so. watchers. would you pay for drawings from me? what would be the highest you're willing to pay for the kind of stuff in my gallery? there will be different prices for different things, obviously, but I just want to know if anyone would be interested, and what kind of price range I'm dealing with. I'll probably offer sketches (cleaned up pencil illustrations, like the moleskine pages), digitally colored stuff (like the Cheated, Gordon Freeman, Darth Vader and Monster drawings), and I guess anything else I can come up with.

First off, the migraine made it to 12 days straight, before we went to the hospital to get a shot that made it go away. It burned like hell. A few hours later, I felt really weird. My legs were feeling restless like I wanted to go run a mile, but the rest of me was weak.

Then I took a shower, and when I got out, my neck wouldn't stop tilting back, and I couldn't talk right. Then my jaw kept locking to the side, and it hurt like hell. We went BACK to the hospital, because I was having an allergic reaction to the shot that was making my muscles spasm. Got another shot, it put me to sleep for 12 hours. I'm really achy now.

Oh, but before that, I got a guitar. And it is really nice. So, uh, yay? But also not yay.

It's cool though, because apparently I was operated on by one of the best surgeons in the country, and I've been on lots of antibiotics to get these weird toxins out of me. Still really weak and stuff though, and it hurts to do some stuff. But I'm pretty much okay now.

But yeah! That was fun. Hospital food made me sick, the bed fucked my back up, and I didn't enjoy being basically naked for a week, so I'm pretty happy to be home.

I'm going to try drawing soon.

Benito Cereno and Nate Bellegarde are two very awesome comics people, and I've thoroughly enjoyed pretty much everything they've done (that I could manage to get my hands on). The first Hector Plasm story, along with all the back-ups from Invincible (redrawn for aforementioned first book), was fantastic. I've told a lot of you guys to read it on other occasions, but seriously, if you haven't? Please do so. I think this offer is still valid.

ANYWAY! This is another Hector Plasm book, that I can only assume is about Halloween. It's probably going to be pretty great. Look for it!

Anyway, yeah! Movie Week. This past week (or so) has been very good for me in terms of movie-viewing, and tonight may very well have been the best of it. And now a list (and brief write-ups) of the movies I saw (roughly) this week!

-The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou: This was amazing, and I'm disappointed in myself for going this long without seeing it. I tried to watch it a few years ago, but I wasn't able to pay attention due to some school work and a bed time that cut right into the movie, and I never really thought to go back and give it another try. It was fantastic. Please see it, all of you.

-WALL-E: Honestly, I can't really say anything positive about WALL-E that hasn't been said already, a hundred times, by others. I will say that it almost made me cry several times, and that it was beautiful, but more than that, well... You really just have to see it for yourself. Which I recommend you do.

-Be Kind, Rewind: This is another one I wish I'd seen earlier. Particularly, when it was in theaters. I kept putting it off for other things, until it was eventually taken out of the theaters, and you get it. I got the DVD, and finally sat down and watched it. It was, as I expected, also fantastic. It was very creative, funny, and altogether very charming and enjoyable. Another one I would highly recommend.

-The Dark Knight: I just saw this tonight, about an hour ago now. It was AMAZING. Just... Holy shit. It makes Batman Begins look like crap (okay, maybe not that bad, but you get what I mean), and I loved Batman Begins. The fact that I loved it is really very problematic, because, well... Nobody else can play the Joker the way heath Ledger did. Nobody. Before actually seeing it, I thought maybe Crispin Glover, but no. Nobody else could do it, and nobody else can do it. I really wonder how they're going to manage with further films in the series without him.
Anyway. Regardless of that, it was fucking grand. Easily the best superhero movie yet, and I did see Iron Man. Do yourself a favor and see it.
