I am working on the shots that I did last weekend from the Atlantic Canada Top Model and Actors workshops and it was a amazing time I did have. I was lucky enought to meet some really talented people who are new and have been in the industry for a while. From this I took away some new knowledge about the fashion industry plus I got to confirm stuff I thought I knew already. It was a wicked time for me 3 days of shooting seminars, photoshots, chatting and just having fun. This definately was a battery charger for me and definately gave me a new since of drive and determinatino to do what I love to do lol plus those that know what I am like lol more people got to witness me dancing and shooting at the sametime haha.

The Holiday season has now offically started lol just listening to the radio and Santa made his appearance at the Mall to listen to all the kids so good luck with your travels around.


I was out earlier and walking, the sun was shining the usual sounds of the city are all around me and this thought came to my head, not sure if I ready it before or I made it up but her it is:

"As the sun touches this old face, it charges my soul and mind to create from within."

Just looking at this month and thinking it should be a good one. I finished up all the editing from my Halifax trip and have it all posted and the models have there emails of new photos to look threw and put up where they use to advertise them, either here or other spots.
I am already looking to go back again in the fall, found a coupel good new spots to shoot, plus some wicked new talent.
I want to try a new direction or dive further into it which ever you look at my work. I want to find some people to try some more artist nudes stuff out in nature. There is a couple cool spots around here and not far that I would like to try to get too, if anyone is interested, let me know

Just wanted to say that cause its july 9th today and last night they called for frost, WTF was that, its suppose to be 30C not 15C.

I have found a couple new models that have brought me new found joy and happiness in Shooting. They bring such energy and vibrance to the shoot, its amazing. This new energy is what I really needed to keep me going and get my mind thinking again. I am a creature of art, I live and breathe it everday so to loose the creative power is a big kick in the stomach to me.
I am still behind in editing but that is a never ending battle with me, I always seem to be.
Canada day is on Wednesday so I am also goin to take this time to wish all my fellow canadians and those that want to be a canadian that day, a Happy Canada Day and may your BBQ not quite that day lol.
ON a future note I am goin to be heading back down to Halifax the weekend of July 24th and looking forward to shooting down there again and meeting up with friends. I have some people already lined up for shoots its just of matter now of checking time slots and see what I need to organize


Well that is all for now, basically a note to say all is better and some stuff that is happening in my life if you care lol. See you all around the Da world or infront of my camera for some of you lol. Keep creating.

Well the nice weather is anyway. I was just working on my site updating the calendar and looking threw it. I am still learning how it works and some of the functions on there. Good thing I got a instruction manuel, probably the only time I have ever read one. I had a really good weekend, between shooting two good friends from Halifax, goin to a bikini contest that had the winners picked before they got on stage and going to see my oldest daugther perform in her end of season Syncro Swimming. That was pretty fun, I filled a card and a half shooting the whole event. Due to some events that have happened lately I am goin to be taking some time away from modelling photography here soon. Dont worry I want to do all the stuff I have booked and will show up to those and give you a 150% but I think its time I also go back to my orginal subjects also and mix that in there too. Mother Nature.
I am still thinking of offering Prints on some of my work, not sure about the whole thing yet, just working on the details cause I want it to be fair and also give the consumer the best Print I can for there money.
I would like to thank everone who watches me and takes the time to comment and favor my work I really do appreciate it.

I am just looking for some feedback and ideas on this. I have heard both good and bad stuff about the one DA offers and also some troubles people have had with it doing it threw there website. I would like to know if it is a good idea and would people actually be interested in buying prints from me to hang on there wall?
I am working on moving my website also. Right now its with feewebs and yes its good to start off with but it has its problems too. I am limited on space and bandwith, but after I move I will be unlimited and can actually have more of my work up and categorize it more instead of just the general ones that I have now. I should also be able to present the CD to the gallery owner too after this weekend and get that ball going, I wanted new work to use for that and as of late been pulling away on some websites and closing them down, lol I didnt realize how much I am on the web till you do that or try googling your name that freaked me out the first time.
I am booking stuff like crazy and have some great images coming in the near future, with some wicked models. You will see alot of new to me faces and maybe a few returns also. I am really goin to push hard to get outside more to shoot this summer, I have been goin pretty hard in the studio with some new lighting techniques and approaches, if you didnt notice and if you did good for you you are smarter then the average bear.

Just wanted to say it was a great weekend, I spent in Halifax and it was a wonderfull time. I got to see freinds and do a couple shoots. Stay tuned for the photos. Well its been a interesting time since my last journal entry, I have been busy working on some projects and started to bring work together for the CD I have to submit to the Gallery. The hardest part so far was to write a bio on me, then to top it all off to write it in 3rd person.
This is goin to be a busy week, shooting most of the week plus on saturday I am doing a team shoot with another photographer in town and by the looks of it we are goin to be working(if you can call it that) form 10am till midnight. I love it, havent done a good long shoot like that in awhile so it will be good for my soul, the other photographer on the other hand has never done one liek this its usually go shoot one client and go.
For those that care I am heading back down to Halifax on April 17-18th, I have a couple shoots so far, but looking for some more. If you are interested in shooting with me or just coffee, let me know.
I am almost forgot the hightlight of my whole week. I had a meeting on Friday past with a new model to out area and she is gorgeous. with tattoos, piercings and she likes my work and wants to work with me. I am flattered. We talked and shot ideas back and forth, so to make a long story short, she is goin to Montreal, shortly with her BF and after she is back we are going to shoot. Stay tuned for that

