As for my various projects. Well, no promises. Look, I really want to continue Slyce of Life. But I want it to turn out really well. I want to be proud of it. So I dunno if I'll post any more pages up, but I will be working on them. As for Surface, I'm in the process of getting an art style down. I had a style I really liked, but just recently decided to change it yet again. So if that works out, I'll start putting pages up ASAP. I have a few other projects in the works, but those are the ones that are closest to actually being posted here.

Anyway, to get familiar with my new tablet, I will be doing a comic (yes, another one). I dunno how long it will be, but I'm doing it entirely digital. It's going to be called Surface, and it is a horror comic. So keep an eye out for it, cuz that will probably be my next chain of Deviations.

In other news, Slyce of Life is on hiatus. Why? Mainly because I need to do more planning on it. I kinda hit a wall because I rushed it a bit. So I'm going to do some more layouts and writing so I can have this thing planned out better. Actually, I'm planning on doing a couple different series with Slyce. Slyce of Life is the first one, and there are 2 more planned out. But like I said, I need to do some more precise ironing out so I can make it go smoothly. But when I'm done, Im going full speed with it. This is a project I'm really passionate about, and I wont let it die!

And I'm totally to be going to San Diego Comic-Con this week! I've never been, so Im really pumped. Hopefully I can attend some really cool events and grab some cool swag.

Also, if you guys haven't tried out the new Portfolio thingy here on DA, definitely check it out. I was totally impressed with it. For a free, ad-less feature, it's awesome. Though mine has nothing on it yet, heh.

Anyway, think that's about it. Hopefully I'll have some cool art to post when I get back, since I won't be bringing my laptop! Have a good week everyone!

Some of you may be wondering where Slyce of Life has been. Well, it's on hiatus. I have the next few pages planned out, but the layouts are kinda...odd. I don't some aspects of them. So I'm gonna rework them. Once I get it planned out the way I want, work on it will resume. In the meantime, I'll probably just be doing random art like you guys have been seeing.

Also, just wanted to let all of you know you're awesome. Thanks for all the support you guys have ever given me, it really means a lot! ^^

Moving on, I'm being lazy and not working on page 4. I really need to do that. I've been busy though. Experimenting with Photoshop and what not (see my latest 2 deviations). But tomorrow, I'm going to do page 4, I swear! Maybe even page 5 to make up for the delay. But for now, tonight will be devoted to more PhotoShop play.

And yes, I have been looking at them ALL. Though recently, I have't been leaving many comments. Really, because of 2 reasons.
1: My comments can get pretty repetitive. It may be nice, but I doubt anyone wants 50 message notifications all saying 'awesome job, this looks great!'.
2: Well, some of this stuff dates back pretty far. That being said, I don't want to make a similar comment on an old piece when some of your newer stuff looks wayyyy better. That's just weird.

Anyway, Slyce of Life page 3 is up, and page 4 is in the works. You have no idea how much I have learned about gas masks, just from trying to do these pages. But research is good, I suppose.
Also been trying out a lot more on digital painting, so maybe I'll get some of that stuff up soon.

Anyway, not much else to say, except that it's bed time for me. Adios!

If you notice, 2 things are missing. Featured artist/deviation, and Manga Character Directory. Well, like I said last journal, my Rebels manga is taking a backseat and has been put on hold for now. So there isn't really a need to have that up anymore. As for the Featured part...honestly, I was going through my friends too fast, lol. Every now and again I may put it back up, but for now, I'm gonna try and keep it less frequent because I was already through like 1/3 of my friends. So no featured for now. Maybe next week.

In other news, I'm currently at 380 Deviations left to view! That's pretty good, I've gone through about half of them already! You guys have put up some awesome stuff since I left and have really improved!

-Number 1: Why haven't I been on?

=Well the answer is pretty simple. I didn't have anything to post. I got these 2 like half size sketchbooks I've been doodling in. Practicing art, etc. But they are all really rough. I haven't done much stuff worth putting up here. But I just used all the pages in them up, so now I'm doing more actual finished work. Which will be going here.

-Number 2: The conflict manga has been scrapped. Honestly it was just made to get used to manga Studio and making manga in general. By page 5, it's mission accomplished, so that's done with.

-Number 3: Projects.

=The Rebels manga I had made references to in the past? Definitely something I want to do, but it's taking a backseat right not. In my mind, that is going to be my Magnum Opus. Seriosuly, the ideas I have for that project are HUGE, and I don't want to try doing it now, cuz I'm not good enough, straight and simple.

=However, I do have a webcomic I am making. This will most likely show up here within the next 2 weeks. And I have been sketching some concept art for a different site, which will go up as well.

-Number 4: I WILL be looking at all of the stuff I missed, and leaving comments on most of them It's just what I do to kinda say sorry.

