Its also hasn't helped ym friend constantly introduces me to new games that constantly distract my attention _{my currently distraction is Dragon Age, which is a truly awesome game if you can turn the graphics right up, if you like games like oblivion and morrowind for god sakes get it}

Also uni is quite hectic still, though I don't have as many lectures I have extra added joys like a class test in a few weeks and a trek up and down a hill which when combined with the buses knocks 2 hours out of my day...every day.

But apart from that all is well

Also spent at least _{I kid you not} 4 hours and thats 4 of us working cleaning the kitchen yesterday, using every cleaning agent known to man _{¬¬ and I tell you, don't trust the cillit bang, it lies, it lies} And we still haven't finished, I swear the cooker has never ever been cleaned. :S We were chiseling the dirt off *shudders* We still have the cooker rings, oven shelf and what we assume is a grill pan to do.
The we can tackle the shower room *oh joy*

But apart from that the flat it quite nice now we've sorted out and cleaned up some rooms.
I have no idea how the last tennants lived like they did though ....


Uni starts properly next week so we have plenty of time sort stuff out But thankfully moving up hasn't been the complete disaster I was worried it would be.

Good news is I have a hotel now booked for the expo at the Ibis, I need to order tickets though. As for cosplay I will be Konishi from TWEWY on Saturday and General Klaud (casual outfit) on Sunday. I'll also be in the masquarade Sunday with the DGM group _{and I'm more than a little nervous}
We do have some floor space going at the hotel, if you're interested in somewhere to crash either Friday or Saturday night please note me ^^


Progress on my future cosplay of Chrodechild is good, the top needs detail added and need to be sewn together, and the left arm armour needs detail added and painting. The sword and scabbard should be done at easter with a few other sword projects.
Future cosplay plans include black mage Rikku from FFX-2 (and if that goes well, expect a whole host of FFX-2 Rikku outfits _{well some of the less revealing ones} ) possibly Klauds second outfit.

The hot weather recently has made me quite lethargic, I haven't been doing much really.

Cosplay-wise I've been working on my Klaud cosplay, though I only have to finish the top and style the wig (I say only ....) as I have all the things I need. I'll post update pics in my scraps as I go. I haven't started working on Konishi yet, though I have most of the materials :S

I plan to go to the DGM meet in Hyde Park 1st August as Klaud again, I'll be in her casual outfit as the summer looks to be quite hot. Hopefully it'll be as great as the last one. If you're interested in going please contact

As for swordmaking, I don't have any plans yet. I'd like to make the daggertail from POP:TT, I've planned it out and may start work on it next week but it'll be a reduced scale version, I think a fullsized one would break under its own weight.
We'll see how that goes

Also been working on and off, so hopefully I can earn some money

Other projects include my second attempt to grow some bonsai trees, which is already going better than my first in that one seed has started growing. >_<
I'm practising wiring branches on my other 2 acers that live in pots in my garden. They aren't quite bonsai trees at 6" each but its better than nothing, they're also been a tad neglected so they need the work.

It was meant to be Saturday but my Dad said he could pick me up this evening
Its not that I don't like my uni room, for what I pay its brilliant, not to mention I get a much better deal than the people on campus (in my opinion)
its the people I have to share with.

I don't want to deal with the mess in the kitchen anymore, and the coming home at I don't know what time drunk, or the loud music coming from god knows where.

If I could share a flat with people I like I wouldn't mind....¬¬

But hey exams are over and I'm going home now. My shoulders (whilst still a little red) are no longer hurting from the sunburn and thankfully my face wasn't sunburned at the expo(because lets face it, sunburn on one half of my face and only where I dodn't have scar makeup on would just look weird

I'll picking my sword up from paddington tuesday hopefully so I'll get that back

So yeah, I have no more uni until October

Cosplay plans include making a Konishi cosplay from TWEWY and Klaud's casual outfit, this time with a wig so it should look much better.

The expo was great, though I'm a bit unhappy because after finally managing to buy a sword I put it down somewhere in paddington station on the way home and lost it I was so tired by then I didn't even notice I left it somewhere for about 10 minutes

I'm so very sorry I couldn't be there sunday as well.

As for cosplays, I plan to temporarily retire my klaud cosplay mostly because its takes hours to put on, its very uncomfortable to wear currently and having worn it for the past 2 expos I feel its time for a change.

