Good day to you my dearest ones. I realized this evening that perhaps my previous journal sounded a bit harsh, which was of course unintended. SO I am making a new one. Because I do love you so.

I am here to warn you that, due to my lack of uploading stuff, and creating new SW comic pages, AND the fact that I'm shirking my seven-page essay, there is a HUGE sketchdump in progress! WATCH OUT. It's coming....and it's gonna GETCHA. And now, to the pivotal point of this entry:

If you remember, some time ago I mentioned a certain professor of mine who has slowly been shortening my fuse week by week...day by day. Carefully chipping away at my patience, knowing that I'm pretty good at following orders. A few days ago...he went too far. He nearly kicked me out of his class forever (which my parents are paying for) just because I happened to not have grey paper. Like, what a jerk right?
Then yesterday he made me redo a complicated piece out of construction paper FOUR times. Count em. FOUR. When the first version was his favorite to begin with.
Then he called me a heartbreaker and told me that my work was disgusting to him.

And so, I was hoping to propose a plan to recruit able men and women to join my army. If you are above the age of six months, and have a strong desire to band together under one radical cause that you barely understand, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so! JOIN THE ARMY, and put an end to the way this man brings me down!

Or...you could just go eat a cookie instead.

Hello dear ones. I have some time before my class to sit down and write a new journal. Which you now have no choice but to read. ^^

Shockingly, I came home last night, tired and a bit grumpy and signed on to find that I had about twelve favorites! Thanks so very much guys. I am grateful for your patronage. Made my soggy-oatmeal sort of day rather a lot better.

However all of the favorites were for one of my stamps. I would like to kindly remind everyone that I DO make art. Which I DO work very hard to make, and which contains all of the inspiration in my very being. I know stamps are cool, but I would be far happier knowing that my actual artwork was being looked at. Even if you hate it, I do make it my purpose in life to bring it to you.

Thought it was about time to upgrade, considering how I'm paying for it and all. ^^

And thus I have uploaded this shining new interface and a new chibi-cheebs of Kya-Chan. Ah fun. Still working out a few kinks here and there, since I'm quite new to this, but what have you.

ALSO I would like to announce a new commission system. I have made a rather shocking decision.

You don't have to pay for commissions. That's right. YOU don't have to pay me a cent for my work! Isn't that exciting?! You can note me for a concept, and I will draw it for absolutely no charge.

However, if you so wish, you can send me a donation via paypal. Just ask me for my info if you want to donate.

Of course, I still reserve the right to refuse a commission if I don't think I can execute it properly, or if I'm short on time. Most likely I won't refuse it, but just to warn you.

Hey guys. Haven't updated this in a while. Mostly because I spend a good deal of time PREVENTING EARTH FROM MEETING ITS TOTAL DESTRUCTION. :3

Anyways, I started school and it's pretty fun. I'm learning how to draw lines and make abstract art with lines, and try not to face-claw my professor....with lines.

I'll probably submit some of these dreadfully neat art stuffs soon. Just so you can marvel at how far out of my league this art style is. So many lines. ;.;

My commissions have evidently reached a complete standstill. For that I am truly sorry, but now I am tackling schoolwork, and procrastinating. Luckily my commissions have been mostly for my friends so if they feel the need to brick me in the face...you know where to find me.

As many of you know, I am a proud owner of a Potter Puppet Pals T-shirt made by and her brother. I do not think my joy at this acquisition will dissipate any time soon. It is my favorite piece of clothing. Without any doubt. I also seem to have developed a serious addiction to Muscat gummies. Can't stop eating them. They are too tasty. They are PREPOSTERTASTY.

Aaaand I saw Quest For Camelot for the very first time! A piece of my childhood has been restored. Noooow I just need to see Anastasia again.

Today I had an interesting experience with the NeverEnding Story.
For those who don't know it, The NeverEnding Story is my favorite movie ever. Though lame and juvenile, it brings joy into this cavernous, colorful, confusing juicebox that I call my life.

