *thinks* Actually, it's more like Sony has failed... horribly. (Sony owns Columbia/Tristar)

Oh well, on to Chobits.

*end log*

*Domon's log 3-3-2008 10:02 AM*

I'm off for a couple of nights, so I'm heading home to see the cat, and maybe ~Twilightof87 if he's home. I'll have dialup access, but it's doubtful that I will be on. Finishing some Twokinds fanart that I have been planning for over a year. Hopefully I'll get a few other things done while I'm at it. Maybe get a start on the magazine cover and centerfold I was going to use, cut out, and now can't get out of my head.

...I'm also finishing something on my 12x18 paper (Just gotta ink it)... but I won't be showing it here or at OLI. Working on some new character designs as well, but they aren't for either gallery either. Where are they going... I'm not at liberty to say.

Still tired as hell, but the ideas won't stop. Someone help me...

Can't wait for Cyborg 009 and Chobits to arrive. I still know next to nothing about Saber Marionette... I guess I will just wait and be surprised.

Still waiting for some suggestions for cons. Anime, comic, Sci-Fi, anything else, I'm not gonna be picky.

*end log*

*Domon's log 2-29-2008 9:45PM*

I don't know why, but the last few days, I've felt absolutely drained. Sure, I've still got artistic ideas, but I just feel like I've lost all my will power that would normally be used to actually make them a reality. It's amazing that I'm even finding the energy to type this really. Work's gonna suck tonight.

I've got one theory about the energy loss, and it relates directly to work. The 11 and 12 hour nights on the weekend are absolutely brutal. Not that it's difficult work, but the mental drain just staying awake is what makes it so tough.

At least I'm building a nice savings. Gonna splurge a bit and pick up a few new anime. Ok, a few old anime that I've been meaning to pick up. Placing that order Monday. I tend to wait for the boxed sets. Does that make me cheap? or just thrifty? Either way it takes a load of patience. Getting Cyborg 009, Chobits (what?), and Saber Marionette J. *edit* Order placed, just waiting for it to get here now. Couldn't wait till Monday. If I like Saber Marionette, I'll pick up the other two parts of the series in my next order.

Gonna pick up a few art CDs too. Hopefully they might inspire some new things from me. Might learn a few new tricks too.

*starts thinking* I feel like there is something else that I wanted to say, but I can't think of it... Meh, I'll think of it eventually.

*Domon's log Supplemental*
I know what I forgot. I'd like to attend my first convention sometim...

Tonight is my last night for a few days, so I will be retreating back home and hopefully returning with the rest of my gear. My lightbox and Wii are on the top of the list. I will be getting in a few days worth of Mario Galaxy. Great game to play while trying to unwind.

*minor edit* Got all 120 stars with Mario. Working on Luigi now. Quick warning, Luigi needs his brakes checked. He tends to skid and slide around. Makes platforming levels a royal pain. I have Luigi to over 40 stars. Luigi rescuing Luigi felt really REALLY weird.
*addional edit* Got all 120 stars with both Mario and Luigi, plus the 121st stars with both. Mission complete.

*minor edit* Still searching and hoping that the DS version of FF4 comes stateside. Nintendo.com no longer seems to have a long time forecast for games... It's driving me bonkers. If I can find any confirmation, I will make a major edit.
*edit* Still searching. Damn Square is staying tight lipped. All I have found are some old articles and a release review for the Japanese version, but no news of a stateside release...

The office is starting too feel too much like home.

The nights are still pretty much the same as last year. All the way down to the disbelieving stares I get from other people at the office when they find out I work the midnight to 8 am shift.

I might get some more sketching done tonight, but I will probably be playing FF4 (again).

*Jan 4.*
This came as a surprise, I've been called in to start work a few days early. I'm not sure how my schedule will be anymore either. At first I was told that I would be doing 8 hour shifts at least 5 nights a week. I was also told that I would start on the 11th. Today is the 4th and I have been called in to do a 12 hour shift tonight...

As such, I haven't got everything moved over to the broadband site. My Wii isn't here yet. I don't even have my tablet here... or my sketch books.

When I mentioned the AMV that I would like to make, I thought that it would have already been done. A few quick searches revealed that it hasn't though. Now I just need to actually do it... Is there a video editor in the house? I'm clueless as to how.
*nights over* Oh boy what a night. I'd like to thank the Nadesico soundtrack (the audio dramas make no sense to me, but they sound hilarious) and the songs below for keeping me awake last night. I did a quick sketch last night, but I left it on the little notepad at work. I wonder what my boss will think.

... and boy are my arms tired.

Bad joke aside, I've been playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. My arms are seriously worn out. The hammer throw did a number on my right arm, and I'm still falling just short of the 86.+ meters that I need to take the WR. Knuckles just doesn't seem to want to throw it farther than 85 m or so. My entire right arm is numb from over an hour of attempts. I guess I will have to swallow my pride and see if I can get it with Bowser. BTW Blaze is kick ass at the skeet shoot.

*wince* ouch *cringe* I probably need some training before I attempt the real Olympics.

In Prime 3 I am up to Omega Ridley on Hypermode Difficulty. I think I will wait until my arm stops throbbing before I face him. In about a month, I will be able to set up my Wii for WiFi access (small window of about 3 months unfortunately). Hopefully I will be able to swap a few friend vouchers. I've got 25 to give away.

I had an odd idea for an AMV the other day. If it hasn't already been done, I'd like to see if it would be possible to do a FFU vid set to "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". It seems to fit with Kaze and his Magun.

*returns to checking messages* Oh boy were you guys busy this holiday season.
