We leave Thursday for set up day. I always have nightmares about my tent taking flight and sailing over Glen Rock! We stake it down really good, but I have seen someone's tent take flight before.

I was juried in once more to the Spoutwood Farm May Day Fairie Festival! Yay! This is by far my favorite fairie fest. It makes FaerieCon look lame. If you can make it I highly recommend you go, it is just magical. I am giving a "lecture" on the creative process and maybe one on sculpting if they need another to fill time in the learning area. I am slowly regrounding myself. Here is something I have been thinking about; a quote by Brenda Ueland:

"...this creative power should be kept alive in all people for all of their lives...Why? because it is life itself. It is the Spirit. In fact it is the only important thing about us. The rest of us is legs and stomach , materialistic cravings and fears."

I am thinking that once I became a business with my artwork the focus slowly shifted to what would sell and less about just creating in my own voice. Perhaps one of the sideways gift of the recession where things have stopped selling entirely for me is these moments of being lost once again. Disequlibrium is always the state which produces growth. I have the sense that I had been focused on material success with my art and that has given way to fear. Fear that my work is unvaluable, that it doesn't sell, the no one perceives it or me as successful. Fear that I have nothing to say.

Working on a poseable doll, I am going to try my first poseable dryad. Since I have been itching to do some more needle felting, I am going to try a soft and poseable costume. We'll see if it works out!

My old site as of today is still up. SO I haven't sculpted much.

I did work on a few new candle scents: Avalon, the scent of apple blossom and fresh water.
Black Dragon a dark scent, a mix of musk, spice, muguet, and oriental florals.
Dryad, sandalwood with undertones of pine and topnotes of citrus.

They'll be up on my site at the next update...and wen the nameserver changes. Seems to be taking forever, do I need to do some sort of magic dance? Sacrifice some blank CD's?
