Thanks everyone for the happy birthday's! It was cool to see all the happy bday comments when I logged in

About my birthday I got a ton of great gifts, but the best one was my family putting together money and buying me a Canon 100mm lens from my friend! Ubeerrr stoked!

I finally got all of my schedule kinks worked out and my online class approved. Now I just have to do it and quite frankly English 4 through Texas Tech does NOT sound fun. , but I have to do it by December along with Government and Economics.

More work than I thought.

But yes, all together a great week.

WHOA!

So I was thinking this year would be a bit easier, because everyone claims there junior year to be the hardest...but I took all my junior classes last year and I am now in senior classes, so I was expecting a breeze...

very very WRONG.

I have had homework galore! We have four classes everyday and we do homework in class, then we do almost double that amount out of class. Now along with massive amounts of school work...is work. Oh man don't even get me started.

I'm in a photography class this year, so my hope is that I will be forced to have time for my favorite thing in the world [besides my friends ]

So please be patient as I get my life organized and figured out...it may be a while before I get into a steady flow of things. Things are crazy around here.

Hey everyone

Yes it has been a while since a journal has been written, and I do apologize for this chaos. I have been very busy and really not even around much, but I am slowly getting back into the swing of things

So the first order of beez-wax is this poll we are all hearing about, . `princessmorgan is holding a poll on whom should get a free subscribing! So go forth and do your deviant duty and VOTE for the one whom you feel is most deserving. Many of you know that I am pimping out someone that I feel is extra deserving...buuut I have chosen not to say here so I will not skew the voting process. Although, I am sure that you will eventually find out whom I am campaigning for!

Like I briefly stated my life is hectic at the moment, school is a drag , and I have been busy with family stuff. But for all those of you that are not of a church or of a completely different religion, I simply wish you Happy Easter Egg Hunting and Egg Dying!

I am also trying to get back on track with featuring and such. So I am asking for your help! If you know someone that you think deserves a full feature, tell me in a comment here! Also I am looking for a new newbie of the week. To qualify for this feature they have to be less than 6 months old here at dA and also have less than 1,000 pageviews. Exciting News!!!

Hello Everyone!

You know what bugs me MOST?
Well, perhaps not most, but it sure does bug me a lot! Is when you go on the site of the manufacturer of your computer. In my case, I needed help about my Mothers laptop, it had a spaz attack. Ok so, Gateway. I go on there 'tech chat' and the guy tells me this, 'We can send you a new laptop, Alicia.', and I am thinking, why in the heck would you say that BEFORE you even try to FIX it?! So I calmly said, 'I would rather have you help me to try and fix it so I will not lose important files and such.'. Okay so thats all fine and dandy, BUT THEN he starts trying to sell e upgrades?! I left, and eventually solved my own problem.
The point being, help just isn't help anymore. The only way you can get TRUE help, is from a person.
And let me just say this, if anyone ever needs any help, I always here to help. No matter what, because I know what it feels like to ask, and get nothing but crap back, and I am purely tired of it.

On a different note...
This place is called deviantART. Why are people not being deviants? I want to see more deviantness!

And one more thing! I am in the process of getting done with my personal website for showcasing and selling my photography! So stay tuned The wonderful =iceytina is making it for me! And she is doing a GREAT job!

Now you can go about your normal lives.

I love fashion.
I live fashion, I breathe fashion, I am one with fashion!
I love going window shopping to Channel, Gucci, Prada, Betsey Johnson, and soo much more!
I just dont have it.
And I love fashion, diva looking photos!
I love to see it.
So here we go, a mega feature!

Here it is, 1:07, the first day of 2007. Wow, How things go by fast, seems like it was just yesterday when we were ringing in 2006.

My 2006 resolution was to be more responsible and get a feel for moving out. I succeeded, I now know what it takes to get out there on my own at an early age. I am proud to say that I have kept every new years resolution I have ever made. A lot of people cannot say that, thats why I am pleased to be able to.

Now for this year. I want to be more like, me. There is a lot of things that people do not know about me. I want to improve myself so that everything about me is exactly I want it to be. So I'm not ashamed of me or my past. I want to be more confident in myself. I have a theory, a few people whom are reading this know. I want to live for that theory. Because I suggest it to others, but I myself have not practiced it. This all ties into, Me being a better person. Now, better person is different for everyone. What my definition of 'Better Person' I am not sure yet. But I will for certain figure it out as I go through the wonderful year of 2007.