Don't get me wrong I love the cosplay to pieces, its my fav so far. But I need a break from it.

Future cosplay plans are to cosplay Konishi from the world ends with you, however other suggestions are more than welcome. Anyone any ideas?

I also plan to start making Klauds second outfit, but that will take time and I need to find an alternative way of doing the hair that doesn't involve me wrecking my hair to pull it off.

Not helping at all with my attempt to make Klaud's second uniform, though really what I'm concerned about is whether her uniform is black and red just like other exorcists or black and gold like before?
Sadly the coat I wanted to use is too small( though not too small to wear ) so I mean to use it as a template, however this means I need to go home to get material so thats been delayed. Hopefully I can get started on stuff after exams at the beginning of june...

Nevertheless I would like to make some sort of start on collecting materials etc, as I'd like to start making it when uni ends (about 6 weeks next week, which sounds a long time but will probably go really quickly)
My current theory as to what her outfit looks like is thats its a similar length to Kanda's (thanks to sadisticmasochist for the pic (top right)-> [link] ) with some sort of belt, black boots and black trousers, from the latest chapter -> [link]

My question/request is: do you know of any other pictures of her latest outfit, i think there might be more but i'm not sure, and if you know where they might be in the manga (even roughly) it would much appreciated ^^

This also lead to the problem that I need a long black coat (that isn't wool other i'm going to die from overheating) because my sewing skills aren't good enough to attempt what looks like a long black fitted coat not if I want it to look ok.
Ok, hopefully I have a black fitted coat I can alter _mutiliate into something resembling klaud's coat when we get more pictures

Back to uni this weekend, 2 weeks of lectures, 1 weeks of revising, 3 weeks of exams and then my first year of uni is over

Though I will spend most of it working/revising as I have my final first year exams in may. :S
I've enjoyed uni so far this year though, my only moan is about my currently flatmates ¬¬ But I have 6 weeks left to go after easter and after that I never need to see them again. I have other flatmates for next year and a different house and I can't say how much I look forward to it...

As for cosplay and swordmaking etc, thats all on hold. 3 weeks is too little time for me to unpack all my stuff out the loft.

Expo-wise, finally I have my exam timetable and it official, I will be coming to the expo saturday. Hopefully in my General Klaud cosplay again, but it all depends on whether I can get somewhere to stay friday night otherwise the hassle of cosplaying will be too much, especially with a cosplay like klaud9.
But I will be there saturday.

Also who reads DGM and bleach, and who like the new chapter? I think they're pretty cool Though the whole ichigo getting a powerup was entirely predictable, he still looks pretty damn cool

Woke up at 6:30am , mostly because I was supposed to have an 8:15am lecture. I knew it had started snowing last night but didn't realise it had settled

Walked around town at 7:20 taking pictures with a friend, no buses seemed to be running so we decided to skip first lecture ¬¬ Because getting up that hill in time would be a complete pain, we knew the notes where on the website.



Met up with some more friends in town and we all decided to go up to uni, mostly because its up a huge hill and there should be more snow up there.




Literally half way up the hill we found out all our lectures had been cancelled which was good because we'd already missed one.
And we kept walking.
Ironic that the one day we didn't need to be at uni was the one day we wanted to be at uni.
On the way up we had a snowball fight with some random workmen, and 2 boys in a tree. Honest I had no idea who they were. but it was fun

Spent the whole day on campus building snowmen, having spontaneous snow ball fights, ambushing people and general fun.

Twas a truly epic day...

Term restarts on monday, and i go back to uni today, and this will be be my first semester of proper university modules as opposed to some new stuff mixed mostly with a-level.So its going to be interesting i guess. My new timetable looks...ok...better than the last one but then anything is better than that. Though i am very annoyed i don't finish until 6pm on friday and have a 5 hour break on thursday, i'd rather get everything over and done with.
We'll see though...


Also managed to get the new prince of persia off a friend and have finished it.
I'm kinda disappointed with it and glad i didn't pay for it.
The scenery is beautiful, I like that elika actually stands up to the prince and answers back, the story is great but...

