Doesn't ask and doesn't credit...

Not cool.

I've seen it happen around here often, but it never happened to me, until now.

Vidsharma [link] has worked over an image of mine without my permission, nor does she give me any credit as originator of the work. I'm no hardass, and had she asked I probably would have said 'go for it, let's see what you got!' But it's really just plain annoying.

My original is over there to the the left.
Animal Collective PeaceBone Video

So the band Animal Collective's new video for the track titled &#039eaceBone' is live on YouTube here:
[link]
Directed by Timothy Saccenti, [link] . Tim asked me to design the creatures for the video. The freaky girl was based on one of my images titled FaceyFace, [link] .
The monster guy was a fresh design. Monster in my Closet prosthetics effects studio built the creature for the video based on my sketches. [link]
The CG involved was done by the guys over at CLICK3X. [link]
It's a fun, silly, and downright weird video. I had a blast working with everyone on it. MiMC did a great job building that monster, Click's CG work is always great, and Tim hooked up yet another great looking video as only he could.

As for MetalMan v2, I will be compiling the book thru out Sept, and looking at a Oct 2007 release.
The artwork collected for it is beautiful.

Respect.

gearing up for the 07

Back from Aruba. The trip was sensational! Such a great time. It's a true paradise.

Last year at this time I was bummed about not having any good ideas, and no drive to create. I felt I was in an artistic rut. But then came January '06 and something came over me like a fever. I created some very new work, and a lot of it, all with new approaches and techniques than I'd usually do things. I've posted many of them here. For me, I've grown a great deal in 2006. I just hope to come out swinging as hard in january 2007. I'm looking really forward to it.

The usual pimp list:
Bioengineered to be the Best: [link]
I have 2 images in Faesthetic 6: [link]
I have a few images in GraFuck 2: [link]
I have just one logo in Tres Logos this time around: [link]
my prints: [link]

Playing the Wii! Love this thing. Tho I did get that dreaded 110213 error that is unfixible when I tried to connect to the nets. I have to get a new one. So lame. But, the controls are great and I'm looking forward to Zelda, and a Resident Evil one day. I've had no success getting a Ps3, so I'll wait until next year at some point to grab one.

All for now. Be good.

Respect.

just bullshitting

All excited about 500 pageviews last time. I'm at 2000 now! I hope everyone visiting enjoys something of my gallery. I'm still finding so many inspirational images and personalities here.
I have a few things in the works to share with you all. Stay tuned.

My new book: [link]
My prints: [link]

Playing Okami on Ps2. Great game. Very Zelda like, which is always a good thing. So beautifully art directed, and just a whole lot of fun. Check it out. I've drained the last bit of fun out of Dead Rising, which didn't seem possible for a while. That game kicked ass! A blast! And my nintendo DS died on me. A real shame. Guess I'll have to get a DS-lite now. Everything for a reason.
Uhh, yes. I love videogaming.

Respect.

Proud of my work and want to promote!

So, I'm finding more and more insanely good and inspirational artsits on here. It's getting crazy! I'm happy to be amongst such talented likeminded people. Which is why I chose to promote my new book, [link] , in the news section. Days later, after awaiting some kind of response, my first reply reads, do not self promote in the news area, from a moderator. Did I do bad? Is that tacky? I'm just proud and want to get as many eyes on the book as posible! but I certainly don't want to come off tacky or annoying. So I won't do that again.
Talking about shameless self promo... I have prints availible as well. Take a look. [link]
Thanks to everyone that has checked out the Dopepope page and getting me to 500 page views. It seems that it's celebratory here to get that number higher! So 500 aint bad for a newbie. Right?

Thanks deviants.

Allow myself to introduce... my self.

Hello. I am DOPEPOPE. I've come aboard DA with no expectations or understandings of it's inner workings, just jumped in and was welcomed warmly. For that I am grateful. It's truly a comfortable place here. And the artworks I've come across on here daily are unbelievable!!!! I feel right at home!
Not to be tacky, but I have just launched myt first artbook endeavor. It's called 'BIOENGINEERED TO BE THE BEST'. You can see a sneak here:
[link]
That image over to the left there is the book's star, and other like it.
I hope anyone that finds an interest in my artwork grabs a copy for themselves. I'm very proud of it and put countless hours or blood sweat and tears into it's realization.
Thanks for all the comments and positivity. Keep a watch on DOPEPOPE. I'm up to no good.
