I've decided it's time to break out a new, ridiculous journal skin (with Google Fonts!).

The idea behind this skin was for it to look like a blend between a page in a book and a quote.

But really, this is a fun skin. Whenever I post a new one, I've got to save that individual version because I have to change all the margins to get the title in the right place below the body copy.

I've just ended a week long vacation of doing nothing, and man... doing nothing is 100% as awesome as it sounds. SXSW is stressful. Lots happened, and for the last 3 days I was there, I really learned how to enjoy sleeping.

It was also a big blur, most of the time, I was operating solely on caffeine and the protein supplied by terrible convention center sandwiches.

I had a good time, met some awesome people and did a lot for dA (outside of driving everything to and from Austin, which I also did with the help of :devmoonbeam13: and :devjorobins:).

I introduced a bunch of people to the site, and demoed dA muro for a few visitors... one of whom works for Martha Stewart Living. It'd be really awesome to live in a treehouse. Not one that's really high up in the trees or anything like that, but maybe 20 feet off the ground. The house would be mid-century modern in design and furnishings (like the stuff you may find here), and it's largest sides would face east and west. It'd be a one level design, not too large. Maybe 1000 sq ft.

It's not for us. It seems like it is because we've been the people asking for it, but it's not "our product". It's something for everyone else, and that's what Apple needed.

The backlash I've been seeing (and propagating myself) is a direct result of this misunderstanding on our end. We felt like it was Christmas morning and the present with our name on it was given to our older brother. I've been trying to better myself lately. Instead of sitting around all the time, getting to know the people at the local fast food places by name (not at a good thing, I assure you), I've been trying to eat right. I've also been trying to find a way to exercise in a way where it won't feel like exercising. I've found out that, if I consciously try to exercise, then I won't be able to keep it up. I'll find some reason to not want to do it anymore. However, if I build it into what I already have to do, then my success feels far easier to attain.