1)My first complaint is about those damn lightseeds you have to collect to give elika more powers, its long, its boring. The best way to do it is to collect a few from the main area, then choose the most complicated route possible to visit each passing through as many completed areas as possible. You'll find lightseeds tend to lie along routes inbetween areas so you'll pick them up as you pass rather than spending time hunting them down.
2) The controls are far to easy on you, i didn't notice until i accidently let go of button and expected to fall to my death ...only to find i didn't. I then spent some time pushing the limits of how little i could do and discovered how little you actually have to do. I prefered the old ps2 controls which allowed for greater flexibility even though they were tougher to manage. I do like the gauntlet idea though.
3)Fighting, I do miss some of the combos you could do, i'm fairly certain no-one actually used the entire combo list (they were huge) but it allowed you more freedom of choice. And the trigger button things are just plain annoying and interrupt the battle. Plus the fact you only get one enemy at a time, kinda boring i found. And it didn't reallly get that much harder as you progressed.
4)The panel, plate things, it feel sometimes like they couldn't be bothered to design a more challenging route at time, so they stuck in the series on plates, which is ok sometimes, but after a while just becomes tiresome...it really shows that the last route you have to take has a 16 in a row plate combo.
5)Lack of choice at the ending, i personally would of liked the choice to honour elika's wish as it were. maybe you can, i plan to go and jump off a cliff at the end and see what happens. But that personal choice really..

Basically if you've played the previous prince of persia's its not nearly as good, i know nothing can really replace things like the dagger of time but...*sigh* they very nearly had a good game.
I wouldn't recommend buying it, go the old trilogy if you haven't already, your money is better spent on that.

Out of curiosity, have any of played the new prince of persia? What do you think?

This has mostly been due to uni dropping 2 pieces of coursework on me at once which will keep me occupied for the next few weeks, on top of the 4 sheets of work i get a week
Added to this i have taken up jiu jitsu which occupies 2 of my evenings and in general i just seem to have less and less time for stuff like DA
I will still be online, but i may take a few days/weeks sometimes for a reply.

I would love to say more about the expo, it was epic and i can't wait for may to meet you all again but again time is a limiting factor here, I won't bore you all with stuff you've probably seen in other peoples journals.

And the reason I've been away the past few days is that i won a trip to disneyland paris for the weekend
Sadly none of my friends could come so my family came with me, I would of liked to appreciated it more, but i was soooo tired _{not even mentioning work i spent saturday afternoon working whhyy?}, it was still lovely though saturday evening to have the park to ourselves (being approx 200 people) and being able to order whatever food we wanted for free.

Anyway I will try and update this with some pics eventually

Nevertheless I am enjoying uni life, I've made some friends, I don't go out drinking though (it probably saves a hell of a lot of money), and my timetable is designed to inflict maximum tiredness, but its all good now ^^

That would be at the mcm expo in may 2008, I saw an urahara cosplayer, with benihime, with the geta sandles _{that took ages to find} though I wasn't completely sure until you turned around. I met you again a few times during the expo on saturday and sunday, hopefully this expo i'll get to talk to you some more

hmmm...bangers and mash Either that or stir-fry, which i seem to be living off at uni.

Cats, my family has always had at least one cat so i've grown up with them. I absolutely love them, I'm always stroking them if i see a cat on the street and I think they're lovely animals.

Is talking to me on msn. As she's currently 2 hours away from me at home. As for your mom...how would i know?

Suppose so, my prefered drink is tea though.

Err sunny in autumn, winter and spring, i love the crisp sunny bright days, when its cold enough that you appreciate the sun on your face. In summer i like rain like summer storms 8D

I like to think I am a nice person, but i do have a tendency to be sarcastic if i don't think about what i'm saying. However if i'm feeling shy i tend to very polite, either that or giggle

which would be good except for the three 8:15am lectures in the morning and if it isn't 8:15 its 9:15am.
And to add to that some of my days end as late as 6pm, possibly 7pm if i need to go to one of the extra computing drop in sessions.

I do have plenty of free time inbetween, however my accommodation is off campus, I would need at least an 2 hour break to make it worth while going back to my accommodation, of which 40 min at least would bus travel. So bascially once I'm on campus for the day, I'm going to have to stay. ¬¬

As for my accommodation, its nicer than I expected I expected some small dark box, as it was the last accommodation left.
In fact its quite nice...almost...spacious XD
And even better its cheap, I've seen other peoples rooms who are paying the same, and more than me...and honestly, I wouldn't swop.

I need more stuff to cover the walls though, I was thinking about buying some prints from DA...but to get them big enough it costs a bit. I might buy 1 after my birthday.
Being in town is nice actually, its really is beautiful specially roud by the roman baths, plus shops are less than 5 mins away.

