4 months since my story was written, after countless rewrites and preplanning we're finally underway. its a bitch to be a fat stop motion animator cos every little minute move make a difference... especially when ur zoomed in...

oh well, i will post eventually. kinda busy at the moment. have taken a course in black and white photography. kinda taxing but really teaches me a lot abt framing, and the 3d vs 2d plane... which helps alot when im setting up camera angles...

be warned... this is pretty depressing...
i read it to myself every morning, so that i know that nothing worse than this can happen to me any day.

u know ur a tired art student when...
u start abusing red bull and coffee like an addickt... and after one night of coffee and redbull induced insomnia, the next day ur hand starts to shake ever so slightly and no one but u can notice it but urself, and every little ache on your body is ampliFIRED 50 times, ur eyes are not even blood shot anymore, just a darker shade of red....
you walk more slowly, take the lift to save energy and hate to go canteen 2 cos your too tired to walk up from the fountain... so instead u raid the vending machines... but too ur dismay you find that they are either faulty or sold out, at which point you rush to the toilet, locking the cubicle door, and start crying... thinking of every sad thing that has happened to u from 5 minutes ago to 15 years ago back in kindergarten when u got isolated by the other kids cos u were bad at games... u think that the whole world is crashing on you and you cant take it anymore ... trying to stop thinking cos it just makes you feel worse... and then finally when the tears dry up you get up and straighten out ur clothes, and fix your hair, and hope no one notices your swelling eyes...

we went to play footie at braddel heights. got so friggin tired i was woozie when i got home haha. lost my balnce and fell on the stairs, effectively shaving an inche of skin off my knee... interestingly, it didnt hurt at all... my busted ankle huirts more

today we're gonna go paint a mural together with ~halcyondf ~cosifanus ~exeunt and wei qi/// updates with pics soon!

today, we learnt
-some medias work well with others but some dont.
for example... poster and watercolour work well... spraypaint and housepaint not so much haha...
-when one draws a pic in a4 size, and tries to translate it to mural size... even the tiniest things become an issue...
-when working on a project, it helps to hav contingency plans.
-larc-en-ciel rocks even if u listen to them a million times... linkin park doesnt rock that much after playing 5 days straight. rufus wainwright's barcelona is the perfect song to listen to when heading home bead beat.

15-5-07
today, we finished 90 percent of the mural. it looks pretty gd. outlines left... and some cleaning up stuffs...
shit, we still have one spraying part to do, quite apprehensive abt it, we cldnt get good nibs for the spray, so it aint comin out evenly.

lessons learnt
-sleep early if u gotta wake up early for work.
-if ur rushing for time at an art shop, feign colour blindness to get the staff to find the various paints u need (:
-for mural design... it is very difficult to maintain the design, especially if the design was made on a peice of paper one hundreth the size of the design.
-next time, we need to use a3 paper...
-speculate every fucking problem tt might occur.
-spray paint still looks like shit on house paint.
-diplomacy will save us all.
-its depressing to listen to al green when comin back home tired from work. his songs are to beautiful.
-always call ur mom/sis to tell her u'll be very late, or risk a screaming match with her later... one which u will undoubtedly feel guilty abt later.. (emo,emo,emo,emo...emotorbike)

sadly i cant join him cos ive got some family type stuff to do.

btw, 28 weeks later is awesome. awesome score, gritty cinematography, hotties rose brynes and imogen poots. what more cld one ask for... also, one of the most gripping opening scenes ive ever seen, which set the tone for a fast paced movie that is sadly over too soon. the coolest zombie flick ever made... ever.
