I'm going to France next month, we are driving to a little village near the Pyrenees near Perpignan. Really can't wait for that, so close to Spain and the mountains and also not too far from Monte Carlo ;)
Should hopefully get to use my new lens (canon 17-85mm IS lens) new tripod and new filters and should get some decent pictures.

I'm very impressed with it though, its entertaining. I really have to do more travelling, even if its only in GB. I'm a member of the National Trust and I recently got the 2009 guide book which has given me some great ideas for local(ish) places to go.

We stayed in a hotel just outside Honfleur in very peaceful surroundings. On the first day whilst driving into Honfleur we passed a field with a bunker in the field and what looked like the remains of a lot of 'broken' bunkers.

Further along the road we stopped at a carpark for a picnic. We decided to go for a walk as it was sunny and happened to stumble upon some beautiful gardens. I think it was called the 'garden of artists' or something similar. In the garden were statues of various famous artists from the area. There was also a large lily pond which had an island in the centre with a bridge to it. On the island was a statue of Claude Monet. This garden was one of the best 'finds' of the trip and I could have easily spent all day there in the sunshine!

We spent the last day of the trip following the route of the troops from the D-day landings. We saw the Merville battery, the Grand Bunker and the Pegasus Bridge as well as other famous landmarks.
It was a lovely place and one I would love to go back to. Some photos from the trip are in my gallery.

I want to get more friends and more comments, fav's are nice but sometimes i want to know why people like/dislike my work, so how do i get more people to comment on my work?

Has everyone seen Walk the Line? How good a film is that! I've seen a few Reese Witherspoon films and i can definitely see why she got her oscar for this, she is great in romantic comedies (which i love!!) but she just reaches a completely different level with this film, Joaquin Phoenix is amazing as well. Its a really good watchable film! Just thought i'd let you all know what i thought of it!

I'm all excited my christmas present has arrived early! i got an A5 wacom intuos3, so now along with my new corel painter i have to use up some of my inspiration (which is currently boiling over!) and get doing some arts! ahhh if only i had the talent of many of my inspirations have!

anyone who has one got any tips? and someone give me some ideas of what i can do with it to?! i'll have a go at painting using photoshop i think!

I would really like to have an interesting journal that people might actually read!! I enjoy reading about other people's interesting lives. I unfortunately lead a boring life, it does have its minor complications though - and these might be considered interesting to some, but i dont think so. I will strive to be a more interesting individual and i will also try to be more patient in my creations as i am becoming very anoyed with myself for never finishing anything. I have a distraction (xbox) which when i get going on Pro Evolution Soccer I find it very difficult to stop! I am getting my money's worth though.

I have ambitions (dreams) to go travelling, however, I am not expecting to go anytime soon as i am shy, poor, and not very worldy wise! It's all because of the brilliant Brad Newsham, his book has inspired me to dream at least of travelling to africa and asia. He makes it sound so magical.
