anyway, the show has given me quite a bit of inspiration. Saw Static-X, which was insane. loved it. So now I'm working on a nifty little portrait of Wayne...hm, if only I could draw hair. If anyone has any tips or knows of any good tutorials...please lemme know. His hair is killing me.

Lotsof other things in progress. Not enough to have a big art dump soon, but yeah, some stuff. Anyone remember the Amazon Trio from Sailor Moon? Yeah, I'm giving them each their own little homage, because they just seem so under-appreciated (and goddamn it, they're just cool!). And no, I won't be following it up with any Amazoness Quartet artwork...hate them. H8!

In the next few days, I'll be doing a little bit of cleaning in my gallery. I'll be deleting a couple of things, and art that I find sub-par will find a new home in my scraps. I might move me icons into the scraps, too, but I'm not sure about that. Also, have a couple more completed pieces to submit, a few that are half way done. Some cool stuff, I think. Can't wait to submit it.

Oh well. Figured I'd let you all know that I really am still alive before I got into a non-art related endeavor. Y'see, I'm usually quite used to living in my own organized mess, but lately it hasn't been so...organized. Hence the cleaning. I need to put all the new flashy-blinky-glowy rave-y toys I got away, then the new art supplies.

Teh new art supplies. Yum. New drawing pencils, new sketchbooks. New paints, new brushes, new canvas. New sharpeners, new erasers. And tape. LIME GREEN TAPE! AHHHHH!!!

So once I get all of this infernal cleaning done, I'll get new stuff up soon. Lots of things are in the process of being scanned/uploaded, others need to be finished, but never fear, they are all quite nifty.

Heh. My life is always better when I'm being artistic, I've noticed. Its pretty cool, something good happens, I'm in a better mood, helps me come up with a bunch of cool drawings, puts me in a better mood, makes something else good happen, its a really cool cycle of happy. Yes, the Artistic Cycle of Happy.

Yay for things to look forward to.

In other news, I'm starting to feel a bit old. Why? Eh. I've been a member of dA for almost 2 years now. (On the 29th, actually.) Sheesh. I usually don't stick with things that long, so I'm shocked.

But yeah, do you guys think I should do anything for 2 years of deviant-ness? Not that I have any ideas, but it seems like it'd be a cool thing to do. Oh well.

(In other news, there's about 40 days until I [hopefully] get to go and see The 69 Eyes! WOOOOOO!)

Well...I've obviously reloaded the page about a million times and now I am left wondering what to do. I'm also obviously too lazy to really try doing anything or asking anyone what to do...so I'm just assuming that it is my ancient-ass computer. Lately, I've been too much of a sad sack to really do much of anything that doesn't revolve around my own mopeyness. (Getting dumped sucks, people.)

So...in the meantime, I'll keep working on new projects, and as soon as I get a chance, I'll get them up. Also, some shows I'll be going to in the near future and I've got a nifty digital camera that I can take reeeeeeeeally neat photos with. (And video, but that's so much memory...)

But yeah, if anyone has had this issue and knows how to solve it...PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'd REALLY love to get passed this obstacle and get more of my art up. My little drawing of Meatwad is itching to be seen.

I haven't posted in a while. Like...two months. My apoligies.

Yes, I know, I said I'd have those Army of Anyone photos up ages ago. I should really stop promising things. Every time I do, something goes terribly terribly wrong and I never fulfill said promise.

Not much to talk about in the ways of new artwork, though I have been trying to post those photos. No idea what the hell is up with dA lately, every time I try and upload things, nothing happens. I honestly don't know if its dA, my computer, my Internet connection, or a combination of the three, but I hope to get things straightened out soon so I can get those awesome pictures up.

In the mean time...

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day with your special someone, or a kickin' Anti-Valentine's Day, whichever you personally celebrate. (Thinking about doing both this year, myself. ) May you get obscene amounts of chocolate and lovin', and if you live under that massive snow storm, don't do anything dumb. SO.FUCKING.AWESOME.

Myself and Gal Pal were waiting in line to get into the show, and guess who is hanging out among said line? Ray Luzier, the drummer. (Pittsburgh boys know how to take care of Pittsburgh fans.) So we got a picture with him and my night was basically already made.

So then we get inside, and we're like...the first two people in there. (Other people are dumb and decide they're gonna go to the bar. hahaha, I got up close, hahaha.) As we're waiting around, we take a few pictures of the stage and one of Robert DeLeo's mike plug. That it how close we were. We were close enough to basically lean on the stage (and touch other things, but I'll get to that later. ).