Anyways I had a rather irresistible craving to watch it, so I checked it out from the library a few days ago. I sat down with a bag of jellybabies this afternoon, ready to be ridiculously happy for a while and then....the disk was scratched. Mauled, and in all ways mutilated so that every single scene was chopped up and warbled and frozen. The strange part is...in a fit of sadness and rage at the detriment to my favorite movie I began to cry! Coffee pot cry! (dripdripdrip GUUSH dripdrip)

So then I braved the sleet and cold to walk all the way to Blockbusters and rent it. I found it and stumbled into a sniffly heap to the cashier. Guess what? He decided to make a snide comment about my liking the NeverEnding Story.

"Peh. NeverEnding Story huh?"

I neeearly drop-kicked him in the teeth and yelled, "You little motherfuck! It's a beautiful movie about magic and friendship and belief in yourself! I'm trying to give you fucking MONEY!!!"

I managed to restrain myself. I was just wondering, does this ever happen to you guys? Where you love a movie and everyone seems so happy to pounce onnit and shred it with malicious little claws? u_u very sad.

It was a good one.
I went to church like I do once a year. Saw some people I knew. Watched a hippie play some kinda weeeird pipe organ jazz. Sweet.

But BEST of all I got a giant anthology of Beatles photos for Christmas. I am filled with eternal glee. I also got two Beatles albums, so I am no longer adrift on a sea of silence.

My brother got Assassin's Creed which we fought over. I adore that game. My brother is a bad assassin. He always ends up with half of Damascus running after him.

You know, usually I just get annoyed and irritated during the holidays because of the overblown decorating and shopping and halluballo, but this year I'm actually excited for it, and enjoying it. Even all the overblown decorating makes me happy. Maybe it's because I got my Christmas present really early, so I can just sit back and enjoy the holiday for what it is. Who can say?

Finals are over over over!!!!! Thank the Lard. *pokes belly* No really...it kept me alive when I dinnit eat. :<

Before I launch into annoying-ness I have a funny story to tell. It may be boring to some...and if so skip it and move on. ^^

I have this locker for my art supplies at school. Being an art major means one of two things, lugging around pounds of art materials and a giant portfolio stuffed with the entire semester's work, or keeping it in a locker and not killing yourself. I appear to have chosen the latter option for the past few months.

Anyways, I walked over to it this morning and discovered an amusingly alarming note on the door. It read:

"Dear CU student, all lockers must be emptied of their contents before Dec. 15th. Otherwise the lock will be cut off and the contents DESTROYED. Thank you."

Now, they didn't say, "confiscated" or "thrown away" or "donated". They said "DESTROYED".

Which caused me to wonder. How does one completely and utterly obliterate a nearly bullet-proof box of pencils and a large sturdy portfolio? How does one DESTROY the contents? Would they blow them up?! Chuck a grenade at them and yell, "SAYONARA!!!"?
Or maybe they would throw them into a pool of radioactive liquid.
Or toss them into the fires of Mount Doom.

Also, what kind of animosity would you have to feel in order to DESTROY someone's art. My mind's eye can see some angry top-notch businessman whack the portfolio to death with his leather briefcase, crying to the moon like an enraged warrior, veins pulsing in his temples!

So, much to my amusement, I decided to leave a note in the locker.

It says, "Hi there! I am leaving this piece of paper in here, because I want it to be DESTROYED. So here it is for your DESTROYING pleasure. Oh yeah, and tell me when you destroy it because I want to be there when you do. Thanks so much! ^_^"

We shall see where that goes.



Now back to business as usual. Wait...what business? Um......*awkward twiddling of thumbs* Oh YES.

It was a pretty good Thanksgiving this year. I got to see my older brother again, who I miss every second of every day. He is too skinny. I made him eat a LAWT. And we made pumpkin ice cream together. ^^ It was really nice. And of course I ate too much, and still managed to eat Golden Grahams at 2:00 AM. Ewww. I tried to exercise it off, but the deed is done.

