But in actuality he's kinda awkward socially (in that adorable way) and doesn't know how to talk to girls. Or guys. Yeah, he's just awkward. Kinda like OCD Boy. They're similar, but Chinese is a bit more charming.

Brideshead Revisited was made into a Brittish miniseries 25 years ago, and I recently bought the 25th Anniversry collector's addition of the boxed DVD set.
Last year, the book was made into a movie. It was an excellent movie, by the way, and please go see it. The movie took on a very different tone than the miniseries did, and, I think, captured the novel's essence better than the miniseries did. Anyway, on Tuesday, I ran over to the store and bought it, and watched it 5 times thereafter.
Hahaha. Yes. I am obsessed.
Oh. Right. What's the book about you ask?
Well, basically, its a love story about a man named Charles Ryder who falls madly in love with the Lord Sebastian Flyte. -ahem- Yes, they're both guys, but their relationship is only implied anyway, so it doesn't really matter. xD What makes the novel so intruiging is the fact that it takes place in Depression-era England. Yes, that would indeed complicate things.
Anyway, I'm going to go watch the rest of the miniseries now, so yes, off I go. x3

Well... Baron is addicted to money, so that wouldn't be too bad. In fact, I think it would be better for Demitri to be addicted to moolah. It's way better than being addicted to heroin.

And even then, only certain brands of red wine would even hope to be satisfactory. But all those things aside, steak is my favorite food.

Comparison 1: 1 & 5

Characters: Henry Kobayashi & Ryan Aston

Which character is kinder?: Ryan. While neither of them are truly mean, Henry has more of a temper. Ryan is really mellow. Even if he does get mad at someone, he's easier to forgive, and won't hold a grudge. Henry, on the other hand, will not only bite your head off in the heat of the moment, but he will hold a grudge for a very long time. How nice.

Which character is more intelligent?: Ryan. I mean, Henry's not a doofus, but Ryan is not only older and wiser, but he's had more schooling than Henry. Ryan might seem like a complete and utter moron, but he isn't.

Which character would be better to ask advice from?: Ryan. (huh? why is Ryan winning?) He will genuinely try to assist someone in their time of need, and he'd give pretty good advice, too. He's very sympathetic, and an easy person to talk to. Henry, however, is a bit tactless, putting it nicely. He'd probably make the situation worse.

Which character would make a better parent?: Ryan, when it comes down to it. They'd both be pretty good parents. Both Ryan and Henry would love their child with all their heart, but would have no trouble disciplining their child either. But Ryan would love a child, regardless if he was the father or not, like if he had a stepchild. Henry, on the other hand, wouldn't consider that child to be his own. He needs a child to be his own flesh and blood to really care for it.

Which character is more open-minded?: Ryan. He's willing to change his opinions and beliefs, and lives by the motto 'treat others how you want to be treated.' Henry has the ability to change his opinions and beliefs, but I honestly think he's too stubborn to actually act upon it.

Who is more likely to get arrested for a crime?: Neither. But if it came down to it, Ryan. If he absolutely had to, he'd do something illegal. Henry would never put himself or others at risk like that.


Comparison 2: 2 & 4

Characters: Charles & Greg

Which character is kinder?: Greg. Definitely Greg. While Charles is much more outgoing and warm, he's also sarcastic, tactless, and an overall jerk. Once you get to know Greg, he's very kind and friendly.

Which character is more intelligent?: Greg. While Charles may have more life experience, he's made himself up a pretty sucky life. Greg, on the other hand, has made himself a pretty decent life. Not to mention Greg has actually finished college.

Which character would be better to ask advice from?: Greg. Charles wouldn't even give someone advice unless he either knew you extremely well, or it benefited him. Even if he did give advice, it would probably be advice you'd not want to follow. Greg, on the other hand, would sincerely help someone out, and try is best to put himself in their shoes.

Which character would make a better parent?: Greg. Charles has already shown how bad of a parent he is. Not to mention he drinks, smokes, and does drugs. Charles isn't neglectful to his child, it's just that he's not that kind of guy. Greg wouldn't do too well as a parent, but he's much more responsible and respectable than Charles.

Which character is more open-minded?: Greg. He knows how it's like to be at the receiving end of close-minded people. Charles has the ability to change his beliefs, but only if he is presented with something new by someone he loves.

Who is more likely to get arrested for a crime?: Charles. (wow, he's finally up here.) He has already done a lot of very bad stuff. Greg would only break the law if he absolutely had to. Charles is the type to break the law just to break it.


Comparison 3: 3 & 9

Characters: Ashley Bennett & Hoc Kobayashi

Which character is kinder?: Ash. Hands down. She's very kind to most people she meets automatically. Hoc, on the other hand, is a bit mean even to people he knows and loves.

Which character is more intelligent?: Hoc. Hoc is very intelligent, way above average. Ash isn't dumb, but is of just average intelligence. Hoc also has a lot more common sense than Ash would ever dream of having.