-Number 5: Back to regular journal format next post.

Right, so I know I havent posted much in a while. Ive been pretty busy with a buncha things like schoolwork, and trying to finish up some anime series and a game >.>
I have some stuff drawn, I just dont think they are dA worthy. And I kinda wanna finish this Conflict manga before I post anything else up. And I havent been able to open up Manga Studio, so that has left me at an impasse as of late. Next week I should be active again.

Ramblings
Ok, so Ive got a lot of creativity hanging around my head and Ive been trying to get it all drawn out. So there are two projects Im currently working on at the moment. They are both planned mangas.
One manga is tentatively titled 'Rebels' and that is where all the OCs in my gallery are from at the moment. The other manga has yet to be named and Im still sketching characters for it. The unnamed manga is probably going to start getting in high gear though, since I wanna try and start on it before Rebels. But I am going to finish the Conflict manga excerpt before I start posting anything else up. Right now it looks like itll end up being around 10 pages.
Anyway, so Im gonna go back to drawing now!

Right, so Im officially on the verge of being broke. Which isnt exactly a good thing when you are in college. But oh well, my paycheck this week should help out. Sorry I havent posted anything as of late, I have a bunch of stuff scanned, I just need to color it, which Ive been really lazy about.
I also have to play Warriors Orochi 2 and Rock Band 2, which I just got.

So AWA was awesome in pretty much every aspect. Heck yeh.
I blew around $250 there...which I shouldnt have.
Anyway, even though I spent that much, there were a lot of things I wanted to, but didnt, get. Most of them being art books. I got 2 while I was there, and they were $50 each. But they were so nice, I didnt mind spending that much. They contained art from the Shin Megami Tensei game series. Kazuma Kaneko does some gorgeous art.

1. I'm a terrible procrastinator, and pretty much will put stuff off as long as possible. Especially if its schoolwork. In fact, since Im in college, I usually do some homework the day of the class. Yeh, not good.
2. I'm too ambitious for my own good sometimes. You know this manga I'm planning? Yeh, Ive been developing it for about 4 years now, and Ive documented over 40 characters for it. Im trying to cut that number down, but I kinda like having that many characters.
3. I have started, but havent finished, about 6 TV/anime boxsets including Lost Season 3, Noein, and Samurai 7.
4. I can shop for hours, given that Im in a comics, videogame, or CD/DVD store.
5. I really, really wanna cosplay as Beyond the Grave next year (in his OverDose outfit).
6. Ive tried a bunch of different styles before settling on anime. I began wanting to be a cartoonist, then moved to comic art, then moved to anime.
7. I actually draw a LOT more than the stuff I post, but I have pretty high standards for my stuff so barely any of it makes it to my gallery =/
8. I enjoy watching reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond, the King of Queens, and Still Standing after class on weekdays.

So I probably will not be able to get online this upcoming weekend. The reason being is Im going to AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta)! Itll be a really fun time, and Ill hopefully be able to nab some cheap anime/manga/artwork

I was going to cosplay as Roy Revant from the anime Solty Rei (if you know who Im talking about, you freakin rock). Look him up on Google or something, hes awesome. But I dont know if I can manage it now, since I was supposed to go and buy the stuff for the costume today, but 2-D Design project + It's Alywas Sunny in Philadelphia season premiere kinda took up too much time. So well see.

Gah Ive been so hard at work drawing. In reflection, in the past few weeks I have really improved! Mostly its because Ive been coloring more with Photoshop, and now Im a lot better at cell shading. The next step is to get better at hair details with Photoshop, which Ive been experimenting with. Ok, well back to drawing!

I keep seeing all these people that can draw better than me, and I wish I could do art as good as they can! But, instead of beating myself up about it, I'm just practicing more. So I'm officially addicted to Too Human, a new game for the Xbox 360. The game is just so much fun and the setting and story is awesome. Been playing pretty much nonstop. I should make some art, since I'm home for the weekend. Which reminds me, commissions are now open! I'm starting out by opening up 2 slots at the moment. You'll see em at the bottom, first come, first served! Anyway, in terms of posting up some new art, I've got some stuff in the works, but nothing is done yet. Most of the stuff is lineart or sketches. But do not despair, I'm hard at work on them!

College is a LOT busier than I thought, my art classes have so many projects and homework! My other classes are pretty easy though, so I suppose it balances out.
Anyway, on the side Ive been doing some art, though Ive been too lazy to color them, lol.
But thats beside the point! What I really wanted to say is that Ill be making some changes to my journal entries, as listed below!

Changes:

Every 2 weeks I will have one of my friends featured in my journal along with one of their pieces of art! This way, I can broadcast some of the really cool people I watch!

Im FINALLY gonna start some drawings for my planned manga. Ive been putting this off long enough, and will finally be getting some character sketches up. Look for a description of the planned story in another journal.