So, it's finally here! A whole week in which I can work on school projects and commissions to my heart's desire, start falling back into hibernation mode, and celebrate my least favorite holiday. I am so relieved!
I'm pretty stoked about the whole categorizing system for my gallery that appeared out of nowhere, just like an early birthday present tucked away in my secret art hideout. I've been working through upgrading, and hopefully after I scrap a huge number of ancient atrocities, my poor little gallery will be half-decent.

So, I thought I would inform you all of what I'm doing, and planning to do. Almost as though you've been wondering about it often throughout the day.

COMMISSIONS:
I have the bottom sketch done, and am in the process of inking. Thanks so much for being so patient with me, I've had to start over and try again many times because I haven't been too pleased with the pose. But hopefully, I have it right this time!

Um. You know. I also need to rewrite the information so I know what the heck I'm doing.

Three on the way. One about Jude from the Beatles song, one with a giant fish, and one with an elf. By the end of the week they should be up. And heck, they would make some good gifts for the holidays!

I'm making some Christmas cards to sell for a reasonable price. I hope there'll be some takers for uniquely artistic cards to send out to people.

TEN THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR. Oi.

1. I live in a country where I can vote for my political leaders, and have access to both basic, and not-so-basic human needs.

2. Someone invented the scissors. Oh MAN what would I do without them?

3. Tampons. Yes. And my banjo panties. I love them so. (I'm not a material person at all!!!! XD)

4. I live in a beautiful state, where there are mountains, and it is currently windy.

5. Car windows. I can roll them down and make it more windy whenever I want.

6. I am surrounded by amazing artists and profound friends much of the time, who support me and teach me fascinating things.

7. I have many animal friends who love me and listen to my made-up stories when I'm bored or lonely.

8. The Beatles, who fill my life with joy and sadness every day.

9. The fact that many cultures around the world continue to fight to uphold their beliefs despite violence, displacement, war, and natural disasters.

10. That I was born when I was, and was able to grow up watching classic cartoons. And that playgrounds weren't cheesy and "safe" when I was little, so I could grow up with a little danger.


There are many more things I am thankful for, some more than others, but these are the things that first come to mind.

Today, I made a pretty big mistake. The most embaressing part about it is the fact that I make this mistake relatively often, and the average American adult makes this mistake every single day.
I woke up this morning, poured out a bowl of Captain Crunch (oh the luxury! :3) and cuddled down in a tussled heap on the couch.

-And watched the news.-

Now I realize the importance of watching the news. It seems to be the only easily available way to get a general overview of the state of the world and the local happenings of our lives. How else would we know? But I always forget how the news makes me feel when I watch it, and become fully aware of those feelings after about an hour.

It started out all right. They talked about how Paris Hilton acts as a mouse painkiller (W....TF?).
Then I watched someone being tortured with water boarding. And watched the value of the dollar plummet. And the price of oil rise to $100.00 per barrel. And finally, Aqua Dots, a new toy that consists of a bunch of colorful beads that, when sprayed with water, cement together into shapes, turns into the date rape drug GHB when eaten.
WOW.
Not to mention that Nancy Nord, the woman that George Bush hired as consumer protection chief has no previous experience in the field, and still claims that the consumer protection system is sound, despite millions of different toys being recalled (such as Barbies with lead paint, a large number of Fisher price products, and just recently some Curious George toys.)

Which causes me to wonder...why can't parents raise their children the way I was raised? Usually, my mum would put me outside with a cardboard box, and I found it far more entertaining than any other toy. And it probably wasn't laced with drugs that would send me into a coma if I ate it.

Wow...I'm moving to Canada.

Phew. Now that I have commish info up, I can dump all my woes and troubles upon your poor hapless eyes. I'm sorry dear children.
To put things briefly I am being drop-kicked in the teeth by homework. Really, I should be doing it right now, but I needed to stop for a while. Why did I think 16 credits was a good idea? WHY.

I think I'll be submitting new stuff in the coming days, so stay tuned. There is a new SW strip, in which you find out how Arthur and Kya-Chan became romantically involved through sexist circumstances. And I have other cool stuff too from my art class.