We got a few pictures of the opener, who were actually pretty cool. I believe they go by the name of Mojo Riser. Check them out.

To get back to the point, the show starts, the band kicks ass, and I mean, they really kick ass. Rich can sound a bit 'eh' when recorded, but live, he is just fucking AWESOME.

As I mentioned, myself and Gal Pal were right in front of Robert's section of the stage. Robbie is ma new best friend. He kept letting me touch his bass. And grab his legs. (Can we say inner thigh action!!!) And then at one point he handed me a setlist. And he kept grabbing my hand. And then when Gal Pal asked him to, he went and grabbed a pick that had been dropped by Dean and gave it to her, after which he went and got one especially for me so I wouldn't feel left out.

Richard Patrick. Let's get back to Richard Patrick. While Robbie is ma best friend, he was definitely Gal Pal's best friend. He kept wandering over and grabbing her hand and singing to her and holding the mike over her so she could scream. (I think we got a good picture of them holding hands. ) I myself only got the pleaure of touching Rich once...I almost pulled him into the audience. Whoops.

So the show was amazing. I caught a drum stick, as did Gal Pal. Actually, we each got a drum stick, a pick, two setlists, and then at the end of the show, I got the Miracle Cigarette.

The Miracle Cigarette has a lovely story all of its own. One Mr. Dean DeLeo smokes like a chimney. He had a cigarette in his mouth at one point, but before he got to light it, he dropped it. I watched that fucking cigarette like a hawk. It almost got stepped on eleventy billion times. Richard set the mike stand on it as he walked off, but it didn't break or anything. The roadie stared at me like I was fucking psycho when I asked him to get it for me, but yeah, who will be laughing when I have my own Dean-clone. Muwahahahaha.

And then after the show we met Ray AGAIN and got autographs. Woo!

I'll bet you're sitting there, scratching your head and wondering what the hell any of this has to do with teh artz. Well yeah, I got a whole roll of wicked sweet pictures. These are all rediculously up-close. So once I get them developed...woo!!

(I hope the picture of Dean getting mock-ass-raped by Rich turns out well. *cackles*)

I know I said I'd be back once my puppy was all healed up...but I guess I lied.

I've been having to get up at a time in the morning I like to call o'dark thirty...so as soon as I get home it is nap time. I've hardly been doing anything for myself. No writing. No art. No staying up past 11. Woe is me.

So...I'm really trying to catch up with stuff.

And now I think I'm coming down with a cold. AGH!!

Don't think its strange if you get a random comment on a journal or deviation or anything...my inbox is STILL obscenely backed up. (And I mean really backed up. Stuff from August 27th is in there. @.@)

Sorry for such a random journal entry that seems to be a lot like my last. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

But I've been having to deal with her walk around in one of those big cone-collar-thingies, which is obnoxious. A couple of days ago, she had to have half of the incision re-stitched...ugh...

I think it came undone when she was playing with my other dog. She likes to use the collar as a weapon. So now, she's pretty much on constant observation, and isn't allowed to run around or anything. Basically, all she's getting is a walk every night.

Ugh.

I digress--my point is, I'm doing my best to answer comments and look at all the awesome stuff on my watchlist...so if you get any random comments on deviations from a few weeks ago, yeah. I also have a few pieces that are all just started or half done...so hopefully I'll have something to post soon. Yay!

So, the highlight of the night was this: Ian will play a tambourine while he plays, right? So...I'm right up front, maybe 4 rows of people back? And, like the shameless psycho I am, I'm screaming that I love him. Yeah. So he throws the tambourine into the audience, right? And guess who catches it.

Yeah. *glows*

I think I may be growing emotionally attached to it. And they're selling a professional bootleg of the show, so I'll definitely get that when I get paid.

Mine was okay. Just okay, sadly. I think I hate my boyfriend's work schedule more then he does. We really didn't get to hang out, like I hoped, 'cause he has to get up early on Wednesdays. But he did visit me at work, and he did bring me my favorite candy. (Mike and Ike's. YAY!)

Yeah, I just felt like venting. On with the dA related. I have a few more drawings just kinda sitting that I'll probably submit. Coloring Debbie Harry Sketch and Princess Peach at the moment, too. And in other news, I've started a little acryllic painting. I have no idea what that'll be done, though.

Good to see that my art is getting comments. Didn't think it would catch many eyes. Guess I was wrong.
