what a genius i was to do two folio subjects. bah. fool.

anyways, i've been trying to find ideas for my vampire concept in my art folio.
its not going well.. im trying to go for something deeper than just a vampire burning in the sun, or some blood dripping from their lips. sigh.
i'm not saying anything about my decisions or concepts on here though, ha. paranoia will protect me.

school is driving me mad. i get ahead in two subjects and the others fall behind.
i fix up the others and they bored me to madness. so i go back to the other others but my inspirations gone. i hate my life sometimes, urgh.

terrified families have fled their homes, others who tried to defend their precious land and way of life have been destroyed in the path of the fires.
it's horrifying to think of, and it makes me feel so sad for all who are affected by this.
thankfully i don't live close to any of the affected areas, so my family is safe, but others aren't so lucky.

i was thinking today how people are always worrying about the country being flooded by melted ice caps, due to global warming, etc. and it seems so unlikely now, when our who country appears to be going up in flames.

just yesterday, on the "black saturday" in question - that title was given to the day by a local newspaper, i think - i walked to a park/playground near my house with a friend of my mum's. our pet whippet had jumped the fence yet again while i was at work, so the friend was helping me to look for her. last time she escaped, she went to the park, so we went there first. and this was around 8.30pm, maybe. the sun hadn't set yet, but the air was still thick with smoke from the distant bushfires.
walking through the long, dead grass, i noticed something a few metres to my left; a small, black and white, furry body. the heat of that day was so extreme, a poor little kitten had died from it.
if i'd had any plastic bags i would have taken the poor creature away, saved him or her from possible ridicule by the local dropkicks (idiots). but i couldn't.

if you read this, even if you're not in australia, please make sure you take care of your pets, whether its winter or summer. that kitten didn't deserve to die, and it probably could have been helped by someone having a water dish on their front steps, or by the owner who didn't try to keep it in the yard.

i've lived in this country my whole life, and it's still hard to comprehend how it can be so hot here.
something to do with the ozone layer, i think.

and i've never wanted to leave more than i do now.
i can't wait to escape this sandpit of a country and go somewhere cold forever.



i'm thinking of writing a poem about Black Saturday, so keep an eye out for it.

i discovered the amazingly wicked awesomeness of RENT last month and it's made me realise so many things aren't worth caring about or fretting over, and i've decided to liberate myself.

therefore, i care even less about what others think of me: if i want to randomly start singing in the middle of the street, then i will. if i want to start mooing and shouting about the desert of cyberland, then i will!
it's a great feeling.
and i love it.
i love and at the same time ignore other people even more
i love my artwork
and i love myself.

so i had a good enough reason
it was SO WORTH IT. if there's anyone who hasn't seen it, well, you should.

don't worry, i won't spoil anything.
not that many people would read this, though.

i'm going again on sunday for my friend's birthday party. woot!


hmm and what else.
i got an A on my art project i could have made a couple of improvements, but oh well. we learn through our mistakes.
i'll take a photo and submit it here once i find my stupid charger for my camera.
grrrr. very annoying. and its one of those special batteries so it's not like i can just buy more.

i should have more photos + artwork up soon.
expect lots of pictures with themes about the Joker

i just finished the painstaking task of organising nearly all of my deviations into those gallery folders on DA..
and i saw how much my work has changed throughout the past year-and-a-bit.

i went from knowing nothing at all, to a Nature phase, to testing angles and shots with myself and sometimes my friend, to more conceptual shots, and then a few small series, and now with my new camera i've found a.. almost a whole dimension (lol) to the photographs.

all this has come about because of the amazing photos and drawings and manipulations and everything ive seen here on DA, so a big thankyou to everyone ive viewed or watched or favourited.

the art on here is fantastic and i hope it gets better.

yeah ok so for us in Oz its been 2008 for almost 15hours..
but i didnt get around to updating this last night.

for the first 30mins of the new year i sat on the roof with my mum and stepdad and yelled hello to people on the street and in cars.

most of them couldnt see us though...which made it even funnier. bahaha.

ooh and its my 16th birthday in one week! 8th of january. i cant wait.
im going to the city on that day, possibly, and then my beach party is on the weekend. should be great!

and im in year 11 this year. eek.
its gonna be so much fun though.

well, its my birthday in 54 sleeps. i mean um..whos counting?
anyways. i've been wanting & needing a proper camera for ages - the 1.3megapixel camera in my mobile phone just isnt enough for some odd reason. i wonder why. *coughPIECEOFCRAPcough*

and my mama said that she will be getting me a digital camera for my birthday!! so im really excited. its gonna be awesome.
so once i get it, im gonna buy a tripod to go with it. and i will take really really good photos.

which also means i may be deleting some of my previous work to clean up my gallery and make some room.

and, if anyone is interested, i do requests - nothing too complicated until i get my new camera, but if you would like me to try a few shots then i'd be happy to. but i will not do requests that involve nudity or anything inappropriate, so please be nice.

its been almost a month since i got back together with my ex-boyfriend. and thats goin pretty good.

and school is, well, school. not much to say about that.
but i cant do photography in year 11 anymore because not enough people applied to make a class, so i changed it back to normal Studio Arts, which is fine and yeah.

i've added lots of new photos lately...my inspiration seems to come in large chunks

hmm what else...well i dont really have anything else to say, so peace out.
