The first couple of months were tough, it's hard to find a job around here, especially a decent graphic design gig. But thankfully I've found one, haven't started yet but I'm hoping it'll help me make something of myself.

Been somewhat of a crazy summer, lots of little suprises, some good, some bad. But overall I've enjoyed it. Life is very different away from Chavón, quiet, surreal village with 120 other people, vs. massive metropolis swarming with 8.3 Million others.

I recently had my Nikon D80 stolen (along with my iPod and PSP)so I haven't been able to keep up with my photography, probably the most unfortunate thing that has ever happened to me, but there's not much I could do I guess, I'm working on replacing my camera as soon as possible, looking into getting a D90. I'm really hoping I'm able to buy one within the year, It's a pain walking around NYC without a camera, this place is a photographers gold mine.

I'll be posting some new work in the next couple days, old graphic design Projects from school.

But when I really started to look around, i started realizing how much these shots really represented what life in "one of the top ten design schools in the world" is like. It gave me the idea to start a hopefully ongoing series of photos about the life of a student in Chavon, and possibly any other dedicated art school in the world. I'm tired of hearing from people "Art student? haha you've got it easy huh?". So i hope that when this series is done, it'll give a little more insight to what an art students life is really like.

*I havent gotten around to writing the actual descriptions of what each photo represents, but I will sometime between today and tommorow(I hope), check back if your interested*

So I get on my facebook earlier today and see a friend I dont really get to talk to often posted me
a link. I check the link and its this awesome video dedicated to my art :O. I thought it was an amazing thing to do on his part, and thought maybe some watchers might wanna see the video.

Just got back from 2 weeks of an intensive drawing course in my future college with a teacher who tried really really hard to suck out my soul and do his little dance all over it. But hey, I'm back, and I wanna do another feature, this time for portrait photography, I've become a lot more interested in it lately, so I wanna see some great photography and give those deviants the couple extra views they deserve.

Hey whats up? yeah I've been completely dead on deviantart for a while, I took 6 weeks to work and earn some money. Now I've got a new Nikon D80, I've taken a few photos with it since I got it and I'm very, very satisfied.

I also finally got accepted into college, Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design. I'll be studying graphic design there for 2 years, and since chavon only goes as high as an associates degree I'll be finishing in another school. Seeing as Chavón is linked to Parson's in New York hopefully I'll be able to transfer into Parson's to study photography.
