It's been at least 3 months since I have been out of the Military (time sure does fly). I'm beginning to adjust to the civillian lifestyle again. Aside from job searching, my focus has been on this upcoming semester for school, which I'm excited about; it's about time that I started up my classes again.
Just thought I'd update my journal and write down my thoughts...for one thing I really want a new computer (a PC would be nice)! My laptop is ridiculously slow...it's such a dinosaur. And although I still receive some visits to my devart page, I'm really not satisfied with it at all to tell the truth. Sometimes I feel like clearing the whole thing out and starting from scratch...but maybe I'm being too overly critical of myself.
Aside from that, I've been thinking about a "possible" new comic project I could work on in my spare time. It will probably involve one of my old original characters that I created back in the day(when I was younger). I'm not making any promises though; sorry,
it's just sometimes I tend to change my mind or I can be a really big procrastinator when it comes to these things. But none the less, I'll give it a shot.

Well, I've added two new additions to my gallery, unfortunatly they are just sketches. I would like to submit more of my work, but at the moment I'm going to have to put that on hold. Since I'm a civillian now, I'm going to have to get used to the life style again. Ever since I've been home, pretty much all I have been doing is job searching. But with the way the job market is these days, it probably would have been best if I did stay in the military. I'll be honest I miss it but that was just one chapter in my life. It seemed overwhelming at first, but I'm not going to worry about it.
When one door closes, another one opens!

Good afternoon...how is life for everyone? It just happens to be my day off and I'm trying to figure out on what I would like to have for "breakfast" even though it is going on 2:00 in the afternoon. Not that I'm complaining... I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Lord knows I needed a break. Right now I'm in a moment of my life where I'm being tested...And whether I pass or fail all depends on the choices I make. One thing I do know is can't give up! On God nor myself; so this trial that I am going through shall pass, I just gotta keep pushing myself...I know there is something out there better for me, I can feel it.
Anywho, I don't know if any of you noticed (or even care) that I've been rearranging my gallery. It's like I have OCD with this thing, if I find something about it I don't like, I start doing the old "switcharoo" with it. Deleting and re-catergorizing certain pictures etc etc... Really, personally speaking I think my gallery is a little boring. And I'm trying to make it as presentable as possible so when people come and visit it they'll be eager to see what I have. Sometimes I can be my worst critic( when it comes to my artwork)!
Well all of this aside, I hope you all have a Happy Memorial Day!!

Update- 01 January 2009

Happy "freakin" New Year! Y'know what that means, It's time for a fresh new start. And you can start by taking yourself to the gym to work off all those calories you built up over the holidays(lol) Just playing. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season...it's nice to spend time with the people that you love. I understand that old aquiantances should be forgotten but when I think back, I'm really going to miss 2008. There was so much that happend in the past year, some moments were bad but they were out weighed by the good times that I experienced. Being stationed in England was exciting enough, but before I had to leave I got a chance to visit Barcelona, Spain with my friends too. Some of the most memorable moments I had were with my friends and even though were all far apart from each other, I'll always look back to those memories we made together. Listen to me getting all sappy here Well, anywho I'm here in Delaware now, seeing what the east coast has to offer. In all honesty, I wish I could be overseas again, but I have to make the best of where I am.
If you notice, I took down the "request" and "comission" instructions, I figured I'm really not doing a whole lot of drawing these days so I can't really make a promise to draw a person a picture if I can't seem to find the time to sit down and do it. Sometimes I feel like leaving DA; I just get bored with it from time to time.
And to GrilledEelHamatsu, I apologize...I read your response and I understand. It wasn't right for me to block you without giving you a chance first. It probably doesn't matter now, but I just thought I'd get that off my chest. I'm not a total jerk it's just I didn't know what your motives were...I can't read minds. When you would call me by my real name sometimes, it really made me uncomfortable especially since I don't know you on a personal level. So yes, I was apprehensive about you visiting my page. But again I apologize for constantly blocking you. I understand that it was an annoyance and for that I sorry. You have all the right to be here on DA as much as I do.

Has it really been that long since I last written in this journal? My tour is almost up here in the UK, so I'm pretty excited and sadden by it as well; but I'll be fine, I can't wait to see where I'm headed next
I've been thinking, maybe it's time that I just do a clean sweep here and start over from scratch. Let's face it, my artwork hasn't really received a whole lot of looks or comments for that matter and between work and life I haven't really found much time to practice my art or begin any new projects. I don't know, I don't seem to have that fire like I used to.

*sigh* I hate having artist block, but this one is to the extreme. I haven't drawn anything half way decent for the past few months now. And whenever I do get an idea it's hard for me to transfer it onto paper. I guess I'm just so drained creatively speaking because I have my career to think about and my physical fitness.
Does anyone have any suggestions or request? Come on don't be shy just tell what you would like me to draw and post here and I'll try my best to get it done. Just not too many now, I can't everything done in one day; it takes time.

Today I received some sad news today. My mother just recently e-mailed me and informed that my dog was put to sleep. What a way to start a morning at work eh?
What's sad about it I wasn't there to say goodbye. But, I guess it's better that way; I guess it would have been a lot worse for me to watch him suffer in pain the way he was. My dog was suffering from severe arthritis. It got so bad he couldn't even move anymore or use the restroom on his own. Well, at least he's at peace now, but I'm sure going to miss him.

Hey everyone, how's it goin'? I know I haven't updated my page for ages now, but I'm so happy to see that I finally got 1,000 hits. I have a lot of artwork I wish to display here, but that's kinda hard to do when you lack a scanner or a camera for that matter. Sometimes I feel like I don't even have a passion for drawing anymore(work can be a real pain sometimes). But drawing is something I never want to give up on. Once I have enough money saved up, I'll buy the necessary programs needed for my computer so I can start updating my page again. Until then, see ya!

Videogames...

About a week ago, I received "Shadow the Hedgehog" in the mail...and I know the game didn't actually sit to well with critics but I actually like this game.
Yes their are some aspects about it I don't like; like some of the voice acting and the camera angles, but over all it's a fairly good game IMO.
The CG movies are really pretty to look at, and the fact you can change the outcome of each ending by the sides you choose was great as well.
The in-game music isn't that bad either; it's a good mix of heavy metal/ electronica/ and standard videogame BGM...there's even one theme in the game that reminds me of a song you would hear in the 80's(Chosen One, which just happens to be my favorite).
But, there is just one thing I have to complain about the game...if SEGA was trying to attract an older aucience by adding swearing and violence by the use of guns then why did they give it a E10+ rating?
Personally I think they got a little greedy, of course there could be another reason for them doing so.

Hey everyone, how's it goin'? Been busy so far with work and everything, but I had a pretty enjoyable weekend so far. I finally bought a T.V. and a Dvd player for my dorm room; I've been watching Darkness Falls and the Chronicles of Riddick mostly(need to get Pitch Black), that and a little bit of Tyler Perry.
Don't worry, I'm still drawing new pieces of artwork in my spare time. Maybe when I get a digi-camera I can take snap shots of my art and upload it here...because I haven't had a visitor to my page in quite a while, and frankly it's a little sad and frustrating in some aspects, but I'll live ^_^;
Well, just giving you all a heads up out there(to any who actually read my journal) by updating my journal. Just be sure to drop by sometime and say hello so that I know that you still care(or alive).