Here is a list of accomplishments I want to happen in 2007:

Get accepted to LSMSA
Volunteer More (Hospitals, Nursing Homes)
More Community Service (Things like cleaning up highways or beaches)
Display Leadership (I need to create a project that will prove my leadership)
Get involved with photography workshops around town
Apply for several different summer programs held at college campuses
Get at least 10,000+ in scholarships, grants, financial aid
Start another 1500 CD
Get NASA internship
Take ACT and score 32++
Take SAT Subject test (Math, Biology, ect.)
Take AP World History Test
Raise GPA
Raise Funds for Nazarene Youth Conference
Lose 10 pounds
Put together a formal portfolio
Get website up and running (Oversee it rather)
Improve current SAT score
Become more family oriented
Strengthen relationship with God
Get a serious relationship
Become more fimilar with my 300D
Get better with photoshop
In General, be more helpful
Overcome PMS
Be more deviantART involved, by being deviant
Become popular, but not because of things that you see in tabloids, for doing something helpful and wonderful
Become more optimistic
Throw another fantastic New Years Eve Party for 2008!

If I think of anything else, I will let you know!

I hope all of you reading this had a great evening, I hope that all of you superstitious folk have fun eating black eyed peas and cabbage today! And that all you people that drank way to much, to have fun with that hangover! And to everyone else, cheers for being realistic.

Its a Wonderful Life.

Wow. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so a device that creates a picture must be worth millions and billions to the point uncountable, right? I sure think so. I had almost given up on my camera arriving today at about 9, then I heard a truck, so I thought I would check my front porch one last time (for about the millionth time), and there it was. A box so perfectly wrapped with clear tape. With my name on it. I grabbed it and ran to my room where I notified everyone that it was here.
Sadly in the rush, I accidentally stabbed myself with scissors, and I started bleeding really bad...So I had to fix that...but after that, I opened the box and a sense of pure "wow-ness" came to me.
I did not have a clue as to what to say, there was not a single physical default nor a functionality default. It was and is perfect.
I don't know what to say, but thank you! I simply love it. I am gonna be reading manuals for the rest of my life , but I am in love with my new Canon 300D.

Thank you everyone for your support, your donations, and your help all around.

The New Deviant Program - Information

I have been wanting to get more community involved recently, probably becuase this community has become better and better to me. I feel that I should be giving back. Lots of people have helped me, people have helped me with simple questions about things i could have looked for in the FAQ's all the way to helping me be able to purchase a new camera! I would say that this community has done more than I should ask of them for me. They still graciously give there time and support.
So nowI want to start a little program of my own. I want to eventually do more, I just need some time to think what. This poped out at me! Why not help new deviants?
Yes, there are clubs on top of clubs that welcome new deviants and give them links, but I want to do more than that!
I want to start a program that new deviants can sign up for, and I can help them personally with there questions about dA, also I want to be able to help art with art. Of course I cannot help out with things like painting, drawing, ect. but I can create a list of resident artist that are willing to give some time to one new deviant and help them until they feel comfortable with the communtiy.
I would also like to pair up new deviants according to there most loved art medium so they can help each other out and also be on there way to meeting the great people with the community!
So here is what I need from the great artist that have been a deviant for a while:
I need at least 2 people from lots of different art mediums that will be willing to help just one or two new deviants, when I say help, you need to be willing to give them help about the site, the community, be able to introduce them to great artist of thier medium, and help them improve thier art. So I suggest that if you want to do this that you know your way around the site and such.
Secondly, I need supporters! I just need people who would be willing to stay in the chat and just talk to them, just give them a friend and leave a comment of encouragment to them everynow and then.

If you are interested in doing anything to help out, please note me!

I will be making a chat soon.
I will also be directing new deviants to a new account I will create soon, after I get people who are interested in helping!

Please consider this, it is a great oppertunity to help out the community!

The BIG Day!

Ladies and Gentlemen...
Today is a very big day for a very good friend of mine. Im sure you all know who it is, `princessmorgan. As we speak she is doing a massive shoot with a couple more great photographers from dA! (check her journal for details)

Also it is a BIG day becuase I finally got some print sales and the money I was originaly going to give in the camera fund account! I didnt think that would ever happen due to my banks retartedness. Finally I got 168 dollars in there. So our total should be around 300!

`princessmorgan is the one who has the true total becuase she knows exactly what is in the paypal account after fees and everything. So be checking her journal for the exact numbers! She always post how much came from where to, in case you were wondering.

Well thats all I have to say for now. Maybe an edit or two later.

No camera = No Progression. But well on my way to

Yesterday afternoon I went to talk a couple photos of me and my friends for personal use, when my camera would not turn on. I tried batteries and various other things but i eventually learned that something burned up inside of the camera, literally. I for a fact cannot afford a new camera on my own due to personal problems financially and emotionaly, but I am currently trying the best I can to raise money. I know that without a camera I will not be able to increase my skills and knowledge of photography, much less go to the already paid for photography school next year.