I'm so sorry I haven't been updating and such, not to mention keeping up with all of your arts, but I have been rather busy with homework lately, and the stress has been building up. I promise you, I'm still working most ardently on your commisions and shortly I will have an entry with all of the commision and payment information. I'm telling you right now that I WILL NOT charge over twenty dollars for even my best commisions, and I can do practically any subject you want. I'll tell you all when the journal is posted.

In addition to being busy with homework, there is a new arrival to my family who came to me two months early. Namely my Wii. It was supposed to be for Christmas but my dad could no longer stand hiding it from me so he gave it to me! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I have been playing Zelda. What a glorious game. And I rather like boxing in Wii Sports.
So anyways yes, that is the update for now I suppose. I have also decided to start a new tradition of posting a piece of art in my journal every week that I find particularly noteworthy and would suggest taking a look at. It's nice to give my fellow artists an opportunity for free advertising. ^^

I was working at Four Mile Historic Park again today. And yesterday I went and saw Le Corsaire, which I haven't seen in a number of years, and which pleased me greatly. I do so love pirates...and forbidden marriages....and harem girl/pirate romance. Not to mention undersea treasure grottos.
I like pretending to be a pioneer for a living. It's FUN!!! And there are many wee childrens that are fun to watch. And giant horses. And I've gotten very good at using stilts.

This guy doesn't have enough pageviews on youtube. I feel the need to advertise those who do not get enough notice on the internet (in my humble opinion). You should go watch this and remedy that. XD

I feel like posting my strong feelings about the degradation of today's sci-fi films. Because I just do.
All my life I have held a long and loving friendship with animation and claymation. All through my childhood I grew up with Disney movies and Sesame Street and I was always fascinated (even at that young age) by the process of animation. How it is drawn and inked frame by frame to create motion, and how all the characters are so unique and well-planned. I loved ALL those older films: Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and especially Beauty and the Beast. Aside from having awesome animation they had their own SOUNDTRACKS so as a kid you could sing along with catchy lil songs that you'll remember for the rest of your life!
Then I moved on to awesome films like Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, The Goonies, and Star Wars. All of them made using models and puppets. They brought so much magic and inspiration into my life. In a way they made me part of who I am! I then watched horror movies like The Thing (1986) and Alien and An American Werewolf in London. All of the transformations and creatures were made without ANY computer technology. I have huge respect for that.

Good day my dear friends! Updating for no reason in particular...
and and I had some fun today downtown where we went and got bagels for lunch at an Einsteins that was swiftly falling into disrepair...practically before our eyes! We gave a deaf homeless man some money....and there was an awesome man with a shiny hat playing tunes from his wheelchair.
It's so fun to be able to hang out every now and then. I find myself swamped in work so much of the time now that sometimes I forget how great it is. ^^

This morning several old man were giving out free New Testaments on campus. I was amuuused. They couldn't have chosen a less qualified or interested candidate for their religious advertising. I started trying to walk past back and forth by the old men to see how many plastic Bible bits I could accumulate over the day. For a while I had three...could've gotten more. XD <----This is TOTALLY not meant to diss out anyone who is Christian or especially Evangelist. It's just my heartless behavior. Really.

I was at the AIDS walk today working as a volunteer. It was fun! Especially when i caught a guy in the act of hiding drugs. Or...maybe it was a body! That would be pretty intriguing.
You see, the guy sidled up behind me and I sorta watched him, getting ready to fall into a fighting stance should he try to pull a move on me. He just walked by and sneaked off into some bushes. I could hear him rummaging around in there for a time, and I tried not to look in his direction to see what on earth he could have been doing. He left with a ziploc bag of film capsules. Which, as we all know can mean one thing. Druuuuug transport. Or, so I figure.
Later on I crawled up into the bushes where he was, and I found a GIANT black trash bag partially buried in the dirt. I wanted to open it, but I thought better of it. I may be one of them "meddling kids" but I don't want to get into trouble. So, I wonder...would someone ACTUALLY stash THAT many illegal substances in a public park? Prolly not...but it was a shady business altogether.

