So, yeah... I have been gone from DeviantArt for a while again. I apologize, but my life has taken a series of unexpected turns. These turns have resulted in my husband losing his job, us moving in with my parents, and then later moving in with his parents.

I have been living in California Bay Area for a couple of months now after spending my entire life in Texas (DFW Area). It's a huge change, but I do like the more pleasant climate. I HATE lacking independence, but I do love having access to a (mostly) high speed internet connection once again.

My husband recently has found a job... sort of. He is paid per job rather than hourly, and he hasn't had many jobs since he's so new. Of course... the shop still has to decide whether or not to keep him around first...

This is the way life has been. I will do my best to show up a bit more often again, but I can make no guarantees. We are teetering on the point of a knife and things could erupt again without warning.

I apologize that this doesn't say much, but at least it's an update.

Any of yall that have been looking around for me and had trouble finding me lately, I have to apologize. I haven't really been hanging out much of anywhere anymore. I will drop into some of the bigger sites for a few minutes at a time and then go off and do other things.

This has to be one of the busiest years I've ever had. Recreational League hockey is what takes up a good majority of my time, but I've also been hanging out a lot more often with friends than I have in the past. It's been a good thing, but it's been exhausting.

My parents also recently got a couple of puppies, and due to how far from home they work and how busy my brother is during the summer, I've had to make sojourns to their house for days at a time to puppysit for them during this summer. The poor puppies still haven't been housebroken yet, and I think it's largely due to the fact that there is no day-to-day consistency in their lives. When my brother is home, he just leaves the poor puppies in their cage all day, and only ever takes them out to feed them or let them outside because he doesn't want to clean up their messes. It's difficult to train puppies that can't get enough of a habit of anything to decide what they're supposed to be doing.

I believe that's all I have to say for now. I have tons of pictures and stuff on my harddrive, so I may end up uploading something just to have something new. Most of them aren't very good, though. They need to improve the quality of cell phone cameras, ne?

I miss Roliana, and I hope to be able to become active there again someday. Lately, I've been spending my time on a site called Legend of Aurea.

Anyhow, this is where LoA is located if you're interested (it's another avatar/roleplaying site): LINK

Of course, as usual, you can still find me around on Gaia. I'm not as active on there as I used to be, but I'm trying to ramp my usage back up.

If you are trying to look me up on any particular avatar site but are having a hard time finding me, feel free to ask me what my username is there. I'm on most avatar sites that are out there (although, I'm not always active), but there may be a couple that I may not have joined, yet.

If you join it, make sure you activate your account using the email link (contact a mod or admin if you need help). Also, make a post fairly soon after joining. If you don't, your account will be considered inactive -- looking like a mule, and be purged from the system.

I apologize to those of you whose inboxes are being flooded with favourites right now. I just moved recently and got high speed internet for the first time in my life (and I've been online for 12 or 13 years).

I had a lot of catching up to do because I haven't even been to this site in forever. Now that I have an internet connection that can handle art, I will try to be a lot better about keeping up.

I missed out on an excellent opportunity to capture pictures of the first snowfall this year because I didn't have any batteries for my digi-cam. My dad said he was going to bring me some batteries, but my mom talked him out of buying any saying that she "had plenty at their apartment". Unfortunately by the time I actually VISITED their apartment on Christmas Day and got said batteries... the snow capturing opportunity had passed.
I had formerly kept rechargeable AAs at all times, but both the batteries and the charger got lost in moving out of our house and into my parents' house (where my parents only are 1-2 weekends/month if that).
After this experience, I grabbed a new charger (which also charges AAAs... hurrah!) when I went to Target. It came with 4 rechargaeble AAs. I still need to buy more of those and a few AAAs.

I have decided to move back into DA. I left because I was getting so fed up with the random bits of porn that were appearing on the front page every once in a while, and with how only a very small portion of the thumbnails (about 5 out of 40, if that) would load at a time for about 2 weeks straight before I left.
Things seem to be functioning a bit better, now, and I am looking forward to slowly resubmitting the stuff I deleted in frustration before I left. It will be a very slow process, but I will eventually resubmit everything that i still have have on file.
