Okay, so I finally got pictures up, as you can see! They aren't of horses, but they are pictures, none the less. A big variety, actually. This summer has been very busy and hectic, so everything got uploaded at once. Some of Mexico from June, some from Summerfest in July, and some from painting in August. Not much else to say though..
Life is getting complicated on me. Falling in and out of love, dealing with friend issues, working all the time, not riding..it all sucks. But I've taken to looking on the bright side, and it's helped. A lot. But you really don't care about my life, so I won't bore you.

Enjoy the uploads, because I have no clue when anymore will go up. And until next time, have a great rest of summer!

Yes, I'm still here. I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth. I'm still sitting in lowly Wisconsin. And I still sit here without pictures. Things have been hectic, and they will continue to be so.
I have AP tests in May, as well as Prom, and then exams in June and another SAT. Then we're going on vacation to Mexico, and then I'm going to see The Fray at Summerfest, and things just keep going and going.
BUT I know that I'll get pictures of Mexico up for sure, so pictures will come in about two months..OH! I do have some horsey pictures coming your way. My mom took the camera out to my lesson a couple weeks ago, but I have yet to find time to go through the pictures. They are still on the memory card, I'm too lazy to upload them to the computer. But maybe I can get them up soon.
Otherwise, life is . . . life. It has it's ups and downs. Riding has been going great. I've gotten some different mounts and rotate through them, most of them are Thoroughbreds from the track. Maybe I'll get back into showing this summer, though I don't really know what I think about it anymore. And racing has started! That's always exciting for me, I really enjoy following pedigrees and such on these youngsters. And I already have my favorites for the season, so my fingers are crossed.

Hope all is well with everyone! Check back for pictures eventually!!! :]

See? I promised I would get some pictures up! Okay, so they're not of horses, but horse-less pictures are better than no pictures at all!
I plan on keeping this entry short, as my fingers are ice cold from the cold snap us Wisconsin-ites are having. It's been below zero for two days and is anticipated to stay that way for a little bit, not to mention the wind chill is fourty below zero.
Anyways! Pictures from Spain are up! Yay! Only a select few have made it, but I like them, some of the quality isn't all that great, but it was sooo foggy in Spain!
Everything is going well here. Exams are coming up, so I've been spending lots of time with school and such. Ew. American Idol has started, so that now occupies my Tuesday and Wednesday nights if I don't have homework. Otherwise it's normal for me.
Hope all is well with all of you!
Enjoy the pictures! (Critiques appreciated!)

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I hope all of you had an awesome Holiday and that you got everything you wanted!
I have the same old news for everyone: no new pictures. I know, I know. Shame on me. But, I can honestly blame the weather for this one. :] Living in Wisconsin has its advantages and ovbiously its disadvantages. I haven't been to the barn for about a month and a half because the weather has sucked. Everyday that I was supposed to lesson or rescheduled my lesson for, the weather has been extremely crappy. Either we had a blizzard, or the plows haven't gotten to the roads, or my car was frozen shut [or better yet, stuck in the driveway], or it's been wayy too cold to ride. This past Monday, I was supposed to go out to the barn, and it was -2 degrees Fahrenheit outside, with a windchill of -27. Yeah, I'd say it was cold. It sucks. I'm not made for this weather.
Anyways, my doggie is recovering extremely well from her surgery, we got to take the cone off her a couple of weeks ago, and I know she's glad, because now she doesn't run into things. :] And when she got her staples removed, the vet said all was well, and now, I'm taking her for fifteen to twenty minute walks, which is way ahead of recovery schedule, but I got the all clear from the vet, so I guess she is just a good healer. :]
I leave for Spain on December 30th, and am extremely excited!!! I should be able to put up some pictures from my trip. I'll be there for eight days, so that should give me a decent amount of time to get some photographs. I come back on January 7th. But I'll miss two days of school and will probably be extremely tired from the trip, so don't expect anything right away. :]
I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year, and hope your Christmas was everything you'd hoped it would be!

Alrighty, so, things are going really good for me. I ride yet another new horse, Ike, he's a Thoroughbred, and beautiful. He's the most goregeous dark chestnut color you could imagine. And he's an exellent mount. His transistions are smooth, he doesn't rush a course, and I don't need to carry a crop, which rocks my world. :]
Let's see...I'm hating the cold weather with a passion! Yesterday was our first little snow storm that made the roads icy, and it took me over an hour to get to the barn, for what is usually a 20 minute drive! It was ridiculous! Not to mention my car didn't warm up until over halfway there, so I was cold most of the time.
So, we scheduled my dog's surgery for next week Tuesday, the 25th. I'm kind of excited about it, actually. Even though it'll be a lot of work to deal with, but when she heals it'll be worth it, and she'll be so much happier.
Otherwise, I think that's it! I'll try to put up an update after her surgery, and maybe I can throw some pictures up here - there's a hunter show at the barn this weekend.. :]

Stay warm!