Kai and I were at school having lunch yes? A perfectly innocent activity. Sure, there were cards involved but we didn't do anything even mildly flirty. No less than FOUR hot Asian guys passed our table and glanced down at us smirking. Two of them then sat at the table next to us and had lunch. It was so cute listening to them talk. I think it might have been Taiwanese, cuz it didn't sound like Japanese. Still made me ridiculously happy listening to them. ^^

And THEN Kai took off on the bus to go home and I went off to go to class. I nearly bumped into two MORE hot Asian guys. And a guy that had.....(drumroll please) NURIKO'S HAIR! Not even joking. NOT EVEN JOKING. It was looong purple hair that was plaited in the back. I couldn't believe it!!!

And I have a higher grade in math than in my art class. WTF? I've NEVER gotten good grades in math. This is my first time! YAAY!

Here's my epic story:
I got on the lightrail shaking with absolute terror. The guy next to me was reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which oddly comforted me, and I resolved not to be nervous but of course it didn't work.
I thought I knew where all my classes were. Evidently I didn't. I spent ten minutes in the wrong room and then went to the right room to sit next to a smelly old man. The class ended at 9:30, and my next class was at 1:00. This means that for three and a half hours I had NOTHING to do. So I walked...and walked.....and walked....called people.
1:00 came around, and I was in my classroom, only to find that the class had moved to another building. And failed to tell me which building. Or how to get there. Or the room number. Little fucks.
At this point I was about ready to cry. I was hot, tired, lonely and 15 minutes late to a class that had simply vanished. I found the class. Convened in a SHED behind the student union! Like I would EVER find that!
The teacher of this class was from Columbia, and I was forced to sit far away since I was so late. I couldn't hear anything. It sounded like vague Spanish from ten miles away. I dozed off. I was told to write an essay reflecting on a lecture I never heard. I cried.

I went home and watched The Illusionist. That movie is so healing. WATCH IT. It's good.
Looks like this time I had every reason to have misgivings. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...

So, my grandparents are coming for my mum's birthday this weekend. Not to see the grandkids. Heck, they could care less about us. To see my mum.
Anyhoos, my mum asked me to clean the entire house by myself last night because she wouldn't be able to. This week I've actually been working full- time, and I was kinda tired. Actually kinda doesn't cut it. I was REALLY freaking tired. I haven't been sleeping well at all, and I'm the kind of tired that usually results in my getting sick.
So I was a grumpy wumpagus. But, true to my nature, I cleaned the entire house, top to bottom. Mopped. Vacuumed. Dusted. Organized. Threw away. Decorated. Scrubbed.
I went to bed more tired than ever.
When I awoke, my mum was at the foot of my bed....totally creepy as it is. She basically told me that I didn't clean thoroughly enough and I should do it over again..in the hour remaining to me before work. Then left.
I was SO DAMN PISSED. I'm the ONLY person that cleans my house. I've done EVERYTHING my mum has ever asked me to do, and still I get crap for it. I mean, what the shit-faced FUCK?
I wish Dora the Explorer was yelling in my ear to speak Spanish right now. The agony would be far less than what I'm experiencing now. RAAAAWR!

My stepdad got the HD TV installed today...and OMG I have a channel devoted ENTIRELY to old monster movies. I've been watching it all friggin day long. And I saw this movie called "Class of 1999" that I totally fell in love with, even though it's so lame. It's about battle androids that wage war with a bunch of gangsters in a high school! XD I wanna go out with the protagonist so BADLY.

This book is so STRESSFUL! Every ten pages I'm afraid that a character that I've known and grown up with all my life is gonna hit the can! It's so fraught with danger and sadness! I've already almost cried twice and I'm only halfway through it! By the gods is there no mercy for my poor fangirl nerves?!

However, the plot is as interesting and in depth as ever. The end is near. *sniff* Now what will I do with my life without more Harry Potter to look forward to?

Also...can anyone explain headers and footers to me? I wanna make my journal look purty, but I dun know how. I am your humble disciple!
