I was kind of "wtf i didn't order anything", but then I remembered that I made 3rd place in the Pimp the Positive Stamp Contest and should get a DevWear button Pack.

So I opened that thing and you might think I found that DevWear button Pack... but noo, there was another button pack _{and a sticker, but that's not important}

My first thought was wtf, ~RuddyCat wanted one of that normal buttons, what should I do? _{She'll sure have that face of that red pin and will kill me as soon as she's normal again}
But than I noticed the damn awesomeness of these emoticons I'll just stick that on my even more awesome devArtists Bag and everyone can notice my mood emediately kind of this way...

Just a new Journal ...

Hey everybody, it's a long time since my last journal, just because nothing realy important happened. But because I want to make that old journal leave my frontpage I'll show you some pictures of my awesome workplace

As you might know I moved some weeks ago, so I rebuild my pc a bit, got some new Speakers *yaj* and have to use w-lan now. One of my cows _{call me weird, I have a bunch of plushi-cows} holds my wireless stick, so it's not that bad I think.

_{here she want's to eat a magnet-star or something like that... but now she takes her job really important}

_{perhaps someone want's to look at my computer ... If you're one of them here u go}

Okay... since I should do something for school (yaj, historytest tomorrow ) I'll let you alone now, have fun

it'll end in round about 8,5 hrs and it's currently impossible to upload my film, because the categorie inside the upload section is gone. I have to drive through half Germany tomorrow so I cannot stay awake and look if a Film-GM responds to my message in time, cause I don't want to crash the car into something else

So if a Moderator finds my note and looks here, I'll come back online on 07:00 a.m. MET // 22:00 p.m. PST (I hope I calculated right ^^). I will try again then again or will be able to respond.

You might be a bit confused by the cause that I'm updating my journal this early... but I'll be not at home over the weekend so it has the same effect as if I'd write something on Monday :>

So I decided to write this, ~~but my photoshop stopped to save pictures in jpg format... awesome! Does anyone know why it's unable to save in 50% of formats today? gwarsh~~ fixed

luckily there's this "Save for web..." stuff which allows me to make jpg images, a bit slower but okay, here u go ^^

...was neither great nor bad... it has ups and downs and everything... kind of weird Hope yours was great
Nevertheless I'll tell you about my film project first... it didn't run smooth last week, and this week wasn't better ^^

day 8 - Tuesday 2009/01/27

_{what you know this picture already? no wonder... today I was mainly doing the same as yesterday... but only by myself ^^}

Had to make the rought voice acting to be able how long every phrase takes, so i can animate it... Have to do it once again next week, but that time together with the georgeus female voice
I was just too stupid to speak correctly so it took me hours to do this... I'm just too talented today xD

day 9 - Wednesday 2009/01/28

_{my second screen arrived yaj for productivity increase ^^}

Testet some more animations, some pretty cool effects and finished about 10 more seconds... not much but okay for one day :>

day 10 - Thursday 2009/01/29

The sun was shining while walking/driving home, the sky's blue... great after the last weeks of greyness :>

but gwah! Have to learn lot's of stuff for tomorrow. I should have started some days ago but... I did not. Damnid

day 11 - Friday 2009/01/23

Blue sky again and all tests done for now (did not that well I think, but it's okay ^^). Perfect to animate hu?
NO. I have no time. life can be evil :evil:
So... I missed my train by 10 seconds or so _{okay I did not everything to catch it ^^}. But that means that I had to wait half an hour inside the station. And that's nice for making photos/training longer exposure times *yaj*

Animation Project

Some of you might know, I decided to participate in the One Act and Play Contest cause I think it's a realy great opportunity for ~~someone who is to stupid to think of his own story~~ me. Sadly that Contest got my attention only some weeks ago, so I don't have so much time left (exactly 30 days of production), what means that I will not be able to deliver the quality I'd like to, sorry about that in advance.
There's also a bad thing for you about that: I'll not upload new deviations the next weeks. But that has something good as well: You'll get more journals xD
I decided to tell you every week what I did every day about that project. So _{cause I dunno what I should say anymore} here u go

day 1 - Tuesday 2009/01/20

Hell yes! I'm finally able to start my project, did plan the first 2 scenes already, so I can directly start to animate
First of all I looked after the depth of field effects I could possible use and found some, was kinda impressed of after effect's power once again. After that I drew one leg for the character to use in the first take, what was no problem after all.
The big problem came after that: I had to animate that leg walking. Ever thought how your leg and foot exactly moves when walking? It's kind of complex and because I had no experience with the animation technique I wanted to use this time I had to try quite much...

