Its a pretty cool magazine with some interesting articles. I wrote the article and took the pictures for a piece about Cars and Coffee and then there is an article about me as a photographer. Take a look at the magazine and let me know what you think if you want. Thanks guys!

So after long debate with myself I finally came to the conclusion that it was time for a new camera. Its been just over 2 years since I bought the Nikon D50 and its time for a better camera because the 6mp just aren't cutting it...so its time for the D300 and 12mp. Just ordered it so I really look forward to working with it sometime next week. Oh, but I'm back at school and have been having a lot going on. Aside from constant amounts of project work I am also pursing a lot of outside photography work. Have stuff being published in a British online magazine...check it out at [link]. Also looking at getting press coverage for a few large paintball tournaments coming up soon. Lots of work to come soon so check back often!

Well I've been in Cali for roughly a month now and I've been up to a lot. You can see an assortment of pictures from the Cars and Coffee meets on Saturdays which have been a blast. Met a lot of nice people and sweet cars through it so I'm hoping that by the end of this summer I'll have a few complete shoots through. Bought a little rig which should be showing up tomorrow so hopefully that will create some interesting shots.

My internship with Line 6 though is going really well and they have me working on a few projects...but unfortunately for you all I cannot talk about any of those.

Two weeks now though until Kelsey gets back. Its not the first time we've been gone from each other for this long, but definitely the farthest we've been from each other. I want to be as happy for her to be in Europe as possible...but seriously I want to be there with her and experiencing it too. Everything I want to truly do here in Cali involves her too so really I'm just waiting for her to get back to experience Cali like I thought I would be...

My Clubs:

So I'm out in Cali for my 20th birthday and I would have to say there are good things about it and bad things. I love California and it is amazing to be out here for the summer working and going to car shows and what not...but being that i'm living at my girlfriend's parents house while she is off in europe kinda sucks cause if there is only one person i could spend my birthday with it would be here. Other thing that sucks is just the fact that I'm away from my whole family and all my friends from school..but oh well I guess when school starts back up it will be better. On a better note I went to a Cars and Coffee meet this morning and have like 300 pictures to go through of a lot of amazing cars so I can't wait to post them!

My Clubs:

So this is going to be by far one of my most interesting summers to date. I will be spending the duration of the summer in Placentia, CA working as an intern with the company Line 6 out in Calabasas. It works out great because I get to live at my girlfriend's parents' house. The issue is that she just left for Europe for six weeks. I've known she'd be leaving for a long time now...but man I had no clue it would hurt this much. I've wanted to cry myself to sleep for the past couple of nights. I had to go a month and a half without seeing her, got to for a week and now a whole month and a half again where we will barely be able to even talk. I love this girl to death and honestly think I will spend the rest of my life with her. Which brings me onto the fact that I'm turning 20 in less then two weeks and I'm going crazy just thinking about that. Two years have passed since starting college and I feel like I started yesterday, hopefully the next two years will go by slower.

I'm hoping that while I'm in Cali I'll be able to get a lot of photography into my schedule. Her father and I will be putting back together their VW Ghia and going to a few car shows so that should open up a few opportunities. It will definitely be a fun summer, but I just wish that she would be there with me for the summer and I know I'm going to miss my family too. It seems like every time I come home to visit so many things have happened which I had no clue about. I mean hell my brother just graduated from high school today and in a year my sister will be in high school...this is just crazy!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Clubs:

Well what can I say other then man am I busy. This year has really put me in a position where I need to adjust and get ready for the future or I am going to have some problems. My work load from class is rather large, I now am taking part in like 4 large activities and then of course there is my photography. What activities may those be, well we got every day fraternity things always going on, Public Relations chair of Inter-Fraternity Council, Choreographer and co-directer of our Theta-Xi variety show group and then of course the Coalition dance crew. I am busy like none other and tired every morning, but hell thats life ain't it. I finally got my SB-800, now I'm just trying stuff out and learning exactly how to use it.

Aside from looking to the future as to what I'll be doing for work, and knowing that what I do helps determine that, there is one thing, or more of person, that is helping me through and she is to say the least the love of my life. Amazing to think that really we have only been talking for the last year and actually serious for the last month, but what can I say when our parents have known each other since...well like forever! I really just can't believe that she is coming here from Cali on Thursday! It is going to be an amazing weekend and one full of lots of new pictures to put up!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Groups:

Well I'm in Phoenix and I love how it is warm here, especially compared to Chicago. Kinda sick of being with the family a little bit, but hey isn't that how all breaks are. I'm excited about seeing Amanda in just a few days and now possibly seeing another old friend on Saturday. Kinda insane that I may see two people who I haven't seen in, well one case since I met her and the other case since well I can't remember because we were probably both babies. On a very exciting note as well as you may have noticed from my recent pictures as my family went out tonight we stopped at a local mall. Low and behold we are driving around what do I see but two Lamborghini Gallardo, one Lamborghini Murcielago and one Maserati MC12. Yes that is right, a Masterati MC12. A car which now days goes for nearly, if not more, then $1,000,000. To say the least I was happy that I had my camera with, especially that I had my 50mm f/1.8 because of how dark it is outside. Annoyed however that the SB-800 external flash that I just bought didn't show up at my house before leaving for Phoenix. In general I have had lots of great picture chances and I love it. Hoping that I may even get a few photoshoots out here so we'll see! This new year is off to an amazing start!

I never realized quite how hard it could be to fall asleep. Laying alone in this bed is just hard now compared to falling asleep with that special someone. I know I shouldn't complain since I'll see her again in just a few weeks, but still I just wish I could feel that same warmth next to me now as I fall asleep alone.

On a totally different note I have been feeling rather inspired lately and really just want to get out and do some work. Somewhat difficult with the weather we have been having, but hopefully that will change when I go out to Phoenix and then New Mexico! Finally get to see my friend after nearly 5 years without seeing each other. I still can't believe it is finally happening. We talked about meeting up every year since we first met, but never had the opportunity and now we finally do. I cannot wait!!! Not to mention she loves getting her picture taken so hopefully that will result in a fun photoshoot!

Well its about half way through the first semester of school and I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall. I don't know if its just the attitudes of most people down here or what, but I just need a break from all of this. Everyone seems to only want to drink and smoke...and that is really it. I mean yah they say, "hey lets go camping," but then that camping involves hiking for like 10 minutes and then popping open like 5 30 packs. I'm just getting sick of it really. Not to mention I found out that it will cost $300 to repair my lenses, which were supposed to be under warranty as I recall. Now I have to decide if I should even bother or just look at buying a new lens. Anyone got some advice on that note? I had a 18-55mm and a 55-200mm, now I am looking at maybe like a 18-135 or something along those lines. Give me some ideas here please!

why?

can someone explain to me why life always has to be so cruel. why is it that no matter how much you put your heart into something it can always seem to go to hell. I mean fuck, after everything i've been through, after everything i've had to deal with the last thing i expected was for things to go bad again. I feel like i'm cursed to a life where i give someone my heart but they never truly care for it. I've become so much stronger through high school and college but yet come today i am still so weak. i'm sick of feeling and to be honest when i lay in bed at night sometimes i hope that tomorrow just never comes because then for once my feelings could actually find silence.