Due to this I am asking for help. I have set up various accounts elsewere to try to promote my photography more, and sell it. I am asking around the same price as dA for the prints, a little more due to shipping and such. At any rate, I am honestly doing the most in my power that I can. I also have donated every cent I had of extra emergence money to this. Though it is not a lot of cash, it is something, and even dollars help at the moment!
If you would like to purchase a print from me, or help in any other way, note me and we can easily work something out!

`princessmorgan has done and is still doing a TON to help me out with this. With her help, many others have already said they are going to help out, and although I might not know all of those people, I am thanking them now, and I will find out specifically who they are and thank them even more in the future.

Once again. I am doing everything I can to help myself. Please do not say I need to earn it and such, because I agree with you, and I can honestly say I am trying. If you cannot help, just say so. I will understand

I have not been around dA much in the past week, i am aware. I am sorry for that. I have still been selling prints other places. I now have raised 143. Plus the generous donations, I will get a total up here soon. For more details on the donations, check in `princessmorgans journal!
My bank is a credit union. A very idiotic credit union. They can only do paypal transfers once a month. Meaning I have one chance every month to get my money from my bank account to my paypal account. This is ridiculous I know, but it is the way they function and I am apparently no execption to the rules. So I ask that if you are thinking about purchasing a print from me, or have already decided to, please do it fast! I dont mean to be pushy. Buuuut. considering the circumstances, if you know that you are going to purchase from me, I am going to encourage you to send your payment as fast as you possibly can. I want to get enough money into the paypal account to get that camera. That way I wont have to wait another month just so I can make the transaction. Please don't think me bad saying im being pushy, becuase im not. lol. im encouraging you to speed your thinking process up .

and i am not allowed to get a new camera unless my current or past photography can pay for it.

Feature Presentation + Life

Everyone needs to read this! it is very important to this community! It is a journal by `schemata-69, here is the [link] PLEASE read, like I said, it will benifit you!

Also let it be known I think that what is stated in that journal is very over done, so I have only read it and done nothing further to promote it, until a certain friend of mine said I should. I guess I should have in the first place...but other than this, nothing is happening. So read it people, I dont care if you have heard it before. Read the damn journal. And read this one too while your at it.

heh, of course I am, and i learned from the best!

Soon I will be 15 years old. That may not seem like very much in the grand scheme of things. But when I just site and think about it...I have been a part of something for 15 years!! Even though I havnt ever known anything but this big thing I have been apart of, it is still incredible. Becuase what I have been part of is God's plan, not only for me but for others. And it just brings tears to my eyes when I think about it.

This weekend family is over, so starting sunday..today. I wont get to be one very much. Oh well, family comes before dA sorry yall.

I know this isnt much...

but i just wanna say this...

yesterday was the worst day of my life, but the best all at the same time.
i had a crapy day at school, nothing seemed right.
i walk from here to tibbukto when im at school.
i have all of these hard classes.

later on that day...

i was telling my friend about this guy i dated....
we walked in to a restruant, and there he was..
i wasnt sure if it was him or not due to failure of putting contacts in.
then i hear my phone ring, and it was him.
(hes so adorable)
so i laughed, and we met each other half way.
he was with somone, but once again, could not tell who.
then he introduced us..
and she was his girlfriend.
go figure.
you see.. i have avioded this guy so long. because i knew that would happen, and i just didnt want to see or know about it.
so me and my friend decide to leave..
later on me and this guy talked..
and it was good.
i mean i got everything i needed to say out, but i mean..
ill never know what he really thought.

after the restruant me and my friend went to church.
i could not stop thinking about him..
then i was thinking that the whole reason this was akward today,
was all my fault, i set it up.
i broke up with him, for a stupid reason.
and now that i have been with other guys...i realize he was great.
he wasnt a jerk or anything.
so i got to thinking about my friends...
and I thought long and hard about Kacey..
(we have been ignoring each other for 8 months...and because of a guy that was a jerk)
so when i get home after church, i IMed her, and worked everything out.
seems like we both needed to say somthing but didnt know how.

moral of story...
when somthing or somone comes along that you think is great...never let go.
you may think you want out of that relashonship, but a year later.
you will regret it..
just stay with it.

I think it is wonderful. Some people are saying they dont like it..there are issues with it. I think, its new, there are still glitches, get over it. It will be further changed in the future. Also more features will be added on.

School is starting Thursday!
And my schedule is crazed!