This week has been overall a really good one. I have been talking to a Commercial Gallery here in town to see if I can get a spot to show my work and it turns out yes I can. I have to submit a CD and bio of the work I want to put in and this will go before his committee. I was told the names of the People that will be reviewing my work and wowo I am little scared but in a good way, they are all phonminal photographers and heavey hitters in this bussiness and I know to pay attention to what they say because it can only help me.
I know my stuff it not for everone and can't be placed in certain galleries in town like in the library or City Hall so this will be a great chance for me to really get my name out there to different people then the ones that already know me. He was telling me that I need to come up with a magic number of photos and write a bio about me and the work. I am goin to have fun doing this, because no one likes to write about themselves. Yes I do have a body of work to pick from but my techniques and abilites have changed and my work is goin in a couple directions.
Right now I also had to change my Bussiness Plan and thought process to do this also. I had to come to grips with having to have prints for sale and that my work could be in someone's house or private collection. Well I will keep you informed as this goes, I have lots of work ahead of me.
I did finally upgrade my PC also, lol, the old one was dying slowing and I needed ot do that, so this is my first journal entry for my new PC lol I am going from a Pentium3 866 megahz to this celeron duel core. Wow the speed lol

I really just wanted to say Glad Jan. is almost done and happy to be moving onto February. Been getting lots of interest in my work lately and getting some new clients threw Facebook of all places, well I guess that would be the new word of mouth lol in the cyber age, dont get me wrong I am not complaining, just saying. I have gotten models and clients threw there in the past, just lately its been more.
We got a nice storm here lastnight, it started off snow, for about 15 cm then changed to freezing rain then rain, so it made the roads and anything outside nice to deal with, haha such is life in eastern canada, and I would have it no other way.
I just want to also take this time to thank everone who does take the time to look at my work and comment and favorite it, I do try to leave a note on your pages, but somestimes its just crazy. I just wanted everone to know I do appreciate it.
I have been talking to a local Gallery here in town to see what are the requirements to get some work in and submit a show. After talking to the owner for a bit and looking at one of my favorite artist work that was there, it was by the way lol, I am working on gettin some work together to hang come summer, fall. Not sure how many pieces yet, would like to get at least 6+ to have it worth my while, and i would like for it to be newer work also. I already know of a few photos I want in, just need ot go threw my HDD to see if any others strike my fancy or do I want to redo any of them.

On another note, I found a photo of mine today that was not only redone in PS but he has the nerve to offer it as a PRINT. I want to know where the fuck he got the right to do that. ITs mine and no one has the right to say what happens to my work, even the models I shoot. I had to add this statement to my work in the past "All work is Copyrighted and cannot be used without written permission from me." SO to clearify that a little it means dont fucking touch my photos, they dont belong to you stupid, I dont shoot stock!!!!!!!!!!

Just sitting looking threw DA and my usually list of work that I get in my Watch list and I am really liking what I see and look forward to more.
The Fall colours here are in full bloom and I am really looking forward to getting out and shooting with them before they are all blown off the trees or we hit the November rains. Lately I am just wanting to do more artist work with funky, movements and poses. I was working with one lady last week that really turned this key and is making me want to do more, so I guess I am looking for models that are interested in Funky Fashion and figure study.

I have been really enjoying the work coming from and some of his models are two of my favorites he works with but they all are lovely and deserve you taking a look

I am looking inward for inspiration and reason and gripping onto the time of year and next big Holiday, All Hallows Eve, cant wait. I would like to do a few shoots with this theme or idea. I am also looking to do some outside artist shoots with the fall colors. The frost has started here and the leaves are changing so my window is limited to how long I can do this.
As of right now I am thinking of making a trip to Halifax in mid October so anyone interested let me know. As I figure out more, I will let you know.

On a another note life is going pretty good, I am working lots and keeping busy. I still am looking for fitness models to do a body study and also looking to make a calendar also. Its been rainy here for quite a bit and that is starting to affect me alittle, as much as I am a night person, I do like to see the sun every once in a while. LOL good think I can pretend with studio lights but still doesnt completely fill the void.
I am looking to book up the rest of September and October, with Halloween, Christmas coming up, anyone up for a themed shoot in one of those seasons let me know, I would love to get a early start on both, lol maybe start a new idea and make halloween cards.

First of all, I am trying to get usto the new setup for DA and I am not sure weither I like/dislike it yet, still experimenting.
NOt much is going on with me lately, just working and photographing, so I just want to encourage you to go visite one or all of the people I have featured down in my different lists. They are all amazing talents in there own right and if you havent seen there work, now is a good time to do it when your hiding from the heat.

Just wanted to say Hello and hope everones summer is off to a good start. Myself I am planning lots and hoping to take a few more trips. I am still looking for fitness models for a a figure study both male and female are welcome on this. I am also wanting to do lots of work outside this summer and limited my work in the studio to what I need to do there.
Canada day is coming up here soon and want to wish all my fellow Canadians a Happy Day on this one and get out and show your love and Pride for this country. I am also going to take this time to wish a happy day to our friends south of us on there day on July 4th.