Wow! I haven't updated in forever! So, time for a recap of my life, since September. :]
I was on crutches for a while, to make a long story short, I jumped off a swing and landed horribly wrong. But that put me out of riding for a little over a month.
But now, things at the barn are going incredibly smoothly. I switched mounts, so instead of riding Flair, I now ride Chadon. He's an Arab cross, jet black, and in his late teens. He's a really nice mount, though. His gates are smooth and his transitions are flawless, and he's a spectacular jumper.
Now that winter is approaching, things are definately calming down at the barn. But I'm only out there at night, so getting pictures is really hard, but I am trying my best. But I don't have lots of extra time to hang around the barn either. School is taking over most of my life, and it kinda sucks. But with winter comes Christmas, and I'm extremely excited for it this year. :] So I'm almost welcoming the cold..and the fuzzy coats on our favorite four legged creatures. :]
Speaking of four legged creatures, my dog is three legged for now. She tore her ACL in her knee and she was doing great on alternative treatments, but all of a sudden she's taken a turn for the worse. She can barely walk, so she's down to three paws, and I have to carry her around a lot, and she's 75 pounds, so it's not working out all that great..So, we're looking at scheduling surgery for her in December or January, but until then, we'll be saving lots of money for it. The cheap end of the surgery is a little over $4,000. Which isn't cheap at all.
But otherwise things are really good. I'm almost up to full speed on my ankle, and I have had my camera out for my photography class, I just haven't been able to use horses for my subjects, but hopefully that will change soon...
I promise not to dissappear for this long of a time again! Hope everyone's enjoying their autum season! :]

I was stuck in a bad spot, and couldn't get any closer to the fence, so all my shots have the stupid fence in it. Yuk. There will be no pictures for a long time...I had my last lesson at my barn last week, and now my trainer has officically moved. I have yet still to go out to see the new barn, but from what I understand from the directions, it'll be about 20 - 30 minutes away from my house, which is kind of pushing it, espically with gas prices as high as they are... :/

But hopefully everything will work out for the better...

So, to recap, no barn currentally, so no pictures. And I'm not sure when I'll ever get some pictures up...I seem to be losing interest in photography, but I love looking at it and commenting on it, so we'll have to see how everything plays out...until then, have a great rest of the summer everyone!

My current barn was bought, so now my trainer and all of her horses are moving another 15 minutes away. Now I just have to convince my parents to let me stay with her, because I absolutely love her and her teaching techniques and the horses. And last night I had the best lesson in the world, on a brand new horse I've never ridden, we warmed up and jumped a course right off the bat, and we did pretty good, knocked a couple of rails, but we still did good. So one more lesson at the current barn, and then we're gonna see how far away the new one would be, and make the decision from there. ugh. I was just starting to get used to this barn. But I have a feeling everything will work out.

So for now, that definately means no pictures, I'm just not feeling it anymore, anyways..but we'll see..

Otherwise, everythings going good. I'll probably update after I move barns or something..

And it still won't let me change my mood, so ignore the relief..

So I can garuntee that there will be no more pictures for a while. I'm just not feeling it. To be honest, I've been extremely depressed lately because I lost my first pet.

On Wednesday, May 21st, I had to put one of my best friends down, and it was the hardest decision I ever had to make. My cat, Tiger, got very unexpectedly sick, and after an emergencey visit to the vet, the worst possible news came out. She had a cancerous tumor and was extremely ill. The vet basically said that if we were going to let her fight, he would have to be really aggressive with the treatment, and even then, he said her odds weren't that good. So my parents left me to the decision, and even though it killed me to do it, I couldn't let her suffer anymore. With a heavy heart, I held her close for the last time, and all I could do was tell her she would be okay, and cry. She had a really good life, though, she was fifteen, which is a really long life for an indoor/outdoor kitty.

Tiger now rests right off the patio in our backyard, and I'm looking for a place that will engrave a stone with her name on it, so I can forever mark her resting place.

It's still really hard for me, and I seem to be isolating myself, so I probably won't be on DA for a while, and definately not taking pictures for a while.

Okay, so I know that there are no more pictures up here yet, but I couldn't help not updating. My last couple of lessons have gone amazingly.

I ride a retired Circut A Hunter Jumper who used to race too. Her name is Alise, and she is goregous, but she can be such a bitch sometimes, pardon my language. :] She has this whole been there, done that attitude and thinks she is way too good for what I have her do, but truth is, she hasn't been ridden for a while, and is definately not ready to jump a course or anything close.

So we've been doing a lot of flat work and recentally we've been working on collection in the trot and canter and last week at my lesson, which I have to say was my best lesson ever, she was being the biggest brat in the world and was going way to fast for what I was asking her and my trainer was yelling slower and stuff and Alise just had enough and the next time my trainer said slow down, she stopped dead in her tracks and would not move again, and trust me, I had spurs and a crop and she refused, but after we got moving again and were working on collection in the canter, she once again, was refusing all of my cues I was giving her and was throwing her head in the air and stepping out, and you could tell exactly what she was thinking which was something along the lines of all innapropriate words. But she was just being a general pain in the ass, and you could tell that Alise really wanted me off, and she even attempted to run away with me a couple of times, but her attempt failed, which I'm glad because I fell off for the first time a month ago when she ran away with me, and I'm determined not to let it happen again :]

So, I promise for sure this time, pictures will be coming soon! Even if they're not all that good, they are going up here!