Oh and just so everyone knows. I am going to apply for Louisiana School for Math, Science, and The Arts. Obviously I am going to apply for the art section. For photography! I think it will be great fun! But in order to have a much greater chance of getting in, I must broaden my knowledge. I need to expirement all different kinds of photography. Most people have a niche, what they are best at. If you are best at, what I need to learn, you will most likely be hearing from me. If you wish to help me or not is completly up to you. Im just letting you know!

Like I said earlier, feature will come tomorrow, its almost three in the morning, and I am pooped!

Hey everyone! Get ready for a massive journal! I am pooped, working is hard. Good thing it is only for another 7 days! In all I will have about 1000 dollars, and we all know what that means...new camera for alicia! im sure you feel my exitment .

That gets me onto another subject. RESPECT! Some people on dA tend to have no respect now. I think that is horrible. Starting from the beginning....Most of use have heard of the Golden Rule "due onto others as you would want other to do onto you" it has different dialects...but its saying...dont bash someone or someones idea, if you dont wanna get bashed back! In not saying anything else, Im just saying...remember that!

Oh and if yall remember my last realy journal talked about going to the Texas Hill Country. Yea..that didnt happen, gas prices changed for the worse, but why am I suprised? So that is one trip that has gotten "pushed back" in other words not gonna happen. If yall havnt noticed I am in love with nature, but there just isnt any in Houston. I hate it hear, no were to go to just calm down. I mean theres Galveston, but its polluted, and kid infested, and well. I dont have any way to get there. So I guess my nature photography will be limited until gas prices go down, and my father finds a new job. I hope to expirement more with macros!

I hate tagging! If you havnt seen this yet. It is when people 'tag' others. They write something about them or leave a large comment that has a heart on it or something. This is not myspace people! It isnt xanga, it is not a blog of any sort. It is deviantART! ART...is not tagging. If the site was named deviantTAGGING I would be ok with it...but its not.

The Solution
I am going to start a Art Tagging Chain. This chain I hope will continue and knock the normal tagging out! I know that is alot to ask...but I will ask it anywyas! So if somone Art Tags you..CONTINUE it! When you are tagged in your next journal you must mention the person who tagged you and a thumb or link of your favorite piece of thiers. Then pick who you wish to tag, and pick your favorite thumb out of there gallery, and post it in a link or a thumb! Sound good? Tell me what you think!

i have a job now.
9 hours a day.
standing up.
i am very tierd.
i do hope you understand why i am not on alot at the moment.
the job will be over in 2 weeks.
this is temporary so i will have cash for my camera!
then comes school
i cannot let my grades slip this year!

..:My News:..

My week has gone great! It was my once a month hang with family weekend . We went blueberry picking!..like every June. We had to go a little later this year, due to family issues. So sadly there werent as many blueberries, they were all picked over. Also people had been damaging the bushes. So nothing was photo worthy..it was sad. Moving right along..
The The Fourth of July is this Tuesday! the only problem is..is that is raining now there will be no firework shots like i had planned! O well, later i plan to go buy sparklers and have my own mini show! lol
I am planning a short trip to The Texas Hill Country. Although I have lived in Texas for the last 6 years of my short life, I have never ventured there! It is beautiful. my grandparents have been there alot. The largest city within the regoin is Kerrville, in Kerr county. I have although been there. just for a night, and it was late. The part I long to see most of this region is the Colorado River! It makes about 6 Lakes, the biggest being Lake Travis. Lake Travis is wonderful so i hear. It is completly clear! That doesnt happen much in Texas so I am delighted to soon be seeing it. Sadly most of this lake is surrounded by neighborhoods and private property. So I dont know just how much of this site I will be able to see. Im hoping at least enough to get my fill of its beauty! I will be gone for a week for this fantasy, but I am not sure when I am going. I am going with my mom, grandma, and my great aunt. So its kinda like a girls vacation . So it depends on thier schedule!
If you read my last journal and the weekly planner, you will recall I had planned on going to the Houston Galleria today, obviously that did not happen due to this oh so delightful weather.
Last major issue..
I am a minor, der. So I cannot have a print account. On the other hand, I thought that I could start a website, and start a 'print account' there. It would obviously not be directly through dA. But I would offer the same offers. Only for prints though. Not all of that mug, puzzle, mouse pad, ect. stuff. I would not know how to offer that to you. I would offer prints on the almost anything you request. Some I would not like to sell a print of for personal reasons. Do you feel that my art is good enough, and do you think people would buy it?