However there aren't any cheap stores, to give you idea, there isn't a Primark, because local residents and coucil think it will lower the tone

I'll stop talking about uni. Hope everyone else who is going/gone to uni is settling in well and enjoying themselves.

Anyway regarding the expo, now I have my timetable, I can start planning. The plan is after my lecture ends at 2:05pm (theoretically) I can go back to my accommodation, grab all my stuff, run to the station and get the the train to london. Which should take an hour and a half, and then I need to get the tube across London, which will take another hour at least.
Hopefully I can get the 14:43 train if i run fast and pack everything the night before, and get to the premier travel inn for about 5:30pm.
Which is great, but all depends if lunasmoon (who's name the room is in) has turned up, if not i'll have to find someone to annoy until then
As for going back, I'm planning to go to the DGM photoshoot after the expo and I don't know how long that'll take. However i will have to leave by 10pm at the latest to catch the last train back to Bath. I don't want to be stranded for 6 hours

As for cosplays:
Sunday -> General Klaud Nyne: Apart from the hair all done.
Saturday -> Ukoku Sanzo: ...not finished..by a lot. I plan to start making the robe tomorrow, but i still need to style the wig, make the scripture and the gold thing at the front
I'm not going to the ball, and i may do General Klaud both days if I can't finish ukoku before the expo.

I'm sharing my kitchen with 4 other people which is relatively good. Theres 2 guys so far and a girl, and last person hasn't arrived yet.

The room is reasonably big, though i need some posters to go over the spots where blue tack has peeled paint off the walls

Its very annoying though that i'm in town rather than on campus, i have to get the bus each time i want to go to uni. But it does have the advantage that i'm near the shops if i need stuff.

i'd like to meet more people, but i'm not really a big fan of alcoholic drinks and pub tours. Specially not knowing many people around me.
I might try going to the uni bar tomorrow night..


*sigh* missing home and my friends already though

^^ went to my first every cosplay meet outside of the expos yesterday. I really enjoyed it despite that fact my outfit is nowhere near finished. I fudged it so it looked ok for the day, but it says something when one of the arms fell off how well it went
luckily i was cosplaying general klaud nyne so i could get away with holding the sleeve in place

traveling there was tiring, 2 hours drive made longer by the fact lunasmoon (angel in disguise thanks for sewing all the stuff whilst i drove) and i had to stop at service station to fit my top, and we when we got to london we had to stop whilst lunas kindly finished sewing all the gold detail on the top and i gave myself a quick hair cut O_o _{which was a bad idea, my hair now has some odd short bits, for the expo i'll def be using hair extension to do that fringe}

Finally got there, met everyone and changed into my outfit and one of the arms promptly fell off
But had a great time at the photoshoot anyway, and then wandering round london, going to the Troc arcade and playing on DDR and going for lunch in a japanese restaurant
i can finally say i've tried ramen as well
Had fun playing find marian cross in hyde park, and tried not to laugh too much when the allens went round with a drawn picture of cross asking random people 'have you seen this man?'

Unfortunately had to leave after that took about 3 hours to get home with an hour of tube travel and 2 hours of me driving...

I'll post a pic myself when i've actually finished, i need to sort out the hair and the top desparately, i need to resew almost all the gold detail (as opposed to glue gunning it in places) on the top and sort out the sleeves. And my hair looks bad because it was really windy, my hairdressing skills are epic fail and i hadn't actually sorted out how i was doing the hair until about the night before.

but it was fun

Sorry i haven't been replying to messages quickly as well, I spent the last 5 nights up to gone midnight trying to finish my cosplay in time for wednesday. So i've been kinda tired.

so here i am stuck in limbo waiting
I've reached my insurance offer so i'm ok, but i can't apply until cambridge formally reject me.

I'm so annoyed the way cambridge is messing around with me, after all my hardwork they give me the most unattainable offer they could, and when i fail to get it they don't even have the decency to reject me so i can get on to applying to my insurance. I'm fed up, i just want to know where i'm going, and now i'm hoping its not cambridge, i'd rather go to bath now.

