Made a slight update--took down a few devs. Why? Because some were gifts, and I only wanted to display them for a short time anyway (it's not as special if EVERYONE sees it ) and the other few really just because I really disliked them. I don't even know why, there was just something about them that made me...wince. A lot. There are more of those in my gallery, but I won't take them down just yet simply because I still like comparing them to my current work to kind of chart my progress. =] So, yeah. I've been sketching a lot lately, and doing a little writing, so I may or may not be posting something soon. I guess we'll see. =] School has been keeping me busy, but I'll make an attempt to keep the page updated every once in a while.

OK, I gave my DA page a much needed facelift tonight.

Submitted a couple things.

Cleaned up a WHOLE lot of things.

Swapped out my ID.

I deleted a ton of deviations that were either too old or...Well, if I disliked them. One or two were taken off so I can polish them and hopefully repost them at a later date. I left a lot of the old deviations up, even though I don't like them, just so I can keep looking back and charting my...artistic progress. =]

Work on my project continues (see screenshot for details.) So far, so good! I'll try and get a few more traditional pieces up on the site once I have the time to scan and retouch them on Photoshop. Lately it seems that my scanner loves to botch everything up. In addition to the drawings and all that, I'm looking forward to typing up some more writing from my notebook.

Oh, and just a quick question--does anyone want to read more of Jacinthe? I'm most certainly not grubbing for compliments or being modest here, but I'd like to know. I could swing either way, but if the people want more, I'll write more. Well, let me know.

And one last question: What kind of writing would you like to see me do/post on DA? I really am open to all genres and styles, so feel free to suggest what you like. More historical fiction, poems, philosophical rants, stream-of-consciousness pieces, modern general fiction...whatever!

Peace out, deviants!

In other news...er, not much! I've started a couple small projects in writing and art, but I'm not sure how far I'll take them. Just kind of laying low with art right now, waiting for the next big idea to hit me on the head and start me into a frenzy!

Since I have some free time on my hands right now, I'd love to do a collaboration with someone in art OR writing. Best to seize upon my free creative energy before I tie it up again! =]

Hello once again my artist friends!

I haven't updated in a long time, I know. But my computer has been offline for a while and I'm borrowing my brother's. No fear--it will be back up on Friday and I plan on updating with a bunch of new art and writing! Yay! =]

In the meantime, tell me about your summers, people. I need some compensation for the lack of IM conversations. Especially you, Maaike. Well, and the rest of you. Drop me a comment.

As for my summer, it has been fairly uneventful. Been getting lots of R&R, doing some art, some writing, some reading. I've been hanging out with friends on occassion, which has been very nice. The last day of school was fun, as was senior portrait day and Marian's surprise party. The last one was a blast--thank you to Nikki & Co. =]

I adapted a screenplay based on an F. Scott Fitzgerald short story and plan to email it off to all the Fremontians once my computer is back up. Keep an eye out for it! Otherwise, catch you all later!

Oh, and what classes are the Fremontians taking next year? Am very curious. Have forgotten entirely since the end of school.