This week has gone very very well! The first semester of summer school is now over! whoo hoo. Sadly...there is still one more semester to go! In case you did not read my last journal...When I am at school in my spare time I can get online. Obviously I will be here on dA. There is one downfall, it will not let me full view things. Sad I know. Sooo just know that durning the week if you comment me, I might be a little slow in returning the favor. I usually like to full view before commenting and such.
I am very sorry that I have not been on much this past week. I have been rather busy. I am tyring to figure out ways that I can make money. So far I have been collecting allumium cans. The recycling price just went up here. Its now .80 cents a pound and there are 34 cans in one pound. I know its not much, but everything helps. I am also starting to detail cars! This is bringin in about 70 dollars per car! So it should not be too much longer until I am able to buy a new very nice camera.
Speaking of camera. I have been reading reviews until my vision is blurred..and I have found..nothing! It seems it is just a matter of opinion. I know the main debate between millions is...canon vs. nikon. well that is the same battle going through my head now. I would love to hear from you if you have used both and know why you personaly like one over the other! It would be great help to me!
This past weekend I went alot of places and got some great shots! I went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Houston Farmers Market. Doesnt sound like much...but I got alot out of it! I will post thumbs later in this journal.

This week has been intersting. I have summer school now as you all know. I am able to get on to dA and comment, but the server is incredably slow at school. So I cannot full view things, sometimes even normal view. Only thumbnails. I also cannot get on chats from there, not sure why. Sorry everyone. So at that timeI will be on the ShoutBox. I know people that are addicts to that, so its ok .
I won third place in the 'Twist' contest from *WordoftheWeek with interlocking twist! Thank you for all who voted for me.
I have LOTS of new ideas for photos. I just have to find the resources! I have some good ideas for portraits, nature and landscape, and new water droplet photos! So be looking foward to that.
Sometime soon, as in when i get money, I will be investing in a tripod, a 500 watt light, and maaaybe a remote for my camera. Hopefully this will result in better photos for my water droplet expirements!
I know I have been talking about going to a butterfly pyriamid latly...and still havnt. But i really think I might go tomorrow! My Granny is in town, so I think we might as a family go. Still a great opertunity for great shots!

My life is going good. Summer school is easy. Havn't had homework, so it hasnt really interferred with my art, so far. I have got a few people lined up for photos . So hopfully that will come through, and soon!

ok let it be know, i am not EMO! this is a very old account, I left changed came back. Everytime i go into a chat room (even if I have talked to those people before and explained it to them) they are all like 'omg leave you emo person'! oh thanks guys. its getting rather annoying. it makes me want to get yet another new account, but i dont wanna lose everything i have done here just because people listen to the media and think emo people are horrible! even if i was emo it wouldnt matter! emo isnt bad, all of my friends are emo, guess what there not depressed, they dont mutilate themselfs, OMG could this mean the media is LYING? do you friggin people acctually listen to the media? good job kids!
Moving on..
summer school is staring soon. so I will be gone from 6am-1:30pm(central time)! so I will not be on as much as i would like for the next two months. but I will be on, I am just taking a computer class to get ahead, i already know everything i need to know about computers so I doupt I will have to 'study' much outside of those hours!

My Life: I am just barley here....i dont want to do anything! I just want some time to think! But to bad I cant do that. So here I am tryin to make the most out of it. But that is kinda hard to do wen you live with Mr. Negitive! I mean today I was perfectly fine until he came! He started to like not want to go out to eat(his idea) and all this stuff. Then he does not like the way I dress! And then all this other stuff. So in conclusion(WOW big word) I am kinda annoyed! But not atanyone here!!!

Not that great! Report card came out today.....it was ok...i mean i passed all of my classes!! But 70 or below is failing! And I got a 71 in L.A! So I think my mom is kinda mad....but I can't really tell! But this semester it is going up!

Ok as you may have been informed November is almost over! So I am trying to think of ways to make the next mounth December kooler and better! And I think I have got it!

I am thinking that I should have a contest! I am thinking the winner gets a subcrition (not sure how long)! Or if you have a better suggestion for a good prize put it in the suggestion box! (or simply send me a note!)

It revolves around christmas! For the written categorie it must be a christmas theme. For Visual you can either do a take a picture of christmas(or your thought or impression of christmas)

2 Categories:
Written: Poetry, Prose, ect.
Visual: Drawings, Photography, Digital Art...get the picture?

Rules:
*You can only enter the contest one time in each categorie. That gives you a total of 2 entrys you can enter.
*It must be your art!
*The art must be done just for this contest! You cannot take something you did 1 year ago and enter it!
MUST have your DA account name!
*not doing/breaking any of the rules will get you DISQUALIFIED!

Dates:
Must be submitted by: December 25 (will take entrys before)
Results Posted: January 1 (hopefully! If any delays it will be posted!)
