As of December 18th (i think) I am officaly engaged to my beloved Vincent. We won't be marrying right away, we have decided to wait until we are both done with college. Neither of us have the mental skills to balance family and school and work. Together we kinda make a whole person. Saddly for him (bwah hahahahahahahahaha) this means I will have adequite time to plan multiple wedding scenarios and themes and other stuff, for years to come.

Mum came home on Jan 23rd and left on Feb 7th. We had fun, although I didn't get to spend as much time with her as I had wanted, its hard to do when you have so much to do and such little time to do it in. She arrived back on base on Friday last and was back at work on Saturday (Sunday for her). She may be coming home in May as her one year mark will be up in April. She won't be staying for good, she intends to stay at her post for 2-3 years. I'm hoping for only two. I miss her a lot.

Ironically the night before she flew home I earned a speeding ticket (84mph in a 65mph). After that Vincent's neighbor backed into my car, I was just trying to watch a movie man! A week later I got my car back. I missed it.

While Mum was in town we got new carpet in the bed rooms, tile in the kitchen, a twin and trundle bed for the guest room and a new matress for me (huzzah!).

I think that's all for now.

oh I'm working in 3D Max.......I dislike it.

1. I have a foot phobia. Feet really bother me. I don't like them on or near me. It really really grosses me out.

(Besides gas)
- You go to a baseball game and you wonder why the players are running the wrong way.
- You can't shake hands without grabbing the other person's wrist.
- You sign your faire name on checks.
- You know everybody on the Ren Faire ad posters by name.
- You know all the Military Guild's drills and you're not *in* the Military Guild.
- You're *really* worried about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
- The first thing you do when you get home is shower... the second thing you do is get undressed.
- You've gotten to the point where you *like* the taste of burlap.
- You have more cloaks then Batman.
- Someone accuses Shakespeare of being a ghost writer and you jump up outraged yelling, "He wrote those himself... I was there."
- Your parents don't recognize you OUT of costume.
- You're in the privy and you don't notice the stench.
- You can use the word "verily" in a sentence.
- You can discuss the pros and cons of nylon vs cotton lycra leggings -- and you're a guy.
- A little kid wants help with the alphabet and you teach them the Sea Dog alphabet ("Ahhhhh", "Rrrrrr", "OOOOO" & "Ewwwww")
- You can't wait for summer to end so Faire can start.
- Someone asks what ethnicity you are and you say, "Faire folk".
- You get in a fight and can't stop doing stage punches.
- During the week at work you reach for your pouch, and it's actually there!
- You have more Faire garb then real clothing.
-You tend to say hazzah and well met instead of thank you and hooary
-People ask what you do for fun, you say I go to faire and they have puzzled looks on there faces then you go ren fair and there still confused finnally you say "renaissance fair" they remark on how you get paid you laugh and walk away because you don't feel like answer than question for the one millionth time.
-When you talk to you signaficant other you might use title of "my lady" to you woman and she remarks "my lord" of course I have a fair brat for a girlfriend
-You go to a renaissance fair out of garb and feel very naked and uneasy. although every one that knows you says your naked which is always fun whether your talking garb or just in general
-Your boots cost more than your house
-You ask for weapons and armor for holiday presents instead of regular gifts
-You start naming your weapons
-You can recite the entire Mudde Show by heart
-You know what period sumptuary laws are and follow them
-You carry at least one dagger on you at all times
-You have several Faire Moms
-You call people by their Faire name instead of their mundane one while on the street
-You are constantly covered with glitter from fly-by Faerie attacks
-You know all the courtly dances and try to get your friends to do them for fun
-You spend most of your money on garb, weapons, armor, and pavillions.
-You know the words to "Health to the Company"
-(For guys) You own several codpieces (for chicks) You own several bodices
-You own a tail and wear it
-You can quote such movies as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Princess Bride, and Excalibur from off the top of your head
-You have a strange addiction to cinnamon nuts, chocolate dipped cheesecake, kettle corn, turkey legs, and bread bowls
-You find yourself referring to bathrooms as privies in mundane life by accident
-You know where every privy is on site within two minutes and where the flushies are within one
-You have been run-over by a Rickshaw several times
-You know the entrance to "Rennie Road"
-Your preferred drink of choice is homemade meade
-You find yourself hiring out as a mercenary for a few bootles of meade
- You use your boobs instead of a purse.
-When you go through your closet, and you move things, most of your stuff jingles.
-you break into accent in mundane circumstances
-When you own more than five flasks and eash one has something different in it
-when you here a bump in the night and not sure what to grab, the baseball bat, the gun, the one of many swords, or one of many axes
-If you show up to an event and forgot your tent you know someone will have one you can use or just let you share theres,
--Your "biggest shopping days" aren't around Christmas...they're at faire time
--You use "methinks" in regular speech (I do that just to annoy my friends)
--You're never at a lack for costumes for Halloween...hell, you'll lend some out to your friends
--You suggest that you college organizes its own mini medieval faire

i just spent 20 min up in my room looking for stuff to sell.....its really sad and funny.....

dear lord this is nuts.......so i just finished parusing my photography teacher's site.......no offence to him or anything...but his stuff looks like what i always consider screw up shots.......don't get me wrong...i think he's a brilliant wonderful teacher..........but why is this considered art????? its like when my teachers love the work i did in five minutes before class that had no concept other than "OH SHIT THERE'S A DEADLINE TODAY!!!" and are just BS snap shots.........and find my deep conceptual work that took me days of preparation and a few days of shooting to be worthless junk......

why is it that normal people don't get my work???? my mother gets it completely....but then she is in my opinion an exceptional abstract mind.jimmy gets it too...and helps me more than the crits we do in class....he's a smarty pants too.

tomorrow i'm going to the houston photography museum............yay ]]> ~drayfae