_{much lines and curves... but nothing great :/}

sadly I'm not happy with the result after all but didn't work so long as well...
hope I can improve faster tomorrow

day 2 - Wednesday 2009/01/21

hoping was of no avail ... this steals motivation xD
but I had not that much time and the day in general was already weird so... let's see the next day

same as yesterday ^^ nevertheless this day was fun xD

day 5 - Saturday 2009/01/24

mwha found some time again!
I was able to make a walking animation which looks still quite weird, but it's possible to recognice it as walking ^^ Added loads of blur and lighting overkill to make it not that visible xD Let's see what the next day and scene will bring :>

_{the walking looks like robot, but when it's a screenshot it's even including that much blur and light quite cool, hu?}

But first... look what I've got now... 6 secs film in 5 days. If I keep up this speed I'll be finished in... a year?
Have to work a bit faster I suppose ^^
But cause I get more and more into this type of animation I'll get faster anyway hu?

day 6 - Sunday 2009/01/25

yej Sundays are great... you've got time over time ~~and nobody wants something from you~~ ... especially when it's relatively early when everybody else is still sleeping ^^
I got a new scene almost done, trained a lot on lip sync and so on. I was especially proud of the hairs animation I was able to achieve in some parts
It's everything not that great but I suppose good enough ^^

day 7 - Monday 2009/01/26

_{trying out the voice acting xD I thought it ran okay, but no one else thought that way so... let's try again another day

After having recovered after partiing being at home again I can wish you all happy 2009. May the new year bring happiness and everything you wish to everybody.

As you should have noticed I'm working on a css for my Journal, but it's not running that well. So there may or may not be some weird things right here (haven't tested it with much browsers yet), if you notice something where you're not sure whether it should look the way it looks notice me about that

I only want to note things you should be able to see here 2009:

live!
I plan to make my future (3d)deviations a bit more lively. Everything I made until now featured nothing in it which might be actually alive. Changing this will take much time, so don't expect such a thing in the next weeks.

Animation!
I also want to make that things move, in form of short animations or short films, you'll see what'll happen.

Artworks!
I want to make some more drawnings or drawn elements in my deviations. Perhaps I'll upload my Concept-Papers anywhere as well, dunno yet.

Photography!
I'll upload some more photos for the next weeks cause I need time to create all that stuff mentioned above. That might be nice if you like the photos I'm making at the moment (in this case you should visit my flickr profile which needs a bit more love...), but I don't like them that much. _{they need more live I suppose ^^}
I'll think about what I'll do with that in the future, if anybody out there has an idea for me, Let me know

Can you make this and that for me?
You want to have your character adapted in 3D? You want a photo workovered? You need a short animation for something?
Just ask me about that, if it's interesting I might do it, or if it's boring but i can do it in no time I might do it as well.

_{This photo manipulation for example was not that easy, but also not that difficult. It takes some time, but the result is great so I did it. You can have normal people on a photo as well .}

I found a camera ... an incredible sick Canon AV-1 ^^
So aehm ... i got the pictures back yesterday, but half of the film (yeah it's that old )is gone! buhuu
unluckily the back half where the better pics are... but I have 2 or 3 non cg pictures to upload now wheeeew

And I only have one exam left ... I could hug you all atm ^^

Bwah I dunno what to do at the moment ... I want to blob some 3D Footage together with real Photos, but i have none ... and i dunno if i should use pictures from round here, even if they (the creator[s]) would allow me if i ask ... cause they thought their own things creating it and i don't want to destroy that :/
That shouldn't be a problem, because i should learn for school, because i have my final exams in a few weeks ... but learning things you don't like to know and knowing you don't have to know them in your entire life sux the hell!

You know that feeling don't you? you want to do something and you >have< to do something else ... and you do none of it ... just idle

I finished my first serious manga picture for the World Ends with You contest!!11 (realy great game. Played only the Japanese Version and understood not everything, although it was great ) I don't believe it is good enough (the pic, not the game Oo) to get a price, but think I've improved much since the first character which looked a bit strange ... (he is uploaded here too) Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions. :>}