Im going to be opening up commission pieces for people. Yes Im not that great of an artist, but I figure itll help my practice by drawing different stuff for you guys! So look for that soon.

Possible subscription. Im looking into to it ATM, and I think it may be worth it. However, I want to make sure I get better at art before I decide to do this.

So I may not be on dA tomorrow .__.
However, while in college, I will have a ton more free time! On Monday-Thursdays, I'm done with classes by 1:45 pm, and on Fridays, Im done by 10:45 am. So this will give me a lot more time to get some creative works up here on dA!
I will miss my dog though...

Oh, and by the way, I wanna give a big shoutout to ~Wardy306 for making a piece of art for me! If you ever want me to draw something for you, dont hesitate to ask! ^^

Anyway, Im going to be deleting/scrapping some pieces soon, so dont be alarmed if my Deviation count suddenly drops.

Why, you may ask? (Or not)
Because I feel that some of the stuff I have up here just isnt representative of the art I am now capable of. And therefore, I dont feel it really belongs on my page as a Deviation. Because I'm not as proud of it as I once was. I know I can do better.

Ok, so in other news: If anyone hasnt seen my Nymph or Shadow Jester pics, basically I will be doing a lot more fantasy styled artwork. The reason being that I am making some art for a friend, who is attempting to set up a card game. I am the official art guy, so ive gotta make art for cards, mats, and deck art

Kinda a lot, but it keeps me motivated!

And another thing...I have had a sudden addiction to strategy RPGs. I dont know why, but it has happened, and it has inspired me to start drawing a lot cuz I love the artwork in SRPGs!
And um...Im working on looking at everyones deviations, Im at 2,253 left to go. I WILL look at them all, I promise!
And one more thing...I just got a MacBook about 2 months back and have Photoshop CS3, so some of my submissions will actually be digitally colored. Yay again!

I havent posted anything up in way too long. I havent even looked at any of my friends deviations, which I truly regret. I havent even been online for about a year. As my 18th birthday approaches (Wednesday), I have realized that in some aspects of my life, I have let myself down. DeviantArt is one way I have done that.
Why, you may ask?
Because DeviantArt is something I really wanted to be committed to. It's something I really liked and wanted to stay up to date with. I really feel I have no only let myself down, but that I have also let my many friends on this website down as well. I am truly sorry to everyone.
I now have a laptop, so that will make getting on here easier for me. I promise I will get back on here as much as possible. That I owe to all of you.

2) School and finals...I had to take time to make my parents think I was studying...lol...Im serious though...

3) Vacation...immediatly after school got out, I went on a 7 day long cruise!

Anyway...the highlite of my Xmas gifts was a 20 gig iPod and the game GUITAR HERO!!! which is totally awesome BTW...

I made Liquid and Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid), Dante(Devil May Cry), Soma Cruz(Castlevania), Sasuke(Naruto), and Beyond the Grave(Gungrave). Im planning on making a Cloud and Sephiroth...but does anyone have any suggestions for characters I should make?
So, I got some art in progress currently (I know I havent submitted anything for a while-sorry guys

)...I have so many ideas, yet cant bring myself to draw any of them...I dont know why...
Well, the Thankgiving week is upon us...my Uncle is comin down to visit us, hes super cool and super funny!

Cant wait...Well I got some new stuffs to tell everyones, so gather round....
Well, started buyin a new anime series called Samurai Gun, its Ok...not the best by any means, but still pretty cool nevertheless.

I GOT SOUL CALIBUR III !!!! Its a really fun fighting game with a really, super deep character customizing system, its so awesome, highly recommended for anyone who owns a PS2 ^^
Yep, also got another anime series called Nightwarriors: Darkstalkers Revenge, an old anime series based on the fighting game Darkstalkers...its a fighting game with monsters and stuff, really fun, though I dont own it

An anime based on a fighting game with monsters like frankenstein, a mummy-like character (as seen in Marvel Vs Capcom 2), a couple of vampires, etc...JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN ^^ Highly recommended for anyone who likes action anime

Wow, I just reviewed all my new things without even realizing it...shweet

And now my big question of the journal: What is everyone dressing up as for Halloween(or are u not dressing up at all?)?

Hooray for 3 day weekends! Im actually getting some art done because I had no school work to do over the weekend! I have a bunch of art laying around in my room, but Im so lazy and I keep forgetting to scan to post them!
...But I have a lot of Works in Progress...I still have to color a lot of my pics...since I dont have any comp programs like photoshop...

But whatever.
I saw A History of Violence on Friday, which was pretty good, but had some sex scenes in it that were really out of place that the movie wouldve been better without...The story was good, but the execution was off...
I also saw Flightplan yesterday...and that was pretty bad in my opinion...
Anyway...Ive gotta go get to work on more pics!