I just want to know which way, i believe they have until the 16th to tell me

but until then i'm hanging, and its fustrating

I'm really sorry I disappeared for a few days without warning, the computers in our house conspired to all crash together. Leaving our entire family with 1 tempermental laptop.
¬¬ needless to say its been hard to get on the internet at all

However now I have my own laptop tis all shiny and new 8D
and it has internet access XD

so never again will i have to say goodbye or leave your messages for days without answering (hopefully )
you shall never be rid of me again, or have to listen to me moaning about my old computer

so sorry about that and the fact i haven't been on the net reliably for ages

On a separate note swordmkaing has well......not happened, the weather has either been too wet, too windy or i've been working (or all 3) Looks like i'm not going to get any swords done at all this summer if it keeps up like this

Also I've been working my fingers to the bone sewing my new cosplay so i can go with lunasmoon to the DGM meet in london on the 20th. I'll hopefully be going as General Cloud9 but dear god its so complicated. Currently:

Belt/side skirt - nearly finished
Sleeves - WIP
Top - don't ask

And if anyone knows where i can get cloud9's monkey and could direct me to a site i'd be really grateful

...and finally...does anyone know where the UCAS office is located and who thought up that bloody stupid idea to send everyone letters about finance and stuff 3 separate letter in 3 days and it was the little 'results in less than 2 week ' that really irritated me ¬¬ i was having a nice relaxing time forgetting that up until then *twitch* couldn't they have just sent 1 letter a week before

-It was wet (Except tuesday)-My friend and I spent large amounts of time reading and/or watching House-They have a nice zoo -Its very very expensive -oh and it rained...again

All my pictures looked really dull and grey which is why I haven't posted any.

But on a brighter note I went to thorpe park on thursday and it was amazing _{i've only been once before, but it wasn't really planned, we were going to france but we forgot our passports} this is the first time i've been to a proper theme park and been
1. old enough to go on all the rides, and
2. with people who want to/can go on all the rides with me so much fun

so i'm now planning a trip to alton towers, and possibly a reunion (after uni starts in november) on a fright night to celebrate my friends and i's collective birthdays ^^

umm also working on my cosplay, i'm trying to make my first full cosplay without buying anything from ebay i think its going well, its taking time though

also still working on itegumo i think its finally finished this time, it just seems everytime i go to spraypaint it i spot a new problem, have to chisel off the spraypaint, sort the problem out and then wait weeks for some decent weather but i will finish it, hopefully next week and then i can post it and think about other swords to make

and finally its too hot DX I would go and throw myself in the local park lake but I think i'd die of something

Only 3 exams to go until complete freedom, tomorrow is my last A-level exam, then next week i have 2 "extension" papers as part of my uni offer.

...I'm hoping I've done my best and got the results I need, but i'm glad this week is over, 5 days of exams in a row (well it will be tomorrow) is really getting to me. The constant revising followed by exams followed by more revising is just sapping my will to live.

So I just have to get through tomorrow's 1h30 exam and through the 2 next week..

....¬¬ but the sadistic person who thought up 3h maths exams without a calculator or book of maths formulae that i have next week twice obviously doesn't want me to make it that far

I am now onto my final a-level exams. Starting next wednesday and continuing for 3 weeks I'll be stressing over the exams which will be deciding which uni i go to
So apologises if i seem a little out of sorts over the next month ;(

Still have some expo pictures to post but i'm trying not to spam people's inboxes to much...

So to cheer myself up from the impending doom of exams, anyone planning to go to octobers expo? one day? both days? and the cosplay ball? a little early i know but...i'm bored 8D

Once exams are over I'll be starting on my cosplays ( and swordmaking ) ...just..must...do....exams..first

Friday:
Drove up to london, it took 4 hours once you included the breaks and traffic jams on the M25. Very tiring as it was the furthest I've ever driven in 1 day. ¬¬ and wasn't helped by the fact that when we got there, though the travelodge gives it address as being on one road, the entrance is actually on another road I was not amused, especially as i was tired and hungry.
^^ But lunasmoon, x-amykins-x and i got there safely so i guess it was all ok

Saturday:
cosplay: ukitake

First day of the expo Got very impatient waiting for lunas and amy, eventually we decided to have breakfast at the expo because we were running late...not to mentioned the funny looks the travelodge staff and the people queueing for breakfast gave us when we checked out
this was all then not helped by me choosing the wrong queue for us to join..guys i'm sorry, really.