Okay, so I lied. No new pictures, turns out the arena lighting sucks. I seriously didn't think it was that bad, but I guess it was. So all my pictures stink and none of them are going up, in fact, they're getting deleted from my camera. I'll have to wait until the weather gets warmer and the shows are outside, then I know I'll have good lighting...unless the weather hates me too... :]

Otherwise no new news. I probably won't be updating for a while, or atleast until I get a couple random pictures up here...so you'll just have to live without me for a while... :]

So I had my first lesson in six months today and I think I could cry my legs hurt so bad. But I know the worst is to come tomorrow morning, so I'm kind of dreading the morning. But it was a great lesson, it was all on the flat, and it will be on the flat for a while until I get used to the horse and my instructor and until she gets used to me and sees what I'm capable of. My lesson horse was a half Arab crossed with a quarter Morgan and a quarter Friesian. He is a gelding named Flare, not sure how old he was, but I'm guessing he was in his early teens. It was really weird to ride a fully trained horse, usually I can never truly relax when I'm riding because I was always trying to train my horse.

Anyways, there is a schoolng show this weekend, I'm not riding in it, but I am working and I hope to get my camera out and take some pictures, so I hopefully will have pictures up by next weekend.

Yay! So I finally found a new barn! And I think it's perfect! My friend boards her horse there in the winter and absolutely loves it, and I've been out there numerous times with her, and I'm hooked. So on Saturday, we're going out to pick up the forms and such and then going to the local tack store to get me a new pair of paddock boots and half chaps. And I'm pretty excited about getting new stuff, except, I have to pay for it, so, that's about $250 out of my pocket, but it'll be worth it. And next week sometime, I start my lessons! I haven't ridden in over six months, though, so I know I'm going to hurt really bad, because this instructor makes you sweat like no other, but I don't mind, I like being sore and sweaty after a thirty minute lesson :] But I cannot tell you how excited I am about getting up in the saddle again. I swear, I will never, ever go six months without riding. It's like a part of me is missing..

Anyways, I should have some new pictures up within the next couple weeks. I'm really excited to get my camera out again, but I'm sure I'll update before I get pictures up to let you guys know how my lesson goes... :]

So one of the reasons I haven't put any pictures on here is because my camera wouldn't download them to my computer, but my mommy fixed it, so I am back in busieness! Anyways, living in Wisconsin, we get tons of snow, and I think this has been a record setting year, so on the last couple snow falls, I took my camera out and experimented with lots of different snow pictures and such.

Things are still busy around here though, so I have yet to start lessons at the new barn I was looking at, so no equine pictues yet, but I am hoping to get out to the barn soon to take pictures of my friend and her horse, but I'm sure it will be awhile before I get out there. But as soon as I get more pictures up, I'll update!

Happy Valentine's Day! <3

Okay, I just want to wish everyone a happy, healthy, safe new years! I realize that this is cutting it a bit close since the new year is four hours away [my time...] but I figured I should do it.

Anywho, I've decided that I dont like my camera. It's not a photography camera, its the kind of camera you stick in your purse and pull out for quick photo-ops, so I think I'm going to be using my mom's camera. She never uses it except for swim season, so she can take glorious pictures of me swimming and at meets and stuff, and it's like a $7,000 camera plus a really huge interchangeable lens and a pretty good size add on flash, [because I mean, why use the stuff on the camera when you can buy another $5,000 in add ons before my mom knows if she really needs it all?] that my dad bought for her, so why let it go to waste? She's not into photography, my dad just thinks that bigger and more expensive is better. So anyway, I think I'll be using that from now on and keep my camera I got for Christmas in my purse. Hate to unload all this useless information on you guys, but it feels good to get it out because in some ways, my parents are absolutely stupid.

So. Long story short - I'm using a new camera. I'll be taking pictures as soon as I'm comfortable at the new barn and the adjustment happens, and the excitement calms down.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and Holiday!

As for me, mine was wonderful, and produced a brand new camera for me, a Canon PowerShot SD750. The newer series of my old one. And I can't wait to get it set up and try it out. I have also recieved a few equine photography books containing tips and helpful hints, which will hopefully make my photography stronger and will help me see horses in a new light!

I am still in the process of finding a new barn, but if everything goes according to plan, I will have a new one in a month or so and I should start to have some more pictures. I am also going to start straying away from just horses to horses and riders in my pictures, so we will see how that goes...and, from now on, all of my photography will be of hunter/jumpers-absolutely NO western riding!

Anyways-I hope you all come back soon and see my new pics that will hopefully be up very soon!

Okay, so I used to have an account on here but never did anything because I didn't have time, but now that I'm not working 24/7 and I have school under control, I've decided to give it another try.

All pictures on here so far are from this past summer. I am in the process of looking for a new barn to start riding at, but as soon as I find one-which, if everything works out, I already have-then I will start to get more pictures up here.

I am also going to start taking pictures of shows and lessons and such to get riders and their horses instead of just horses in the pasture.

If you have any suggestions to my pictures or of something to take next, speak up, and I'll see what I can do. I can take criticism, so give it to me.