Eventually got in...god was it busy though, realised that my ukitake cosplay may have been a mistake with the long sleeved cloak and long wig. I was boiling and kept annoying lunas and amy to go outside because i was overheating. Went to the bleach meeting at 11am, which was just amazing, the don was just plain amusing and everyone's oufits looked great. I'll post pics soon of the group shot. It was nice to meet all the people i had been talking to running up to the expo

Unfortunately we weren't able to get tickets for the masquarade but i think if we had i may have just died from heat exhaustion had we got it.
We left the expo about 2 hours before it finished, mostly because we were going for 2 days so we could afford to leave earlier and the fact we were quite tired (and hot)...
Managed to get successfully lost leaving th expo, but after a random detour around tescos and having to back track to the expo again we finaly found the travelodge again.
Dinner was a rather nice chinese from a local take away ^^ thank to the staff member who kindly lent us his menu and trusted us to bring it back

Sunday:
cosplay: ichimaru gin

Weather was sunday was appalling, made driving ..interesting with all the surface water. Somehow managed to get all my hair under my wig and get it to stay (my hair is at least midway down my back) lunas changed her cosplay to inoue in a shinigami outfit because it was really wasn't the weather to wear a schoolgirl outfit. amy changed from hiyori to captain urahara because her hair was annoying her (however she didn't have a captains cloak, so she borrowed mine from yesterday and put 'hug me' over the number on the back to disguise the fact it was ukitake's cloak)

Getting out of the travelodge was amusing, as it was pouring with rain, it ended with me getting the car and parking as close to the doors as possible. We got to the expo again, parked, i got my shinso out for my cosplay and discovered to my horror...part of the tsuba had been snapped off on one side with help i managed to construct a tempoaray fix but i spent most of the day trying not to snap at people who hit the scabbard by accident ( shinso breaking put me in a bad mood my first sword...broken, so sorry if i was a bit out of sorts with anyone, it upset me, but i'm sure shinso is in capable hands now, and will be fixed)

Bleach meeting at 11am again, inside due to bad weather, though by now it had stopped raining. However straw sandels and water really don't mix so i kept the meeting inside.

This is mostly because I've spent the last 4 days making swords because my parents have been away ¬¬ so i can do what I want.

well actually they're not quite finished, I spent last night and today tidying up ( and attempting to get rid of the smell of spraypaint *desparately fans room to get rid of smell coming from swords in wardrobe*

So I'll be putting up pictures once I've finished, please be nice when you comment as its my first set of swords:

-Shinso (i need to wrap the handle)
-random dagger tanto thing (again needs the handle wrapped)
-Sword based on the one from shadow of the colossus (needs handle wrapped)
- Itegumo (errr....handle needs the end bit done, needs to be sprayed and then handle needs to be wrapped)

I was planning a sheath for shinso but after making a mess I gave up and decided to make itegumo instead, which is why it wasn't quite finished like the others.
ummm also I had the pieces for the dagger and shinso cut out before so it wasn't actually 4 days ¬¬ plus they're still not really finished.

I know these swords are far from perfect, but its been fun making them and its been a learning experience. oh yeah ¬¬ i still need to finish them before i start saying this.

..and also to tell you that hopefully I will be posting some pictures of lunas and I's attempt at cosplaying today...with the photos taken by the excellent ..

...it was one of the most embaressing things i've ever done, mostly because we went out to a location in a forest, which was great apart from the random people walking past (at which point lunas and i hid)...and unlike japan and places where people know about manga and cosplaying, the south of england isn't quite the same...
It probably wasn't helped by the fact we attempted to try aizen's pose of 'i will stand upon the heavens' when he disappears to hueco mundo...complete with us yelling loudly even though we were dressed as ichi and hichi at the time...
*goes off to bang head* why did i agree to that? why?
anyway i will post a few once i get them and lunas has messed around with them on photoshop

...again...someone tell me why i agreed to this?

I'll hear from Cambridge at the beginning of Jan so, fingers cross, however if they reject me I still have 4 other offers out of 5, which is bloody brilliant.

on happier note i can now get on with 2 cosplays for may, i'm starting early because of exams in january and the revision i'll be doing for may/june exams.

First of all a question- does anyone know what the design on the guard of ukitake's shikai is and can they direct me to a picture? looking at the manga there appears to be a design, but its too blurred for me to make out. Any help is much appreciated.

Gin's sword is in the process of being made, I'll post pictures when its finished, including the one of the accident i had trying to get the glue to dry faster, which resulted in it nearly set on fire....

2. When I'd just got better (literally the next day) I cut my finger open and had to go down a & e to get it bandaged up...so I couldn't write.
3. I went to Iceland ^^ (this reason i don't mind)

I've also been biting my fingernails about my university application, after I sent it off I had the horrible thought 'what if nobody wants to make me an offer?' Its a stupid thought but you hear horror stories of people not getting offers until february. I mean I think I'm good at my subject, but what if I'm not really?

Luckily I've had 2 offer (2! if i could put the 2 in capitals i would) and they're both realistic and achieveable and stuff. And I've had a third asking for an 'informal interview' (read as interrogation) and best of all my number one choice has sent me a questionnaire (i'm shocked they even replied, i'm crossing my fingers for an interview, if i get one, i can die happy they even thought bout accepting me)
Only one uni left to hear from

I'm glad its gone ok, your hear so many horror stories anout people predicted 5A's getting no offers but i have 2!

But the scenery was just...wow

very desolate though, it took my friend and i 10 mins to spot a tree

so i've taken loads of pictures, i'm currently sorting through them getting rid of the rubbish ones, and then i'll post them....

Also who read the new bleach chapter (i only got it today, sorry i'm slow) at least i only have to wait a few days to the next one...but also wow

The most fun thing I have ever done. Definitely going to cosplay again

Right, I'd like to make a request now because its likely people won't read all of this journal.
If anyone has photos, or has links to photos from the london expo please can they send me the links. I would be really grateful.


Best parts of the day:
-meeting the voice actor for ichigo
-all the random people photographing us
-sliding on the floor outside the expo ( because straw sandals slide so well)
-meeting all the other cosplayers (who were all really nice)
-edward elric doing a striptease in the cosplay contest ( really, i kid you not, the person is on DA, go have a look)
-just the whole day

As for cosplaying...well..i thinking of going as ukitake with his sword in shikai mode (because making that would just be amazingly fun) and i might try and make the costume this time rather than cheat with ebay.

*sigh* now i can start planning the next one

mwhahahah *cough...choke...dies* ...and i'm ill with a cold, which sucks...cos i wanted to go and see my friends at school¬¬

so i'm going to sneak into school at lunch and say hello for half an hour, i'm bored being ill at home and i want to talk to someone

i also want to know what people have got me for my birthday (yes i admit it) especially after being told i had to come in late so i wouldn't see something (it didn't really matter cos i was ill anyway) but i'm curious. plus another day of reading naruto may just fry my brain, i think i've read at least 100 chapters

Anyway this is how my costume stand at the moment:
Sword(s) : [IMG][link]
(this is actually ichi's sword, mine will be the same but white and grey, and we need to attach the chains, but apart from that...) Finished!
Wig: arrived, i now just need to get my hair to stay under it..
Outfit: just checked my tracking and its at stansted, should arrive monday, however i won't be there so i'll have to pick it up tuesday *sob*
Sandal and hat have arrived, socks will be black by the convention (you know what they say, third time lucky, they might actually go black this time)
Ichi's is at the same point (except the socks) Yachiru need to make her swords, but the rest of her costume is fine....
There will be pictures when the costumes arrive...

We've also just found out that Bleach for Wii and DS will be at the convention I don't care how the long the queue is, I want a go¬¬

OK, here's the story...i brought some fabric paint after discovering and reading the very very small print, that fabric dyes don't dye synthetics very well. I'm was trying to dye my 2 toed socks for my hichigo cosplay black and they came out looking a suspicious shade of very light grey.... .....not amused....

so i decided to paint them black with fabric paint, as i can't wear them with their current colour and i do need them to be black
After a trip to hobbycraft I end up with a small pot of fabric paint, the only black one they appear to sell entitled 'SHIMMERING JET BLACK'

...makes you think of black, with maybe a little bit silver glitter in, sorta metallic black...which i could of lived with....

NOT fricking sparkly blue....i'm not sure how to describe the colour, somewhere under the dark blue sparkleness there is black, i'm pretty saw i saw it, but when you out it in the light, you can't see it, or anything else for the blue sparkliness (you know its really hard to rant using words like this)


maybe i'm over reacting, this is quite likely, a certain someone laughing at me didn't help *twitch you know who you are* but if you're going to put blue sparkles in something, please label it metallic dark blue or something, NOT black...

Swords are being painted,costumes are being sent, and think thats all thats left, there will be picures when we have finished, but its all getting there...

..apart from yachiru's swords hurry up and start, ichi and i have nearly finished ours
